Where's the Love

Part 9

"I am so totally out numbered." Jessy squealed as Joe skated up grabbing her by the hand before whipping her out front. "Oh what you complaining about, you have four brothers. This is just everyday to you." Zac called out as she slowed for them to catch up with her. "Oh shut up. Tag, you're it. Everybody scramble." Jessy squealed tapping Zac then racing off. They played hard for almost an hour when, "I gotta rest. Sorry guys." Jessy sighed heading to a bench in the shade. "You okay babe? Want something to drink?" Zac asked following right behind her. "That'd be great hun." Jessy answered then finished as she plopped down on the bench, "I'm okay just a little tired is all." "i'll go get us something to drink and we can take a breather." Zac replied bending down and kissing her sweetly. "She okay Dude?" Danny asked as the three approached. "Yeah she's just a little tired and majorly thirsty." Zac answered heading to the concession stand, adding, "Anybody else want something?" "Something to drink would be great." Danny answered and the other two followed along. "So we tired you out huh?" Danny asked. "Yeah. Nah. Danny promise you won't tell Zac?" Jessy answered. "Don't do this. Dudette Zac is my main man. We've been buds forever. Jessy I don't think I can promise you that." Danny answered, torn by the look of pain in her eyes, adding, "What's the matter Jessy?" "Danny don't tell him okay? That guy. See him. The one in the red shirt, staring over here." Jessy whispered nodding toward the person. "Yeah Jessy. I see him. What about him?" Danny asked moving closer. "Danny he keeps.. I mean it's no accident." Jessy whispered, unnerved by what she was about to share. "What's he done Jessy?" Danny asked moving directly in front of her, blocking her from view. "Danny he keeps bumping into me and touching me." Jessy shared. "He what?" Danny gasped. "it can't be an accident all the time. I mean three of the four times he bumped into me his hand ends up on my breast. I don't think so. He's got me totally creeped out." Jessy complained. "Jesus Jessy why didn't you say something sooner." Danny said skating off to confront the guy. "What's up with Danny?" Zac asked returning with drinks. "It's my fault. I shouldn't have said anything." Jessy said watching as Danny's arms started waving as he started screaming. "What the..." Joe said. "Guys please. He's protecting me, go help him." Jessy pleaded as the offender raised a hand to Danny. Without hesitation the three were at Danny's side and the other guy backed down. "Danny I'm sorry I should have done this myself." Jessy said as she caught up then turned to her offender, "You are a totally creep. If you come near me again I will have the owner call the police and I will press charges against you. I don't know you. I don't want to know you. If you touch me again, I will have you arrested." Jessy said glaring at the guy in the red shirt. "Don't do that. I'm sorry. It won't happen again." the offender apologized. "It better not. And I'm not talking just me. I see you bump into anyone and I'll tell the owner and have you thrown out of here. I think I'll do that anyway." Jessy said standing her ground, staring him down. "You okay babe?" Zac whispered moving close enough that Jessy could feel his strength. "I am now. I should have told you when it happened Zac but I wasn't sure if it was an accident or what the first time and then I just got so mad." Jessy whispered as the realization of what had taken place took it's toll. "I'm asking you to leave without my going to the owner. I think you've caused enough trouble." Zac asked sternly, glaring a the guy in the red shirt as he lightly wrapped his arms around Jessy. "Oh Zac." Jessy sighed covering her face with her hands then turning and hiding in his embrace. "Yeah I'll go." the offender answered, turning and making his way out of the park. "He's gone babe. Jessy why didn't you tell me." Zac whispered. "I didn't want to cause trouble I guess." Jessy answered with a sniffle or two. "Creepo cops a feel and you don't want to cause trouble. I thought you said she had four brothers." Danny teased. "I do." Jessy squealed moving to Danny, finishing while pulling up her sleeve and flexing her bicep, "Maybe I should cause trouble." "Whoa Dudette. Serious bulkage there." Danny squealed squeezing her muscle. "Man Zac look at that muscle. I bet she could whip our butts." Joe squealed. "I'm sure she could. Care to dear?" Zac teased. "Do I gotta? I really don't want to. At least not right now" Jessy pouted. "Nah Jessy. You don't gotta. Right Zac?" Danny pleaded. "Nah babe you can whoop their butts another time." Zac teased leading her back to the bench, sitting before pulling Jessy to his lap. The others sat and they chatted while finishing their drinks. "Ahh. Yuck." Jessy squealed as a small bug flew into her mouth causing her to gag. "You okay babe?" Zac asked patting her on the back. "Noooo. Yuck. Yuck. I swallowed it." Jessy squealed coughing and making faces while the others broke out laughing. "Stop it. You eat a bug then laugh." Jessy pouted. "It's not funny. You okay babe?" Zac asked with a snicker. "Oh yeah I can feel the concern there." Jessy whined. "If you were hungry Jessy I would have bought you something from the snack bar. You