As the limo made it's way to Grampa's, "Okay spit it out. Somebody tell me what's up." Jessy asked and when she received no reply, she picked up the phone. "Dave this is Jessy would you please stop I'd rather sit up front with you if you don't mind. They can't talk about me if I'm here." she said. "Baby don't." Zac said as Jessy put her hands over her ears and sing, "The day that I left Lucy. A tear fell from her eye. Now I don't have nobody, and I was such a fool. On the day that I left Lucy. The day that I left Lucy she cried, then said goodbye. Now it's done, and it's over, and I am all alone. On the day that I left Lucy. Now I don't have anymore songs to sing. 'Cause you were everything, everything to me. I didn't realize I felt this way, until that day. Today I'm missing Lucy, and you say that she's OK, I hope she is. Now I don't have nobody and no one will ever replace. My Lucy I love Lucy, Lucy. On the day that I left Lucy...my Lucy." The limo stopped and Dave opened the door and Jessy got out without raising her eyes from the floor. "Jessy." Zac called. "Zac let her go." Ken said. The limo arrived at Grampa's with the music blaring and Jessy's back to the window. The limo finally pulled away and headed home. "Sorry Dave." Jessy said turning down the volume. "What?" Dave said taking out the ear plug and Jessy laughed. The minute the limo hit the driveway Jessy was out of the car, running to her room, slamming and locking the door behind her. She ditched the formal dumping it on the floor in her closet. Everytime she started to cry she would throw something on the floor in the closet and slam the door. She dressed in black jeans, sneakers, and tee shirt. Grabbed her backpack threw in some clothes, grabbed all the cash she had. Jessy powered up the web and wrote to Chele "Sis I can't stand this. When I looked at you and you were hiding your face in Taylor's chest I knew you knew and nobody was going to tell me. You were my last hope. When Daddy told Zac to let me go I figure hey why not. I'm outta here. Love you alway, sis." Jessy copied the letter she sent to Chele and forwarded it to Zac with a short note. "Why did you let him come between us? Jessy". She reached under her bed and pulled out the fire escape ladder and took it to the window. Jessy turned off her lights and pulled the screen from her window attaching the ladder and lowering it slowly. She slipped on her backpack and made her way down the ladder. She made her way in front of the house and stopped to the hear the arguing in the living room but couldn't make out anymore than Zac was really angry. Jessy made her way to the garage, pushing in the code and making her way to the cabinet in the back opening it and reaching under the bottom shelf for the the magnetic box that held her spare key. Retrieving it, she closed the cabinet and made her way to her car, tossing her back pack on the passenger seat and slid behind the wheel, started the car and hit the garage door opener. She backed out, quickly slipping into neutral to turn off her back up lights. When the car had cleared the garage she closed the door, shifting into drive, pulling out of the drive way and heading down the street without lights. Once she had cleared the Hanson's house Jessy gunned it and drove away down the street still in darkness. She finally flipped on her lights and headed to the interstate, heading east. Before she even realized she was on the run she had left Oklahoma and was headed north through Missouri. After beng on the road an hour Jessy decided she would leave the interstate for secondary routes through the state and pulled into a filling station in a small town, filling the car and picking up a map and some munchies. She looked over the map and sipped her bottled water as the police car pulled in next to her. "Officer do you have a minute?" she asked then asked for help finding another route explaining the inter state was boring. He explained the route an wished her safe travels. Jessy was back on the road and heading north through Missouri towards Illinois. As she entered Illinois she realized where she was headed and it wasn't back home. She pulled in front of a restaurant called Round Lake Diner and parked. Jessy powered up her laptop and e-mailed Monica but got no reply, she pulled up her addy file and wrote her number on her palm and headed in to eat and use a phone. She left a message on the her machine and looked for her name in the phonebook jotting down the address. She chatted with the waitress getting directions before she headed out. Jessy drove by the address on her hand and remembering a