"Ladies and Gentlemen welcome back to the Nationals. We are all on pins and needles here awaiting Sir William. He has taken the lead after a flawless dressage performance yesterday. If you remember three years back when he first came on the scene Sir William was in third place at this point but balked at the water jump, ultimately depositing his rider into the water. We all thought that was the last we would see of Sir William but he has a new rider and the two of them performed flawlessly yesterday. That will let them ride last today, watching their competition perform first. Will it be a handicap or will it be the edge the two will need to overcome Sir William's distates of the water jump." the announcer said over the squeals of fans as the Hanson family was escorted to their seats. "Do you see her?" Zac asked straining to see over the fans who had scaled a fence to get a look at them. "She's probably with Sir William son, they ride last." Walker shared getting his family seated. "Pssst. Pssst." Jessy said from underneath the bleachers, finally climbing to reach Zac's leg. "What?" Zac squealed looking down, catching sight of her, adding, "Hey babe." "Hey." Jessy said as she climbed her way up to him. "Oh my." Diana squealed as Zac helped her up. "Well I see she isn't with Sir William." Walker exclaimed with a chuckle. "Nope she's with her true love Sir Zac." Jessy teased wrapping her arms around Zac. "Nervous sweetie?" Diana asked. "I was in the stable. Man are some of them nervous nellies. They were driving me crazy so I decided to sit with you guys." Jessy answered still clinging to Zac. "Right where you belong." Grampa Lawyer said patting the seat next to him. "Come on Zac I want to sit by Grampa." Jessy said dragging him along. "Where else." Zac teased. "This is so exciting." Grampa said as a hush came over the arena and the first rider began. "How's he doing?" Zac whispered. "His pace is a little slow. Clean run though." Jessy answered laying her head on his shoulder. "You okay babe?" Zac whispered. "Here I am." Jessy whispered wrapping herself around his arm then kissing his shoulder as she laid her head back down. "Here comes the next rider." Grampa said before noticing Jessy clinging to Zac, mouthing, "She okay." "Here yeah." Zac said kissing the top of her head. Jessy cuddled as rider after rider competed, "Don't you think you should head back babe?" Zac asked with only five riders left. "I guess." Jessy moaned. "Sweetie why don't you go this way this time." Walker said pointing at the stairs. "Wow when did they put those there." Jessy teased, adding, "I wasn't looking forward to getting down. I climb up so much easier than down." "I'll say. Did Zac ever tell you about her climbing the big oak in their backyard." Taylor shared. "Jordan Taylor Hanson." Jessy snapped. "Well it wasn't much of a story anyway." Taylor grumbled. "All the more reason to keep it to yourself." Jessy said glaring at Zac. "I didn't tell him babe. You told his wife." Zac replied nodding at Natalie. "I didn't tell him. Honest Jessy." Natalie swore then glared at Taylor. "I heard you screaming and so I got there in time to see him rescue you." Taylor shared. "I said keep it to yourself." Jessy squealed as everyone chuckled. "If I may escort you to the stables." Grampa Lawyer asked extending his arm to her. "Really Grampa? I'd love it. Thanks." Jessy squealed saying her goodbyes then taking his arm. "You know I think there are horses around here." Grampa Lawyer teased, sniffing the air as they entered the stables. "Really Grampa. What makes you say that?" Jessy teased. "I see a horse. See right there." Grampa teased back delivering her to Sir William's stall. "Thanks for keeping me company Grampa." Jessy said kissing his cheek. "You going to be okay sweetie?" Grampa asked. "Yeah I think I'll be just fine. You going back to watch us?" Jessy answered. "Wouldn't miss it. I was so proud of you the other night. When you asked that the fans and reporters donate their time since their fascination with you has stopped you from doing so. You blew me away sweetie but this.. this is just all so exciting." Grampa Lawyer exclaimed. "There you are. I was about to come get you. Did you get your hand held?" someone approaching the two snapped. "Well hello to you too. Grampa this rude young man is Mark. