The girls finally came up for air, the crying, screaming, jumping stopped and they were walking towards the woods, talking. "You sure they're not sisters. They look so much alike." Chris asked. "Yeah they do, don't they. They used to tease Aunt Barb that she had Chele and then suffered amnesia, so Chele was raised by another family. She used to laugh at the two of them, then call Chele her baby. I don't think Jessy thought about how close Chele was to the family and how it hurt her too." Christi shared. "Hanson, Hanson. That's Hanson." Chele stuttered pointing at Zac. "Yeah Sis that's... oh my God, Zac." Jessy said running towards him. "Geez Zac, I'm sorry for just splitting. After everything you had done for me, you didn't deserve being ditched. I'm so sorry." Jessy apologized. "Hey it's okay. I know you haven't seen her in a while." Zac replied. "It's still no excuse Zac, I was wrong to exclude you after everything you did. Zac you made me smile and I hadn't smiled since, since my family was killed." Jessy said gasping at the fact she had said the words, finishing, "God he killed my family." "Jessy you okay?" Zac asked gently holding her hand, stroking it lightly. "Huh? I could use a hug." Jessy asked. "Sure Jessy." Zac answered wrapping his arms around her holding her tight. "Thanks Zac. Zac would you like to meet Sis?" Jessy asked. "Sure Jessy. You know she looks so much like you or you like her and I know you said you weren't related to her." Zac said taking her hand as they headed towards Chele. "Sis. Sis. This is Zac. Zac this is my big Sis, Chele. She's the best. Hey. he didn't kill my whole family, I still got you, don't I." Jessy introduced her eyes filling with tears again. "Jessy was telling me, you were the one that got through to her. Thanks Zac." Chele said hugging him tight then whispering in his ear, "Thanks for caring." "It was nothing. She's something special, you know." Zac whispered back. "Yeah I know. Shows how smart you are to figure that out." Chele said as Jessy wandered off, heading towards the lake. "She seems to be drawn to the water. Every single time things get to be too much, she's headed there. Just stares at her reflection, or skips stones." Zac shared watching her. "Why don't you introduce me to the rest of Hanson, while she sorts things out." Chele suggested and they headed to the studio, Zac turning back constantly, checking on her. "You really do care, don't you Zac?" Chele aske. "There's something about her Chele, I can't explain it. From the minute I laid eyes on her this morning, I knew there was something special about her. My heart broke the first time she lifted her head and I saw the pain in her eyes." Zac shared ending almost in tears. "I saw it, the pain, right before she wandered away." Chele replied as the tears started to fall. "Don't cry. She's going to be okay someday, I just know it." Zac said wrapping an arm around her. "Zac, promise me?" Chele pleaded. "Yeah I promise Chele. She's going to be okay someday." Zac pledged. "What's that?" Chele said turning around to see where the song was coming from. "That's Jessy. You act surprised." Zac questioned. "Sis? Nah." Chele said turning and heading back her way, shocked to find that it was Jessy. "When did this happen?" Chele asked. "Weird isn't it? I can't explain it. Maybe from giving the voice a rest, I screamed no at your place and didn't make another sound besides some sobs until that loser tried to get custody of me, then another month before all of a sudden I did this." Jessy said singing it again. "That's about Sam isn't it?" Chele asked. "Yep, that's what I wrote about him one day and the melody just came to me. I got to get it down." Jessy said heading to the car searching for staff paper and a pencil. Coming up empty, she headed to the studio, "Christi I don't find my backpack, I think I left it at the hotel and I need it. Wait, you must have staff paper and a pencil. Something new came to me I want to get it down. Help?" Jessy asked walking up to Zac gazing into his warm brown eyes. "Sure babe. Come on." Zac replied extending his hand. "Thanks." Jessy said as she smiled at him, taking his hand, following him to a keyboard in the corner as he pulled pencil and paper from a cabinet nearby. Zac pulled out and plugged in a pair of headphones, "Have at it Jessy. Write your heart out." Zac