"Let's go Andy. Let's do it." someone called out as the two teams lined up. "Ready. Set. Hut One, Hut Two." Andrea called as she took the snap, backed up a few feet before sending the ball sailing downfield. "Run you idiot." someone yelled when her brother caught the ball and made his way to the goal line. "Great run man." their teammates cried out as they rushed down the field to congratulate him. "Great throw Andrea. Thanks." Andrea mumbled to herself as she watched them all head down field. "Did you say something man?" someone from the other team asked. "Who? Me? Yeah I did." Andrea answered turning their way before removing her helmet. "It's a girl." someone squealed. "It's. Did you just call me an it?" Andrea screamed throwing her helmet to the ground. "Nah." he mumbled. "Right. You're a chicken shit. Who's the it around here." Andrea screamed as she moved his way, getting right in his face. "You're pretty." he mumbled. "What did you say?" Andrea screamed inches from his face. "I said you're pretty. Do you need to get your hearing checked?" he screamed back."No." Andrea screamed as she began to laugh, choking out, "I heard you just fine. You had mexican for lunch huh?" "Yeah. That noticeable huh?" he replied with a chuckle. "Up close and personal like, yeah." Andrea replied trying to stop the laughing. "Sorry." he offered before taking a step backwards. "You got a problem with me being a girl?" Andrea asked. "Nah. Just shocked. I mean you're good and all. I guess I was just being a sexist. My name is Zac. I've never seen you guys here before." Zac said extending his hand. "I'm Andy. Most of the rest of the guys are my brothers. We just moved here. I hate living in the city, it sucks." Andrea answered turning and heading towards her team. "Good, they're guys. Hate to be beat by any other girl but you. So you live in town?" Zac called out. "Yeah. Right over that way. A block or two back." Andrea answered. "Really? My Grampa lives over that way. That's why we're here. We know most of the kids in the neighborhood." Zac called out. "Small world it is. Huh? You're Grampa cool? Lives in a blue house with white shutters?" Andrea called out, stopping and turning back to him. "Yeah. How'd you know?" Zac asked. "We live across the street. What you mean your Grampa? He's my Grampa now." Andrea answered then stuck out her tongue. "No way. He was my Grampa first." Zac screamed. "You just ask my Grampa. He loves me best." Andrea declared before reaching her teammates and heading out victorious. They stopped at the little restaurant on the corner to celebrate their victory, "We slaughtered them." someone declared as they entered. "You beat the neighborhood boys?" the owner asked. "Not beat Ernie, we slaughtered them, 24 to nothing." he answered as they took the corner booth. "That's okay. I'll sit over here." Andrea mumbled as they filled the benches and two guys pulled up chairs on the end. "Sorry sis." Brad called out, shoving the guy next to him to make room. "It's okay. I'm not hungry anyway. I think I'll head home." Andrea replied heading to the door. "Get out of the way. Hey what you doing in our spot?" someone from the losing team asked as they made their way inside, pushing Andrea up against the wall. "Your spot? Who do you think you are? Oh I know you must be the Ernie's son." Andrea declared. "What? Ernie who?" he asked turning back to her. "Duh!! Too many hits to the head huh? Ernie's restaurant and you're acting like you own the place so you must be Ernie's son." Andrea insisted stepping his way as everyone around them began laughing. "Hey Ernie I didn't know Jimmy here was your son. He's acting like he owns the place." Zac called out heading towards the owner. "So you got slaughtered huh?" Ernie asked. "What? Oh that. Yeah they're good Ernie, really good." Zac answered heading to the corner booth. "Good game guys. Maybe we can do it again?" Zac offered extending his hand. "Thanks man. Yeah that would be great." Brad replied taking his hand before introducing his brother and the rest of the team, ending, "And my sister Andy. Hey Andy." "I said I was going home and I still am as soon as they clear the doorway." Andrea answered turning and heading out the door as the others moved to the side. A block from home she headed down the alley and entered her house from the back, not seeing the van parked across the street. Finding noone home, Andrea raided the refrigerator before making her way to her room. She connected to the web and checked Messenger to see who was on. "Drat. Everybody