past conversation she drove three blocks east. When she found only houses, she doubled back and drove three blocks west and found businesses. She drove up and down the street until she found the pet store and parked. She headed to the store and entered the front door looking for Monica. Even though they had never met face to face, Jessy picked her out almost immediately. As she stared, Monica noticed her. "I know you don't I?" she asked. "Yes and No." Jessy answered. "Hmm I know you but I have never met you right?" Monica said. "Yeppers" Jessy said, adding. "So who's it now? Brandon, Chris or Tony?" Jessy asked. "Jessy?" Monica asked. "Yeah Mon" Jessy said as she raced her way and they hugged. "Lil sis what are you doing here? Oh baby what's wrong?" Monica asked. "Damn I wasn't gonna.. be right back." Jessy said making her way to her car and kicking her tire repeatedly before returning to tell her, "I don't know what's wrong no one will freaking tell me. Not even Chele, Mon. Somethings wrong and no one will tell me and when Zac tried too, Daddy told him to let me go and he did. You I up and freaking left. Now that can't tell me even if they want to cuz I ain't there to kick around no more." Jessy said closing her eyes and turning away to hide the tears. "Don't give me your tuff girl attitude. I know you're hurt. God Jessy you've left Zac. I can't believe it, I know how much you love him Sis." Monica said hugging her. "Here sis take this, it's the key to our place. Go home and do whatever, soak, shower, pig out, sleep. I'll be home in a little under three hours and we'll figure this all out okay?" Monica said. "I am a little tired I guess." Jessy said and Mon told her where to park, which apartment and everything. "I love you for being here for me sis. I don't know who else would have understood." Jessy said hugging her and heading home. She backed into the garage to hide her Oklahoma plates and made her way to the second floor apartment. She entered and nosed her way around then began picking up and straightening things. Jessy did up the dishes, wiped things down and swept the floors. She grabbed her backpack and placed her laptop on the coffee table in the living room and headed to the room Mon had told her would be hers and unpacked the rest placing it all on top of the dresser. She headed back to the living room and powered up using Mon's server pulling the dial up number from her screen. Jessy checked for messages and gasped to see the screen filled mostly by Zac with two or three from Chele. Jessy raced to the bathroom and emptied her stomach. She washed her face, rinsed out her mouth and stopped to change her clothes. She returned to the living room in boxers and a tank top, determined to get through this. She pulled up the first message Chele had written her. "Sis please if you are ready this come home now so we can keep you safe. IT'S NOT SAFE OUT THERE. please come home. I love you and miss you Big Sis." "So it's not safe out there. Why not? You forget to tell me it all." Jessy said to the screen. The second message read, "Sis please let me know you're okay. Love Sis" and the last message read. "Sis this is killing Zac you have to come back at least for him. Love and miss you. Tell me you're K? Love Sis." Jessy made another beeline to the bathroom emptying an already emptied stomach. After rinsing her mouth she stumbled to her bed and collapsed. "Jessy. Hey sis" Monica called as she entered the apartment. She noticed the laptop and walked towards it then noticing Jessy sprawled across the bed, out. She looked at the screen and read the message. "Poor sis." she mumbled as she read all the messages. She collapsed onto the couch crying as she reached for her address book and dialed the number under Hanson hoping they would pick up again. "Hello you haven't reached Hanson's Hotline cuz it'z not working yet." the voice said. "Zac? Zac? You sound as bad as Jessy looks." Monica said."What? Wait don't hang up it's me Zac did you say as bad as Jessy looks? You've seen her? Is she okay? God let her be okay." Zac rattled off. "Chill. God I don't remember what question was first. I'm looking at her Zac, man she's in a bad way. I'm not sure I just got home but I think she may have passed out. Is she okay. Yeah she's freaking fine, how do you expect her to feel? Well I only called to tell you she's safe, with someone who loves her and will take care of her. Hey and you tell Chele I've got a bone to pick with her. She's her Sis and that's suppose to mean something." Monica said and hung up. "Nooooo don't hang up." Zac yelled as his heart broke all over again.