didn't have to eat a bug. Man what if it has a family somewhere to support." Danny teased. "Not funny." Jessy squealed leaning his way and shoving him. "Yeah he is." Joe squealed laughing harder. "Not." Jessy screamed leaning his way and shoving hard enough that he pushed Mike off the end of the bench. "Hey I didn't tease you. Why you pushing me?" Mike exclaimed, quickly adding, "Please don't eat me." The four guys were cracking up as Jessy squealed, "It's not funny. Stop laughing." over and over to no avail. "Fine. Laugh at me all you want." Jessy pouted not fighting it anymore. "We're sorry babe. Guys knock it off." Zac insisted. "Sure." Jessy whispered her head hanging. "Look at me babe." Zac said trying to look into her eyes. "No you just want to make fun of me. I didn't want to eat that bug. I mean what a waste of a bug eating. Just think of the bets I could have won eating a bug and I go do it without meaning to." Jessy pouted. "No babe." Zac got out before he snickered then finished before laughing, "We don't want to make fun of you." "Dudette you are a blast. What a waste of a bug eating. Man the way you think." Danny choked out laughing even harder. "You're all right Jessy. You I like." Mike shared. "He's right. You are one cool chick Jessy." Joe agreed. "You okay babe?" Zac whispered. "Uh huh." Jessy whispered shaking her head yes then no. "You want something else to drink? To eat?" Zac asked pulling her closer. "Nah I don't think so. The bug filled me up." Jessy answered laying her head on his shoulder as she felt him fight the laughter. "Ssshh" Zac said to the other guys' laughter fighting hard not to join them. "You okay hun?" Jessy teased. "Uh huh." Zac choked out trying hard not to laugh. "That's good. Your friends are still laughing at me. They're not nice." Jessy teased. "Stop. I can't take no more." Zac choked out laughing heartily before continuing, "She's not hungry. The bug filled her up." "You eat like a bird. Get it. Huh. A bird eats bugs too." Danny cracked up. "Real funny Danny." Jessy said, turning to the others glaring. "Danny how could you." Joe squealed quickly turning his head, hiding the fact he was still laughing. "Yeah Danny." Mike said in an extremely deep voice to sound more serious. "What was that?" Jessy squealed turning to face him. "Oh give it up girl. You are funny. Admit it." Mike insisted as he pointed at her. "Me? Not me. You couldn't mean me. Zac does he mean me?" Jessy teased. "You can't be that blonde Jessy. Yes you. He is pointing right at you. See." Zac choked out continuing from the end of Mike's finger to Jessy. "Oh my goodness he does mean me. I'm funny. I can't believe it, I'm funny. Did you hear? I'm funny." Jessy teased and they all laughed again. "Hmmm is something wrong guys?" Jessy asked seriously, rising and moving away, looking at them as if they'd lost it. "Where you going? Don't look at me that way. You did this." Zac choked out. "We are not crazy. You are funny." Danny hollered causing everyone to stare at the four of them laughing and rolling on the ground. "Sorry. I just don't get it." Jessy answered in a concerned voice. "Not funny Jessy." Zac complained rising and making his way to her side. "Which is it Zac? Funny? Not funny?" Jessy asked. "Oh you..." Zac squealed picking her up. "Zac don't. You'll hurt yourself." Jessy insisted. "Oh you don't weigh nothing." Zac replied. "Tell her Zac. She's as light as a bird. Get it?" Danny choked out. "Man give it a rest." Zac said turning and staring at Danny still rolling on the ground. "Something wrong Danny?" Mike asked rising and staring at him soon joined by Joe. "It was too funny." Danny insisted finally rising from the ground. The five headed out to skate once more, "Now she's cute. Go say hi." Jessy said pointing at a brunette then lightly nudging Danny in her direction. "Nah. I go for dizzy blondes. Like you Jessy." Danny answered. "Okay so who likes brunettes?" Jessy asked skating backwards, squealing, "Put your hand down Zac Hanson." "Just teasing babe. I don't care no more, I got you." Zac answered reaching out and putting his hands on her waist. "I don't know. You were awfully fast with that hand going up." Jessy pouted. "Yeah Zac. What's with that?" Danny teased and the other guys agreed. "You guys are no help. I can put myself in the doghouse, I don't need your help." Zac complained. "I wouldn't put you in the doghouse. I like dogs." Jessy teased, turning and skating away. "Hey. My name is Jessy. You here alone?" Jessy asked catching up with the brunette. "Hi. I'm Carrie. Yeah I live right around the corner so I come here alot." Carrie answered. "Cool. Nice of them to build it so close." Jessy replied. "Yeah it gives me something to do." Carrie shared. "I'm here with my boyfriend and his three friends. Care to join us? They aren't total jerks. Just guys." Jessy asked. "I guess." Carrie said looking in the direction she came from, adding, "That's Zac Hanson." "Yeah. Don't get any ideas, he's my boyfriend." Jessy informed. "No way." Carrie gasped. "Yes way. I'll show you." Jessy said grabbing her arm to slow her down for the boys to catch up. "Zac who am I?" Jessy asked as they neared. "You're so blonde. Your name is Jessy babe. Did you forget?" Zac teased. "I know that. Who am I to you?" Jessy asked