Look At You

Part Fifty-five

"You're coming in right?" Jessy asked as the four made their way back to Tulsa to face Grampa Lawyer. "Don't have a choice sis, Grampa insisted." Taylor answered. "I didn't mean to get you guys in trouble. I know you did this because of me." Jessy replied. "What do you mean? You didn't get married Ike and Mon did." Chele asked. "Yeah but.. I just feel like you weren't sold on this until I said I was going. Like I said you did it to please me." Jessy explained. "Sis don't feel that...." Chele started to reply but suddenly was deep in thought. "See, like I said you guys went along with it to please me." Jessy replied turning towards the window. "Babe that's not true." Zac said trying to comfort her. "Really Mr. 'How can he marry her, he just met her'?" Jessy asked, then explained, "Zac I wasn't eaves dropping. I had to use the bathroom and overheard the two of you talking. I think you said, 'I don't care, I'm not letting Jessy out of my sight. If she's going, I'm going'. Right hun?" "Yeah I said that but Jessy now that I've seen him with her again, Man, I don't think I've ever seen him happier, no not happier. Maybe it's contented. Nah, he seemed so at peace with himself." Zac shared. "Yeah you're right Zac, he is at peace with himself. Not worried about a zit, curly hair, nothing. He likes himself and adores her." Taylor added. "Yep this is meant to be." Zac insisted, adding, "So if this is your fault babe, you done good." "You butt. I love your butt so." Jessy teased slipping onto his lap and kissing him playfully. Zac kissed her back passionately and soon the two were moaning each others names as Zac laid Jessy down on the seat and climbed on top of her. "I want you so bad babe." Zac confessed. "Talk about meant to be." Chele commented. "I agree with you there baby so I'm not going to tell them we're home, you can." Taylor said as he turned onto his grandfather's street. "I'm not telling them I see Grampa's house. You do it Taylor." Chele insisted. "Not me babe. They'd chew me a new one if I told them we were turning into the drive. You know I like my butt the way it is." Taylor said. "Mmmm I like your butt the way it is too." Chele moaned causing Jessy and Zac to burst into laughter. "Lights still on." Taylor shared, adding, "Ready for a Grampa chewing?" "Just stick near Jessy, he won't say a word." Zac said. "Hey I didn't think of that. You're right Jessy's safe, he won't yell around her." Taylor agreed. "I am not safe. What are you talking about? I am not safe!" Jessy argued but the look in Zac's eyes told her to believe what she had heard. "Zac? It's true isn't it. Grampa walks on egg shells around me. Anything to not upset me. Oh Zac I don't believe this. That's why he didn't say anything when I got into your Grandmother's things. I mean at first I thought he was going to let me have it, the look in his eyes. I should have known by your reaction when I asked you about them. You almost freaked out, so worried I was upset or hurt. Grampa's just like the rest of you, babying me, treating me with kidd gloves because you feel bad about what you did. This sucks." Jessy sighed staring at the house. The silence was deafening, "Jessy where are you going?" Zac asked as she bolted from the car making her way into the house. "Grampa. Grampa where are you?" Jessy called out as she entered the house. "Sweetie what's wrong? I'm in the kitchen." he answered. "Grampa is it true? Are you afraid to upset me, to yell at me?" Jessy asked making her way to him. "I don't understand. Jessy what are you asking?" Grampa asked, adding, "What's wrong baby girl?" as he took her in his arms. "Oh Grampa did you ask me to stay here because you felt bad about what happened? You know about not telling me what was going on with Tony. I thought you asked me to stay because you liked me." Jessy asked as she began to cry. "My Lord child what on earth would make you ask such a thing. Baby girl I don't like you, I love you. You make me smile just being you. I asked you to stay because you make life worth living for this old coot." Grampa answered. "Oh Grampa I