Kat had almost finished her meal and honestly looked happy for the first time in so long. Soon Walker joined them, "You know you girls are really talented. You are better than Brandy, Britney or Christina, you're more musically talented than Britney and Christina put together and almost adding Brandy in but she has such a pure quality to her voice." Walker said. "It was nothing intentional. We were at a party in New York City, the girls had come to visit. We were so totally bored, the party was a total bust so we just started singing and dancing. Through the months we put together the dance moves, we were really just having fun." Kat explained. "Well that's the most talented fun I've ever seen. You girls wouldn't happen to be thinking of doing it for real, along for the fun." Walker asked. "You're serious?" Kat asked finishing her milk while rolling her eyes at Walker then at Isaac who laughed at the milk on her upper lip. "You doing this on purpose or are you going to be embarassed." Isaac asked picking up her napkin and dabbing her lip. "Just checking to see." Kat said turning back to his father. "You seriously believe we could make it?" Kat asked him. "Yes. I am as sure as I was about the boys." Walker shared. "Geez. That was one of your better moments. Chele, Jessy could you come here a minute." Kat called out and the girls soon joined them bringing along Tay and Zac. After the initial laughter, the girls realized they were serious. "Ah come on Zac, you can't be serious. We were just horsing around and you want to put you reputation behind us. No I couldn't." Jessy said. "I agree with Jessy. Kat there is no way I could've even sang if I'd known he was in the audience. Hanson listenting to us. Get real." Chele shared. "Well then he won't be in the audience." Walker said. "Wow I ask and you just do, no questions asked. This I like. Remember that I don't see you in the audience." Chele giggled wagging a finger at Taylor then laughing. "What are you laughing for? His father says he won't be in the audience and everything is fine?" Jessy asked. "Think of it! What is it we want more than anything?" Chele asked. "To be with Kat since she won't come live with Momma and me." Jessy said. "Well?" Chele said. "Fine it just may work, but you better not stare. I catch you staring at me and I'm gonna tell your Dad and you're going to be in big trouble." Jessy warned. "Jessy I wouldn't stare baby. Promise." Zac pleaded. "Is that so Zac?" Jessy said rising to reach for a cracker, making sure her butt was in Zac's view, glancing back to see Zac staring. When she sat back down,"I wouldn't stare baby, promise." Jessy whispered then chuckled as Zac's face turned red. "You're not on stage and besides, you're beautiful." Zac whispered. "Oh you can't help yourself huh?" Jessy asked. "No I can't." Zac whispered as he reached for some crackers and cheese while Jessy enjoyed the view and Zac snickered as her face reddened. "Not so easy huh?" Zac whispered. "No babe, but I didn't promise." Jessy whispered. "Chris you made it. I'd like you to meet Chele, Jessy and Kat. Girls, Chris Sabec." Walker introduced and the eight sat discussing possibilities. Kat began struggling to get up as Isaac rose and extended his hand, helping her to her feet. Kat headed into the Clubhouse finding the Manager and making arrangments for them to do another performance. Kat changed into her capris outfit with the matching jacket that helped conceal her very pregnant state, grabbing a different tape of back ground music before heading back. Jessy spied her first, quickly getting Chele's attention, "Excuse us a minute please." Chele said as she and Jessy made their way to Kat, "Folks were in for another treat, the girls were just talking music and to prove a point, they are going to perform some numbers from the past, 'Graduation Day', 'Last Kiss', 'Leader Of the Pack', 'My Boyfriend's Back' and 'Teen Angel'. Now if this isn't dating myself, but I remember them all. Chele, Jessy and Kat, take it away girls." the Club manager introduced and the girls took the stage once more dancing and singing up a storm. As they finished the last number everyone was on the feet applauding, begging for more, leaving the girls at a loss and scrambling for something else to sing. "Hey I know what, we don't even need a tape. Remember that spoof we did on the boys, 'Rocking Robin' acapella." Jessy suggested. "Cool" Chele agreed and the girls snapped of and performed bringing smiles to the faces of the