Hand In Hand

Part Three

It was non-stop chatter all the way, when Jessy stopped to breathe, Chele filled in and vice versa. "God I'm dead. I was suppose to give you these first thing. From Momma, from Sam, one from Josh and this is from the gang. They voted last night and I'm suppose to talk you into leaving a few days early and come home with me. I didn't tell them about what's his name and there's no way that will happen. I may book early though and fly to Texas, I haven't decided yet and Venita is in Arkansas and I'm suppose to go their and I got a scholarship to Cheerleading Camp at UCLA but Momma won't let me go alone to the West Coast and I can't find anyone in the MidWest going and you know her." Jessy complained taking a deep breath. "I was shocked Daddy let me come. I've got flags but I think I'm dropping it. I haven't decided yet. It's just going to be such a busy year. I've got college applications and all, I don't know what I'll do." Chele paused. "Oh I didn't tell you I got an acceptance letter from Okie U. I told them I'd make time to visit campus while I'm here. One of the reasons Momma let me come. I'd die for a full scholarship to Harvard or Yale but I don't know if I'd survive the East Coast, such snobs." Jessy said, looking out the window, "Hey we're there already, there's their driveway." Jessy announced. "How do you know that?" Zac asked turning around. "Ummm I'm psychic. Didn't Sis tell you. Let's see drive hangs a left through the woods curves back to the right, a wrought iron fence, oh a big gate, light brick columns." Jessy explained eyes closed as she rubbed her temples until she shook her head like breaking a trance. "Are you for real? How'd you know that?" Isaac asked. "Jessy I didn't tell you where they live or describe it, how'd you know and don't give me that psychic crap." Chele asked as the van made it to the second gate. "Whoa, Sis you said a small party. What's a large party, the State of Maryland. On no sleep, this ought to prove embarassing!" Jessy grumbled as the van stopped and she rose and slid open the side door and was out before Zac could even get out of his seatbelt. Jessy was making her to a group of kids turning summersaults and cartwheels in the grass including the Hanson girls. "Hey that looks fun. I'm Jessy, mind if I join? I sort of do this a lot lately. Something like this." Jessy said diving into a summersault doing cartwheels, flips, twists, round offs across the yard and then back to the squeals. "Wow Jessy! You're great." Jessie said and the other girls joined in. "Man she's good. I thought she was stretching it, the scholarship to what a cheerleading camp. So there is such a thing huh?" Zac said. "Zac one thing Sis isn't is a showoff or a liar. Yeah she's changed, but she didn't do that to showoff, look. No look at her, she didn't do it for any other reason than that." Chele said pointing at Jessy who now had the girls lined up, teaching them basic tumbling. "That's my sis not a showoff, my sis shares herself without being asked. If she has it, knows it,or whatever, my sis shares and gives. Look at her with Zoe. God that's cute." Chele said as Zoe toddled off squealing Mommy with Jessy a few steps behind. "Hey Mom Hanson we want to show you what we learned. Remember Zoe, tuck, drop, roll." Jessy said executing a summersault then helping Zoe. "Ta Da. Way to go gurl!" Jessy cheered and Zoe high fived her and toddled to Diana. "Mom she's so good and she's got my name. Show her Jessy, do something and show her. Mom can I take lessons, it looks so cool. See her Mom, isn't she great." Jessie said as Jessy repeated her little routine across the yard and back. "You are good dear." Diana said. "Thanks. According to Momma I better be after all those years of lessons. It's come in handy, I'm head cheerleader. It won me a scholarship, I'm suppose to make it out to the university while I'm here." Jessy said. "Oh college scholarships already. Jessy dear how old are you?" Diana asked. "Me, I'm 22 days younger than Zac." Jessy answered. "And you've applied to college already?" Diana asked. "Oh yeah, I'm in the running for full scholarships to Harvard and one to Yale but I don't think I'll accept. Great schools, just in the wrong place." Jessy said. "Did I hear Harvard?" Walker asked. "Umm yeah. If you'll excuse me I see they have that mastered, I need to add something new." Jessy said making her way to the girls working on cartwheels. "I see you met Jessy. Isn't she amazing." Zac said gazing at her. "Yes son. Zac. Son. Zac you seem to be awfully interested in Jessy. But you don't even hear me. Walker isn't this cute. He reminds me of you." Diana said. "Uh huh. Has his Dad's good taste too. She's as lovely as you." Walker insisted wrapping his arms around her. "Dear I don't seem to remember looking quite like that." Diana shared. "Oh yeah. You were one hot number and still are." Walker said kissing her neck. Her giggling brought Zac's attention. "She sure is beautiful." Zac moaned. "She sure is son." Walker said kissing Diana again. "Dear he means Jessy." Diana giggled. "Oh yeah, her too." Walker chuckled as more party goers arrived. The girls kept Jessy busy teaching and being introduced