love you too." Jessy whimpered. "Don't cry baby girl." Grampa comforted as the other three made their way into the room. "Zac what is this about?" Grampa asked. "I'm not sure Grampa." Zac answered. "Oh Grampa Zac doesn't know. I mean I just now thought that was what was going on, so he wouldn't know Grampa." Jessy explained. "You okay babe?" Zac asked. "Yeah Zac I'm fine now. Grampa loves me." Jessy shared. "Oh we all knew that." Taylor responded. "Yeah it's written all over his face. See it says I love Jessy. Just like Zac's face." Chele teased. "Oh yeah I see it now." Jessy teased, adding, "I'm sorry Grampa." "This has all just been too much hasn't it?" Grampa asked hugging her tight. "Yeah Grampa. I never would have made it without them though. You know Grampa, the guys did what they did for me. Zac can't say no to me right now and I sort of used that. I really think Mon is good for Isaac you know and when I decided to go to their wedding, I knew Zac would. I think Sis went for the same reason, me." Jessy explained. "You think so huh?" Grampa asked. "Yeah Grampa." Jessy sighed. "So is this true boys, you went because of Jessy?" Grampa asked. "At first Grampa but you know now I think Jessy was right. Man I haven't seen Isaac this way since Gramma died. Remember how the two of the would be so happy just being together. Not a care in the world as long as they were together. Well he's that way with Mon Grampa." Taylor explained. "He's right Grampa. He seems so at peace with Monica." Zac added. "I can't wait to meet her now. So this is meant to be huh?" Grampa asked. "Yeah Grampa, Isaac and Monica are meant to be like me and Jessy." Zac answered. "Well you two are a definite meant to be." Grampa shared. "Grampa what is this mess?" Jessy asked looking at the counter. "Well I was hungry." Grampa confessed. "Oh my poor Grampa. Wy don't I make us something to eat." Jessy offered. "I'm so glad you're home. I'd love it." Grampa answered kissing the top of her head. "Give me a hand Sis?" Jessy asked and the two cleaned up his mess and fixed something to eat while Grampa, Taylor and Zac sat the table. Over dinner, "Grampa remember you said you'd do anything to help me?" Jessy asked. "Yeah sweetie. What can I do for you?" Grampa asked. "Well Grampa you know I love Zac more than anything, and I need your help. I need to make things right with his folks. I know they must blame me. I need to make them understand I didn't mean to hurt Zac." Jessy shared as tears filled her eyes. "I think they know that baby girl." Grampa replied slipping an arm around her. "Well I want them to hear it from me. Can you help me Grampa?" Jessy sniffled. "How about lunch tomorrow? Do you think you can handle the two of them here for lunch?" Grampa asked. "That'd be great Grampa, I feel safe here." Jessy answered. "Well that was a delicious meal girls, I thank you. I think I'll head to bed and call Diana and make this happen." Grampa said and they all said their goodnights. "Did that just happen?" Taylor asked. "What happened?" Chele asked. "Grampa didn't chew us out did he?" Taylor asked. "Nah. I think he forgot." Zac answered. "Do you want me go remind him?" Jessy asked rising as if she'd go get him. "No Jessy." Zac squealed grabbing her and pulling her to his lap. "But Taylor missed not being chewed out Zac." Jessy teased. "Yeah babe he did. But if you remind Grampa just to make Taylor happy, he's going to remember he didn't chew me a new one." Zac explained. "Oh we can't have that. I like your butt the way it is." Jessy moaned. "Is it safe to come in?" they heard. "In the dining room." Taylor called out. "You two look okay, what Grampa not home?" Isaac asked. "Hey Sis, I mena Mrs Sis." Jessy teased. "Hey. How'd it go? Isaac is so uptight about his Gramdfather." Monica explained. "Well he can't wait to see you. Come on let's see if he's still awake." Jessy said taking her by the hand and heading to Grampa's room. "Grampa you sill up?" Jessy asked rapping on his door. "Yeah baby girl. Who is this lovely young lady?" Grampa asked opening the door. "Grampa this is your newest granddauhter, Monica, Isaac's