Whenever someone close to you dies, it seems like it'll get easier with each passing day, but it doesn't. The memories of what you used to do one those days comes and smacks you in the face. Your heart only seems to break more, and when you think the day is over another one starts. Some people never get over losing a loved one, but when you gain another while losing one it means so much more. Chele, and Jessy were to learn that, but Jessy would learn alot easier. She wasn't as close to Johnny as Chele, but she was still close to him. It was evident that Jessy needed to spend time with her sister, trying to help her throughout everything, but there's only so much a sister can do. Sometimes you have to reachout to someone who knows exactly how you feel. Jessy knew that she couldn't go through this alone, and that Chele probably couldn't help her much. So, she turned to the person no one would have thought, Isaac. He was older and she knew he had lost a loved one years before this ever happened. She knew she could trust in him, but she didn't know if she could tell him everything. Its hard talking to a 19 year old when you're only 14. Jessy picked up the phone, and took a deep breath before dialing the Hanson's phone number nerviously. "May I speak to Isaac," Jessy asked when Zac picked up the phone. "He's not here. Can I take a message," he asked grabbing a pen and paper. "Can you have him to call Jessy? I don't know if my mom," Jessy tried. "Jessy? Its Zac. Is something wrong," Zac asked surprised that she wanted to talk to Isaac instead of him. "No, well, yeah. I mean, I don't know really," she stuttered looking around to see if her mother or sister were in the room. When she spotted them sitting near the pool, she knew she could confide in Zac. "Zac, it's Chele. I'm worried. I'm trying so hard to help her out, but I just can't do everything. I'm hurting too, not as much as her, but I'm still not as strong as she needs me to be. It upsets me to see her like this. She won't eat, barely gets any sleep, and when she's not crying she's by herself singing songs that her and Johnny loved," Jessy explained while tears welled up in her eyes, and tumbled down her cheeks. "God, Jessy, I had no idea she was taking it that bad. But Jessy you have to realize that her and Johnny were the closest that two people could ever be, and when she lost him it was like the world was pulled out from under her feet. It's hard on her and I know its hard on you. I'm sure Chele doesn't want you worrying yourself to death about all this, and I know she doesn't want you to try and be strong and help her," Zac replied in such a manner it took Jessy off of her feet and lifted her so much higher. He did understand how she felt, and knew that she couldn't do everything. Jessy was amazed. "Yeah, I guess you're right," she mumbled wiping the salty tears that had tummbled down to her lips away. "Jessy, can you hold on for a second. Taylor's worried about Chele," he asked. She could hear every word Zac said to Taylor and she could hear the worry in Taylors voice when Zac mentioned Chele not eating and secluding herself. It touched her heart that there was a guy out there other than Johnny that actually cared about her sister enough to want to talk to her when she heard Taylor asking to talk to her. "Jessy, is Chele around," Taylor asked. "Yeah, she's outside with Momma. Let me go get her," Jessy said resting the phone on the counter. "Sis," she interupted. "Yeah," Chele answered wiping her face. "Someone's on the phone that wants to talk to you. He seems pretty worried to me," Jessy said. "Excuse me, Momma," Chele smiled heading inside and to the phone. "Is it," Barbara no longer got out. "Yeah. It's Taylor. Momma, it's so weird. I've never known any guy to care like that except Johnny. I mean when Zac said Chele's name, Taylor started asking how she was, and everything. And Zac, momma, he's great. He's so wonderful. He knows just how I feel," Jessy gleemed. "Oh, really? I have a feeling we're going to be getting really close to this Hanson family," Barbara chuckled to herself. "Momma," Jessy said her face reddened with embarassment. "Oh, don't be embarassed baby. I know just how you feel. Believe it or not, I used to be your age at one time," she teased. "Yeah, in the Ice Age," Jessy teased back before they broke out into laughter. "I promise Tay, I'll eat something just for you," Chele said walking through the patio door with the cordless phone. Barbara patted her leg and smiled at Chele when she saw her eyes twinkle. "Im not sure Tay. Let me ask her," she said pulling the phone away from her ear. "Momma, Tay wants to know if we all can come over tomorrow. Diana already said it was ok, and it'd give us a chance to meet Walker and the rest of the family," she asked sweetly. "Sure baby," Barbara replied. "She said it was fine. Ok. Noon it is. Ok. Bye," Chele said hanging the phone up. "Jessy, Zac told me to tell you to stay as strong as you can without breaking apart on him," she added sitting next to her on the swing. "So, how's Taylor," Jessy asked as Chele dropped her head. "He's doing better than me if that's what you're asking. He said that they've been working on something special for us, and Johnny, but he wouldn't tell me what," she replied as tears fell to her cheeks when his name parted from her lips. The closeness to Taylor to her was the most important part of getting around Johnny's death. Taylor helped her with so much without even trying. His words rang in her ears like an orchestra playing the sweetest love songs. Thanks to Jessy, Chele knew that there was someone there who understood how she felt, and what she needed to hear. She knew that Jessy was trying hard to be there for her but she also knew that there was only little she could do. Jessy was 14, but she was stronger than any preson Chele had seen. But this time, she wasn't strong enough, because she was hurting along with the rest of the family. Grief can be hard, but if you get through it everything about the person you're grieving over becomes happy memories, or at least that's what Taylor said to Chele which made her smile. He knew how to do that, just like Johnny did, he could make her smile without thinking twice about it. Could this be love or was it just the grieving bringing people together because their hearts are vulnerable and broken? It was something that Jessy and Chele would both learn along with the help of the smiling Johnny standing in heaven pushing them towards eachother. This was his way of making dreams come true, even if it meant to hurt the one girl he loved to much for his own good. His heart would be with hers forever, but she needed more than he had to offer, and this was her dream. He would make it come true along with his little sister Jessy's, the amazingly strong 14 year old he admired so much. Love was their dreams, and Johnny was going to make sure it happened with the help of a few friends he had made in heaven. 'This is your dream, and I'm going to make it come true,' Johnny replied lookin down on them sitting on the patio. 'We're going to make i come true,' he smiled as a huge gust of wind whirled around them. Jessy, Chele and Barbara looked at the trees blowing and then to the crystal blue sky. "Hi Johnny," they said smiling as tears fell from the saddened eyes. "I love you," Chele whispered blowing a kiss into the wind. "I love you too Johnny," Jessy said diong the same. "We miss you," Barbara smiled nodding. She had this erie feeling that this was Johnny's plan, but couldn't make it out exactly. In her heart she knew he was surrounding them and making sure they were protected. But his plan, she didn't know, yet, soon enough she would know exactly what he wanted to happen. Too soon to say the truth.