to parents that she hardly notice that the party had doubled in size. Soon music was being played and Jessy began dancing and tumbling to sounds with such expression. "Mommy look she's on her toes too. Please I want to tumble and be like her." Jessie asked as Jessy spun on her toes. When she finished her dance and the applause began, Jessy turned red with embarassment. "Hey sis, you just keep getting better and better." Chele said walking her way. "Where did all these people come from?" Jessy asked as Jessie and Avie and a few of the other girls surrounded her begging her to go swimming with them. "Um sounds like fun. I don't know where my bags are though." Jessy said watching Chele and Tay walk off to a large group of people. "Zac. Zac. Hey. The girls asked me to swim with them, but I don't where my bags are, are they still in the van?" Jessy asked walking his way. "Nah Jessy. You, Chele and Heather are in the guest room for the weekend. Want me to show you?" Zac answered and offered. "If you don't mind Zac. What about your friends?" Jessy asked worriedly. "They'll be fine Jessy, here. Come on." Zac said offering his hand. Jessy looked at his hand, then their eyes met and they smiled before Jessy looked at his hand again slowly placing hers in his. As their hands touched, shivers raced through her entire body as she lightly gasped before their eyes met again, smiling even bigger as Zac walked them to the house. Zac gave her a short tour of the house ending at their room for the weekend. "Umm I put your bags in here." Zac explained opening a closet. "I think my suits are in that one right there." Jessy explained as they both reached for the case, bumping heads as they both reached for it. "Ouch" they said in unison. "Let me get it Jessy. Don't hit me again with that hard head of yours." Zac teased "My hard head. What you got in there bricks?" Jessy teased back rubbing her head, finishing. "Ouch. You gave me a bump. Are you okay?" Jessy explained and asked reaching for his head. "I don't find anything on yours." she finished. "Let me see. Oh Jessy I'm sorry. Does it hurt?" Zac asked. "Might feel better if you kissed it." Jessy insisted as Zac slowly took her in his arms drawing her closer as her heart beat so hard she feared he heard as her eyes grew large and she searched his. Zac was amazed at the look in her eyes, she seemed so, so fragile. He felt this overwhelming need to protect her from harm as his blood raced through his veins with such force he feared they'd burst. Zac suddenly remembered why he was holding her in his arms, to kiss the bump he'd placed on her head. His eyes focused on her head as he felt her arms wrap around him. He slowly lowered his lips to her head, her hair smelled so good he moaned as he nuzzled it inhaling and moaning again as he exhaled before his lips found the bump. "Your hair smells great." Zac shared as their eyes met again. "Thanks hun. Just Herbal Essence Zac." Jessy explained. "Wow it smells so good." Zac sniffed down her face, her neck, her chest as Jessy raised her tank exposing more of her belly and he bent sniffing. "Man Jessy your smell good all over." Zac mumbled kissing her belly. "I use their body wash too. You like flowers huh?" Jessy asked. "Your skin is so soft Jessy. You're just so beautiful." Zac mumbled kissing her again as Jessy moaned softly and Zac slowly sniffed his way back up her body kissing ever so softly on his way to her lips. "Jessy." Zac moaned as he pressed his lips to hers ever so soft at first and the both gasped, eyes opening and locked on each other as their breathing became heavier and Jessy lightly kissed him over and over their eyes still searching. Jessy unwrapped her arms from his waist, caressing his chest as she slowly wrapped them around his neck. "Zac." Jessy whispered as she trembled in his arms from the overwhelming desire she felt to kiss him. She tightened her grip around his neck, pulling herself to his lips and kissed him deeply. Zac's hands caressed the outline of her shape, caressing her butt before wrapping around her and pulling her body into his. As Jessy drew back from him, "Jessy" he moaned kissing her longer and harder, moaning her name over and over. "Oh Zac. I, what, Zac." Jessy moaned finally unwrapping her arms, placing her hands on his shoulders. "Zac hun what if your sisters come looking for me, they're waiting on me hun to swim with them. Zac will you come swimming too?" Jessy asked their eyes locked on each other. "I like you in my arms." Zac confessed holding her tighter. "I like it here to Zac." Jessy replied laying her head on his chest wrapping her arms around him hugging him so tight. "Zac it's been a long time since I've felt so safe as you make me feel." Jessy confessed as Zac kissed the bump on her head again. "I won't let anything happen to you Jessy. I swear." Zac promised as the girls knocked on her door, "Jessy you ready. Can we come in Jessy? It's Jessie and Avie." Jessie asked. "Zac." Jessy whispered panic in her voice. "They'll tell Mom and Dad, they can't find me in here." Zac whispered racing to the closet shutting the door. "Yeah girls, come on in. Hi. I haven't even found my suit yet and you two are already