guys. "Man I'm suddenly really tired." Kat shared. "You don't look good either, real pale. I think you've overdone it." Chele said, adding, "Jessy go tell them were leaving and give them our room number and hotel. I'll get the car. Come on Kat." "If you hadn't figured it out that was for you Chris. We're leaving, Kat isn't feeling well. I think she over did it and we're heading back to our hotel. We're in the Hilton, rooms 222,3 and 4. But mostly we're in 224, that's Kat's room." Jessy explained as a messenger from the Club came to inform her that their car was here. "I'm sorry, I really have to go, goodnight. Hey little dude, we gotta go Kat isn't feeling well. It was neat meeting you and I had fun playing, maybe we can play again some day." Jessy said kissing Mackie on the cheek. "Tell pretty lady feel better okay." Mackie said. "I will sweetie. I bet that does just that, make her feel better." Jessy said waving goodbye and making her way to the car. Back in their hotel room, Kat showered and got into her jammies and headed to bed, falling fast asleep the minute her head hit the pillow. Jessy raced to the ringing phone before it woke Kat, "Hello" she answered. "Hey, Jessy?" Isaac asked. "Isaac, hun call me back in 222. Kat just fell asleep, okay? I don't want to wake her." Jessy asked and hung up, picking up the paper off the floor by the wastebasket before racing next door to her room, to answer the ringing phone. "Isaac?" Jessy answered. "Yeah Jessy. I didn't wake her did I?" Isaac asked. "No. She didn't even stir Isaac. She really must be tired, she's so pale." Jessy said concern in her voice. "Does this happen often?" Isaac asked. "Umm no. She's normally really careful about her health, I mean for the baby. Today wasn't normal. I mean, I've seen her stop a shoot, to snack, rest, whatever. Today was different, she didn't eat, didn't rest. I didn't even notice until now. I have this feeling suddenly, it's wierd, like I know why, that I have the answer." Jessy said unnerved. "Jessy, sweetie are you okay?" Isaac asked. "I'm not sure, this is spooky. It's like I have the ans.." Jessy stopped in mid-sentence looking at the paper in her hand. "Oh my god, how could they?" Jessy cried out and raced across the hall to get Chele, sharing the letter Kat had gotten from her parents. The girls were crying in each others arms, when they heard a knock at the door. "Who would?" Chele asked. "I'll get it, I better get back. Oh shit, I left Isaac hanging." Jessy said opening the door still wiping her tears. "Isaac, Zac, Tay." Jessy said collapsing in Zac's arms and crying all over again. "Babe don't cry. Sssh." Zac said comforting her. "Chele, baby, what is it?" Tay asked. "Oh Tay." Chele said racing to his arms, looking at Isaac. "Kat's parents wrote her. She must have gotten it this morning before we headed to the shoot at the Club. They're insisting she give the baby up for adoption." Chele explained. "Insisting, don't be so nice. They told her to give the baby up for adoption or don't bother coming home." Jessy said angrily as she moved to the phone dialing, "Momma, I want to try for a music career. You know how we're always horsing around singing and dancing, well, an upcoming record label happened to catch us and they're really interested and offered us a chance at a career. I want to try, to go for it. Say yes. I'll behave, go to school and everything if you'll just let me." Jessy asked. "Wow when did this happen." her mother asked. "Well it's still happening. Momma the record label, the studio, it's Hanson." Jessy explained, adding, "Momma if I do this, I can be with Kat...." Jessy said starting to cry and then shared the latest. "Thanks Momma. We'll see you soon. I'll tell Kat. Love you Momma." Jessy said hanging up, continuing, "I'm going to Tulsa. Want me call Momma Donna or you going to? Momma said Kat already has temporary custody of me so she'll just leave it that way and we should go for it." "Man my folks are going to flip. My Dad wasn't too keen on this, the modeling." Chele said. "Yeah and who talked him into letting you go, me. Your father can't say no to me. Let me ask?" Jessy asked. "No I'll ask." Chele said dialing the phone hesitantly, speaking to her mother trying to explain. "Momma it's me. Can you believe it?" Jessy said taking the phone. "Believe what sweetie and how are you?" Donna asked. "Momma I'm fine, really this smile and look pretty stuff is kind of cool. But isn't it neat, all your years of dance lessons paying off