has a life but me." she mumbled before filling the tub. "A nice hot soak." Andrea moaned as she slipped into the bubbles, leaning back and enjoying the warmth. "Sis. Hey Sis." her brother called out pounding on her door. "Go away." Andrea replied. "Come on down stairs. We have company." Brad insisted. "I'm in the tub. Do I gotta?" Andrea moaned. "Yeah. So get out and get downstairs." Brad demanded. "Who's that important?" Andrea called out as she rose and grabbed a towel. "Brad?" Andrea called out not receiving an answer. "I wonder if it's Mom's new client." Andrea mumbled making her way to her room to dress. "Bet that's it." Andrea said making her way to her window looking down to see her mother's van parked in the garage, adding, "Yep that's it. Maybe I'll wear a dress. I know I own one. Where did I put it?" Andrea quickly dressed. "Wow I've grown since I've worn this." she whispered looking at her reflection in the mirror and the new mini length of the dress. "You got legs girl." Andrea snickered then finished her hair before heading downstairs. "Here she comes. Andy. I heard you won the game sweetie." her mother said as she made her way downstairs. "They were wusses Momma. It was easy." Andrea replied as she took the last few steps and turned to see her teammates, the losing team and a few strangers. "Hey we're not..." one of the guys began to argue but was suddenly speechless. "What's the matter Charlie? Cat got your tongue? We're not.... whoa." a fellow teammate said speechless as Andrea came into view. "What? We're not what? Does anyone know what you're not?" Andrea asked making her way into the room. "We're not stupid. Wusses maybe but not stupid." Zac teased, adding, "You clean up nice Andy." "Hey Zac." Andrea said making her way to him, adding, "Can't say the same. You still stink." "Hey. Oh I do don't I." Zac protested before raising an arm and sniffing. "Man put that thing down. You're lethal." Isaac teased pushing his arm down. "Smart man." Andrea added. "You too? Man first you beat me on the field and now in your own home. Aren't you suppose to be like the hostest and be nice." Zac argued shoving his brother. "Oh yeah. Where are my manners?" Andrea squealed before turning to Isaac, continuing, "Hello. I'm Andrea. Can I get you something to drink or eat?" "Isaac. Yeah I'd love something to drink. Can I give you hand?" Isaac replied. "That's awfully nice of you. I'd love a hand." Andrea replied extending hers to him then leading him to the kitchen. The two quickly filled the kitchen table with drinks and snacks "That should do it. Isaac could you go let them know please?" Andrea asked. "Sure." Isaac answered stepping to the doorway and hollering, "Hey guys drinks and snacks in the kitchen come on." "Isaac." Andrea squealed. "What? I let them know." Isaac replied with a chuckle. "Just you wait." Andrea teased wagging a finger at him as the first wave of guests filled the room. "This is great. Thanks Andy." Zac said filling a plate and grabbing a drink. "You're welcome Zac. Sorry about the wuss remark." Andrea said as she refilled a bowl of chips. "Well we did suck today. We're normally better." Zac shared. "So what you saying man. No way are you beating us next time." Brad insisted quickly joined by the others. "Can too. We'll slaughter you next time." someone yelled. "This I have to see." Isaac replied making his way to the end of the line, adding, "You pigs better leave something for me. I had to help set it out." "Don't worry. If the pigs eat it all, I'll fix you something Isaac." Andrea shared from the other side of the room. "Where are you?" Isaac called out. "Here. I'm here." Andrea said raising a hand in the air when she realized she was surrounded by much taller people. "You better mean that because Charlie is in front of me and we all know how he eats." Isaac teased. "Excuse me guys. I have to go fix more snacks." Andrea explained. "There isn't enough to feed Charlie. Man maybe he'll eat us. Everybody run Charlie's hungry." someone teased. "Don't worry. I'm sure there is plenty. Go ahead Charlie, you eat." Andrea's mother said entering the room. From the kitchen the group made their way to the family room to watch movies. "I'll get it." Andrea said as the door bell rang. "You sure. I could go sis." Brad answered his eyes glued to the screen. "No that's okay Brad. Brad. Brad. Anyone there?" Andrea teased as his eyes never left the screen. "I don't think he gets it. Can't blame him." Isaac said looking her way breifly before returning his eyes to the screen.