dressed. I think they're in this bag." Jessy said opening the case. "Oohhh this one is pretty and so little. It looks like my size." Jessie said. "Well that one's out." Jessy said. "No it's so pretty wear it. Please." the girls begged. "Oh why not." Jessy said pulling off her tank, unfastening her bra, slipping it off and replacing it with her bikini top before moving to the dresser mirror to look. "Wow it is pretty. You have to wear it. You'll pop all their eyes out wearing that." Jessie giggled. "So you know about popping eyes and curling toes huh? Wow and I just learned. That makes you more advanced than me. So tell me, you got a boyfriend?" Jessy asked. "Yeah, He'll be here for lunch." Jessie answered. "You're kidding me. Right?" Jessy asked in disbelif. "No Jessy. Why?" Jessie asked. "It's, wow. Your folks are liberal. I, man Jessie, last year is the first I could date and that was only school chaperoned. I mean I have a drivers license and I haven't gone on a real date. I've had crushes, wrote notes back and forth, but I still haven't had a boyfriend. You make me feel so out of it is all." Jessy explained a little overwhelmed by the thought. "Don't be sad Jessy. You're really pretty. I can't believe you don't have a million boy friends." Avie said hugging Jessy. "You're so sweet. But Avie I don't want a million boy friends. I get that kind of attention and I don't like. I don't want someone who likes me because of how I look. I want someone who likes me because I'm smart, because I have a good heart and I'm kind, and yeah I want him to think I'm pretty too but I don't want that to be the only thing. I don't think I'd like that. Sometimes it really hurts, to realize that's all they care about. Sometimes they do such stupid things, fighting each other, being total jerks and they don't even see that it hurts. It makes me feel like a thing not a person. You don't want to feel like a thing." Jessy said the pain in her voice. "Boys are so stupid." Jessie said. "Not all of them." Diana shared, adding, "Jessy I wasn't prying dear. Just making sure you found everything you needed." "Thanks Mom. I found everything, we just got talking is all." Jessy explained smiling. "I heard dear. Jessy we're really not that liberal. Jessie has a friend, not a boyfriend because like your Momma, there's time enough for all that stuff." Diana explained. "I didn't mean to be disrespectful. Just compared to Momma, you really rock Mom. I have to be fair though, I'm the only girl of five so I understand her being over protective. And having all brothers, it sort of helps keeping my expectations low on the male species. Boys are so gross at times and they can't help it, it's just a male thing." Jessy shared. "Ewww is right. We got older brothers and a younger one." Avie said. "I know me too, two older and two younger they stuck me right in the middle. I always tease my brothers that the folks tried, tried again and it got a little better, then hit it right with me and then things got worse, and my baby brother Sam, well he's just the pits." Jessy shared laughing. "Dear you are just precious. You I like." Diana shared hugging her. "I like you too Mom." Jessy said hugging her then grabbing both the girls squealing, "Little sisters really rock, I'm so glad I got you for a least a weekend. I knew I'd love having sisters. Mom can we have a slumber party?" Jessy asked. "Please Mommy that would be so much fun." Jessie squealed. "Oh please." Avie begged hugging her. "Sounds like fun. Can I come too?" Diana asked. "Way cool. You in a game of truth or double dare, I can't wait." Jessy exclaimed. "Oh that goes both ways young lady." Diana teased and Jessy turned red. "Oh you do like him too huh?" Diana asked as their eyes met. "Mom." Jessy whined. "Come on girls let Jessy dress. We have a slumber party to plan." Diana said leading Jessie and Avie out of the room. "Zac you got to get out of her and out there before your Mom does and don't get caught." Jessy shared pulling the door open, finding Zac in his swim trunks. "Yeah I heard. Do you think she knew?" Zac asked racing to the door. "I really don't know hun. Just Go." Jessy ordered as Zac snuck out the door. Jessy quickly dressed before moving to the window looking out at the group finally finding Zac back with his friends then noticing his mother and the girls on the deck just leaving the house. Jessy picked up Zac's clothes from the closet floor and putting them in her beach bag before heading back outside. At the top of the stairs she regretted wearing the suit as the first of the comments made its way to her, "Damn! Whoa Momma. She's on fire! Holy shit! 10 plus!" and even whistles and cat calls. Jessy held her head high and made her way down the steps to the important comments. "Isn't she pretty Mommy." Avie said. "Come on Jessy, we want to swim. We're all ready." Jessie said. "You look lovely dear. The girls are right you are very pretty." Walker said. "Thanks Dad. I needed that. He sure is a keeper Mom." Jessy declared. "Beauty and brains." Walker teased. "Walker Hanson you old sweet talker." Diana teased back. "Oh Daddy you're funny." Jessy said laughing. "What a captivating sound. You laugh with the innocence