"What's up with him?" Isaac asked entering the studio. "What? Who?" Taylor asked. "Who else. Your best friend who just bit his head off for thinking he'd use the phone. Excuse me, the last I looked we were 3 Car Garage Studios not him." Zac answered as the three looked out to see Ash slam down the phone before laying his head down on the desk. "Whoa. I hadn't noticed until now." Taylor answered. "What do you mean you hadn't noticed. Tay he's been this way all week. You'd think he'd be on cloud nine. His new girlfriend is so fine and really nice too. I got a chance to talk to her at that party. Man if he breaks up with her, I don't care if he's your best friend, I'm going to call her. I'd be happy looking at that the rest of my life." Isaac shared with a sigh. "Hot is the word. Man why my best friend. Why not me?" Taylor complained, quickly adding, "I shouldn't feel that way. I'm really happy for Ash but I hope he treats her better than the others. She isn't like the others, you're right Ike, she's really nice." "I even like her and you know how tongue tied I get around chicks. But not Alicia she was so easy to talk to. We had a blast, she has quite a sense of humor." Zac added. "You're right he should be on cloud nine. He definitely was the envy of everyone at the party. Maybe I'll call her and see what's up with Ash." Taylor suggested. "Smooth moves. I'm calling to check on Ash. Oh you broke up with him, great, date me?" Isaac teased. "Well I don't think Ash is going to tel me what's going on. Especially if she did break up with him, he'll never admit to that." Taylor said pulling out the piece of paper he'd written her number on and dialing. "And you have her number why?" Isaac asked. "She gave it to me and told me to call later this week she has a friend coming in to visit that she thought I'd enjoy meeting is all." Taylor said. "Hello" someone answered. "Hey this is Tay, Alicia?" he replied. "No she can't come to the phone. You've got guts calling. Let me tell you I ever meet that friend of yours, I'll kill him for what he did. You best get him out of town because as soon as she's better I'm coming looking for him and I'm bringing my lil sis to whoop his ass good. Beat up a girl, well we'll show him." Chele said and hung up. "Shit man what did he do now. I don't believe it." Tay said stunned by what he'd heard turning to glare at his best friend. "What? What did he do?" Isaac asked. "I hate to think. Remember Ike when we split and headed home, he was getting pretty wasted. That's the last time I talked to Alicia and she was sort of afraid." Zac shared. "Man Tay what happened?" Isaac asked as Taylor rose and walked to the next room stopping directly in front of his best friend. "Tell me it isn't true?" Taylor asked. "What? What isn't true?" Ash answered. "What did you do to Alicia? I heard you beat her up?" Taylor asked glaring at him. "I don't know. I don't remember. Sometimes I remember her screaming at me to stop but I can't remember." Ash answered breaking down and sobbing. "What do you mean you can't remember? You either did or didn't?" Taylor screamed at him fearing it was true. It went that way for quite awhile, Taylor screaming at him and Ash sobbing back. "What on earth is going on?" Walker asked as he entered the studio. "Someone better answer me." he said glaring at all four. "Dad we're really not sure. Ash says he doesn't remember but when Tay called to find out what was going on, someone told him Ash had beat up the girl he brought to the party Saturday night." Isaac explained. "Ash doesn't beat up girls. Ashley look at me. Ashley what is it?" Walker asked fearing the answer. "I don't remember. Man I was wasted. She pissed me off saying she wouldn't ride with me that I was drunk and headed back to call for a cab. She was going to tell everyone I was too drunk to drive. Me too drunk." Ash answered screaming by the time he was through. "How long has this been going on? Are you boys drinking too? That party was at the Mitchell's, were they even there?" Walker asked demanding answers. "Dad we know you don't need anything to get high on life." Isaac answered. "That's good Isaac, but the fact that you tolerate it in others isn't right. Look what it does. If you consider them friends you should stand for your beliefs." Walker lectured. The five talked, mostly Walker asking questions and the boys supplied answers, many of which he didn't care to hear. "Not one of you are old enough to drink. What were you thinking? The minute alcohol appeared at that party you should have left. Look what can happen. I don't believe this. This isn't the end of this discussion but right now we need to find out what Ash did. How do I find this girl?" Walker asked and Ash finally explained he had just met her, she'd just moved to town. He'd taken her to lunch a couple of times and she worked at Zats. Saturday was the first date. "Man you lied. You said you two were going together, serious. You know I was really feeling sorry for you because she was having such a good time meeting new people. Why shouldn't she, she's new in town and single." Taylor shared, adding, "What else you lying about?" "Ashley you need help son. I'd say you have a definite drinking problem, not able to remember what you've done." Walker insisted. "Maybe it's convenient amnesia. He remembers beating up a girl but isn't man enough to face up to his responsibilities." Zac suggested. "Could be. I don't know. All I know is you've done something unthinkable and you have to make amends for it." Walker shared. "Tay honest I don't remember and I didn't mean to." Ash pleaded for forgiveness. "Don't look to me for forgiveness. You have to face her Ash that's all there is to it." Taylor insisted. "No I can't. She must hate me." Ash sobbed, adding, "Besides she won't talk to me. Won't return my calls. She even returned the letter I wrote her. Whoever answers the phone just cusses me out and tells me she'll kill me if I show my face around Alicia. She said she bought a new ball bat and it has my name on it." "Rightfully so. Her friend does for sure, she said she and her lil sis are going to whoop your ass." Taylor shared, adding, "You disgust me." "Son he doesn't need you condemning him. He needs your love and support. Taylor you've been best friends for as long as I remember. How can you just turn and walk away?" Walker asked. "I don't know. But Dad he beat a girl, a girl, a really nice girl who I can't imagine doing anything that would anger anyone. He beat her. She could be dying for all we know." Taylor said with disgust. "I can't imagine it either Taylor. Ashley whatever possessed you to raise your hand to a woman. You're suppose to respect and adore them not beat them senseless. Is what Taylor said a possibility? Could you have beat her that severly?" Walker asked. "I don't know." Ashley answered. "Then think son. Try hard to remember." Walker insisted as he glanced around the room, adding, "Where's Isaac?" "He's right, or he was right here. Maybe in the John." Zac answered heading to the bathrooms. "Not in here." he called out as he glanced out the window. "Dad his car is gone." Zac shared, making his way back to the others.
