"First floor bathroom." Natalie squealed as the van pulled into the garage. "Only if you run faster than me." Darcy screamed pushing past Adam, opening the slider and bolting for the house. "Taylor I called the bathroom and Darcy is just taking it." Natalie whined. "Guest room bath." Leslie squealed hopping over Ashley and racing towards the house. "Taylor did you see that. That should be my bathroom." Natalie grumbled. "There are five freaking bathrooms in the house and you're complaining why?" Taylor barked back. "Taylor Hanson." Natalie screamed fumbling her way from the van, heading into the house, mumbling all the way. "What is her problem?" Adam asked without thinking. "That's none of your business." Ashley warned. "Excuse me." Adam replied making his way to the house. "You two ever coming up for air?" Ashley asked with a chuckle. "Did you hear something?" Jessy whispered. "Hear something? Yeah you breathing." Zac whispered into her ear. "Oh. I like that." Jessy moaned. "You two are animals." Taylor complained. "Rrrrrr." Jessy growled. "Rrrrr to you too." Zac growled back. "I'm getting out of here." Ashley shared, adding, "I'm not into the Nature Channel." "And you're still watching why?" Jessy asked noticing Taylor's eyes in the rear view mirror. "Uh... I watch the Nature Channel often." Taylor replied. "He made a funny." Jessy giggled. "It was funny." Zac chuckled joining her laughter. "I didn't know you were funny?" Jessy asked sitting up. "Jessy." Zac moaned pulling her back down to him.. "I'm funny. Tell her I'm funny." Taylor argued. "He's funny." Zac whispered. "No he's not. He's... he's... well he's not funny." Jessy argued. "I am too." Taylor grumbled. "Not. If you are I haven't seen it." Jessy argued. "That's your problem." Taylor huffed. "Knock it off you two." Zac grumbled sitting up abruptly almost dumbing Jessy on the floor. "Gee thanks." Jessy grumbled as he caught her. "Babe I'm sorry. I was just..." Zac exclaimed. "You were just dumping me. I get it." Jessy grumbled rising quickly and making her way out of the van, racing towards the house. "Jessy you know better." Zac hollered in hot pursuit. "Maybe." Jessy squealed opening the door, quickly closing and locking it, adding, "Maybe not." "Jessy open up." Zac hollered. "Sure." Jessy said unbuttoning her top and flashing him. "Hey I bought that." Zac replied looking at the bra he'd just bought at the Mall. "Yep." Jessy said quickly buttoning her top as she noticed Taylor leaning to get a look. "Hey I want to see my bra." Zac complained. "So does your brother." Jessy said unlocking the door, nodding towards the van. "Oops forgot about him." Zac replied turning back to see if Taylor had seen, teasing when he realized he hadn't, "It was nice but it's mine not yours. Go have your wife flash you." "Right." Taylor moaned stretching out in the driver's seat, leaning his head back. 'That was nasty." Jessy whispered opening the door. "Ahhh bad me." Zac snickered. "Yeah bad you." Jessy whispered stepping into him, adding, "I like you bad." "Good. I'm bad to the bone." Zac whispered backing her into the wall, kissing her passionately while his hands explored her body. "God you're bad." Jessy moaned her body coming to life at his touch. "What's to eat? I'm hungry." Natalie whined moving in their direction. "Oh go away." Zac moaned. "She's devouring the bag of Cheddar Munchies I just bought for you and she still has that look in her eyes." Jessy gasped looking at Natalie. "Hey those were mine." Zac grumbled making his way to her, grabbing the bag, tipping it up side down, adding, "She ate them all." "They were good. Any more?" Natalie asked licking her fingers. "She ate the whole bag." Zac moaned. "I'll buy you another one." Jessy whispered wrapping an arm around him. "How could you eat the whole bag?" Zac asked staring at Natalie. "Well I never." Natalie grumped retreating. "Man is she touchy." Jessy sighed watching her walking down the hallway. "What is it babe?" Zac asked the questions in her eyes and the expression on her face. "Huh? Oh. God I'm embarassed." Jessy squealed covering her face with her hands. "What?" Zac whispered pulling her hands down. "Um. um. God Zac when did that happen? Look at her." Jessy whispered nodding at