Faith laid still, pretending to be asleep until Isaac's breathing finally began to relax only to become more rapid as he began to toss and turn. The ringing phone ended his restless attempt at sleep, "Hello." Isaac answered. 'Is Faith okay?" Taylor asked. "Yeah Tay. Why wouldn't she be?" Isaac asked. "Man from what Dad said, Mom was down right cruel to her earlier. He said he'd never known her behave the way she did towards Faith. I mean I wouldn't believe it if anyone other than Dad said it Isaac you know Mom, she's, she's, you know she's Mom and I've never known her to say a mean thing to anyone." Taylor shared explaining what their father had told him when asking about Faith. "That explains it. Tay earlier I overheard her talking to Mrs Williams, getting her to cover for her at some meeting tomorrow. She told her Diana Hanson didn't want her there, she was sure of it. Tay, why do you think Mom's behaving this way? I felt she thought the world of Faith, up until I married her. I couldn't believe her earlier, that's why I left and came home. She didn't want to hear it but this is my home now. My place is with Faith and all her fighting it isn't going to change how I feel about Faith." Isaac confessed. "We all know that except for Mom. Dad said you look at Faith like he looks at Mom. You do bro, I know this is so right, it's time. It's Time for you to move on in life with Faith. I'll miss you man." Taylor said his emotions taking over. "Tay I ain't leaving you, we'll always be together, just not in the same room anymore. We'll always be best friends, brothers, Hanson." Isaac insisted. "I know that man. Maybe not with any other woman but with Faith, I can see it happening, us staying together. She loves you so much Isaac, she'd never come between us. Just remind us when we push her too far. You know how we can get man." Taylor shared chuckling, adding, "Your getting married won't change anything between us, but I worry about Zac and I finding someone like Faith." "She's out there waiting for you to find her. Don't give up man." Isaac insisted. "Thanks for reminding me. Well I'll let you go, I was just worried about Faith when Dad asked me if she was all right and then told me what had happened. You know she did sort of disappear into the house and that's not like her." Taylor mentioned. "Yeah right after I overheard her on the phone and asked her about it, I know Tay. I'll make sure she knows how much I love her, don't worry." Isaac said saying goodbye and hanging up.. "Faith. Wake up baby. Faith." Isaac said kissing her head, her cheek, her lips, as Faith finally responded to his touch. "Isaac. What areyou doing awake?" she mumbled as she turned towards him, adding, "Hi husband. So why can't you sleep?" Faith asked wrapping her arms around his neck kissing him sweetly. "For starters, you went to bed without me." Isaac answered. "Hun I'm sorry, but you filled my tummy and I curled up so contented. Sorry. I do love you." Faith shared. "And what about this?" Isaac asked tugging on her nightgown. "I was cold without you to hold me." Faith pouted. "Well I'm here now." Isaac declared pulling at her nightgown. "You don't like me in jammies do you." Faith giggled as he struggled with her gown and she finally sat up to help him. "Now you better? Can you go to sleep?" Faith asked cuddling back in his arms, kissing him tenderly pressing her body to his.. "No. I can't go to sleep until I love you." Isaac pouted. "But you do love me, all the time." Faith insisted. "No I mean I can't go to sleep until I make love to you. I tried and I had bad dreams about you leaving me. Faith let me love you." Isaac pleaded. "Of course you can make love to me. Isaac I would never, I mean, you mean the world to me hun, don't you know that. I don't care how mad I might be, how disappointed, how angry or hurt I might be about something else, you can always make love to me. I love the way you make me feel Isaac. So alive, so loved, so cared for, that's how you make me feel when you make love to me. I'm so at peace." Faith shared kissing him playfully, teasingly. "So you like it too huh?" Isaac asked rolling them over, staring down at her. "I like it lots." Faith answered, kissing him deeply, their tongues dancing until Isaac thrust his tongue farther and farther back filling her mouth as she moaned in anticipation. "Faith why didn't you answer me when I asked what you meant Diana Hanson definitely does not want you there and you're sure about it?" Isaac asked. "What? Oh, I didn't want to talk about it in front of the guys is all, and then I fell asleep before you got here and I could tell you. Isaac I can hardly stand to look at the pain in you're eyes now, I don't want to add to it." Faith shared, gazing at him looking for a sign of his understanding. 