Look At You

Part Two

"I'm in here. Just make yourselves at home." Barbie hollered from the kitchen. "Gorgeous house. Walker you have to see this." Diana said. "House Tour if you're interested" Barbie hollered after she had whistled. "How did you do that. I wish I could. Sometimes I feel like I talk until I'm blue in the face." Diana said and Barbie taught her the trick to getting everyone's attention. "Perfect. You keep practicing and soon yours will be as loud as mine." Barbie said. "You had to go show her." Zac complained. "Come on everyone." Barbie said taking them on a tour of the house. "This is my Chele's room. She's driving her way out from West Virginia. She turned 18 and they can't make her stay. She can finally live wih me. I can't wait. Here this is her, my Jessy and myself last winter. I took them to the Bahamas for her graduation present." Barbie said as they passed around the picture. She kept an eye on Taylor and her heart leapt when his eyes bugged out. "Hey Ma which blonde is which?" Zac asked. "I was hugging my Chele and hugging me is my Jessy. It was girls night out, Ken took the boys deep see fishing and they were beat, fell asleep during dinner actually." she explained watching the boys stare. She led them backdownstairs, "Zac, Taylor go get your suits on." Diana told them. "Finished let's enjoy the pool." Barbie said as Ken came through the front door. "Hey hun. How was school?" she greeted him with a kiss and hug. "Fine hun. Our neighbors?" Ken asked slipping an arm around her walking to the other room. "Walker, Diana Hanson, I'd like to introduce my husband, Ken." Barbie said. "Nice to finally meet you and congratulations. I adore your wife, we both do." Walker said. "Me too." Ken answered hugging his wife."Hun we were just about to go in the pool, join us?" Barbie asked. "Me miss a chance to swim with you, never. If you'll excuse me I'll go change. Make yourselves at home." Ken said heading up the stairs. "Let's go before the little ones get upset with us. Zoe pool proof?" Barbie asked. "No not to keen on the yet." Diana answered. "If you don't mind, I'm sure I can convince her to love the water." Barbie offered. "Please I have to keep such an eye on her I don't get a chance to enjoy myself." Diana said and Barbie introduced herself to Zoe and soon the two were best buds and Zoe was in the water having a blast. Next she learned to dive in and swim back to the edge and hold on. Ken joined her and was instantly in love with Zoe who felt the same. Walker and Ken took over with Zoe and Diana and Barbie lounged. "What's the matter Mackie?" Barbie asked. "I can't do that." he answered pointing at Sam,Josh, Zac, and Taylor flipping off the diving board."Oh that, that' easy. Can I show you?" she asked and knelt beside explaining and then suddenly she flipped into the pool, climbing back out and talking him through it, time and time again. "You keep practicing and I'll show you off the diving board little dude." Barbie said walking to the chair next to Diana shaking like a dog. "You're terrible, but I like you anyway." Diana said tossing her a towel as Isaac made his way over. "Son I'm glad you came. Our neighbors, Ken and Barbie, Nick, Ben, Josh and Sam, the three girls aren't here now." Walker said. "Girls. thank you thank you." Isaac said. "You're welcome I had one, my Jessy who is out somewhere trying to teach me a lesson I'm sure, I have an 18 year old driving out from West Virgina and a 20 year old driving in from Michigan. Transferring to TU from MSU." Barbie explained as his face lit up. "Enjoy the pool, we'll be eating a half hour after I can pull my husband away from that home wrecker Zoe." she teased and everyone laughed. Ken headed for the grill as Barbie headed into the house and emerged with a cart full of dishes of food, setting them on the ledge built onto the fence. "Cool that's what that's for." Diana said offering to help. "You go relax and enjoy yourself. I'm almost done anyway." Barbie answered. "Mackie ready to use the diving board little dude?" Barbie asked. "Yep" he answered and she led him and showed him how to bounce. "I'll show you than you can flip to me." Barbie said springing high and flipping. "Come on now show me what you can do" Barbie asked and Mackie sprung and flipped and paddled to the edge. "Way to go little dude. You to can flip. Boys keep and eye on him. Thank you. I think I hear your sister." Barbie said climbing the ladder and bursting into laughter. Standing before was her leather clad, ratty haired, tattoed, pierced sixteen year old blue eyed blonde daughter. "Jessy you look totally