Natalie. "What?" Zac asked turning to where she was looking, adding, "My when did that happen?" "I hadn't noticed. Man she must have put on twenty or thirty pounds." Jessy whispered gazing at Natalie who's suit jacket was tucked into her pants in the back exposing a much larger rear. "Or more." Zac whispered as the two headed towards the kitchen. "Man look at her. Have you ever seen anything like that." Jessy gasped at the sight of Natalie eating ice cream and cookies. "Whoa. I have. That's the way Mom looked when she was pregnant with Zoe. Man she was always hungry." Zac shared gasing at Jessy when he realized what he'd said. "Nah. I asked her Zac. She said no." Jessy gasped just gazing at Natalie. "Who said no?" Taylor asked from behind them. "Oops." Jessy squealed turning to face Taylor. "Who? What?" Zac mumbled turning and putting an arm around Jessy, avoiding his brother's look. "Okay what's up with you two? This one looks like she swallowed a canary and you don't look at me?" Taylor asked. "Ack. Phooey. Phooey. Man those feathers. Ack. Ack." Jessy teased pretending to choke. "Spit 'em out babe. How many times have I told you that the canary is to look at not eat?" Zac chided patting her back. "Look not eat. Man I heard that somewhere." Jessy choked out. "You two are nuts." Taylor insisted shaking his head in disbelief. "Nuts? Animals?" Jessy teased, finishing, "Not a real good advertisement for Home Schooling." "Hey. That's not nice." Taylor complained. "Good one babe." Zac cheered. "Don't egg her on. God whatever you do, don't act this way at the pagent." Taylor replied. "I can't do this. How can I if I can't be me?" Jessy moaned quickly turning, heading to the kitchen grabbing a spoon and adding, "Let me have some." "Get your own." Natalie snapped as Jessy reached for the ice cream. "Duh. It is my own. This is my house. Tell her Zac." Jessy complained grabbing for the ice cream again. "Taylor." Natalie whined. "You've had enough. Let Jessy have some. Sorry Jessy. Didn't mean to bum you out there." Taylor shared taking the ice cream from Natalie and offered it to Jessy. "Aww. You're being nice." Jessy sighed taking the container, pouting, "Hey she ate the whole thing." "Good because you don't need it. You have a pagent next week Jessy remember?" Zac reminded. "What's the use? There's no way I can keep up the charade that I'm a poised, well-mannered girlie girl. I might as well give up now." Jessy moaned. "I'm sure you can. You've managed to keep up the charade that you and my little brother here have done the wild thing." Taylor insisted taking the spoon from his wife and moving to the dish washer. "I have, haven't I." Jessy mumbled looking at Zac for answers. "Yeah you have Babe. And you know I think you have done just a wonderful job of it." Zac replied with a smile and twinkle in his eye. "But you're prejudice. You'd say she did well even if she stunk at it." Natalie grumbled glaring at Taylor who also removed the cookie jar from her reach. "Jessy you have my folks and Grampa believing you and Zac have been sleeping together for years. I mean they believe right now you and he are getting it on like on a daily basis." Taylor shared putting the cookie jar back where it belongs. "Excuse me Jordan Taylor Hanson did you just say your Grampa. Zac I think he said his Grampa. Did you hear him say his Grampa?" Jessy asked glaring at Taylor. "Uh... Uh" Zac mumbled fearing the explosion. "I said no such thing. I said my folks and your Grampa." Taylor insisted opening the refrigerator, adding, "You think you got enough salad for everyone? I'd really like a nice, big salad. I'm hungry but don't want anything too heavy before bed." "Huh? Uh. yeah I should, Zac just stopped at the grocery store for me." Jessy answered turning to Zac. "Yeah Babe I did but it's still in the frig in the garage. Give me a hand Tay." Zac answered headng down the hall. "Sure right behind you." Taylor replied, sticking his head around the corner, hollering, "Anybody want a salad?" "Sounds great." Leslie said entering from the front room, adding, "What needs doing?" "Me too." Darcy called out from the living room. "Let's see." Jessy said giving it some thought as Darcy, Adam and Ashley joined them. "What needs doing?" Darcy asked. "Just