Pick Me Up ~ Part 10

They chatted about everything on the drive and were still in deep discussion as Isaac pulled into the restaurant, parked the car, and walked her into the restaurant telling her all about the recording studio. "Becky would you do something for me?" Isaac asked as he opened the door. "I can't promise until I know what it is but for you probably." Becky said kissing his cheek as she walked through the door. "Babe quit your job, you know so we have more time to be together? I know I have no right to expect you to change your life for me, but..." Isaac was explaining as Becky interrupted by placing her finger to his lips, "Isaac you have a right to expect me to change my life, I'm going to be your wife Isaac. If that isn't changing my life for you, I don't know what is. And yeah I think quitting the coffee shop is a good idea and not just because you asked, because I want to spend more time with you too." Becky explained kissing him deeply. "Excuse me sir, just two in your party." the maitre de asked as Becky put up two fingers and then made an okay sign. "Thank you ma'am and the name?" he asked. "Hanson" Isaac answered pulling back from their kiss and Becky sighed, laying her head on his shoulder. "I think I have a table for two in the back, secluded. Let me check." he said disappearing, returning and leading them to the back. "Surprise. Happy Engagement." his family screamed as Becky jumped, hiding behind Isaac. "Real brave babe." Isaac teased. "Just practicing! You know for when your fans find out about us and start lobbing things my way." Becky said as everyone laughed. "It sure is a good thing I went potty before we left. This could have been embarassing." Becky whispered into his ear causing him to laugh. "Becky welcome to the family. I know this morning it probably looked like we weren't happy, it just took us by surprise. Thank you for coming into his life and making him happy. He's my best friend and that's all I really want is for him to be happy." Taylor said eyes filling with tears as he hugged her tight. Taylor all I want is for him to be happy too." Becky whispered causing him to smile, kiss her cheek before he hugged his brother. "Man Becky, he sure is gaga over you. I sure hope you know what your getting into?" Zac said. "Umm, Let's see, I'm not just marrying him, I'm marrying all of you too?" Becky asked. "Yeah you know. Good. Welcome to the family." Zac said hugging her. "No sense in my waiting for our wedding, Zac stop rolling your socks off and leaving them in a ball." Becky complained. "Oh guys, we did laundry. She saw the full hamper. Make sure she ain't around when you lift the lid." Isaac warned. "Oh and lifting the lid, don't leave it that way no more. I fall in because of one of you." Becky teased pointing at the three before giggling. "Man you sure you two aren't married all ready?" Taylor asked. "She sure sounds like it." Zac complained. "My turn, get out of the way. I'm so glad I'm getting a big sister. I'm so happy for you and him too." Jessie said hugging her tight. "I'm the lucky one, getting a kid sister like you. You've been a big sister longer than me, so you let me know if there's anything I should be doing, okay?" Becky asked. "Sure, this could be fun." Jessie teased. "Yeah but I'm the big sister now and I could make you so sorry. You know I'm sure Mom will ask me about boys in your life, makeup, all sorts of things." Becky teased back. "Girls, behave." Walker said. "Yes Daddy." they said in unison, then laughing. "Congratulations kids. You, welcome to the family and thanks for loving him the way you do." Walker said taking Becky into his arms. "You know, you ain't seen nothing yet comes to mind." Becky whispered and Walker burst out laughing. "Get a grip Dad." Zac said slapping him on the back. "Oh Isaac, son, I hope you're up to this." Walker laughed and headed back to his seat. "Me, me." Zoe said toddling their way. "My baby sister." Becky said whisking her into her arms, holding her tight then singing and dancing with her, ending by spinning then kissing her as Zoe hugged her tight laying her head on Becky's shoulder. "Oh Becky, welcome to the family. You stole my first baby's heart and now my baby's heart." Diana said tears in her eyes. "I love them mom, all of them. Isaac is the best thing that's ever happened to me, ever could happen to me. He brings out the best in me. Before him, I never mattered in any of the relationships I had, I was an object but not with Isaac. He makes me come alive." Becky said gazing at him across the room talking with his Dad and brothers. "That's how I feel about his loving you, it brings out the best in him. He's never been as happy as he is with you and he doesn't hide his tenderness, his warmth. his soul anymore." Diana said wrapping an arm around her and hugging her tight. "You know Walker was talking about how well things are going in the studio. He said Isaac has written a new song that will make the world take notice." Diana mentioned. "As long as the guys enjoy what they're doing. Did I just say that, me, who wants to marry a member of the band and have his babies. Gee his new song better be another 'Mmmbop' if he knows what's good for him. I guess we need the fans if we're going to have a large family." Becky