"This is cruel and unusual punishment. Isn't there a law
protecting me. Some summer vacation. Man, Hanson better
deliver. The shit I'm putting up with for front row seats
and backstage passes. I think it would have been easier to
sell my soul." Jessy complained. "You! I used to fall to
sleep a night dreaming of Jordan Taylor Hanson kissing me.
Now I'm afraid to shut my eyes. You ever thought about Jar
Jar kissing you. Yikes. Nightmare city. I can recite this
movie word for word. Star Wars, Episode One, The Phantom
Menace." Chele shared. "What's wrong girls. That time of
the month. This movie is it. The action, the plot, the
villians, the good guy, ummmm." Krystal said. "Give me a
break. If Isaac Hanson would publicly state that he has
never liked Star Wars, you'd sound just like us." Jessy
accused. "Probably worse." Chele added as they heard
Krystal's father call for them. "Daddy P. do you need the
number of a good Shrink? You do know it's tomorrow and you
haven't let us go home yet." Chele asked, looking down to
dust off her uniform. "Yeah Daddy P., I'm a growing kid, I
need my sleep." Jessy pouted as she spun to make herself
dizzy. "Dad this is a little ridiculous, we've been at this for fourteen hours. Why the 12:15am showing? I don't
remember selling tickets for this time slot." Kristina said stopping to watch Jessy spin, her back to her father.
"Girls I really appreciate your doing this so willingly,
and with such colorful complaints girls. I'm sure the
customers appreciate it also. Girls, Girls." he said loudly to get their attention. "Yes Daddy." they answered in
unison and looked up to see Hanson standing behind him.
"Now girls, don't scream, don't cry, don't even think of
wetting yourself." he warned. "Breathe girls, breathe." he
ordered. "Dad that's Hanson. You should have told us, this
is so not fair." Krystal said. "Whoa dizzy is cool. Hey
sis, I spun so fast I see two Zacs. Way whacked. What an
imagination I got." Jessy laughed. "Yes Jessy, you should
only be seeing one, not two Zacs." Chele said. "You know I
thought you said I should be seeing Zac. Sis I didn't see
you spinning. Must be too much popcorn. Excuse me Zac,
Daddy, I'm hungry." Jessy said and her eyes got big. "It's
okay baby, don't scream. You're doing just fine. He's an
ordinary guy, treat him like all the rest." he said. "God
no Jessy, treat him better than that." Chele said. "Yeah he doesn't need his little heart broken in two, Miss
Heartbreaker." Kristina said. "Daddy why are they so mean
to me? I didn't do it on purpose. I didn't even want his
stupid heart anyways. I certainly didn't give him any
reason to think I did, maybe they did. Besides it was my
job to seat him, that's what you underpay me to do seat the patrons. Is is my fault he couldn't sit still. I tried to
get them to take him off my hands but no, he's so fine
Jessy and he wants you so. They were mean to me Daddy, just cuz I didn't want mr. he's so fine." Jessy pouted resting
her head on his chest. "Now now. It's okay Jessy. Girls is
this true? You're suppose to be protecting your little
sister not fixing her up! Goodness, Gracious what would her mother say. She'd ream me good! Now apologize and don't let it happen again." he ordered. "We're sorry Jessy. We won't
try to fix you up any more." Chele and Krystal said in
unison. "You're love life will remain non existent Lil
Sis." Chele said. "Far be it from me to point out the finer things in life and he was fine." Krystal said watching
Jessy stick out her tongue at the girls. "Dad look at her!" Krystal shouted as Jessy smiled a devilish smile and then
returned to a hurt puppy dog face. "See Daddy they just
pick on me like all the time. Ohhh." Jessy sighed. "It's
okay baby. Why don't you take the boys in and let them
decide where to sit. Boys would you like anything? I can
have the girls bring it to you." he offered. "If you don't
want fountain sodas, I have a six pack of Dr Pepper in the
fridge." Jessy offered. "Cool." Zac said and Jessy headed
into the back room as they told Chele what they wanted. "We can carry them in, Chele wasn't it?" Taylor asked. "Yeppers that's me, Chele." she smiled handing him the boxes of
candy while trying so hard not to faint. As he picked them
up he dragged his hand across hers staring deeply into her
eyes. "Be cool Chele, don't scream and scare him off.
You'll never be able to wash that hand again." Chele
thought to herself. "I'll make fresh popcorn and bring it
to you guys Tay, this is old. It only takes a few minutes." she explained. "That'd be nice Chele, see you inside then?" Taylor said heading to his brothers. "Inside yeppers."
Chele said starting the batch of popcorn as Kristina walked up to her. "Oh my god. He touched my hand." Chele whispered trying not to scream. "Which one, does it show? Let me
see." Krystal squealed softly. "Oh god it looks wonderful. Oh Chele, he looked at me. I almost died. He looked right
at me and smiled. God I don't remember what I did. I can
only remember his eyes." Krystal whispered reaching out
for Chele's hand. "Don't touch it. No one will ever touch
it." Chele said pulling her hand back. "Ssssh" Krystal
said. "Ooops." Chele said putting her hand to her mouth and giggling as they looked to see if the guys heard. Isaac and Taylor had their eyes glued on the two. "Here it is, nice
and cold. Why didn't you guys bring some friends along?"
