"What was I thinking." Jessy said to the image in her mirror. Staring back at her was a black leather clad, tatooed, pierced, ratty haired blue-eye bonde. "At least the tatoo and most of the piercings are fake, you're still in there." Jessy smiled as she plopped down on her bed staring at the ceiling. Just this morning, they were at it again. "Why the hell did you have to get married. All men are useless, Screw him and send him packing." Jessy screamed at her mother. "Jessy, it's not fair to judge all men by one bad one." her mother said patiently. "Why don't you ever scream, get angry, I hate that." she screamed. "What a waste of energy. If you put all that into something constructive, why the possibilities are endless." her mother said. "Jesus for years I beg you to move me to Tulsa because I was obsessed. You wait until I don't give a shit and move me here. This is the Middle Of Nowhere how could you do this to me." Jessy screamed jumping into her car and peeling out and barreling down the street. "You want yelling, SLOW DOWN DAMMIT" her mother screamed after her. "Oh I'm sorry. 16 going on 2.The terrible twos, she never had them before such a happy baby. She's not happy with me is all. I've betrayed her, got remarried and all men are supposed to be useless. My name is Barbara but since I married Ken, the kids call me Barbie." she laughed and introduced herself to her new neighbor. "Great first impression. Try not to hold it against us. You look familiar." she said with a puzzled look. "I'm Diana and I wanted to introduce myself. We've been tryiing to purchase the property off you husband for a couple of years but he kept telling us he would need it someday, he would find the right woman, he was sure of it. When the house started going up and up we were so pleased. Such a big house, bigger than ours and we have seven kids." she said. "Match you. I have five four boys and my terrible 2 there, She has adopted two sisters, one 20 and one 18. She found them a chat room and they clicked. My Chele, the 18 year old has been part of the family going on three years. Beautiful baby, self esteem problem but she's moving in with me and I get hands on year round from now on. Used to be just summers and she would be so up then slowly she'd start ragging on herself and before I knew, my Chele would be gone again. I can't imagine having such a beautiful baby and not loving it to death, so much it knew it was beautiful, wanted, and so totally everything and could do anything. Sorry, one of my pet peeves all these fools producing children in the name of sex. YUCk. When I get off on a tangent like that just give me a shake, the old computer reboots and I'll be fine." Barbie said laughing. "You are a riot. Are you always this way or are you just trying to impress me." Diana laughed. "Ewwww never do anything to impress someone, blows up in your face too easily. Nope this is me, the real thing, if you don't see it or hear it, it ain't there." she said. "Barbie come on in, you have to meet the family." Diana asked. "Sure.Samuel.Samuel. Yes you boy. I'm going next door if Ken comes home let him know. You keep and eye out for the carpenter too. You show him what you want and come get me if you need me." Barbie said and the headed to the house next door. "Walker, children come here please." Diana said. "Shit. Did you say Walker and it's not Texas Ranger. You are mother of Hanson aren't you. I knew you looked familiar. Diana Hanson how do you do. Ken never told me, did he know?" Barbie asked. "Afraid so, he's keep stuff from you already huh?" Diana laughed. "I'm surprised he built the house so close is all. You'll hear the girls often. Not so sure about my Jessy, she boxed up her collection, didn't throw it away, but she hasn't unpacked it yet either. Now my adopted two. That's another story. Didn't I read Isaac is off to college?" Barbie asked. "That's right, locally though Tulsa University." Diana said. "Oh my, I wonder if he has any of Ken's classes, English Department. My romantic, that's what sold me on him, his command of the language. Always have admired people who can use words, instead of actions or profanity." Barbie said. "I don't know. He should be home soon, we'll have to ask him. Walker this is our new neighor Barbie of Barbie and Ken Kendall. Mother of five, with two adopted, let's see 12,14, 16, 16, 18, 18, and 20. Right?" Diana asked. "Right lets see Zoe 4, Mackie 6, Avie 11, Jessie 14, Zac 16, Tay 18, Isaac 20. Ta daaa." Barbie said. "You ask my age and I'll scream like a card carrying member of the Scream Squad that I am." Barbie warned. "You're hilarious." Walker laughed. "That's what Ken says. I just don't see it though." she says looking behind her and chasing circles like a dog chasing its tail. "Just can't go fast enough to see it." she said acting like nothing had happened as Diana and Walker burst into laughter hugging each other. "My boys, do you think they're all right" she asked making a looney sign with her finger raised near her head. "You're funny" Zac said. "Why I never." she laughed. "Mom, Dad you two okay" Taylor asked. "Hey little ones what's up. Mom and Dad's okay I just told them a funny joke is all." Barbie said walking their way. "So you were out back huh? Well you go on enjoying it you hear. We own as far as you can see and you kids are welcome to go on using the property as if it were your own. I'm sure Ken would agree. My Sam is having a Skateboard ramps and pikes put in over that way if you don't have a problem with it. We decide to pave a rink too. Do you guys blade or board at all?" Barbie asked and found they all loved to. "Good. Ken is spending way to much on it just for my kids, so you guys help us get our money's worth promise. I mean if that's okay with Mom and Dad." she said sending them begging to Waker and Diana. "Hey the other biggie we're doing is more for me. I want a Gazebo on the woods edge so we can picnic and stuff if you have no objections. not that if you do would change things, but I'd love your input. You've been here longer so you now what the land will handle without destroying its beauty." Barbie said. "You're much too kind. A Gazebo would be perfect. We often have the boys carry the table out there near the creeks. Beautiful spot." Diana said. "You guys still into blading as much as you used to?" Barbie asked. "Yes ma'am" Taylor said. "Such a polite young man, but if you call me ma'am one more time, I might just do something to make sure it never happens again." she said imitating someone ripping out his tongue and feeding it to him. "I asked because I see Sam out there now and he has the plans. You should go introduce yourself and take a look at the layout is all." Barbie said. "Oh guys he's a fan and will probably say something profound Shit you're Hanson, just tell him you knew that already. You know if you guys have no plans why don't you come over, the kids can swim and we'll cookout. Don't say it's too much I love to entertain. Say yes." Barbie pleaded. "Yes I love to not have to cook." Diana said. "Sure let us find suits and we'll be over." Walker said. "Great. We'll meet at the pool. I'm going through the backyards if you don't mind, I see the contractor, want to come boys?" Barbie asked and Zac and Tay tagged along to meet the contractor, putting in their two cents worth. "I leave you in their capable hands. The decision is theirs, you only need me to get the bill paid. I'm heading to the house. Stop on the way out, I'll pay you a retainer fee. I'll be in the kitchen the boys will show you." Barbie said making her way to the house, busying herself for her company to arrive.