explained with a puzzled look on her face. "What's the worried look for?" Isaac asked wrapping an arm around her as Diana picked up Zoe. Becky hugged him tight, "Babe it's all right, I love you Becky." Isaac whispered wrapping her in his arms, comforting her. "I know it will be all right, I believe in you Isaac Hanson. It's I guess I never thought about how things would change just because I love you." Becky whispered. "Change is good." Isaac whispered kissing the top of her head. "Yeah hun, change is good. Especially when it includes you." Becky said lifting her head and looking into his warm brown eyes so full of love she couldn't resist caressing his face, "I love you so much Isaac Hanson." "I love you too. More than anything and everything, you've given such meaning to my life. I've searched for you for so long. You are well worth the wait, but I hope you undersand that now that I've found you, I can't wait any longer to make you my wife, Becky tell me again that you'll share my life and be my wife." Isaac asked pulling a black velvet ring box from his pocket, kneeling, taking her hand in his watching the tears flow down her face. " Isaac, yes, yes I'll share the rest of your life as your wife." Becky managed to get out before her cries started. He held her shaking hand tighter as he slipped the ring on her finger then kissing it before he kissed the back of her hand as she gasped. Becky turned her hand and cradled his face, "I love you so much Isaac." Becky whispered as she caressed his face. Isaac rose and took her in his arms, kissing her deeply as she wrapped her arms around his neck, "Soon Becky, soon you'll be my wife." Isaac promised as his family gathered round to congratulate them once again. "Dad where's Chris?" Isaac asked looking at his watch. "Right here behind you. I wouldn't miss this for anything. Becky dear, congratulations. You do know that's quite a catch you made there?" Chris asked. "I agree, quite a catch. So talented and sensitive, I'm very lucky. Now about that talent, what are you going to do about putting them back in the number one spot where they belong?" Becky asked taking his arm listening intently to his thoughts. "I'm all for it Chris, but it has to be okay with the family too. Daddy do you have a minute?" Becky asked and the three stood talking soon joined by Isaac, Taylor and Zac. "Hun this is so unfair to Mom and the kids. Tell you what, let's eat and we can take this up at home. Chris can I talk you into staying one more night, there are a few things you need to know about me before we go ahead with this publicity hype." Becky suggested. They had dinner and Chris arranged for a photographer to document the occasion for a press release. "Chris if you don't mind? I'll develop them, I have a dark room at home. It's a passion of mine, photography." Becky shared, gathering the film from the photographer. "Are the photos at home your work?" Isaac asked. "Yeah hun." Becky answered depositing the rolls of film in her purse. "Becky you are good. Mom you have to see her work, you'll love it." Isaac exclaimed. "Actually I have a display at the museum of fine arts through the end of the month." Becky shared. "She's good enough to be on exhibit." Isaac stated. "You sure one day will be enough to fill me in on you." Chris teased. "Umm you know about the dancing, singing, photography, oh I'm also a published author." Becky shared. "Best sellers if I know you." Chris insisted. "Who told you? Don't look at me that way, they're Children's books." Becky teased. "Hey Zac, will you look at my latest book, I need an artist to help me with the illustrations and I sure love your work. Would you consider it?" Becky asked. "Sure I'll look at it." Zac agreed. Isaac and Becky took Zac and Taylor along to stop at Becky's to develop the pictures, pick up her scrapbooks, children's books and for Becky to show Zac her latest work. "Isaac hun could you come in here and unzip me please, I think I'm going to change?" Becky called out as the guys were reading her books to each other. "Don't read another word." Isaac warned making his way to Becky. "There you go." Isaac said quickly unzipping her and heading back, leaving Becky speechless and grumbling to herself as she dressed in her tightest fitting, low riding jeans and a tank top. Becky packed a bag for the night and her school bag and headed to the dark room for the finished prints, packing them, her scrapbooks, books, a photo album and laptop. "Ready to go babe." Becky announced. "That's nice babe." Isaac said his eyes never leaving the book. "Isaac Hanson. Isaac. I'll see you there. I should drive anyway so I can get to work in the morning." Becky said heading out. "Lock up and I'll see you at your folks' house." Becky said heading to the garage, loading up into her little yellow volkswagen beatle backing out of the garage before they showed. "Becky you don't have to drive. Come on hun." Isaac insisted. I already told you I was driving so I could drive to work in the morning instead of making you get up early." Becky explained. "I don't mind. You know I'd do anything for you." Isaac confessed. "Yeah you would if I'd let you, but I'm not letting you get up early and that's it." Becky said as Zac crawled in to ride with her and they headed out.