Jessy asked. "It is kind of late Jessy." Zac said. "Yeah it is. I just royally bitched about it." Jessy confessed. "We
heard. Cruel and Unusual punishment was you wasn't it?" Zac asked. "Oh God how embarassing." Jessy said turning red.
"Jessy we'll do our best not to disappoint you. Where are
you sitting?" Zac asked. "Row 7, seats 1,2,3 that'd be on
your right." Jessy said. "I'll see you backstage too,
right?" Zac asked. "Yeah, I shouldn't have bitched.
Krustal's Dad sure went all out for us." Jessy said. "He's not your father?" Zac said. "Did I hear you right?" Isaac
asked. "What?" Taylor asked. "Boy long story short, Not
biological sisters. Hanson sisters, we met in Hanson chat
and clicked, me and Chele, wow since forever it feels,
three years and we spend summers together, and Krystal
found us a little over a year ago. See you guys do more
than write awesome music, and sing better than any other
living soul." Jessy laughed. "This in my opinion is the
best seat in the house unless you want to go upstairs, but
I prefer to watch it straight on." Jessy explained. "These
are fine." Isaac said sitting in the middle seat and
stretching out. "Guys do you have a problem with my
changing back into real clothes?" she asked. "Nah Jessy."
Taylor said and Isaac agreed. "I don't know I think you
look cute." Zac teased. "Fine" Jessy said. "Jessy I was
only teasing, put on your grubs if you want. Whatever makes you happy." Zac said touching her hand. "Thanks Zac. That's awfully sweet of you." Jessy said and kissed his cheek
without thinking. "Oh I'm sorry Zac. I guess I wasn't
thinking." Jessy apologized turning red. "It's okay Jessy.
It was nice." Zac said smiling. "Hey sis where is Daddy?
I'm going to see if I can get out of this uniform. I asked
the guys and they don't mind." Jessy explained walking down the aisle and shining her flash light at the booth. "What
baby?" he asked. "Daddy the guys don't mind if we change
out of our uniforms. I sure would like it to air out before I have to get back in it tomorrow, ya know." Jessy asked.
"Sure baby." he said. "Thanks Daddy. You're the greatest.
Thanks again for the ticket and pass." Jessy said racing to the back room along with her sisters. "Oh god I kissed him
on the cheek. It was wonderful." Jessy swooned. "He touched my hand." Chele said pretending to faint. "He asked me to
sit and watch the movie. I got to get back there." Krystal said dressing quickly and racing back with Chele on her
heels. "Come on Jessy" they said. "Go ahead I'll be there." she said. "You look more comfortable now." Isaac said.
"Yeah, thanks for being okay about it. I think if I had
asked, Dad would have said no, but Jessy twists him around
her little finger." Krystal laughed. "She has a way about
her." Isaac agreed. "You two be careful that's my baby
sister." Chele warned looking for her. "Where is she?" Zac
asked. "She said she'd be here." Chele answered. "I'm going to look for her." Zac said. "Wait. Did you hear the side
door." Chele asked. "Yeah but who would be." Krystal
stopped seeing Jessy peek out the curtain and dash up the
aisle. "I felt bad that I had pop for Zac because I like
his favorites so I ran and got you this." Jessy said opening her jacket. "And they're cold. Water for Taylor and Sis. Coke for Big Sis and you get a choice, Mt Dew or the Dr P, I think you like both and so do I." Jessy smiled. "You're a nice kid." Isaac said pulling her to his lap. "And you're a neat big brother." Jessy laughed. "I'll do the Dew if you don't mind." Isaac said. "Nope I'll share with Zac." Jessy said handing him the Mt Dew and getting up and moving towards Zac. "I probably shouldn't stay, I might bother you. I've seen this seven times today and it's not my favorite right now." Jessy explained. "You won't bother me Jessy. You not being here, that would bother me." Zac said taking Jessy by surprise. She was lost in his warm brown eyes with her Jacket off one shoulder, she had stopped removing it, fixed on his eyes. "I'll do that." Zac said sliding her jacket off and placing on the back of the seat in front of them. "Jessy will you stay and watch it an eighth time with me." Zac asked. "Only if you promise to be honest if my behavior gets too bad, you'll ask me to go
instead of letting me ruin it for you." Jessy asked. "I'll
try, I can't promise though Jessy. What if I really rather
watch you cut up, over the movie." Zac said. "Oh a
realist." Jessy said shaking her head. "You might think so
one of the times you are totally frustrated with me. I tend to go outside the lines, march to a different drummer, dream the impossible." Jessy laughed shaking her head again as Zac took her hand, "Stay?" he asked. "Sure" Jessy smiled moving to his right and taking a seat. The six sat through
the movie. Jessy fell asleep about mid point and Zac gladly wrapped an arm around her to keep her from bobbing about.
It was decided everyone would go to breakfast and then the
guys would drop the girls off at home. "Jessy wake up it's
time for breakfast." Zac whispered kissing her forehead.
"No, no more. I'm tired." Jessy said. "Well Zac, what were
you doing in the dark." Chele teased. "Jessy wake up. Tell
them I didn't do nothing." Zac pleaded. "Zac what's the
matter. They being mean to you?" Jessy asked kissing him
sweetly. "It'll be okay Zac." she added. After convincing
Daddy, the six headed out to find breakfast, The Phantom
Menance was the topic of conversation.