ridiculous. Killed a cow to wear, stuck you finger in a socket to do your hair, you know how I felt about the piercings, and if the tatto is permanent you'll see a plastic surgeon Monday, I won't tolerate it. Why?" Barbie said. "Never mind I know the answer and so do you. I'm sorry you're not pleased I remarried. News Bulletin I don't live my life to please you or any one other than God and myself. Unlike you I refuse to believe that all men are useless based on our past experience. If you're dressing this way for my reaction you got it. Laughter is it. I refuse to let you anger me. If you care to parade around the world looking like a freak, knock yourself out. Just know you are still my beautiful little girl and all this won't change that. Oh before I forget, Jessica Lee Kendall, you ever barrel out of here again like you did this morning, you'll lose your driving priveleges. You know how dangerous that is, I don't have to tell you. If you have the need to lay rubber, there's a drag race track ten miles west and it's open driving Saturday afternoons, dear" Barbie said. "Whatever. Get used to the look, I got a job so I don't have to stay here. Zats, downtown. I dress this way for work, ya know." Jessy said heading up the stairs. "Unfair, if I'd dressed like that, you'd have skinned me alive." Nick complained. "Nicholas Lee Kendall, you would look absolutely ridiculous in that get up, but if you're telling me you're into cross dressing, knock yourself out, young man." Barbie said heading to the house with the cart, returning with it full of drinks and the cold food dishes. "You okay hun?" Ken asked standing behind her. "I'm sorry, she has got to stop pushing me." Barbie whispered. "She's just testing the waters." he said grabbing the platter and headed back to the grill. "It could have been worse." Diana said. "I shudder to think. Once Chele's here, I'll be fine. She loves her so and Chele will chew her up and spit her out." Barbie said and Diana hugged her then gasped. "She is lovely." Diana said turning her to see her baby girl, no tattoo, no piercings, pony tailed, in a blue two piece with flowers. "That's my Jessy." Barbie whispered. "Sweetie you look lovely. There's time for a dip if you'd like. Jessy our neighbors, Walker and Diana Hanson. and a bunch of kids I only remember Zoe." Ken said. "Ken, I know their names, ages, signs, birthdates, likes, dislikes, scars, bad habits, you name I can answer it probably better than them." Jessy said shaking hands with Walker, then Diana and thanking on behalf of Hanson fans every where for the contribution in making life worth while. "That's so nice of you Jessy. Thanks for saying so." Diana said. "If you'll excuse me I have time for a quick dip before dinner." Jessy said headed to the pool. "Cool other females. I am so thrilled to meet you Jessie, Avie, Zoe. I am like so tired of nothing but males." Jessy said double flipping of the diving. "Wow how'd you do that?" Zac asked. "You have to tuck tight to get the revolutions." Jessy said. "Show me again would you?" Zac asked as Jessy swam towards the girls. "Oh okay." Jessy mumbled and headed to he edge of the pool and jumped out. She made her way to the board with Zac on her heels. "Um Zac. You could back up a little. I swing my arms when I sprint the board and I would want to do this." Jessy said swinging her arm back and smacking him in the chest. "Sorry I couldn't resist. I didn't hit you hard did I?" Jessy asked turning and his eye got so big as they watched her breasts. "Um Zac, you're smiling." Jessy said stepping off the board, removing her breasts from his face. "Earth to Zac. Zac Hanson that's not funny." Jessy said. "Oh yeah, Jessy what?" he asked. "Nevermind" Jessy said walking away. "But wow what a butt" Zac said. "Oh god that was outloud, Jessy, I'm sorry." Zac said red faced as Jessy headed to the house. "Zac Hanson you apologize now, young man." Walker said and Zac ran after her. "Jessy. Jessy wait. I'm sorry, please listen to me. Jessy." Zac called after her following her upstairs. "Please Jessy listen, I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. I've seen pretty girls before I don't know why I acted the way I did. Maybe it was the 180 from the way you were dressed before and then seeing the real you." Zac said staring at the black wall. "Cool. You're so lucky I'd love this but my folks would never let me. Man this is really cool, Jessy. You doing the art work?" Zac asked. "Yeah but I'm not that good at it, so it takes me like forever." Jessy said. "I'll help you, if you'd like." Zac offered. "Hey I forget. You're good at drawing. Yeah