of a child dear." Walker said wrapping his arms around her hugging her tight, kissing her on the head. "Ouch" Jessy squealed. "Jessy I'm sorry. Sweetie what happened. Mother look at this." Walker said as Diana approached feeling her head. "What happened dear, that's recent." Diana asked. "Umm when Zac showed me to my room and that he put my bags in the closet, we both reached for it at the same time. He has a harder head than mine. He was like really embarassed. Ran out of my room after he felt it and realized I got hurt. I don't blame him, honest. It was a stupid accident but he probaly will avoid me all weekend now." Jessy pouted. "Jessy are you okay. I really hurt you huh? I'm so sorry." Zac said approaching them. "No Za.. Jessy tried to say. "Son if you felt Jessy's head before Zac, feel it again now, has it grown?" Diana asked. "No Mom it's about the same size but softer feeling. It was real hard at first." Zac answered. "Mom, is that bad or what?" Zac asked. "Daddy this is a little embarassing everybody feeling my head." Jessy pouted. "Sorry sweetie, we just need to make sure you're okay is all baby." Walker said wrapping his arms back around her. "Sis you okay?" Chele asked making her way to the group. "I didn't mean to honest." Zac apologized. "He di.." Jessy tried to explain but Taylor interrupted asking, "What did you do Zac?" "I didn't mean to." Zac apologized. "Stop. He didn't do anything. We did and he just happens to have a thicker skull that I do. It was just and accident. Zac I'm sorry they accused. Please it wasn't your fault and thanks for apologizing about it but it's not necessary okay?" Jessy pleaded. "Yeah Jessy. You're awfully nice." Zac declared. "Umm Thanks. I think you're nice too." Jessy replied. "Awwww." everyone said. "Saps. You're all a bunch of saps." Jessy giggled as Walker hugged her tight, "I am to an old Sap." he said as everyone agreed and laughed. "Jessy the girls are waiting for you. Care to go swiming?" Zac asked extending his hands. "Okay Mom. I'll be careful." Jessy asked. "I'll watch her Mom." Zac promised. "No diving or roughing it." Diana ordered and Jessy put her hand in Zac's and they raced to the girls. Then all of them raced hand in hand to the water but as they hit the water all the girls stopped, making Zac the only one getting wet. "Come on girls, get him for me." and they all raced to the dock cannon balling Zac, Jessy leading the way and they all laughed as Zoe followed in her swim wings. Jessy and the girls dragged Zac closer so she could reach him with her splash. He chased after everyone finally picking Jessy up and while trying to reach the dock with her all the other girls, grabbed him, holding on tight. "I'm out numbered." Zac said trying to drag the three girls handing onto his right leg when a group of his buddies came to rescue him, pulling the girls off. "I'll remember you. Your image is burned into my brain and someday, somehow, I will get even, you'll never have a girlfriend because I'll be there to tell them of the day you did this to me." Jessy threatened all the way to the end of the dock. "Oww my head hurts." Jessy pouted. "Jessy you okay? I was watching. I didn't see you bump it." Zac said with concern in his voice as he stopped, let her down, and as he reached to touch her head, "Sucker." Jessy screamed pushing him in them cannon balling him. What she hadn't planned on was all of Zac's buddies doing the same thing but with much bigger waves. "Man Zac you friend are huge. Tidal waves." Jessy complained hanging onto him after another wave took her under with it. "Did you pay them to keep it up until I clung to you?" Jessy asked. "No babe, I paid them to keep it up until you kissed me." Zac confessed. "Oh I see, there's a price on my head then you're saying?" Jessy asked. "Yeah babe, you're are expensive." Zac teased. "Oh but you know I'll be worth it, that's why you offered huh?" Jessy asked. "You're worth more than anything. But you can't be bought." Zac declared and smiled as Jessy wrapped her legs around his waist. "Oh you're pretty sure of yourself aren't you?" Jessy asked. "No babe, I'm so scared you don't like me half as much as I like you babe." Zac confessed as their eyes searched deeper and deeper. "Zac, I don't think you have to be afraid of me not liking you as much as you like me." Jessy said gazing at his lips, then into his eyes, lips, eyes, lip before she finally placed her lips to his, kissing him softly, over and over, inching her way around his lip then pressing harder and harder, kissing him deeply as a loud cheer went up on the end of the dock, only to be echoed on shore when they realized what was going on. The rest of the day was spent celebrating, the girls arrival. "Walker this is what I prayed for. Our boys to find someone to share with, someone to love." Diana said later that evening as the guests had left and the weekend guests were all that was left. "Well I have a slumber party to go to. You and the boys have fun and remember no men allowed on the upper two levels. Everything you'll need is downstairs for you guys." Diana explained. "Not everything, you'll be upstairs with the girls." Walker explained kissing his wife goodnight.