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Waters, the owners of the stable." Jessy said turning to glare at him. "Oh Bud and Julie's boy. Does your mother know you talk to her this way?" Grampa Lawyer asked. "No sir. I'm sorry Mr Lawyer. There's no excuse for it. Sorry Jessy." Mark apologized then extended his hand. "Much better. It's been quite awhile since I've seen you." Grampa Lawyer said. "What just happened? Who are you and what did you do with Mark? You know Mark that has been bullying me around for the past month. You know, teasing and fighting with me all the time Mark." Jessy gasped. "You what?" Grampa Lawyer asked turning Jessy towards him, adding, "Sweetie is this true?" "Grampa Mark has been a royal pain. That's why I didn't stay back here, because he was here." Jessy confessed. "I don't believe this. This is so unlike you Mark." Grampa Lawyer asked hugging Jessy. "But it's true my Grampa. He has been so mean to me." Jessy insisted. "I can see it's true by the look on his face sweetie. I believe you. I just don't understand why. Why anyone would treat you that way?" Grampa Lawyer replied hugging her again. "Oh. I see. I guess I better get dressed." Jessy said kissing his cheek and heading to the locker room wondering how Grampa knew the Walters and why she didn't know about it. "I guess I should be grateful that you didn't snitch to him sooner." Mark complained as she returned. "I would have had I know he knew you. And you better be nice or I'll go get my Grampa again." Jessy replied sticking her tongue out at him. "Does he know you do that?" Mark asked pointing at her tongue. "No and he won't believe you if you decide to tell him. He loves me and to him I can do no wrong. If you don't believe me, ask Zac. No ask Taylor." Jessy replied, laughing then adding, "Boy can Taylor tell you." "Sounds like I need to talk to Taylor." Mark chuckled along with her. "You won't believe the way the two of us started. Man he was worse than you." Jessy said shaking her head, heading to Sir William's stall. "Must have been really bad not just rude." Mark suggested. "He was terrible. I caught him playing with my bra and panties when I was staying at Grampa's. Ewwww." Jessy shared trembling all over. "Well he's still alive so I take it they weren't on you." Mark teased. "Good one Mark. Man you have a sense of humor after all." Jessy choked out as she started grooming Sir William. "You spoil him." Mark said following her in. "He deserves to be spoiled. Don't you big boy?" Jessy said hugging Sir William. "Well it's time to get ready." Mark said saddling Sir William. "Ready to fly big boy?" Jessy asked putting on his bridle then leading him towards the arena. "So you nervous?" Mark asked nudging her. "Not me. How about you Sir William, are you nervous?" Jessy replied petting Sir William again then telling him about the rider in the arena and what he was doing wrong. "One more to go. Want to mount?" Mark asked. "I guess." Jessy answered, stepping into Mark's cupped hands, mounting Sir William then walking off to the warmup area. Jessy watched the rider in the arena as he cleared one jump after another without faulting. "Putting the pressure on huh Sir William? We can do better though can't we boy?" Jessy whispered bending down and hugging his neck. "It's time Jessy." Mark called out. "Ladies and Gentlemen what we've all been waiting for, the last competitor of the day. Will there be a repeat at the water jump? That aside, a perfect ride is needed to win this event after the performance of David O'Connor on Custom Made. They have entered the staging area. Here they come. They are over the first jump and rounding the corner taking the second jump flawlessly. They are riding at faster rate at this point, almost a whole second faster. Here comes the triple jump. Wonderful. Just flawless. Sir William seems to be in his element again today. They are maintaining their pace and have cleared all jumps cleanly. Here they come, this is the last turn, heading into the final leg of the run including the dreaded water jump. They have cleared the first and the second jump. Here they go, they're going for it. They've cleared it. They've cleared it. No hesitation, no balking this time Sir William has flown over the water and cleared it." the announcer reported as the arena stood on their feet cheering. "Good boy. Just a few more and we're done big boy." Jessy praised bringing him around for the last few jumps. "She's done it. They've done it. A perfect ride." the announcer shared as the audience went wild. "Just made a lot of money for you there son." Walker said patting Zac on the