'i thought we were in this together. Us, remember, you and me, not you deciding it might hurt me and keep it to yourself and let it eat you up. Let it hurt you so that you hide from me." Isaac insisted. "Yeah you're right." Faith replied sharing what had happened and that she could understand,"Hun I know she's upset and probably doesn't mean it, that's why I didn't make a big deal out of it." Faith shared. "Baby stop making excuses for the rest of us. Faith she was wrong to behave that way and there is no excuse for it." Isaac declared then pleaded, "Please don't let her come between us. Faith don't keep her bad behavior from me at your expense. Baby she just had you hiding from me in our own home." "I won't do it again Isaac, but you can't either. You haven't said a word about what put that pain in your eyes hun and it's killing me to look at it knowing that I'm partially responsible for it being there." Faith replied. "You're right baby, I should have told you what happened earlier. Faith it was nothing I've ever known. I have never seen her that way baby. She was insistent that I stay with them, over and over that I belonged with the family forever. Faith it was unreal." Isaac shared the pain evident in his voice. "I can't imagine how it made you feel." Faith shared caressing his face, then adding as she gazed in his eyes, "I love you so much Isaac and I'd do anything to make this all better and if that means I back off until she can deal with it, it's the least I can do." "Backing off is one thing but the verbal abuse is uncalled for and I don't want you to take it. Promise me." Isaac insisted. "Yes dear, I promise I will not take her abuse but hun I'd rather just stay out of her way." Faith answered. "You are so special. No wonder I love you so much." Isaac said kissing her passionately as his hands caressed her body. "Isaac make love to me." Faith pleaded kissing him deeply. "I still can't get over how much you love me. It just blows me away." Isaac shared kssing her longer and harder, setting their passions free, soaring to heights they'd never experienced before. "Wow. You okay babe?" Isaac asked as he collapsed on top of her, holding her close. "Oh Isaac don't leave me yet. Please." Faith moaned as he started to pull out. "Babe I have to be heavy, there's nothing to you." Isaac argued pulling out. "Fine then get off of me and stay off of me, seeings there's nothing to me. Why do you even put up with me." Faith snapped, immediately apologizing, "I'm so sorry, I don't know where that came from hun. I'm so ashamed. " "Baby don't cry. Faith I didn't mean your being little is a bad thing but baby I worry about you. I am so much bigger, I'm just afraid that I'll hurt you." Isaac confessed. "Isaac hold me while I tell you something about me?" Faith asked as Isaac wrapped her in his arms and held her closely. "Isaac when my parents died, I was out of it for such a long time and finally my life was my violin and boarding schools. You have no idea how many times I was punished for not eating my meals. I wrote so many sentences, 'I will eat my meal.' one hundred times for three meals a day. At first Isaac I didn't understand why I wasn't with them and died with them, it hurt to be alive and alone. So instead of flourishing and changing into a beautiful young woman, I was this stick like little waif who's only saving trait was playing the violin with such passion. I expressed myself through my music and got good, really good and soon I was travelling everywhere playing for Royalty, Heads of States, the Rich and Famous. I kept myself as busy as possible Isaac, I never left time for me, then I didn't think about the fact I was all alone." Faith shared. "Baby I'm so sorry. I wished I'd found you sooner. You're not alone anymore Faith, you have me forever and a day." Isaac confessed holding her tighter. "I know hun. Your love makes everything okay. Losing Momma and Daddy, wanting to die, being alone, even your Mom so upset with us, blaming me for ruining her life, it doesn't matter Isaac, only you matter hun. But all those years I didn't eat took its toll on my body, I just didn't grow and all the fancy doctors Louise kept taking me to, couldn't do anything about it." Faith shared, adding, "A couple of years ago we finally tried the right doctor and he helped me. That's why Mrs G freaked so when I first came home and all the nerves had me barfing again. I'm not unhealthy Isaac, I just had some really rough times when it was crucial for my body's growth so I'm smaller than I would have been and there's nothing I can do about it but accept it." Faith explained. "It's