said heading back to the group. "Zac wait." Jessy called out. "What Jessy? You need something else?" Zac asked. "Umm yeah Zac." Jessy said making her way to him, "Zac, thank you." Jessy finished hugging him tight, "Just thanks." she whispered kissing his cheek as she pulled away. "Sure Jessy. I mean what I said. I'm going to make you smile girl whether you want to or not." Zac teased causing Jessy to smile so big she started giggling. "I love that smile and laugh, but as your boss, get your butt back to work and get that song down." Zac teased. "Yes sir, boss sir." Jessy said giggling as she headed back to the keyboard. "Wow, what a cute butt." Zac said turning red as he realized it was outloud. "What? How would you know? That's what I need. Be right back." Jessy said making her way back to the car and finding a pair of jeans, slipping them on underneath her jumper, then removing her jumper. "Whoa. Look what she was hiding. She's not only beautiful, she's hot." Isaac said pointing at Jessy now wearing tight fitting jeans and a baby tee. "Get it over with now because if she hears that from you guys, she'll be out of here so fast, you won't have any idea what happened." Christi warned. "Ike that's Jessy, how can you talk about her that way?" Zac demanded to know. "What? Zac I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way, you know disrespectful like. Okay Zac? Sorry man." Isaac apologized, shocked at his brothers reaction. "Zac it's more a got to know thing. If we're going to promote her right Zac, and that's what Jessy wants, right?" Taylor asked. "Yeah Tay but she's special, she ain't just a body and we aren't promoting her that way. Okay?" Zac shared. "You're right Zac. that's not her image and there's no way we'd promote her that way. She's got too much talent to have to use sex appeal to sell her music. I thought she was sexy, dressed in black, all covered up." Isaac shared. "Me too Zac. Her natural beauty will sell her, we don't have to push the fact she's hot. Anyway her music is to real for that kind of promotion." Taylor said as Jessy returned. "Jessy since you're going to write hun, do you mind if I head to the hotel, make sure they got the rooms right and get word to Gramma." Christi asked. "No. That's a great idea. I zone out once I start writing. Sis if you want to go it's fine with me. I really got to get this down while I feel it. Couple of hours tops. Sis you heard I've been writing ever since, umm, do you think you could, nah that's not fair to ask you to do what I can't. Sorry." Jessy explained. "Sis don't do this, don't answer for me. Not anymore. What do you need? Just ask. You need me to read your writings?" Chele asked. "Sis it's just you know I think you're a great writer and those first couple of months, I put down some really good things. You know there's another bit I did on Sam, but I don't remember it all and I think it would go great in this number I'm working on as a chorus. It's just in the beginning I wrote and wrote and wrote, never thinking I'd want to read it someday." Jessy explained. "Sure sis, I'll take a crack at it. If it's too deep, I'll just keep thumbing until I can handle it." Chele shared. "Sis there undone stuff in there and if anything moves you, go ahead and finish it. I know you've probably got as much inside you as I do. Put it down. You'd be surprised what happens when you do." Jessy said making her way back to the keyboard. "Walker I'm going to go too, and get busy drawing up contracts and get her signature on them before she changes her mind." Chris said. "Good idea. Boys I'm going up to let your mother know what's up, leave her alone, even you Zac. But son stick around, she seems to trust you so if she needs anything she may ask you is all." Walker said. "Zac I was just going to ask you that, stay nearby. She may just ask you for help or whatever she may need." Chrisiti asked. "You don't have to ask, I wasn't planning on going far. If it's okay can we go to dinner before I bring her home?" Zac asked, adding, "Oh sis I didn't think about you. Hey Tay make it a foursome?" "Yeah. I'd love to. I mean if it's okay by you Chele. You don't have to if you don't want too." Taylor asked. "Make it for pizza and you got a date. It's both of our favorite." Chele explained. "Fine by me. Actually there'a a great Italian restaurant downtown that