Jessy woke a little after 4am, refreshed and when she stretched the soreness in her ribs and stomach quickly brought memories of last night, the assualt, the arrest, the police station. She rose quietly and headed to the bathroom, looking in he mirror at the ugly bruise before stepping into the shower. "Sis, you okay?" Chele asked entering the bathroom. "Yeppers. Well I'd be better without this ugly bruise but I feel okay as long as I don't stretch or bump it. What on earth are you doing up at this hour? Who are you and what did you do with my sister?" Jessy teased. "Real smart aren't you? Jessy I'm just worried about you? I promised Zac, I'd keep an eye on you for him and call him if you woke and couldn't get back to sleep." Chele explained. "Get real, I can't get back to sleep because I've been sleeping eight hours." Jessy shared laughing as she wrapped herself in a towel and stepped from the shower. "Your turn." she suggested. "I think I will, I wasn't far behind you going to bed last night. What else was there to do, Tay left. I had dinner with Taylor Hanson." Chele sighed stepping into the shower. "Yeah you and Tay and the Tulsa Police Department keeping an eye on you, real romantic. I'm so jealous." Jessy teased. "It was a strange first date." Chele added and they both laughed. "I can't believe he cares. Gawd Sis Zac Hanson cares if I smile, if I'm happy, if I cry, he just cares. Is it possible? Maybe he's just being nice. You know his folks would expect him to treat me nice, maybe he's..." Jessy said suddenly getting quiet and staring at herself in the mirror.The ringing phone, snapped her back and she made her way to the other room, "Hello." she answered. "Jessy, baby are you okay this morning? Do you hurt? Mom wants to know if you're bruising babe? Umm she's got this cream that does something good, I forget what she said. Babe I didn't wake you, did I? I hope not Jessy. Did you sleep good?" Zac finally finished asking. "Man talk about the scream squad, that was some major lung power you had going there with the non-stop questions. Zac I don't remember half of what you asked hun. Let's see, Morning Zac. I'm okay hun, a little sore but I'm okay and I'll be much better once I see you and you wrap your arms around me." Jessy answered, adding, "Oh and I got the ugliest bruise. Last night it was red this morning it's just disgusting looking. I could hardly stand to look at it." "Baby I'm so sorry. I should have stopped her from hurting you." Zac apologized with such sadness in his voice. "Oh so you knew she was going to hit me and didn't stop her?" Jessy accused. "No Jessy." Zac declared, shocked she'd suggest such a thing.. "Zac I know there was nothing you could do to prevent this from happening. Please stop being so hard on yourself. Zac I know you wouldn't let anything happen to me. It wasn't your fault Zac, I don't blame you hun. I just couldn't feel that way Zac, not about you, you're special, you make me smile." Jessy shared heaving a big sigh. "You're special to me too, Jessy. I love it when I hold you in my arms, something magical happens. I've hugged some girls before but you're different when I hold you in my arms, everything is, is... I don't know how to explain it, it's just really special Jessy. I mean everything is just so much more when you're in my arms. I can't wait until you're in my arms again." Zac shared heaving a big sigh. "Oh Zac, I know, I feel the same way. When you hold me, the world seems so much more... I mean I feel so safe and protected in your arms. I feel I can do anything from your arms. Even sing. Zac I feel like singing. Do you think if I came out, you could run everything for me. That song you guys wrote that Isaac asked me to sing last night, the one I wasn't happy with the way it came out, I'd like to do it again." Jessy suggested. "Sure babe." Zac answered. "Wait a minute you just said I was different. How different?" Jessy pouted. "I did. I didn't say you were different." Zac insisted. "You most certainly did, you said you'd hugged some girls and I was different. And how many girls yuo been hugging on?" Jessy asked still pouting. "Man how'd we get here. Jessy I said you were special, you know, that kind of different." Zac pleaded. "Oh I'm special different. Well that's okay. I gotta go. I got a hot date with someone special who's hugs are to die for." Jessy teased and soon she was dressed and she and Chele were on their way to the guys' house. "Zac? We're here hun." Jessy said into the gate box and she heard a buzzer, "Morning babe. Come on in." Zac ordered and she pulled in and through the second gate, driving around to the studio. "Zac." Jessy squealed racing to his arms. "Morning babe." Zac said wrapping his arms around her being cautious of her ribs and stomach, adding, "Morning sis, he's on his way out." "Morning Zac. Thanks, I was about to ask." she replied and followed them into the studio where Jessy headed directly to the recording booth, pulling on headphones, "Zac I dreamed about this so whenever you're set, I'm ready to go." Jessy shared and Zac was busy throwing switches as Taylor joined him. He was soon on board with what was going on and the two signalled they were ready and Jessy began. "Jessy you rocked. Man that was fantastic." Taylor declared as