wife." Jessy introduced as the two hugged and were soon in a deep discussion. Noticing the phone on the nightstand, "Mom?" Jessy asked. "Oh sweetie how are you?" Diana asked. "I'm getting better everyday Mom. Thanks about understanding I need Zac here. I don't think I could have come back without him Mom." Jessy explained. "Yeah sweetie I know. I'm grateful you've made it to Daddy's. I was so afraid we'd lose him." Diana gasped. "Mom? Mom you there?" Jessy asked. "Hey sweetie. Mom's having a hard time right now. How are you baby?" Walker asked. "I'm okay Daddy. Daddy I didn't mean to hurt Zac. I just didn't know what else to do. Nobody would talk to me. I guess when Zac went along with the rest of you, I just couldn't face it, so I ran." Jessy explained, adding, "I understand Zac did what he did out of respect for you two not because he doesn't love me." "Oh baby he does love you." Walker replied. "I know Daddy but I want things to be like they were. I don't want Zac angry with himself because he respected you and did what you asked." Jessy shared. "I don't know how to tell you this baby but things will never be the same. You see the night you left, Zac let us all know that you were his business, his life, and you would always come first. That's when he found you had run away. He went to your room to tell you what was going on." Walker shared, adding, "So things will never be the same baby." "Oh Daddy he'so wonderful. I love him so much." Jessy sighed. "Yeah you do and we are so grateful that you do. So we'll be seeing you tomorrow right? You do know that Dad called and invited us to lunch right?" Walker asked. "Yeah Daddy I know. I asked Grampa to help me face you. How's Momma and Daddy, I mean Ken." Jessy asked. "Your Momma is just beautiful. Pregnancy suits her fine. I worry about Ken though. He is beating himself up over this Jessy. Sweetie I didn't mean to make you cry. Oh I wish I was there so I coul hold you." Walker explained. "We'll be together tomorrow Daddy. I gotta go Daddy. I need to find Zac. Bye." Jessy said placing the phone back where it was before finding her way back to Zac. "You okay babe?" Zac asked as she made her way to his lap, hugging him tight. "I wlll be now." Jessy answered burying her face in his chest. "You left Mon alone with him?" Isaac asked. "And why not? Oh Isaac I love your grandfather." Monica shared as she entered the room. "Okay who are you and what did you do with my wife?" Isaac asked. "Hey you talking bad about my Grampa?" Monica asked. "Hey you. Yeah you. You dissing my Grampa?" Chele asked pointing at Isaac. "Yeah you bad mouthing my Grampa?" Jessy asked, lifting her head from Zac's chest. "What is this some sorty of Grampa Lovers Club?" Isaac asked. "Yeah." the all answered with a giggle. "Well not to spoil anybody's fun, but you my dear are going to bed. Don't bother to argue." Zac said carrying her to their room. "Zac what's wrong?" Jessy asked as Zac laid her down, kissing her desperately, pulling at her clothes. "I want you baby." Zac shared unclasping her bra and pushing her tee shirt up as he lowered his lips to her breast. "Zac." Jessy squealed as her body reacted to his advances. "Zac." Jessy moaned as he fumbled with the zipper of her jeans before pushing them down over her hips. "Babe you are so beautiful. I love you so much." Zac confessed as he finished removing her clothes and began ripping at his. "Zac what are you doing?" Jessy asked. "I need you babe. Let me love you?" Zac asked kissing her passionately as he fumbled with his zipper. "Oh Zac I've wanted you for so long but I can't let you do this. As much as I want you Zac, I'm so afraid if I let you do this, you'll regret this tomorrow." Jessy insisted wrapping her arms around him hugging him tight, whispering, "Please Zac don't." "I don't believe this." Zac moaned pushing away, collapsing on the other side of the bed. "Zac you okay. Don't hate me please. I'm sorry." Jessy asked desperately. "Oh babe I don't hate you. Don't cry. I'm sorry Jessy." Zac pleaded taking her in his arms holding her tight until she finally fell to sleep.