turning and skating backwards in front of him. "Man totally blonde. She already forgot you two are going together. Maybe you ought to get her and ID tag. You know with her name, address and the fact that you are her boyfriend." Danny teased. "No way." Carrie squealed. "Way. You don't look blonde." Danny teased. "I'm not. You're a doofus." Carrie said shoving him lightly. "That's what it is. Danny is a Doofus. No wonder I like him." Jessy teased patting the top of his head. "You die Dudette." Danny squealed lunging for her as she raced off. "Kids." Zac sighed shaking his head no before adding, "So it's Carrie. You know who I am. These are my friends Mike and Joe." The four chatted while watching Danny chase after Jessy. "Zac I know Danny is your best friend but I've always wanted my own personal Doofus. Can I have him Zac?" Jessy teased as they neared the group. "You two stop and make nice." Zac insisted. "Noooooo." Jessy pouted. "Nooooo. I want to kill her first. Please Zac?" Danny pouted. "Make nice." Zac insisted again glaring at Jessy. "I don't... oh alright. Danny I'm sorry. You are not a Doofus." Jessy said rolling her eyes. "That's okay Jessy. I don't really want to kill you." Danny moaned turning his head mumbling, "Just murderlize you." "What? Did you hear that Zac? Danny's being bad." Jessy squealed pointing at Danny. "Come here babe." Zac said taking her hand and pulling her closer, finishing, "Skate with me?" "With you? I'd like that Zac." Jessy sighed as he pulled her even closer wrapping an arm around her waist, slipping his hand in her back pocket. "Hey Julie." Carrie called out waving a friend over, adding, "Everybody this is my neighbor Julie. Julie you know Zac Hanson. That's his girlfriend Jessy, Danny, Mike and this is Joe." "Girlfriend. No way." Julie gasped, adding, "Hi guys." "Hey Julie. Yes way and let's just leave at that." Danny said making room for her to skate between him and Joe. "Man I hadn't heard and I'm a big fan of theirs." Julie shared. "Sorry I didn't know I was like suppose to send out announcements." Jessy teased. "Oh yeah. This is big." Julie squealed. "Gees Zac. Does this mean you've never had a girlfriend before?" Jessy asked rolling her eyes. "Not a real one." Zac answered. "Oh. What other kinds are there? Not real?" Jessy teased. "You know the kind everybody says is your girlfriend when she isn't." Zac replied. "What?" Jessy squealed stopping. "Whoa. Watch it woman. Your stop lights aren't working." Danny squealed trying not to plow her over as Zac finally stopped. "Jessy you're going to get hurt pulling a stunt like that. Now what?" Zac asked the puzzled look on her face, taking her by the hand and leading her to the side. "Everybody says?" Jessy asked. "Yeah babe. You know the picture in the magazine of me next to some girl and they say it's my girlfriend. A girl who hangs around all the time so they say she's my girlfriend." Zac explained. "Somebody you pissed off and when you make up everybody says she's your girlfriend?" Jessy asked in barely a whisper, bracing herself for him to say yes. "No. I said she was my girlfriend not everybody. I said so Jessy." Zac replied gently lifting her sad looking face. "Yeah you did." Jessy replied with a sniffle as the corners of her mouth turned up and she began to smile. "Yeah I did Jessy. I say you're my girlfriend, now and forever." Zac agreed leaning closer gently kissing her, adding, "But you knew that." "I just got insecure there. I'm sorry. You're right I knew better. I knew because of this." Jessy said gazing deeply into his warm brown eyes, smiling bigger as he wrapped her in his arms. "Yeah because of this." Zac sighed gazing back at her. After what seemed forever, "Zac promise me someday we will. I want you so bad Zac. I don't think I can go on if you don't promise me that someday will be together." Jessy pleaded. "Yeah babe someday you and I." Zac replied kissing her forehead before dragging his lips down her nose, kissing it lightly before finding her lips and kissing her deeply, whispering, "We'll be one." "That's all I want." Jessy sighed as he pulled his lips from hers and she looked up getting lost in his warm brown eyes again. "Definitely an item. Look at those two. You'd swear they were in love." Julie shared pointing as the group came around again. "That's what it is. He loves her. Knew there was something." Danny shared. "You're right man. It's the way he looks at her. And did you see how he takes care of her, protects her." Mike added. "Yeah you're right. He's a definite goner. That's okay, I like Jessy." Joe shared and they all agreed. On the next lap around, "Give it a break already. Let her come up for air Dude." Danny teased. "Don't listen to him. I don't need any air. I'm fine right here." Jessy teased back. "You are fine and you are right here." Zac teased pulling her into him, caressing her butt. "I love it here." Jessy sighed laying her head on his shoulder, kissing his neck over and over. "You are trouble. Babe we better get going. It's going on nine I think." Zac suggested noticing the lights coming on. "Wow where'd time go." Jessy shared looking up at the lights, adding, "Wasn't it just light out?" "Like I said we better get going." Zac repeated leading her by the hand to the others explaining they were leaving.