this way?" Jessy asked. "What are you talking about baby?" Donna asked and Jessy explained sharing that her Mom had already agreed, leaving temporary custody of her with Kat until they took a stab at this. "Momma just said I would be leaving her someday and if I could make it and it's what I wanted, then we should go for it." Jessy said listening to Donna explain to Chele's Dad. "Hey Daddy. Did you ever think your little twinkle toes would help us land a recording contract. I'm totally blown away, this is way cool. Besides Tulsa, not LA or New York City, we're recording in Tulsa. I think that's what sold it for Momma, the fact that I'd be in Tulsa." Jessy shared and they talked a few more minutes, "Daddy promise you'll come visit us? You want to talk to her, she's right here." Jessy said giving Chele a thumbs up and the phone as she noticed Isaac re-reading the letter from Kat's parents. "Let's go check on her. She has bad dreams and sometimes I just sit watching her sleep." Jessy said taking his hand and heading across the hall, stopping, "Zac you gonna come?" Jessy asked. "Sure Jessy. I didn't think you wanted me to is all." Zac said. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel that way Zac. I didn't think to ask you, I just assumed you'd come with me." Jessy explained dropping Isaac's hand and extending it towards Zac. "I don't mean to be like a jealous type. Jessy I just didn't think you'd want me checking on Kat is all." Zac said taking her hand. "This is so silly, I'm not going to watch Kat, Ike is if he wants to, I'm just going to hang out in my room so I can hear her. I'm the light sleeper of the group so I always take the room closest to Kat." Jessy explained as they entered Kat's room through the adjoining door. Jessy tiptoed up to the bed, pulling the covers back over her, gently moving the hair from her face. "Jessy?" Kat asked. "Yeah it's me. Why aren't you sleeping?" Jessy asked. "Can't, I keep having this..." Kat said struggling to sit up. "I saw the letter Kat. They can't do anything except prove to you over and over that they are the worst parents on the face of the earth. Kat they can't take the baby or make you give her up." Jessy said hugging Kat. "Stop calling it a her. I can't afford a shrink when I have a boy who you've made believe is a girl." Kat teased and they both laughed. "You up to some company? The guys came down, Ike is sort of left out." Jessy asked. "Sure. Why not I can't sleep. Wonder what movies are playing?" Kat asked as Jessy went to get everyone. They ordered room service and a movie and piled into Kat's bed watching 'Something About Mary'. "God I gotta pee. Isaac help me up, hurry." Kat said during a round of laughing. "Come on babe, I got you." Isaac said picking her up and carrying her to the bathroom. "I want a report of what I miss." Kat said closing the door, rushing so she didn't miss anything. "What did I miss?" she asked returning to the group as Isaac updated her on what she missed. They laughed their way through the rest of the movie and then ordered 'Big Daddy'. "Dad. We're down in the Kat's room watching movies. The girls are going to sign so you and Chris better come up with something. Jessy already talked to her Mom and Chele has permisson from her folks, they're coming to Tulsa so you better decide what's what." Isaac said calling his folks. "You what. I didn't know. Momma said you could come to Tulsa with me?" Kat asked tears filling her eyes. "Yeah, Sis Momma said I can stay with you. She wishes you'd stay with her until the baby is born but understands. She's only a phone call away." Jessy shared. "This is great." Kat said hugging Jessy, Chele, Tay, Zac and finally the back of Isaac as he sat on the edge of the bed still talking on the phone. "Whoa I've been double teamed." Isaac laughed then explaining to his Dad. "Isaac. That's not funny." Kat squealed grabbing a pillow and smacking him. "Got you good didn't she." Zac teased and Kat smacked him next. Everyone grabbed pillows, running to Jessy's bed grabbing the pillows and returning to the battleground. "Dad I got to go they're beating the crap out of me. We're in 224. Call us if you got anything" Isaac said hanging up and joining in the fight. "No more, no more." Kat screamed collapsing on the bed. "Babe you okay?" Isaac asked while blocking the last few blows to Kat. "You saved me. They were hitting me Isaac. Meanies." Kat pouted excited by the closeness of his body. "Kat are you okay babe, you looked flushed." Isaac