Time, time for me to accept it too. Baby that doctor, do you want to go to him to see what he says about you having our baby?" Isaac asked. "I don't care what he has to say, it's my body and I'm having our baby. That's all there is to it." Faith insisted. "Man you can be so stubborn but I love you. Faith just promise you'll take care of you too. I can't lose you, not even to have our baby." Isaac confessed. "I promise, I love you too much to leave you. Isaac, if you want me to go back to him I will. I'll call the office in the morning. and make an appointment, he's in Chicago, when can't you go?" Faith asked and they laid in each others arms talking about the future until they both fell asleep. The next few days, Isaac went home as much as he could stand leaving before getting angry. Faith made her pressence know, letting Tulsa and the rest of the state know that she was home and was determined to make a difference. She involved herself in running Diamond Industries, and joined the Governor's committee on youth programs and Faith spearheaded an 'OKchild' medicaid program that was warmly received. She made many flights to Washington D.C. lobbying for funds, quite successfully and soon the project was up, running and a great success. The guys started Middle of Somewhere Music Studios and Label and as promised Faith recorded duets with each of the guys and her playing with the Tulsa Symphony. Zac and Tay were constant fixtures in Isaac's and Faith's home, each of them spending more time in town than at home. The girls and Mackie spent a couple of nights per week with Isaac and Faith against Diana's wishes but Walker over ruled her allowing the kids to go. "Babe come to the studio with me, we need to talk to you." Isaac asked entering their room in the middle of the afternoon, finding her asleep. "Faith? Baby you okay?" he asked sitting beside her. "Yeah, I'm okay really okay, see." Faith said holding up a home pregnancy text kit stick indicating they were pregnant. "Don't you think It's Time?" she asked. "Baby you mean we're, there's a, you're pregnant?" Isaac muddled through staring at her. "Yeah Isaac we are and there is a baby in there and yes I'm pregnant." Faith exclaimed as Isaac leaned down and kissed her belly, "Hey baby Hanson how you doing in there. I can't wait until you're all grown and ready to come out and meet us, I'm your daddy and this beautiful lady here, is your mommy. Say something babe." Isaac insisted. "Hey baby, this is your Mommy and your Daddy. We love you and have prayed for you to come into our lives. I, we love you and can't wait for you to grow healthy and strong and come see us." Faith said as she rubbed her belly then stroked Isaac's head as he laid on her belly talking to the baby. "You're going to be such a great daddy. I'm so proud of you Isaac." Faith shared before leaning down and kissing the top of his head. "Bye baby I'm going to go love your mommy now. Talk to you later." Isaac said kissing her belly before rising and pressing his lips to hers so softly, Faith moaned from the tenderness he shared. "I love you Faith. With everything that was going on with my mother I was afraid you'd changed your mind about having our baby now. I was so afraid you would wait until things were right with Mom and babe sometimes I think that will never happen." Isaac shared. "Yeah, I feel the same way at times hun. I was so banking on my being able to have her in my life, to talk to you know. God Isaac I've never been around anyone who was pregnant. I haven't got a clue about any of this. Charles and Louise never could have kids, Momma's dead, none of the few friends I have are or ever have been pregnant. I guess I better get reading. Will you take me to the bookstore later?" Faith asked. "Oh course I will babe. Faith I promise you I'll be here for you through all this. I won't let you down babe." Isaac vowed. "I've never doubted you. You're the reason I wanted to have our baby now. Isaac you so deserve something good in your life. I know I have made your life unbareable at times, I never meant to. I really thought she'd forgive me by now, I was so wrong. It just seems to get worse everytime I try to make peace. I'm sorry Isaac but I can't risk being upset over her for the baby's sake. I plan on keeping my distance until the baby is born. I'm sorry I don't know what else to do." Faith apologized, adding, "I know this makes it harder on you, doing everything twice, with your family then with me. But Isaac I won't risk being upset by her again, not now." "I agree babe, only happy thoughts." Isaac declared kissing her softly again before kissing her belly, "Do you hear me baby Hanson, only happy thoughts. Your daddy says