"Right this way. We've been expecting you." Mr. Davis greeted as Mackenzie led the group inside. "You were?" Jessy asked as she finally cleared the doorway. "Yes sir. Walker called us to ask that we take care of the family this morning. He said something about the 'Northside Party" last night but I'm not sure. Did they host the party?" Mr Davis asked escorting the chidren to their table. "They sure did. It was just so great of them. It started as a misunderstanding but next thing I know Daddy had Grampa opening the new warehouse, Mom out rounding up food and drinks, and the boys setting up the sound system and lights. I mean within an hour of the misunderstanding, there was a party. A big party." Jessy explained. "Big. Did you see the paper? The paper said almost 500 attended the celebration. Do you know there was only two incidents last night compared to over 200 last year at this time?" Mr Davis asked. "What? Newpaper?" Jessy asked totally unaware. "Here you sit and I'll bring you the papers. Children hot chocolate this morning?" Mr Davis suggested to a round of squeals. "Great party last night. Sure am glad Dad arranged for breakfast, we are dragging." Adam said announcing their arrival. "Adam, Darcy. Daddy called?" Jessy squealed. "Yeah woke us up and told us to get down here or he'd come get us." Darcy shared with a yawn. "Thanks again for helping out last night. You two are just awesome." Jessy shared rising and hugging each one. "It was nothing kiddo." Adam replied taking a seat across from her, turning to the children saying his hellos. "Nothing. Did you say nothing? I happen to know there were way over 50 bags of ice in the trunk. Oh yeah you wouldn't know because you ditched me." Darcy teased. "Well thank you. You are just the bestest friend I've ever had." Jessy professed, hugging her again before seriously adding, "You know I am so glad you didn't stick with the 'I'll tolerate her for Adam's sake' attitude and gave me a chance." "You. Would have been the stupidest thing I'd ever done. I would never have found my best friend." Darcy squealed. "Whoa best friend. What about Marta? Does she know?" Adam asked hearing just the end of their conversation. "Marta and I hardly have anything in common anymore. I can't remember the last time we even spoke much less did something together. Especially without getting down each other's throats." Darcy shared, adding, "Adam hadn't you noticed?" "I just figured it was because of me and Zac baby. I mean we're always together and the Marta, Zac fix didn't take." Adam replied, turning to Jessy adding, "The Dude did not like that chick. Whoa. I thought he would never speak to me again. He goes like, "You keep here away from me. I think she's rabid or something." "What? Rabid?" Jessy choked out. "You know our boy. Besides you've probably never met Marta. Has she ever met her baby?" Adam asked. "No she hasn't. Adam I was hardly seeing Marta before Zac introduced us to Jessy. She was getting way to wierd for me." Darcy answered as the family came through the door. "Morning babe." Zac said kissing her cheek and taking the seat next to her. "Perfect timing." Mr Davis exclaimed coming from the back room with a tray full of sticky buns and pots of hot chocolate. "Mmmm me please." Zoe squealed as the food neared. "Let me help." Jessy said rising and handing out sticky buns. "Me too I guess." Zac said rising reluctantly and passing out cups of hot chocolate. "I forgot your papers." Mr Davis gasped as Jessy took the last sticky bun from the tray. "Oh I forgot too. Daddy did you look at the papers this morning? Mr Davis said there is an article about the party." Jessy replied. "They call it the 'Northside Party' and tell how it saved so much mischief last night." Mr Davis shared making his way behind the counter and returnng with the papers. "Look mother." Walker said moving a paper into her view. "How nice dear. I'm glad you decided we should do it." Diana replied. "See sweetie." Walker said then sharing the paper with Jessy. "Oops mouthfull." Jessy said caught off guard, swallowing before adding, "This is great Daddy. About as great as you and Mom for throwing the party. Did you see the difference in reported trouble between last night and last year's homecoming?" "That was the idea sweetie." Walker said taking his seat at the head of the table. 