has great pizza and everything else." Taylor shared. "Fettucine Alfredo. Umm." Chele moaned. "Umm. Now I know what I'm having." Taylor said walking her to the car. While Jessy worked on the song, the guys talked about their new venture and Jessy, Chele. "Man I really like this song." Taylor said singing harmony as Isaac and Zac joined in. "That was great guys. I was about to dump it. If you'd like it, I'd be honored." Jessy hollered from the back bringing all three her way. "You serious Jessy, I love the song. Why don't you?" Taylor asked. "When I started it, it was more a ballad but the more I got down, the more complicated it seemed to get. Now it's bigger than just me." Jessy explained. "I see what you mean. Can I look at it?" Taylor asked. "Sure, why don't you copy it and give it a try." Jessy suggested handing it over. "Zac, hun I need a bathroom. I can't believe I've been here this long and haven't asked. I guess I should drink something too." Jessy asked. "Sure babe, come on. What do you want to drink?" Zac asked taking her hand and leading her to the bathroom. "I drink everything you like Zac." Jessy said heading in the bathroom. "Here take these. I need to go too." Zac said as she exited the bathroom. "Sure Zac." Jessy said opening the other Juice and taking a swig then leaning against the wall listening to Tay and Isaac playing her song. "Jessy would you let me take you to dinner?" Zac asked when he returned to her. "I'd really like that Zac. When?" Jessy asked. "Tonight okay?" Zac asked. "Tonight's fine but.." Jessy tried to say but Zac put a finger to her lips. "Tay and Chele are coming along. I know you haven't seen her in quite some time and I don't mean to keep you apart babe." Zac finished for her. "How'd you know?" Jessy asked not waiting for an answer, "I don't care how you know, I like it." Jessy replied taking Zac's hand and heading to the recording booth and the three ran through her song. "Oh, I love it this way. It's great guys." Jessy squealed as Isaac called the house to have their Dad come record it for them. "This is really good guys. Jessy this is what you want?" Walker asked. "Oh yeah, Hanson is singing my song. I can't believe it. This is fantastic. Man I have a couple more about the same thing, I got to the point where the song was bigger than just my voice. I'd love it if you'd give them a listen too?" Jessy asked excitedly. "Sure Jessy but can we do it after I take you out?" Zac asked. "I don't know. Take me out? Me and You, you say." Jessy teased, adding, "Sure we can go out now Zac, I'm sorry I just got excited. Did I tell you that Hanson is interested in a song I wrote?" Jessy teased. "Yeah babe, you told me." Zac teased back. "Oh, just checking." Jessy said giggling as Zac made his way to her. "Babe I'm going to go up and change, you want to come meet the rest of the family?" Zac asked. "Uhh. Me, meet. I, I..." Jessy answered starting to breathe harder. "Don't think about it Jessy, forget I ever asked, okay? Someday but not now. Let's walk around the lake, okay? Come on Jessy." Zac asked leading her by the hand. Once they made it to the water's edge, Jessy relaxed as they slowly made their way around. "Babe wait for me here, I'll be just a minute." Zac asked caressing her face, smiling at her until she smiled back. "Yeah Zac, I'll wait here if you don't mind?" Jessy asked. "Babe, I didn't mean to push you. Next time push back." Zac suggested. "Got it." Jessy smiled lightly shoving Zac towards the house. They laughed together before Zac dashed towards the house, explaining to his mother why Jessy was staying outside. "Jessy, dear, I just had to meet the someone who makes my Zac smile so. I'm .." Diana was saying as Jessy interrupted, "You're Zac's Mother, Diana Frances Lawyer Hanson. I'm Jessy, I signed with your sons and husband's new recording studio today. I sing." Jessy said. "I know sweetie, I heard you. You have a lovely voice Jessy." Diana insisted. "Thanks Mrs H. You're as nice as I thought you must be." Jessy shared smiling. "Such a pretty smile, thanks for sharing it." Diana said kissing Jessy's cheek as Zac returned to her. "So you met my Mom?" he asked. "Yeah Zac, she's pretty cool." Jessy said as Taylor announced he was ready to go too. They headed to the hotel, to pick up Chele and for Jessy to change before making their way downtown Tulsa.