so." "Bossing the kid around all ready huh?" Faith teased. "Yeah and now it's your turn. Happy thoughts only, just remember how much I love you." Isaac said kissing her deeply with such passion. "Isaac I want you so bad, love me." Faith pleaded her hands going wild. caressing his body, his chest, his butt, pulling him onto her. "Don't have to ask me twice." Isaac answered quickly undressing then undressing her before making love to her. As they lay in each other's arms, gazing at each other, "Isaac, I don't believe it." Faith gasped. "What baby? What don't you believe?" Isaac asked concerned. "Isaac the pain in your eyes, it's gone. You look happy again." Faith answered. "Well you gave me something special to be happy about." Isaac explained kissing her belly then her. "Hun what did you want me to come to the studio for?" Faith asked. "Oh no, I forgot all about them. Come on babe get dressed. Shit they're probably having a cow by now." Isaac said pulling his clothes on before helping Faith on with hers. "Umm I think you forgot something." Faith said pointing at her nipples showing through her white tee shirt. "Man you look great that way, maybe a little water." Isaac teased finding her bra on the lamp shade, "Hmm, wonder how that got there." Isaac teased putting it on, kissing each breast before pulling her bra into place and heading them to the studio. "Now what was so important I had to get up from my nap to get dressed and come down here?" Faith pouted, kissing Zac, Tay and Ash hello. "You okay sis? Tired?" Zac asked. "I'm more than okay and no I'm not tired, just being a good girl." Faith answered heading back to him for a hug. "Man something's up. Look at him, I haven't seen him this happy since the night he met her." Taylor said staring at his brother, asking "What is it Ike?" "I am happy, you're right. Faith was the best thing that ever happened to me until today." Isaac answered. "I don't get it, you couldn't love anyone more than you love her." Taylor replied. "You're right but I could love her more." Isaac said taking her from Zac, "I do love you more than I ever thought possible. You've made me the happiest man on earth again." "I'm so happy too. I love you Isaac." Faith shared kissing him deeply. "Get back here, let me look at you." Zac insisted pulling her back to him staring at her, "Oh my God you're pregnant aren't you. Tell me yes." he said waiting for her answer as Faith looked back at Isaac. "Yeah Zac, she's pregnant. We're going to have a baby. You'll be Uncles, Uncle Zac." Isaac answered as the three guys whooped and hollered their joy, hugging Faith then Isaac, congratulating them both. "I'm glad you're happy for us but this stays between us for right now, Mom's off limits. Too much can go wrong in the first trimester and we're not taking any chances." Isaac asked. "Sure no problem. You okay Faith?" Taylor asked. "Yeah I'm okay. A little scared but with all of your help, I know I'll be just fine." she answered. "Anything you need or crave, it's yours sis. Just say the word." Zac shared. "Okay now what did you want to tell me?" Faith asked. "Nothing like your news." Taylor teased and shared the artwork for Middle Of Somewhere, MOS. "This is great, you've got to merchandise guys. I can see shirts, frisbies, CD cases, jewelry, hair scrunchies. The possibilities are limitless, you can make some serious change here." Faith insisted sending the guys chasing another dream. "Isaac?" Faith asked. "Yo man. The wife." Zac said bringing Isaac's attention to Faith, "What babe?" he asked. "Isaac I'm hungry. I want ice cream, lots of ice cream." she giggled, "No I want french fries. No ice cream." Faith waivered. "How about McDonalds for both?" Isaac asked. "I love you. You make everything so much easier." Faith replied making her way to him, kissing him deeply before they all loaded up and Taylor drove them to McDonalds. As they entered, "Isaac I don't feel so good, I need fresh air." Faith said racing out the door. "You okay babe?" Isaac asked racing after her. "Yeah I'm okay out here. Don't tell me I only get drive thru from now on." Faith pouted. "Let's sit over here." Isaac said leading her to a picnic table. "You okay sis?" Zac asked as they approached with the order. "Yeah out here, I guess baby Hanson doesn't care for the smells of McDonalds." she replied sipping her shake and eating her french fries. About half way through her fries, "Oh no." Faith mumbled holding her stomach then putting a hand to her mouth raced inside to the restroom, barely making it before vomitting up her french fries. She washed her face and hands and headed out to find Isaac pacing outide the door, "You okay babe?" he asked the concern in his eyes