asked her. She's thinking." Leslie shared. "Okay Adam I need that huge stanless steel bowl. You know the one. I think Zac puts it in the cupboarads in the garage. Darcy I'll need maybe ten small bowls to put fixings in. Then you girls can chop and dice. Ash be my receiver." Jessy ordered moving to the refrigerator, handing over everything they would need. "Here you go babe." Zac said returning with the salad. "I'll wash it." Taylor offered leaving Jessy speechless and confused. "Thanks." Jessy mumbled still trying to figure him out as she turned on the oven. "You making croutons. She makes the best croutons. Where's that spinner thingy you got for drying the lettuce?" Taylor asked. "I'll get it." Zac offered, stopping next to Jessy, lifting her chin lightly, whispering, "Your mouth is open." "I... I.. I don't get it. Who is that?" Jessy whispered back nodding at Taylor. "Not sure." Zac whispered back. "Hey baby go turn on some tunes." Darcy asked. "Sure. What do you guys want to listen to?" Adam asked making his way out of the room. "Play what's in it." Zac hollered. "Coming up." Adam hollered back. " I wonder where your heart is, 'Cause it sure don't feel like it's here. Sometimes I think you wish, That I would just disappear. Have I got it all wrong? Have you felt this way long? Are you already gone? Do you feel lonely when you're here by my side? Does the sound of freedom Echo in your mind? Do you wish you were by yourself? Or that I was someone else? Anyone else? Where would you be, If you weren't here with me? Where would you go If you were single and free? Who would you love? Would it be me? Where would you be?' echoed through the house as everyone stopped to listen. "Oh my god that's you. I'm right aren't I? It's you." Darcy squealed jumping up and down pointing at Jessy. "Dang she's good. You said she was but this is good." Ashley exclaimed. "Sssh I want to hear it." Leslie said, shushing him. "Oh my God." Darcy squealed grabbing Jessy's hands. "Yeah isn't it a great song. I still can't believe they got it for me." Jessy squealed back jumping up and down with her. "Ssssh." Lesslie said turning to them, exclaiming, "Look at them." Adam whispered nudging Zac. "Like our fans." Zac whispered back. "I heard that." Jessy said, then screamed "Hanson Rocks" "Man you'd think she liked you or something." Adam teased. "Or something." Zac replied smiling at Jessy. "Or something is right." Jessy sighed making her way to him. "Hey babe." Zac said as she wrapped her arms around his waist and cuddled against him. "Hey." Jessy whispered. "Need something?" Zac asked. "Oh yeah." Jessy moaned, adding, "But I can't have it quite yet so I'll settle for a kiss." "My pleasure." Zac whispered kissing her deeply. "Really like the song Jessy. You did a great job on it." Adam shared. "Thanks Adam. The guys and Daddy deserve the credit though. They found the song and Daddy arranged for the orchestra backup." Jessy replied. "Good croutons are done. There's the buzzer Jessy." Taylor said when the timer went off. "Guess I better go before he comes after me." Jessy teased making her way to the oven. "Not much of your special dressing left Babe." Zac shared standing at the refrigerator door open. "Well then I get it first." Taylor declared. "I don't think so." Jessy replied putting her hands on her hips and glaring at him. "Since you made it, maybe second then." Taylor exclaimed. "I don't think so." Zac replied, adding, "Right babe." "He does live with me." Jessy said still glaring at Taylor. "Gees Darcy is your bestest friend. I know and Adam lives with Darcy. Can you make more Jessy?" Taylor whined. "I don't know. Can I?" Jessy teased. "Yes you know how Jessy, so will you?" Taylor teased back. "I guess. Let's see. Glass bowl, whisk, olive oil, wine vinegar please." Jessy said waiting for everyone to pitch in. "Must be special stuff if everyone wants some?" Leslie asked. "It's delicious and it's good for you." Taylor shared. "Must be if Zac likes something that's good for him." Leslie teased. "Here you taste and let me know." Jessy said finishing the dressing. "Whoa this is good." Leslie moaned. "Told you didn't I. Jessy is a great cook. Hey if you don't win this pagent you can always get a job as a chef in some fancy