back, adding, "Aren't you glad you bought her that horse?" "I bought her the horse for that smile on her face Dad." Zac said watching Jessy and Sir William taking a victory lap around the arena. "It's on the board and official. Sir William wins." the announcer shared as their time was posted on the board. "Thanks for buying Sir William." Jessy squealed stopping in front of the family, removing her riding helmet and waving to get Zac's attention. "She said thanks for buying Sir William." a group in front of the family repeated turning to find the Hanson family, adding, "Your the Hansons." "You are right. Thanks for relaying the message we couldn't quite hear what she said." Diana replied, adding, "So you're a fan of our boys?" "Uh huh." a little girl barely got out as she stared at Isaac, Taylor and Zac. "You're welcome babe." Zac hollered over the crowd, adding as they quieted, "I love you." "I love you too." Jessy replied smiling from ear to ear as the people between them stared at Zac then Jessy. "I think we just blew it babe." Zac said nodding at the people around them. "So what. I don't care who knows that I love you Zac Hanson." Jessy declared smiling even bigger. "I love you too Jessy. I want the whole world to know." Zac shared as the crowd quieted to hear what Jessy had said. "I think they all know now." Jessy teased as everyone turned his way. "Open mouth, insert foot." Zac teased back. "Sweetie. Sweetie. I think they'd like you to finish your lap and return to the press over there." Walker said trying to get Jessy's attention. "Oops. Forgot where I was." Jessy squealed looking at Walker pointing at the other side of the arena. "Zac I'm hungry. Can we go get something to eat when I'm done over there?" Jessy asked. "Sure sweetie." Walker answered. "Thanks Zac." Jessy squealed rolling her eyes at Walker. "I'm hungry too Dad." Zac added. "I am too Walker. All this excitement is hard work." Diana shared. "You better go get done sweetie, the masses are getting hungry." Walker teased sending Jessy on her way around the arena. "Here she comes. Jessy over here. Is it true that the Hansons are your benefactors and purchased Sir William for you to ride?" one reporter asked. "Jessy how does it feel to prove the critics wrong as far as Sir Wiliam is concerned." another asked. "Jessy will you be on the Olympic team?" another asked. "Walker I think she needs you." Diana said noticing Jessy looking their way with such desperation in her eyes. "What? Oh I see. Dad if you can get the family out safely, I'll go help Jessy." Walker said turning to his father-in-law. "What?" Zac asked turning to see the desperation on Jessy's face. "Go to her son. Don't worry about the family." Grampa Lawyer said rounding the family up, heading them out to the van. "If you'll give her a little space, I'm sure she'll answer you questions." Walker declared making his way to Jessy. "Oh Daddy." Jessy squealed, sliding off Sir William into his arms. "I'll take him Jessy." Mark suggested reaching for Sir William's reins. "Thanks Mark." Jessy mumbled as Walker pulled the reins from her hand, turning the horse over to Mark. "I'll see he gets home safe." Mark said as he led Sir William off. "Now for all your questions." Walker said placing an arm around Jessy. "You're Walker Hanson. So it must be true that you are her benefactor. That you purchased Sir William?" a reporter asked. "Benefactor? I don't think so. Jessy is family. She is marrying my son Zac soon but she's my little girl already." Walker answered putting a smile on her face. "Will she join the olympic team?" a reporter asked. "I don't know the answer to that one. We really hadn't talked about it. Sweetie?" Walker answered looking down at her. "Daddy I don't have the time. I just don't." Jessy answered shaking her head no. "If she isn't joining the team, is Sir William for sale then?" someone asked. "You'd have to ask Zac. Zac bought Sir William." Jessy answered. "Sweetie he bought Sir William for you though." Walker argued. "No Daddy, he bought Sir William because of me not for me." Jessy whispered. "We don't have an answer for you on that. If you'll give me your number, I'll get you an answer." Walker replied. "Thanks for coming Daddy." Jessy whispered hugging him tight as two or three peopke handed him a business card. "If there aren't any more questions, she's hungry, the family is also hungry and waiting for us to join them." Walker said escorting Jessy from the crowd and to the van.