'Zac.." Jessy got out before being interrupted. "Yeah babe, you're welcome." Zac said loudly. "No dear I wasn't going to thank you." Jessy replied with a chuckle, shaking her head no before continuing, "Besides I thanked you last night remember?" "Oh yeah I remember that." Zac sighed closing his eyes as a contented smile covered his face. "You sure didn't thank me that way." Isaac teased. "Zac, I wanted to know why you called Darcy's friend Marta rabid?" Jessy asked turning red. "You what? Rabid?" Diana squealed. "Uh yes ma'am. Mom you remember Marta, always a little strange. Lately she's gone totally bizarre." Zac replied. "Bizarre?" Diana asked. "You tell her Darcy. Darcy doesn't even hang with her and they were best friends since kindergarten. Tell her Darc." Zac shared. "It's true Mom. Totally Gothic and she hangs with this group...." Darcy shared. "Witches. I tell you they are witches." Zac interrupted. "What? There is no such thing as witches." Taylor insisted. "I'd say he knows three of them personally.'"Jessy whispered into Zac's ear before giggling. "You're bad." Zac laughed heartily catching everyones attention. "I did not. Don't look at me." Jessy pouted. "What? What did she say?" Isaac whispered leaning around Jessy. "She said he knows three witches personally." Zac whispered back. "Ha ha ha. Good one kiddo.' Isaac said patting Jessy on the back then laughing along with his brother, choking out "You meant intimately though ." "Isaac. Sssshh." Jessy gasped before laughing uncontrollably while staring at Taylor. "What?" Taylor grumbled. "Like I said you are bad." Zac chuckled hugging Jessy. "Way to drive the point home." Isaac chuckled pointing at Taylor. "What? What are they getting at?" Natalie asked. "I don't know. Don't ask me?" Taylor grumbled. "Jessy what is it?" Natalie asked. "What?" Jessy squealed, smacking Isaac's left leg with her right hand while jabbing Zac with her left elbow before continuing, "Uh it's just..." "I was just joking about her knowing him intimately. You know how Taylor refused to believe it when Zac finnaly introduced Jessy to us." Isaac shared. 'Oh Taylor just hadn't met me yet, that's all." Natalie insisted. "Yeah that's it." Isaac echoed. "Bless you." Jessy whispered rubbing the spot she had smacked, adding, "Sorry about that." "Hey you jabbed me too." Zac whispered leaning behind her pretending to look across the room. "You deserved it and he didn't." Jessy whispered turning like Zac., adding, "What are we looking at?" "A way out of course." Zac whispered before kissing her cheek. "Hope it worked." Jessy whispered before turning back around, gasping, "Hey who ate my sticky bun?" "Me no know." Zoe squealed trying hard to hide the sticky bun. "Well how about you? Do you know?" Jessy asked as Isaac placed his hand over the sticky bun. "Who? Me? Why would I take your sticky bun? I have one." Isaac answered trying hard not to laugh. "Sticky bun wehre are you?" Jessy called out trying not to laugh. "Here babe you can have some of mine." Zac offered. "No that's okay. Way too much sugar for me anyway." Jessy replied cuddling her head on his shoulder then kissing his cheek. "I'm so glad." Zac shared with such relief. "Now if that isn't true love, offering to share his sticky bun." Diana teased. "I do love you." Zac said turning his head, placing his lips to hers. "I love you too." Jessy echoed before adding, "You should love me even more because I didn't take you up on the offer." "Oh I do, I do." Zac replied with a mouthfull of sticky bun. "So do you think you won the vote?" Darcy asked returning from the kitchen placing a bowll of berries in front of Jessy. "Mother found the yogurt." Mr Davis called out not far behind. "Thanks I really was hungry." Jessy whispered. "Yeah I thought you were but you're just too good a big sister to say anything about it." Darcy whispered back. "Thanks Darcy. I love you for this." Zac said wrapping an arm around her pulling her to his lap then hugging her. "I love you for this too." Jessy squealed joining the hug. "When do you find out about the vote dear?" Diana asked. "Oh Mom there is no way I'm going to win. I'm only a sophomore. There has never been a Miss UofT who wasn't a senior except for once and she was a junior." Jessy replied. "Until now." Walker declared. "Please don't tell me you heard something?" Jessy pleaded. "No dear but I do have that Fatherly feeling." Walker answered winking at her. "Oh Daddy." Jessy giggled, then noticing Taylor across from her, Isaac to her right and Zac to her left, seriously adding, "What am I laughing at? He knew about you guys. Good call Daddy." "One of my better if I say so myself. You be ready tonight Miss University of Tulsa." Walker responded. "I sure hope not." Jessy moaned. "What? Are you crazy?" Natalie squealed, adding, "I'd love to be Miss Anything." "That would be Mrs Anything." Taylor teased. "Oh shut up." Natalie grumbled smacking him in the arm. "Well if I win you can take my place as Miss University of Tulsa and I'll be Mrs Hanson." Jessy sighed wrapping her arms around Zac, laying her head on his shoulder. "Oh. That's right if you win we can't get married until after the Miss Oklahoma pagent is over. Sorry babe but I hope you lose." Zac shared. "Oh thank you, thank you." Jessy squealed wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing his cheek over and over. "He just wished you'd lose!" Natalie squeled. "Duh! He wants her to lose so they can get married when football season is over." Darcy shared loudly rolling her eyes at Natalie. "You've been so good about this cheereleading stuff Zac. I'm so sorry." Jessy whimpered. "You can't help they wanted you. Don't cry babe. We'll be married soon." Zac replied wrapping an arm around her, trying to comfort her. "I sure hope so." Jessy sighed as breakfast was finally served.