restaurant. I'd come for your cooking." Taylor shared grabbing a plate and making his way down the line fixing his salad. "You act like this pagent thingy is a career or something." Jessy replied getting in line. "Well you go from here to Oklahoma City to Atlantic City then you spend a year traveling the US. Sounds like a career to me." Taylor explained finishing his salad and heading to the dining room. "Move Jessy." Zac said as the line moved foward and she didn't. "Jessy what's wrong?" Adam asked turning around to see the blank look on her face. "Babe?" Zac asked leaning over her shoulder to see her expression. "Huh." Jessy mumbled realizing she'd zoned out, "You okay babe?" Zac asked again. " I hadn't thought about it that way. You know a career. Nah. Who would do this on purpose? I don't want to that's for sure. I just feel so pressured." Jessy moaned moving foward and fixing her salad. "What? Who isn't dreaming of being Miss America?" Natalie grumbled. "Uh me." Jessy replied raising her hand. "Yeah you. Just you. And who do you think gets the chance to be Miss America? You. Miss I sure don't want to." Natalie argued getting extremely emotional. "What is your problem. Jessy doesn't want to. What's so wrong with that?" Adam argued back. "Yeah she doesn't want to so back off." Darcy argued. "I will not. She should show more gratitude for being allowed the opportunity to try for such a title." Natalie replied turning to glare at Jessy. "What? I told you I don't want to do this and I should be grateful to have to." Jessy argued. 'You little brat. How can you say such a thing?" Natalie screamed. "I'm a brat. Taylor get your spoiled wife out of here. She's starting to stink." Jessy screamed back. "Babe it'll be okay." Zac whispered reaching around her taking her plate, putting it on the counter before wrapping her in his arms. "She called me a brat. I'm not a brat." Jessy insisted. "Everybody knows that babe. Don't listen to her." Zac whispered into her ear. "Natalie what is your problem. Jessy is no brat. She'd have to be self induldged like you to be a brat." Darcy insisted stepping from the line, moving in her direction. "Grab her quick." Jessy squealed. "Come on baby. Like Zac said don't listen to her." Adam said dropping his plate on the counter, grabbing Darcy, pulling her back. "No she has no right to attack Jessy that way. Jessy is not a brat." Darcy grumbled fighting to get free. "Baby calm down." Adam pleaded. "Natalie apologize." Taylor commanded from the doorway. "For what? I didn't do anything." Natalie argued. "I doubt that." Taylor moaned shaking his head no. "I said I didn't do anything so I didn't." Natalie screamed. "Is that so? Ash what happened?" Taylor asked. "Well it's about what you said. It floored Jessy and when she said she didn't want a pagent career... well your wife went ballistic on her." Ash answered. "So you didn't do anything? Natalie apologize. It's not Jessy's fault she's doing what you'd love to do. Apologize." Taylor insisted. "This is all your fault." Natalie screamed rushing from the room. "She's right this is your fault. You and your brothers." Jessy pouted. "Me? What did I do?" Zac grumbled, addnig, "Leave me out of this." "It is your fault." Leslie agreed heading after Natalie. "Dude you might as well beg for forgiveness now." Adam teased. "Babe I'm sorry." Zac whispered hugging her tighter and kissing her cheek. "You don't even know what you did. How can you be sorry?" Jessy teased. "Oh but I'm so sorry." Zac whispered into her ear then nibbled on it before finishing, "I'm just a bad boy." "Oh how I love you." Jessy squealed turning in his arms and hugging him tight. "I love you too babe." Zac replied kissing her sweetly. "Why couldn't you tell me you wanted me to do this pagent stuff?" Jessy asked. "What?" Zac exclaimed looking at Adam who then looked at Darcy. "Well you should have told her." Darcy offered in her defense. "I didn't tell you because I didn't want to pressure you into doing something you didn't want to." Zac explained. "Too late. The team beat you to it." Jessy replied leaning back and rolling her arms. "Okay then I didn't want to add to it babe. I know you're having a hard time with all this. I guess I just felt if you knew how I felt, you'd