asked gazing into her eyes as Kat looked away for a moment then returned to his eyes, "I'm, I'm, geez I haven't felt this way in so long, I think I'm, you know you, umm." Kat said totally flustered. "Yeah I like you too." Isaac whispered his hand lightly following from her back down past her butt. "Help me up please." Kat whispered as Isaac rose and helped her to her feet before she headed to the bathroom. "We're running for more drinks and munchies." Zac said leading Jessy by the hand with Chele and Tay not far behind. "Did you see her look at him? She was liking him being close. She was blushing." Jessy asked. "Yeah Sis. That's why we came along. Like you two need help carrying sodas and munchies." Chele said as the four hung out at the vending machines giving them some privacy. "Where'd everyone go?" Kat asked. "To get drinks and munchies." Isaac explained straightening the bed, putting the pillows back on the bed. "Room service huh?" Kat teased crawling into bed as Isaac tucked a pillow in behind her, "Better?" Isaac asked kissing the top of her head and sitting on the edge of the bed near her. "Yeah that feels great. Thanks." Kat said sitting cross legged. "Wow you can still do that?" Isaac asked pointing at the way she was sitting. "Duh. I'm pregnant not dead." Kat snapped at him. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that." Isaac apologized. "I'm sure you didn't. It's just, I'm real, oh god what is wrong with me. I'm not usually, I mean. God Isaac what have you done to me. I'm a, I can't even talk around you." Kat said hiding her face. "Kat it's okay. I'm okay with you being pregnant. It's okay I'm not judging you." Isaac shared placing his hand lightly under her chin, lifting her face, gazing in her eyes looking for understanding. "I find that hard to believe. Not dissing you Isaac, but it's kind of obvious." Kat said placing a hand on her belly. "Yeah it is Kat, but it's okay. Pregnant is not all there is to you. You're beautiful, warm, talented. You're so much more than an unwed, pregnant teenager to me." Isaac said touching her hand laying on her belly, softly stroking it. "Isaac, I, I, if it was only so. It's not that easy, It just can't be. Everything about me is trouble Isaac, you're better off not knowing me." Kat said pulling her hand away from his leaving Isaac's hand on her belly as he continued stroking. "Don't touch me." Kat said pushing him away. "Kat I'm sorry, I won't again until you want me to, I swear." Isaac promised backing away from her. "This is not right. I shouldn't feel this way." Kat argued. "Then keep telling yourself you don't." Isaac insisted. "Shut up. This is all your fault." Kat accused. "Everything about me is trouble and you'd be better off if you'd never met me." Isaac teased. "That's not funny." Kat screamed hitting him with a pillow. "I just picked up all the pillows, don't be messing it up again." Isaac said pulling the pillow from her hands and quickly swatting her in the butt. "This is war." Kat said grabbing another pillow and swatting him back twice before he swatted her butt again causing Kat to grab another pillow, smacking him on both sides of the head at once and they collapsed to the bed laughing, Isaac almost on top of her. He scrambled to move away from her before she got angry. "I'm so sorry Isaac. I didn't mean for you to be afraid of me." Kat said starting to cry. "I'm not afraid of you babe, I just don't want to make you mad at me again. I promised you remember?" Isaac explained. "What if I changed my mind?" Kat asked. "You changed your mind?" Isaac repeated gazing into her eyes searching, "Isaac?" Kat asked. "Yeah babe, I'm not hurting you am I?" Isaac asked moving away again. "No, no you're not hurting me. It's just, Isaac would you kiss me? I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, don't feel pressured. It was a stupid." Kat squirmed trying to get away from him ashamed of what she had asked. "Kat don't be embarassed." Isaac whispered moving closer to her, slowly closer until he finally reached her pressing his lips to hers gently, kissing her over and over with small gentle kisses. "Wow that was great." Isaac said. "Yeah great." Kat gasped gazing into his eyes as Isaac drew closer and closer kissing her again as the others returned. "You guys got lousy timing." Isaac moaned pulling away from Kat. "You can say that again." Kat agreed as Isaac helped her up. They watched the next movie then the guys said good night, making dates for breakfast.
