Jessy was up with the first morning light and headed in to shower. After drying her hair, she dressed in jogging shorts and bra and in her mini-backpack she packed a pair of breakaway pants with a matching jacket. Jessy made her way to Zac's room rapping lightly so as not to wake Ike and Tay. When Zac answered, they managed to pack his spare clothes and wallet into her mini-pack before making their way to the kitchen where Jessy took her vitamins with some juice while writing a note for her mother, "Momma, Zac runs too so he's coming along for my run. Might explore his old neighborhood. Luv ya, Jessy" and left the note on the kitchen table as the two headed out after stretching and warming up. Zac took the lead, taking a shortcut to downtown, "Babe don't you ever take this shortcut alone, it's not the safest of trails." Zac warned. "Promise hun. Only with you." Jessy promised as they made it to the backside of the hospital. "Zac wait. I want to put my clothes on, okay?" Jessy asked. "Good idea babe, I think I'll dress now too." Zac said moving them around the side of a builiding, holding her bag while she unpacked their things and they dressed. Zac led to a McDonalds and the jogged thru the drive thru ordering breakfast for his folks and them before they made their way to the hospital. They found the Cardiac Care Unit where his Grampa had been moved after improving his way out of intensive care. Zac and Jessy quietly made their way down the aisle, "Hun there's your Mom." Jessy said and as the two made their wa into the room the smell of McDonald's woke her and his father. "Zac, oh baby. What a nice surprise. And who's this?" Diana asked. "Mom this is Jessy, she's about the best of eveyrthing rolled into one. She's so pretty, I can't believe she loves me too." Zac said gazing into Jessy's blue eyes as she raised her hand, caressing his face, "But she does. She can't help it, she tried. There's just something about him that touches my soul and makes it smile. It's so cool looking at life through that smile." Jessy said with the warmest smile on her face, lost in Zac's warm brown eye as she leaned into him and gently kissed him then leaned her forehead to his still lost in his eyes. "Oh Zac, breakfast." Jessy squealed lifting the bag. "Here I'll wake Dad." Zac said taking the bag and opening it near his father, letting the aroma out and right like that his father stirred and sat up, smiling. "Oh he's easy to please." Jessy giggled. "Comes in so handy. You'll find the same with Zac, he's a lot like his father." Diana said wrapping an arm around Jessy. "Oh that's a good thing. I think your husband is an awfully nice man. He's been hanging around my house a lot lately. I think he has the hots for my new bestest little friend, funny bunny. She's just about it. Do you know her smile lights up the whole world and her laugh is to die for." Jessy exclaimed. "So that's where he's been disappearing to. I was afraid it was another woman. Younger?" Diana teased. "No I can't tell you. It wouldn't be fair." Jessy said shaking her head no, slowly lowering it. Zac your poor mother, maybe if you hugged her." Jessy suggested. "Sure Mom. You cad how could you." Zac said snatching away the McDonald's bag rushing to his mother hugging her than handing her the bag, "Here you know he weakness, maybe you can lure him back." Zac teased. "Get him where it hurts. How dare he look at a younger woman with love in his eyes. Oh Zac that makes my Funny Bunny a, a home wrecker." Jessy gasped moving her hands to the sides of her facing, dropping her jaw, opening her mouth wide. "No not Funny Bunny." Zac said making the same face. "Not my baby." Diana said laying down the bag and making the same face as they all broke into laughter. Diana's laughter soon gave way to tears, "Mom it'll be okay. It just has to." Zac said hugging his mother tight. "Oh Mom, we've all been praying so hard. He has to have heard us." Jessy shared grabbing a tissue and wiping her tears and kissing her cheek then lightly rubbing her back. "The kids are right dear." Walker said. "Walker." Diana whimpered rushing to his arms and he comforted her. "Zac" Jessy whimpered rushing to his arms for comfort. "Dear. I just saw you. You know the you I met all those years ago. Back when I first fell head over heels in lover with you." Walker said turning her to see Zac and Jessy. "It does doesn't it. Remind you of us." Diana exclaimed. "I couldn't wish anything better for my grandson, a love as true as the two of you." Grampa Lawyer said. "Hey Grampa. Grampa this is my girlfriend, Jessy." Zac said hugging him. "My turn, hey Grampa this is from your little Funny Bunny, she sure misses you." Jessy hugged him and kissed his cheek. "And this is from Mackie, he said to get better so you can take him for a walk." Jessy said hugging him again. "These are from Jessie and Avie who said they miss you way much." Jessy smiled and kissed him on each cheek. "This is from me. I pray you get better you are so loved and needed." Jessy smiled sweetly and hugged him. "You are special. I see why my Zac loves you so." Grampa Lawyer said hugging her back then kissing her cheek as they wheeled in his breakfast. "Morning Mr. Lawyer. I don't see anyone visiting before visiting hours. You are definitely looking better, some color in your cheeks. Did she put that there?" his nurse asked making eyes at Jessy. "Yeah she did, but she's in love with my grandson. You free, maybe you'd like to go to dinner when you're done working?" Grampa teased. "Oh you sweet talker you." his nurse blushed noting his vitals onto his chart and wrote a