feel pressured to win." Zac offered. "I did when she told me. I thought oh my God what if I lose. Will he be disappointed in me?" Jessy shared, lifting a hand and caressing his face, adding, "Then I realized it was you I was talking about Zac. I know as long as I give it my best shot, that's all that matters to you." "That's all anyone can ask Jessy. You sure you're okay about this?" Zac asked kissing the hand that was caressing his face. "Yeah it's okay." Jessy sighed, leaning in and kissing him lightly before adding, "Earlier when everybody got in line and helped me practice, I figured it can't be that bad. I mean if you guys can humiliate yourselves that way, why can't I?" "Humiliate ourselves! What are you talking about?" Adam teased doing his pagent walk. "Yeah babe. We're hot." Zac teased falling in behind Adam. "You're something all right." Jessy giggled. "You sure we love them?" Darcy teased. "You wound me baby." Adam pouted. "Adam get real. You walk like a gay guy." Darcy suggested. "You know I did wonder a little." Zac added as everyone began laughing. "I gues I better go check the real brat." Taylor mumbled as the laughter died down. "Don't bother she's being impossible." Leslie shared returning to the group. "Oh give it a minute or two and she'll be back. The food is in here." Zac suggested. "Zachary." Jessy squealed adding when she noticed Taylor snickering, "True but it's still rude." "Yeah it is." Zac added turning to Taylor, adding, "Sorry bro. Shouldn't have said it." "It's okay. Jessy's right it is true." Taylor replied, adding, "She's not doing to well with all this." "I don't understand why she's taking everything I do so personally." Jessy questioned, adding, "I thought we got past all this animosity towards me." "It's not you Jessy hones." Taylor insisted noticing the sad look on Jessy's face. "It sure feels like it." Jessy pouted. "She's just disappointed with the way things turned out." Taylor shared. "She's disappointed? Why? I mean all I ever heard in the beginning was like 'I'm Taylor Hanson's wife' over and over. Duh... like I was here the day you married her. She bragged it all the time. Like you were some sort of a Trophy. God how I hated that." Jessy grumbled. "Why'd you hate it? I know it was just she said it over and over." Taylor replied. "Nah. Mostly I was angry because she talked of you like a conquest or something. Like she was somebody special now because she married you. She was Natalie Bryant before she married you and she's still Natalie Bryant, only she's married." Jessy shared. "I am Mrs. Taylor Hanson and don't you forget it." Natalie screamed from the doorway. "So.That's just a name and it doesn't make you anything more than what you were before marriage." Jessy argued. "It makes me envied by all Hanson fans." Natalie argued back. "Not. I'm a Hanson fan and I don't envy you. Me envy you? You got that backwards. You envy me." Jessy insisted. "Why would I?" Natalie asked snottily. "Well let's start with my running for Miss Oklahoma next week. Then there's my engagement to Zac, everything you wanted but wouldn't wait for. Had to get married." Jessy teased back. "We did not have to get married. We love each other so we got married. Tell her Taylor." Natalie screamed. "Sure. Whatever. What she said" Taylor mumbled unconvincingly. "How dare you." Natalie screamed marching up to Taylor, glaring at him. "Don't push it Natalie. I'm not in the mood." Taylor warned. "You're never in the mood anymore." Natalie accused. "That's asking alot." Taylor grumbled. "Why did you marry me?" Natalie screamed. "You know why. You told the folks you were pregnant. Handed them a positive pregnancy stick, calling them Grandmother and Grandfather." Taylor replied without thinking. "She what?" Zac gasped dropping his plate. "How dare you." Natalie screamed racing from the house. "I can't believe I said that." Taylor gasped. "Is it true Taylor? Is she pregnant? I asked her and she told me no." Jessy asked bending to clean up Zac's broken plate. "I'm sorry babe. I'll do it." Zac whispered bending next to her. "I think you need to talk to your brother hun." Jessy whispered kissing his cheek. "Yeah you're right. I better follow him." Zac said watching Taylor take out after his wife.