I know what I want Zac. Just doesn't make if from here to here." Jessy said touching his head then his hand. Zac turned his hand and took hers in his, "Jessy I'm really sorry. It was so rude, how I honestly felt, but so rude. Please forgive me." Zac said with such sincerity. Jessy sighed, "How could I not forgive you, Zac that was the nicest apology I've ever heard." Jessy said touhing his face smiling, kissing him tenderly. "We better get down to dinner" she said. "Yeah we better." Zac said leading her by the hand he still held. They hit the bottom step as Ken walked their way, "I was just coming to call you two, dinner's ready." he said. "Thanks Daddy" Jessy said heading out the door. "Did she just callme Daddy?" Ken asked Zac. "Yeah that's what she called you." Zac answered. "If you don't mind my asking, What did you do to her, she was smiling and called me Daddy. Zac Thank You is all I can say." Ken said shaking his hand and slapping him on the back. "Honey, Oh thank god. Jessy came out smiling, all sweet and kind, I thought, Oh Ken." Barbie said hugging him. "I'm fine. No I didn't tell her I'd leave. Zac is responsible for that smile dear." Ken said. "Zac Hanson thank you. It's about time someone mattered." Barbie said slipping and arm around each of them "Let's go eat." she said and they made their way to the table. Zac sat on the end next to Jessy who was busy talking to Isaac about Kristina "I'm getting a little concerned. I figured it out and Chele should have been here this morning. I sure hope nothing went wrong." Jessy said. "I'm sure she's okay Jessy. You would have heard if anything was wrong." Zac said placing his hand over hers and rubbing it gently. "You're probably right Zac. I'm more excited that worried. Chele would have called me if anything was wrong. Thanks." Jessy said turning to see his warm brown eyes and she smiled. "Jessy was she driving through or was she stopping for the night?" Taylor asked. She looked across the table at him, "No she stayed at a Holiday last night. She called me from there. Knowing sis, she probably over slept. She's not a morning person." Jessy laughed. "Maybe she slept until maid service came and woke her." Taylor said and they laughed. They joked their way through dinner, Zac holding Jessy's hand the entire time. "I'll get it." Jessy said rising to answer the phone. "Hello Kendall residence." Jessy said walking back with the cordless. "Hey sis, we were just talking about you, are your ears ringing?" Jessy asked her. "No what were you and Mome saying?" Chele said. "I wasn't talking to her, she's on the other end of the table. I was talking to the neighbor boys, they're really nice, I'm sure you'll like them as much as I do." Jessy said. "Hotties or notties?" Chele asked. "Definitely hotties" Jessy said blushing. "What ages?" Chele said. "There's one you're age, if that's what you're asking." Jessy said. "Hey why aren't you here?" Jessy asked. "I'm sort of lost. Blonde you know. Actually I've been telling myself I was going to come across Hanson and ask for directions." Chele said. "Oh sis, where are you." Jessy asked. "Downtown Tulsa. Man you should see this store, way cool." Chele said. "Zats?" Jessy asked. "How did you know." Chele asked. "Go inside ask for Tony, the night manager and tell him you're my sister. He'll draw you a map to get home. I have one and it worked. My Expedition's in the driveway next to Daddy's Jaguar. We're the only houses around." Jessy told her. "See you soon. Bye sis. Mom Chele's downtown, lost, she's going in to see my boss and he'll draw her a map home." Jessy said as she put the phone down. "I can't wait. May I be excused I'm too excited to eat." Jessy asked. "Did you eat anything Jessy?" Ken asked. "Um no. But I really can't, maybe when sis is here. I'll put it in the frig and eat with her. Okay?" Jessy pleaded. "You eat with you sister." Ken said. "Thanks." Jessy said getting up and taking her plate to the kitchen wrapping it and putting it in the frig. She headed to the pool and started swimming laps. They always relaxed her, she swam from end to end, over and over. "No wonder there is nothing to her. She's a strong swimmer." Diana said. "My perpetual motion, she's never been able to be still for any length of time." Barbie explained. In the distance she heard the car horn. "Mom do I hear a car horn?" Jessy asked. "I believe so, hun?" Barbie asked. "Sounds like a Saturn to me." Ken said as Jessy hopped out of the pool, racing through the house, out the front door, and headed down the street, "It's Chele Mom. Sis'" Jessy screamed racing down the street, waving.