as he watched for her answer. "The smells isn't the only thing baby Hanson doesn't like. Isaac our baby doesn't like french fries." Faith pouted collapsing in his arms. "Well he's gotta like something. Zac take Faith back outside before the smells start her heaving again." Isaac asked. "Sure. Come on sis, Let's go drink our shakes. The baby has to like shakes." Zac said leading her back out side. "Hey where'd all your fries go?" Faith asked looking around the table. "We decided if you can't have fries, we could do without until you have the baby." Taylor replied. "Oh you guys." Faith gasped before the tears started. "Sis we didn't do it to make you cry." Zac said holding her. "It's so sweet." Faith sobbed. "Here babe, ice cream and cookies." Isaac said sitting beside her, adding, "Wasn't that nice of them to swear of the you know what's until the baby is born." "Whoa watch out. Don't want to get to close to the pregnant one while she's eating." Ash said watching Faith devour her ice cream sundae. "For that I'll take yours." Faith said reaching across the table and grabbing his. "It's all yours. I'm not putting my hand in there." Ash exclaimed as she began on his and as she finished it she moaned her contentment and cuddled against Isaac. "So the baby's happy?" Isaac asked. "Uh huh." Faith said rubbing her belly, then kissing his cheek, "Thanks." "I told you anything and we all mean it Faith." Isaac insisted. "He's right." Zac added. "Anything Faith, just say the word." Taylor shared. "I may not be part of Hanson, but I consider us family so the same goes for me." Ash insisted. "Thanks Ash. Taylor do you know how lucky you are to have such a good friend." Faith exclaimed as they finished up and returned home to work on MOS, to get it up and running. Faith persuaded the board of Diamond Industries to enter the entertainment business, with the conception of Diamond Music Productions, building two factories, one producing the CD's and the other high tech reproduction center, recording the CD's. To handle the legal aspects and the public relations, the group hired Hanson's personal representative, Chris Sabec. In the next issue of MOE, Hanson announced to their fans first that they would be signing on with their own record label, Middle Of Somewhere, announcing it's board of directors and executives with a picture of them all and underneath it, Back row L to R; Walker Hanson, Chris Sabec, Ashley Greyson, Isaac Hanson, Front row L to R; Taylor Hanson, Zac Hanson, Faith Hanson (That's right folks Mrs. Isaac Hanson who is expecting the couples first child due on their one year anniversary. Timed perfectly a month after the completion of the Band's tour.) Isaac pick up the first issues of Moe and headed home. "Mom? Mom you home?" Isaac called out entering the house. "You got me Faif?" Zoe squealed racing down the stairs. "No sis, Faith is at home with the rest of the guys. You want to talk to her?" Isaac asked picking up the phone and dialing Faith, "Hey babe. I'm at Mom and Dad's and Zoe wants to talk to you." Isaac said handing the phone to Zoe. "I thought your father was with you?" Diana asked coming down the stairs. "He is, was. He's at the studio still with the rest of them. I have something I need to tell you and I don't know any other way, so here, page three. They go out next week and I don't want you to find out with everyone else. Faith and I are having a baby it's due on our anniversary. She's still trying to make it easy on me, her birthday, our anniversary and now the baby's birthday." Isaac shared waiting for her reaction. "A baby?" Diana gasped. "Yeah Mom, it's what married people who love each other do, they have children to share all their love with." Isaac answered getting angry at her silence, "Forget it. I shouldn't have bothered." Isaac said turning away, walking to Zoe, "Tell Faith I'm coming home and ask her about our baby?" Isaac said kissing her and heading out the door, slamming it behind him. "Isaac wait. I'm so sorry son." Diana said as she sat on the stairs and cried. "Mommy cry." Zoe shared with Faith. "Maybe you better go and give her a hug okay? Bye bye littlest sister." Faith said hanging up and making her way out of the room unnoticed. "Mrs Goodrich umm.. Charles good, could you arrange for David right away otherwise I'll drive. I'm going to see Isaac's mother." Faith shared. "No Faith. You promised you wouldn't until the baby was born." Mrs Goodrich gasped. Faith explained what had happened and what she'd heard. "Maybe it's time. You think?" Faith asked. "I can't help but worry. Please let Charles go with you or me. But I don't guarantee I won't slap her silly for what she's put you through." Mrs Goodrich