They were lined up in the driveway to greet them, even Great Grampa Lawyer and Great Grampa and Gramma Hanson, some Aunts and Uncles and a few cousins. "Oh my. You have such a big family." Kat mumbled. "Babe your only concern is you and DJ, not entertaining all of them." Isaac reassured. "He's right sweetie. Don't you worry about them they're family, they'll understand. Daddy is here, Walker my father came. I can't believe it." Diana said gasping. "Daddy, how'd you know?" Diana asked. "Which one of you sweet things called me?" he asked. "That'd be me Grampa, Jessy." Jessy answered. "Oh yeah Zac's woman. Diana you didn't tell all the boys had found their someone specials." he fussed. "Daddy that's not something you leave on an answering machine, 'By the way besides missing Isaac's wedding, Taylor and Zac also are in love and I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't have another wedding soon." Diana complained. "Well I'm here and I'm here for a while. Now where is that special little girl, named after the two most important girls in my life. We're calling her DJ right?" Great Grampa Lawyer asked. "That's right Grampa, D for Mom and J for Gramma." Isaac answered, lifting DJ from her car seat and handing her to his grandfather, "Take her Grampa while I help my wife." Isaac said. "Another beauty I have yet to meet." he said fussing over DJ. "My, my, my I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful baby." he said sharing with Grampa and Gramma Hanson as Isaac helped Kat down and introduced her to her grandparents. "My lord child, you're positively the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." Grampa Lawyer said. "He's right child." Grampa Hanson added. "Oh my the baby looks so much like you. Next time have a boy and let it look more like Daddy so he doesn't feel left out. How my poor Walker stands being surrounded by all blondes." Gramma Hanson complained. "Oh Daddy loves the attention he gets, surrounded by us blondes. Don't you Daddy?" Kat said making her way to his arms. "I live for it. How's my girl, tired? Hungry?" Walker asked. "I am hungry now that you mention it. I missed breakfast. Daddy would you make me some pancakes?" Kat asked. "For you anything. Son I'm taking your wife to breakfast, seems you forgot to feed her. How about you, Mother, Kat wants pancakes, either of you care to join her?" Walker said and the family headed in. "Daddy let me help you?" Jessy offered. "Sure sweetie. That was so nice of you to call the family." Walker said. "We had a blast spreading the word. We called Chris but he already knew. Isaac's attorney, you know the wedding guy, had called him. His flight comes in tomorrow morning, Taylor is going to pick him up." Jessy shared as they prepared breakfast. "Me baby no." Zoe asked lifting Kat's shirt."No sweetheart, your brother has your baby want to see? She's awfully pretty, just like you." Kat said lifting Zoe. "Wow I can pick you up. Weee." Kat exclaimed twirling with Zoe all the way to Isaac. "Here's your baby." Kat said. "Ohhh preddy. La, la, la me baby." Zoe said and started singing to DJ who opened her eyes, "Hi preddy baby. La, la, la." Zoe continued amazing everyone with DJ's connection to her Aunt Zoe. "Me baby?" Zoe asked her arms outstretched. "Of course you can. Here let Isaac help you." Kat answered lifting DJ while Isaac put Zoe in his lap and Kat laid DJ in Zoe's arms, supported by Isaac.. "Me baby, me baby. Mummee, Daddee, me baby." Zoe squealed. "Daddy pull me up, I'm stuck down here." Kat said laughing. "Stuck?" Walker asked. "It's all his fault, I haven't gotten up on my own since the day I met him, I must have forgotten how." Kat exclaimed pointing at Isaac and they all laughed. "Mom now you can take my place, I smell my pancakes. Hey sis I want the first batch, I'm starved." Kat said making her way to Jessy and food. After eating Kat did what Isaac had told her, "Sorry everybody, I'm tired and I'm going to bed. Hun will you watch the baby?" Kat announced, kissing Isaac and DJ before Chele and Jessy showed her to their room and the nursery. Kat was sound asleep when Isaac and DJ appeared. "Kat wake up babe." Isaac called to