note, "Family visiting" next to them. "You enjoy your breakfast Mr. Lawyer. You know, with those visitors I don't see. I'll just shut your door before someone wanders in." she said leaving. The all gathered around his bed eating breakfast, talking, laughing, just enjoying. As they were cleaning up the breakfast mess, "Walker, son I think I'd like to get dressed do you think you could give me a hand." Grampa said. "Daddy I'll help you." Diana said. "Oh Mom I thought maybe we'd go for a little walk. Get to know each other, you can tell me all those embarassing things about Zac that he'd rather I never know." Jessy suggested, adding, "It could be fun you know." "You I'd like to know better. I think you're going to be around for a long time." Diana said extending her hand and Jessy quickly placed hers. "If you guys can manage without me, I'm stealing your girlfriend son." Diana said as she led Jessy out the door. They walked hand in hand at first but as Diana started to cry, she wrapped an arm around Jessy's shoulder pulling her closer as Jessy wrapped an arm around her waist and they walked as the tears flowed. "Mom want to go in." Jessy asked pointing at the doors with the sign overhead, Chapel. "I'd like that dear, thank you." Diana said heading to the door taking Jessy's hand and leading her in. Jessy lit a candle and prayed to the statue of the virgin Mary before moving to the front of the chapel, kneeling before the statue of Christ on a cross, praying for all those who were sick and those hurting because their loved ones were sick. Diana knelt beside her, "Jessy, thanks for suggesting this and for loving Zac." Diana said. "Mom that's all right and thank you for making Zac special enough to love. It's all so scary, me in love, that's a good one." Jessy said tears filling her eyes as she faked laughing. "Oh I remember that feeling. So many possibilities yet so set on where your life will go then wham, he walks in and everything changes, everything else no longer matters only him." Diana whispered. "Yeah Mom. You too?" Jessy asked. "Yes Jessy, I was so sure at your age where my life would take me then one day I looked at Walker and everything changed. My dreams and plans before him no longer mattered, Walker was the only important thing in my life. I wanted to marry before we graduated high school, didn't want to go to college just marry Walker. He insisted I go and finish college, the meany." Diana laughed. "Daddy a meany. Just don't see it Mom." Jessy laughed as she rose and offered Diana a hand up. They sat in the first pew, talking and getting to know each other. "Mom, why don't you let Zac and I sit with Grampa and you have Daddy take you home to clean up, then to our place to see and hug Mackie and the girls, oh and Ike and Tay too." Jessy suggested. "You know Jessy I'd like that, you sure you wouldn't mind?" Diana asked. "No I like your Dad, he's pretty cool. Besides I'll do just about anything to spend time with Zac." Jessy answered and they headed back to find the guys walking the halls. "Looking good Grampa." Jessy squealed slipping in between him and Zac, kissing them both on the cheek. When the walk was over and he was returned to his bed. "Daddy would you mind if Walker and I went home for a while then stopped to see the kids?" Diana asked. "Good idea, then I get him all to myself, well I guess I could share with Zac." Jessy said flirting with Grampa. "You better share, he's my Grampa and I was sharing with you woman." Zac teased tickling Jessy. "Give Zac don't tickle. Now I gotta go potty." Jessy said heading to the bathroom. "Before you go, I didn't really ask my mom to spend the day here, I just told her we were going jogging. I better call her and let her know we jogged here." Jessy shared and called her Mom and explained, telling her that Zac's folks would be by later to see the kids. Walker and Diana headed home while Zac and Jessy hung out with Grampa, playing cards, tic tac toe, and watching movies. At lunch time Zac went back to Micky D's and got them lunch. Zac's folks checked in to make sure they got lunch, "Dear they're both napping. They remind me a lot of you and Walker." Grampa said. Jessy woke first and cuddled with Grampa reading to him until he nodded off. Jessy laid the bed back a little and crawled out, returning to Zac. "You're awake. How long?" Jessy whispered. "Since you left me. I'm glad you're back where you belong." Zac said drawing her to him kissing her passionately. "Jessy that was nice of you to read to Grampa. He really liked it. You should have seen him smiling at you. He really likes you. So do I." Zac shared kissing her again harder and longer than before, pulling her closer, climbing on top of her, wedging himself between her legs, "Someday Jessy I'll love you for real, and I'll give myself to you and you'll be mine totally. Forever." Zac whispered kissing her passionately lightly rubbing against her. "I can't wait to give myself to you and we'll be one forever." Jessy whispered kissing him back longer and harder with a growing desire. "Not now Jessy, someday. I wouldn't want to get us in trouble. We better sit up before we find out I'm not that strong." Zac explained pulling away, sitting up and holding her in his arms. When Grampa woke the three went for a walk in the hallway. Walker and Diana returned, "Daddy we stopped by your place and I packed you a few more things. Not too many because you're going to get strong enough to go home soon. Kids, Isaac is downstairs waiting for you so you don't have to run home." Diana said and they said their goodbyes and headed out to find Isaac.