the number ended. "Great job babe." Zac added giving her a thumbs up as he busied himself and soon was playing it back. "Zac stop it there. I want to try something different at that point." Jessy asked and shared her idea. "Ready on three babe. One, two, three." Zac signalled and Jessy wailed, singing with a new deeper understanding of the song. She sang with such emotion there were tears streaming down her face. "You okay babe?" Zac whispered making his was to her, wrapping her in his arms. "Just what I needed." Jessy sniffled, laying her head on his shoulder. "You really nailed it babe. That's what we had envisioned as we wrote that Jessy, how did you know." Zac whispered. "It's the way you make me feel Zac. Everything seems to make sense suddenly. Man that sounds so stupid." Jessy said hiding back in his arms. "Well shut my mouth and call me stupid then." Zac teased. "What?" Jessy asked staring at him as if he'd lost it. "Babe that's how I feel. I mean go figure Jessy with everything you've been through, all the hurt and pain, for us to conect at this time in our lives is pretty amazing. Like so meant to be." Zac shared, kissing her tenderly. "Ready to listen you two?" Taylor asked and then played it back as Isaac joined them. Soon the three were mixing and doing all sorts of things the girls had no clue to, so they headed up to the house to see who else was awake, meeting Walker as he made his way to the studio. "Come on in girls. They'll be in there forever." Diana explained. "You'd think they'd miss me but nah." Jessy shared. "They will if they need you to record anymore. Maybe they'll finally miss us then." Chele teased and they laughed at the image, all three shaking their heads no. They sat down to breakfast while getting to know each other. "Sweetie did Zac tell you about the cream I have that will heal your bruise." Diana asked. "Yes he did. You know it's so nice of you to think of me." Jessy said quickly looking away. "Oh sweetie, my baby is so taken by you, he really isn't giving me a choice but now I can see why." Diana exclaimed wrapping an arm around her, hugging her. "Ouch" Jessy yelped as she squeezed her ribs. "Sweetie I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking Jessy." Diana apologized over and over. "Please stop, I know you didn't mean to, honest I do." Jessy shared taking her hands, adding, "Honest I do. If you have a strong stomach I'll show it to you, it's really gross today." "Come with me, I'll get the cream." Diana suggested and the three headed up to her room. "Cool room. Love the pictures. Did Mr H take these?" Jessy asked. "I love this one." Chele squealed looking at a picture of Taylor. "I noticed that same smile on his face this morning. Is there something you'd like to share?" Diana asked. "Ummm. Oh my. I guess, I, I. Oh I don't know what to say" Chele said blushing. "Try the truth sis, you know, Mrs Hanson I adore your son." Jessy suggested. "Oh that's wonderful." Diana said. "I think so." Chele admitted as Diana helped Jessy apply the cream to her bruise. "Mom, Mom." they heard Zac calling. "Must have finally missed you." Diana suggested, adding, "Zachary we're in my room." "Hey Zac." Jessy said as he entered the room. "Hey Jessy." Zac replied gawking at her. "Zac?" Jessy asked as he continued to stare and Jessy placed her hand on his face, lightly caressing, adding, "Honest Zac I'm okay." "Oh Jessy, I was so worried when I realized you weren't there. I'm sorry I didn't notice you leave." Zac admitted. "You were really into whatever it was you were doing. Way to technical for me." Jessy said asZac wapped his arms around her and held her gently to him, kissing her frorehead. "You'll learn Jessy just give it time." Zac suggested kissing the top of her head. "Do I have too?" Jessy whined, adding, "Can't you just take care of that part and I'll visit your mother." "So you'd rather spend time with my mother huh? Where did I go wrong? Woes is me." Zac teased. "You butt. I'd rather spend time with your mother over learning all that technical junk. Besides she made me breakfast Hun did you eat?" Jessy asked. "Umm no I called you and by the time I was dressed you were here." Zac answered. "Come on. I'll make you breakfast." Jessy said smiling and pulling his hand. "You'll make me breakfast. Cool." Zac said as he followed her. "This I have to see." Chele said sharing Jessy lack of culinary skills to Diana and the two headed downstairs to find Zac bent over looking in the refrigerator while Jessy leaned over him, hugging him. When Zac finally decided what he wanted, he wrapped and arm around her leading her to the cupboard with the pans, then to the stove. He stood behind her with his arms wrapped around her all the while she was cooking, "I think I could learn to like cooking." Jessy teased leaning back and kissing his cheek. "Me too." Zac replied as he nibbled her ear and kissed her neck. "Man it's done. Boo hoo." Jessy pouted. "You sure maybe we ought to cook it for another hour or so." Zac said before returning to suck on her neck some more. "An hour. I won't have an unmarked piece of neck in another hour." Jessy teased. "It looks so cute." Zac said looking at his handy work. "Cute. Did you say cute? Zac it's a romantic bruise. Cute." Jessy squealed pulling away to grab