her before laying DJ on her. "Hey DJ, hi hun. I like this you taking care of the baby while mommy sleeps. Aren't you tired hun?" Kat asked as she sat up to nurse the baby. "A little." Isaac answered. "Well when I'm done here, there's plenty of babysitters available here...." Kat was explaining, "Kat, Kat are you up?" Chele asked. "Yeah Sis we were just talking about you. Come on in." Kat answered. "Why you talking about me?" Chele asked as she entered followed by Taylor, Jessy and Zac. "Sis you've changed, eight leg, eight arms, four heads." Kat teased. "Hey guys." Taylor, Zac and Jessy said. "We need a babysitter when DJ is done, what do you need times four?" Kat asked. "Kat straight out, I answered your cell, it was your mother and she wants you to call her." Chele said. "So she knows huh?" Kat asked. "She saw this the Hospital press release on TV. Not a happy camper to put it mildly." Chele said looking away. "Sis look at me. Did she say something to you personally? So help me if she attacks either of you over this, I'll make her so sorry." Kat fumed. "Kat stop this, your going to upset the baby and yourself." Isaac whispered. "You're right. Will you burp her and change her pants lucky Daddy?" Kat asked handing him the baby as she made her way to the bathroom "Will you watch her while we nap?" Kat asked. "Of course I will." Jessy answered. "No I will." Chele said. "I'll do it Kat." Taylor said. "Well Zac? You did squeeze my ass, you owe me a freebie." Kat teased. "Jesus Kat, not in front of DJ." Zac protested. "Just help your brother change her and take care of her for a couple of hours, or as long as she'll sleep, or be good." Kat asked, finishing "I'll call my mother when I'm ready and now isn't it. I'm angry over her behavior. If she calls again tell her to call my attorney and given her Issac's attorney's number and get me so I can call him and let him know what's up." Kat said crawling into bed. "Thanks guys. Bye my little Princess." Isaac said kissing DJ then heading to Kat and crawling in next to her. "Wow just the two of us in bed. Bet you never thought you'd have to be married almost two months, to get into bed with just your wife." Kat teased climbing on top of him. "I told you I'd wait forever. Seven weeks is a breeze." Isaac teased rolling her over and kissing her passionately as he slowly laid upon her. "Wow there's nothing to you Kat." Isaac gasped. "There is too. Don't you dare call me little or tiny. I'll smack you if you do." Kat pouted. "Umm my pouty bottom lip. I've missed you." Isaac said slipping his mouth over it and lightly sucking her bottom lip. "Isaac" Kat moaned softly. "I love you Kat Hanson." Isaac moaned kissing her deeply. Kat kissed him back longer and harder than before, then kissed her way to his neck, working her way to his ear, "I love you for being there for me when I needed you. Isaac, I don't deserve you." Kat whispered. "How can you say that? Kat why do you do this to your self." Isaac asked gazing into her blue eyes. "It took them years and years to train me. Nothing I did was ever good enough even if I won. I should have been faster, better, quicker, prettier or smarter." Kat explained, finishing, "Isaac, that's why I do this to myself. I guess I'd rather hear it from myself than them." "Kat I can't believe you survived them, you are such a remarkable person. I'm the one who doesn't deserve you." Isaac confessed kissing her sweetly and holding her close. "Isaac, what if I wanted to stop them from ever having anything to do with DJ. I know there are laws protecting Grandparents rights, but I can't bare to think of them treating her the way the treated me. They're the ones who don't deserve us. Hun do you think you could help me protect her from them?" Kat asked and Isaac immediately reached for the phone, "This is Isaac Hanson, is he in?" Isaac asked. "Isaac what's up?" Dennis asked and Isaac explained what Kat had shared and asked what it would take to have their Grandparental rights revoked. "Look into it and get back to me as soon as you have a solution. Her mother has already called demanding she call her, she spoke with Chele while Kat was napping. Kat said she'd call