declared. "Louise. Dear our little Faith doesn't need our anger she needs our support." Charles demanded. "Yes dear, you're right. Please Faith, for the baby's sake, let Charles take you?" Mrs Goodrich pleaded and soon the two were headed to the Hanson's. "Excuse me ma'am, Charles here and Ms. Faith would like to speak with you ma'am." Charles announced at the gate box. "Faith, here?" Diana asked shocked. "Yes ma'am. She would like to speak to you if that's all right with you ma'am." Charles repled. "Please come in." Diana pleaded as the gate opened. "Girls, Jessie, Avie, Zoe. Faith is here, I'm sure you'd like to see her." Diana called up the stairs. "Me too.Where is she?" Mackie asked rushing from the family room. "She's coming up the driveway now." Diana answered as Mackie raced out the door screaming her name. "Faith. Hi Faith." he called to her as Charles parked and opened her door. "Hey my littlest brother. Mmm what a nice hugger you are. Faith exclaimed trying to unbuckle her seatbelt, adding, "Mackie could you help Charles. Cook sent some goodies for you guys." "Faith you came to see us." Jessie gasped. "Well sort of, I really came to see your Mom." Faith said reaching for Charles hand, getting out of the car. "Faith. Faith look at you. Is it, are you?" Jessie asked touching her belly. "Yeah it is and I am pregnant. Your brother and I are going to have a baby." Faith shared as they all screamed, hugged her and danced. "Well nothing like being excited. I wish your brother was here, he sure could use this about now. Jessie, sweetie, would you call him and tell him how happy you are for him?" Faith asked. "Sure Faith. Don't cry Faith, it'll be okay." Jessie said hugging her. "No me Faif. No cry." Zoe said reaching for her. "Here my Miss Zoe, let me lift you up to your Faith." Charles said picking her up. "No cry." Zoe said hugging and kissing her. "I thought I could do this but I was wrong, Charles, I'd like to go home. Please deliver the..." Faith stopped pointing at the boxes in the back seat before sitting back in the front seat buckling her seatbelt, pulling the door shut after Charles handed a box to Mackie, Avie and Jessie and picked up Miss Zoe, heading to the house. "I'm sorry ma'am, she's not that strong anymore. This is taken it's toll on her trying to hide her disappointment from her husband, not wanting to cause him anymore pain. Cook sent these for the children. I must go." Charles said handing her the last box and placing Zoe beside her. "Charles, do you think she'd come in if I invited her?" Diana asked. "I doubt it ma'am she was crying when I headed this way and she hates for people to see her crying." Charles shared. "It's Time I tried. Please may I?" Diana asked. "Ma'am just so you know, you hurt her and you answer to me ma'am." Charles explained glaring at her searching for her understanding. "Yes Charles, she's lucky to have you to love her so." Diana replied heading to the car. "Faith it was so nice of you to come. I'm sorry you don't feel up to staying, I was so looking forward to talking to you about the baby. I'm so happy for you both. You're so blessed. First to find each other and now this gift." Diana shared reaching and caressing Faith's belly. "Dear could you tell Isaac how truly sorry I am, I guess I was just so afraid of losing him, I drove him away myself." Diana said breathing deeply trying hard not to cry, adding, "And Faith, hopefully, someday you'll be strong enough to stay and visit and you'll learn how truly sorry I am to have treated you like you were ruining my life. Faith I did that all on my own. Why I thought Isaac's marrying you would change things for the worse. You've done just the opposite, made everything so much better in spite of me." Diana shared. "Mom I'm kind of hungry. Do you have any milk and cookies?" Faith asked. "Umm fresh from the Cook, I think. Charles do we have cookies in one of those boxes, our Faith wants milk and cookies." Diana asked. "Yes ma'am plenty of fresh baked cookies." Charles answered. "You heard the man come on." Diana said extending her hand and Faith unbuckled her seatbelt and reached for it, stepping from the car and they made their way inside. "Isaac?" Faith asked calling home. "No sweetie it's Dad." Walker answered. "Daddy is he back yet?" Faith asked. "Yeah he's in the kitchen eating his blues away, where are you?" Walker asked. "I'm with Mom and the kids getting ready to have milk and cookies, want to come?" Faith asked. "Faith Hanson you are amazing. Of course we'll come. Wait right there." Walker said. "Daddy bring cook too, okay?" Faith asked. "Good idea Faith. Wait for us we'll be right there." Walker said loading them all up and quickly heading home.