a plate and served his breakfast, adding "Come on Mr Mark His Territory." "Well at least I'm not a dog." Zac teased. "What? Oh Zac you lift a leg and you're dead." Jessy squealed turning in his arms as they both started to laugh. "Mrs H, I'm sorry. Sis is really talented in the kitchen. I only hope I cook that well." Chele shared as the two began laughing. "What you laughing at?" Jessy asked turning back around. "Just how cute you two are together." Chele answered. "Again with the cute." Jessy whined as she made three cups of tea and they joined Zac while he ate. "I'd say Tay just realized someone was missing." Zac said pointing out the window. "Right. He's probably finally missing you." Chele answered. "I don't think he'd check out Jessy's car if he was missing me." Zac shared as they all looked to find Taylor. "Fine then he's missing Sis." Chele added. "If he's mssing me, he must want me to sing." Jessy suggested. "That's not the look of work on his face." Diana shared as the watched Taylor take the stairs two at a time. "Anxious I'd say." Jessy teased. "Definitely not the look of something work related." Zac chuckled at the big grin on Taylor's face as he reached the top of the stairs and saw Chele. "Nope that has nothing to do with the studio." Diana laughed as Taylor came through the door making a beeline to Chele. "Hey babe. You left without saying anything." Taylor said kissing her cheek. "But I did hun. Right after we made plans for tonight, don't you remember, I said to you, "Hun I know I'm bothering you, why don't I go up to the house and get out of your way so you can work." Don't you remember hun. You said "You could never be in my way, this is where you belong beside me." Oh Taylor you don't remember, you didn't mean it then. How could you, tell me that we'd always be together and all, and you, you didn't mean it. Oh Tay." Chele pouted with such sadness on her face. "Oh course I meant what I said. Babe you're everything to me and you do belong right by my side always." Taylor confessed taking her in his arms. "Oh Taylor." Chele sighed. "Oh Taylor." Diana sighed, adding, "Oh Zac I love your girlfriend too." "And I love you too. You take such good care of me, just like a real Mom." Jessy shared hugging her as her eye filled with tears and she became quiet before heading to the lake, skipping stones, while the tears ran down her face. "God help her. I could feel the sadness take over her. It just breaks my heart to see her this way." Diana share watching her as Taylor wrapped his arms around Chele, wiping her tears. "Sssh babe it's going to be okay. Look she's going to be okay." Taylor said turning her so she could see Zac reaching out to her, first taking her hand, then taking her in his arms as she cried. "She's crying. Oh Taylor that's so wonderful. Gramma said she hadn't cried yet, just tears running down her face. She will be okay, won't she?" Chele shared gazing at him, adding, "I'm sorry Tay. It was so mean of me to tease you like that. Taylor you didn't say any of that stuff, I made it all up. Sort of wishfull thinking on my part. Please forgive me. I didn't mean anything bad by it, just that, oh I'm so sorry." Chele apologized, collapsing in his arms. "Babe what are you talking about?" Taylor said holding her close, kissing the top of her head as his mother left the room. "Oh Taylor I'm sorry." Chele choked out and finally calmed down and shared the truth. "Oh I didn't say that. Man are you sure babe, I sure feel that way." Taylor shared lifting her face, kissing away the tears and gazing deep into her warm brown eyes, adding, "Maybe I didn't say it babe, but it is how I feel. You belong right here Chele. When I hold you in my arms babe there is just this overpowering feeling of contentment that sweeps over me. You do that to me, just you." They gazed into each others eyes for what seemed an eternity before he finally pressed his lips to hers, kissing her passionately as she moaned his name. "Taylor you complete me too. I never imagined it would feel this good, loving someone." Chele shared. "It doesn't babe. It only feels this good whem you love the right someone." Taylor suggested kissing her tenerly before they headed out to catch up with Zac and Jessy who were walking around the lake. "Hey you two." Chele called out as they neared. "Hey Sis, Tay." Jessy squealed. "What's up big brother, big Sis?" Zac asked stopping them and turning to watch them approach and they made plans for that evening. "Well be safe there lil sis. Ash is a real good friend of mine and he keeps a close eye on the crowds. They headed back to the studio to finish up before Chris and Christi arrived and they were in deep discssions of record deals, singles, videos, contracts. "Enough. Man you guys are giving me a headache. I'll sing, you decide what and where okay Zac? I can't take all this hun." Jessy shared placing her hands to the sides of her head."You okay Jessy?" Zac asked removing her hands and kissing her head. "Zac I got to get out of here. I know I want a new outfit for tonight, I'm tired of black. I'm going to go shopping. See you tonight okay hun?" Jessy pleaded. "Yeah you go shopping and I'll handle this part for you. Go have some fun." Zac said as Taylor suggested Chele go along and the two headed out.