when she felt like it and she doesn't. Chele didn't say what but Kat feels something was said to her because Chele wouldn't look her in the eyes. Because of that Kat told them if she called again to tell her to call you." Isaac explained. "Isaac that's exactly what I want at this point, sever all contact with them. I know you two just moved into your house but Isaac I need you somewhere secure like your folks' place until I have a handle on this. I don't want them near your daughter and that's final." Attorney Miller ordered. "We're there now. Mostly so Mom can be with Kat this first week to help out. Honestly I think it's so Mom can be with DJ." Isaac confessed. "DJ?" Dennis asked. "Diana Jane Hanson after Mom and her Mom." Isaac answered. "Now I agree it's just so Mom can be with DJ." Dennis chuckled, adding, "Let me go and get to work, I can reach you through your folks or your cell phone right?" Dennis asked. "That's right. Thanks again for being there for us." Isaac said hanging up and explaining everything to Kat. "I feel so much better already Isaac. Thanks." Kat said hugging him tight, breathing deeply as she listened to the soothing sounds of his heart beating. "Kat do you..." Isaac stopped when he noticed that she had fallen asleep in his arms. "I'll protect you both. They'll never treat you that way again either." Isaac promised kissing the top of her head and holding her tight as he drifted off to sleep. He woke to Kat mumbling. "What's wrong babe?" Isaac asked. "I sprung a leak, I'm drowning. Hun go get DJ for me?" Kat asked applying pressure trying to stop the leaking. "Here you go Mommy." Isaac said delivering DJ with Chele, Tay, Jessy and Zac right behind him. "We were about to come get you. She's been cranky for five minutes or so." Chele reported. "She really let out a holler that I thought would have woke you and the dead." Zac shared. "Zac that's my neice you're talking about." Jessy warned. "Yeah she's my neice too." Zac stated sticking out his tongue. "Real mature." Jessy teased. "Yeah I am." Zac declared and Jessy burst out laughing. "Hey. You've wounded me deeply." Zac complained. "Poor baby." Jessy fussed over him. As Kat finished nursing DJ, "Hun can you burp and change her I'm going to clean up, I'm a leaky mess." Kat asked climbing from the bed grabbing a change of clothes and heading to the bathroom. "Babe?" Isaac called. "Yeah hun?" Kat replied sticking her head out of the shower. "DJ and I are headed out to see the folks since she's wide awake." Isaac explained. "I'll be right behind you, I'm getting hungry." Kat explained finishing her shower, quickly drying and dressing. Kat brushed her hair and put on a pair tennies before heading out after Isaac, DJ, and something to eat. Not finding anyone in the kitchen, Kat headed to the deck assuming they were by the beach. She stood at the top of the stairs looking for Isaac. "Whoa." Taylor remarked grabbing Isaac and pointing at Kat. Isaac rose, staring at his wife along with just about everyone else. When Kat noticed everyone else's stares, she turned to see what they were looking at but noone was there and she couldn't see anything but the house. Kat was totally unnerved by this time, "Isaac?" she barely got out. "Yeah babe, what's wrong?" he replied making his way to her. "Isaac everybody is staring. What did I do?" Kat asked almost in tears. "Oh Kat, don't cry babe. You didn't do anything. Kat you just look so beautiful, we can't help but stare. Don't you know how beautiful you are?" Isaac explained lifting his T-shirt and wiping her tears. "No but it must be stare at you kind because everyone is." Kat said sniffling. "Yeah, you're drop dead stare at beautiful." Isaac chuckled. "You making fun of me, I could kick your ass. I wasn't lying to Ash, I do have a black belt Isaac." Kat warned. "Yeah and a red one, blue one, green one, and even a muti color one." Isaac teased. "Real funny Isaac. I need to get something to eat." Kat said annoyed and when she pushed away from him and looked to see everyone still staring, she broke into tears. turned running and sobbing back to their room. "Kat, babe don't cry. Kat stop." Isaac called running after her. "Kat" Isaac called not seeing her, checking the bathroom, the nursery, "Kat" "Kat where are you?" "Kat" "Isaac what's wrong with Kat?" Chele asked. "Sis?" Jessy called. "You sure she came this way?" Taylor asked. "Yeah. Where else would she go?" Isaac answered. "She loves to run and she had tennies on." Chele suggested. "God she just had a baby. I know she doesn't look like it but she did, I was there. She worked so hard, there is no way she's out running. Man I hope not. Kat." Isaac shared, calling out for her again. "Son what's wrong?" Walker asked. "I can't find Kat. I pissed her off good and now I can't find her. Why did I do this to her? I know how insecure she is right now, I should have been there for her instead of pissing her off." Isaac complained. "Well let's find her, you two check upstairs, you two check down." Walker ordered "Kat" Isaac called out. "Sssh" Walker said straining to hear something, shaking it off like he didn't hear anything. "Dad, Isaac come here." Zac whispered motioning them to the hallway. "What?" Isaac said. "Jessy what's wrong sweetie?" Walker asked concerned over the tears and look on her face. "I think I know where Kat is. Umm remember I told you I was visiting her last summer and I saw her folks rip into her over her decision to model, to move to New York City. I couldn't find her either at first, Isaac I think she's hiding in the closet crying. That's where she always went as a child when they hurt her." Jessy said tears streaming down her face. "That's what I heard son, cries but when I looked where I thought it came from, the closet. Just hold her and love her son. Come on kids." Walker said. Isaac quietly made his way back inside, listening, praying they were wrong. His heart broke as he opened the closet door. Curled in the corner was Kat, who had cried herself to sleep. Isaac carefully lifted her and carried her from the darkness, moving to the bed, sitting on the edge holding her, "Kat I'm so sorry for hurting you and for what they did to you. You must have been so afraid." Isaac explained, shocked as Kat shook her head yes. "Don't let me go." Kat begged hugging him tight. "Never babe, I'll love you forever and a day. I won't let them near you ever again." Isaac promised. "I know they're family and didn't mean nothing by staring but sometimes, I don't think, I just react." Kat explained. "I shouldn't have teased Kat, I know how much you've been through today." Isaac shared. "Isaac I'm fine. I just had a baby is all." Kat argued. "Is all. God Kat I saw how serious and hard you worked to give me DJ. Words can never explain how I felt when I lifted her in my arms. Kat I'd do anything for you." Isaac confessed. "I know you love me Isaac, it's the one thing I am sure of, I love you and you love me." Kat declared kissing him deeply with more love and devotion than they'd ever known before. Isaac led Kat back outside to everyone's relief, "Sweetie we didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. You are just such a lovely vision, we couldn't help but stare as rude as that is." Grampa Lawyer said. "Thanks Grampa. I'm sorry our wedding was so spur of the moment that you couldn't be with us. Isaac has a hard time say no to me. I know he missed your not being there but not as much as Mom." Kat shared. "I got that feeling this morning when she was so shocked to see me. I guess I ought to stick around for a little while." he said. "You better. DJ needs to get to know her great grampa and I wouldn't mind a crack at having a grampa myself." Kat replied hugging him tight while he slipped an arm around her. "Stay it is. My girls need me, all my girls." Grampa said slipping his other arm around his Diana who was carrying DJ. "This kind of attention I like." Grampa Lawyer said as Kat kissed one cheek and Diana kissed the other. "Kat, sweetie you have got to eat to keep your strength up, especially while nursing." Diana explained. "Yes Mom, I'll go right now." Kat said kissing Grampa's cheek again. "High protein foods, lots of them. Here Daddy take your DJ for me so I can take care of our Kat." Diana said watching her father take the baby and smile, as he fussed over her.
