It was a good thing Jessy had tidied up the house for bright and early the attorneys arrived to update progress made followed by Chris who was there to plan for press coverage. "Chris it's a good thing you're here. Jessy, babe tell him." Zac urged. "Zac Hanson, pushy aren't you. Hey Chris I was wondering if I can talk my guardians into it, I've decided, we've decided, that is if Isaac doesn't mind, we'd, Zac and I, like to rerelease 'More Than Anything'. I sort of decided I was tired of living in a bubble and wanted my life back, so first order of business is the introduction of Zac's girlfriend, duet partner, future wife, up and coming singing sensation and as my first project, I've been bugged by this group to rerelease some of their work and the more I look into it, the more intrigued I am. I have a demo tape if you have a minute." Jessy finally finished and a stunned Chri followed her without question. "Sit here next to me so I can ask you a few questions." Jessy asked patting the couch next to her. "You have met my personal representatie, Chris Sabec I'd like to introduce Walker Hanson. Hi Daddy." Jessy shared. "Hi sweetie so you decided to go for huh little one?" Walker asked. "Yes Daddy. Hun if you'd start the tape please." Jessy asked and Zac manned the remote and "Brace yourself, we are about to go where no other female has gone before. Back to a time when music was simpler and voices the instrument." Jessy's voice narrated as the shooting star spun around the globe and landed in Tulsa. "Hanson Fans everywhere we glady present, Hanson The Younger Years by Jessy" Zac voice announced as a dark stage with searching spotlights appeared then the girls were on stage before the camera moved in for a closer shot, the girls' performance in the back yard, ending with a far away shot of the girls on stage bowing to applauding crowds. "Zac that's wonderful. I had no idea you were this good. Hun you are so talented." Jessy squealed rushing to his arms, kissing him over and over. "Thanks babe, but do you really think this is the time or place, you were dealing with a major record label there." Zac nodded at Chris. "Oh him, Daddy, I mean my personal representative can deal with him. Zac when I think of what you started with, you are just a genius." Jessy congratulated him again with another round of kisses finally giving into Zac's insistence she talk with Chris. "Creative geniuses are so hard to work with." Jessy complained as she sat back down between Chris and Walker. "That was a impromptu appearance but like I said the band themselves have contacted me about rereleasing a number of their earlier works. I'd like to do it. Now the other request, a duet of 'More Than Anything' by Zac and myself. I haven't seen this finished product either so you may lose me again at the end as I congratulate the love of my life on his creative genius." Jessy warned, "Roll it please." Jessy said businesslike and Walker laughed, "God you are so precious sweetie." he said as he wrapped his arm around her. "Daddy. I mean personal representative what il Mr. Record Label think." Jessy blushed, "You'll have to forgive him I remind him of his daughter." Jessy explained then secretly, kissed and hugged Walker, "I love you daddy." she whispered. "Excuse me Miss Up And Coming." Walker teased. "I'll give her her Up and Comings." Zac mumbled. "Sssh there Movie Player Boy." Jessy whispered back. "I'll Player Boy you." Zac grumbled. "Oh yeah, you and what army." Jessy teased back. "Oh I'm scared." Zac teased. "Sssh both of you, turn it up Movie Player Boy." Chris ordered. "Sure." Zac said grabbing Jessy and started singing along with the video and Jessy quickly joined him as they danced throughout the room singing. "Walker, this is a gold mine. If this doesn't convince the world he adores her, I don't know what will. Even obsessed Zac fans would buy it after seeing a video of the look in his eyes as he holds her." Chris said. "Sssh both of you." Jessy teased. "Well I have one last sales pitch." Jessy explained heading to the corner and picking up Isaac's old, smaller guitar and Jessy pulled the stool it was leaning against to the center of the room where she started strumming, "Babe I didn't know?" Zac asked. "Hun by the way, did I tell you that like my gymnastic lessons, my folks had this friend who spent his whole life picking and strumming and I just happened to start picking and strumming right along with him." Jessy explained the started once again singing, 'You've Got A Way' a Shania Twain song, "You've got a way with me, Somehow you got me to believe, in everything that I could be, I've got to say you really got a way. You've got a way with me, You gave me faith to find my dreams, You'll never know just what that means. Can't you see, you've got a way with me. It's in the way you want me, It's in the way you hold me, The way you show me just what love's made of, It's in the way we make love.. You've got a way with words, You get me smiling even when it hurts, There's no way to measure what your love is worth, I can't believe the way you get through to me. It's in the way you want me, It's in the way you hold me, The way you show me just what love's made of, It's in the way we make love. Oh how I adore you, Like no one before you, I love you just the way you are. It's in the way you want me, It's in the way you hold me, The way you show me just what love's made of, It's in the way we make love. It's just the way you are." Throughout the song Jessy and Zac shared their love with them all as the rest of the family gathered to listen. "I can't believe the love between them, they remind me of you and Diana." Chris commented. "Yes they do remind you of us, don't they dear." Walker said loudly, "I agree totally." Diana replied making her way to his lap. "Man Jessy when you said you strummed a little and wondered if I had a smaller guitar still, I thought. Oh never mind what I thought, you are good sis. Do an acoustical with me, please man I'll come up with something we can play back and forth, you know, that'd be so cool. Man I can't think of anything right of hand, Dad? Maybe I'll go write something." Isaac rambled on and then headed out of the room. "Isaac, Big brother, Yo Hoo, well anyway I'd love to and yeah that sounds cool." Jessy replied as he headed to the recording studio. "Great concept son." Walker yelled, laughed, then added, "Really great concept, if you'll excuse me, I'm going..." Walker said trailing after Isaac. "Man it must be good, he almost dumped me on my.. Oh you saw." Diana laughed. "Well, I seemed to have misplaced my personal representative somewhere, so Chris you get the idea of what I'm offering?" Jessy asked. "Jessy, Miss Up and Coming, when can I make you a star?" Chris asked. "Wait. When do I get to be demanding? Babe you said I could make demands. He doesn't know what I need and want yet and he wants to sign me. Zac, I want to be demanding. You promised me." Jessy said stomping her foot. "Yes dear. Chris she wants to be demanding. Do you mind?" Zac asked. "Anything Miss Up and Coming. Demand away! Demand your heart out!!" Chris teased. "Well don't mind if I do." Jessy said making her way to Zac's arms, "Have I told you lately that I love you bunches and bunches. At least this much." Jessy asked kissing him playfully, leaning back and spreading her arms as far as she could. "Man Zac you lose you grip on squirmy butt there and she falls on her butt and you're in big, big trouble." Taylor warned. "Hey you looking at my butt? I'm going to tell my sister you're looking at my butt. You stop looking at my butt. That's for Zac to do." Jessy warned hiding her butt from his view by backing into Zac. "Don't be telling Chels nothing of the kind, I don't look at your butt, not even when you stick it in my face." Taylor insisted. "I do no such thing." Jessy insisted, adding, "Mommy, Taylor said I stick my butt in his face." Jessy whined making her way to her. "Taylor dear is this true." Diana asked. "Oh take her side." Taylor complained before laughing hysterically. "Thanks Mommy I love you." Jessy said squeezing in between her and Chris and giving her a hug and kiss. "Now to be demanding, Chris, first I need an Ike and Tay. I need you to get my sisters Veronica and Chele. The only one I worry about is Chele, sometimes her Dad, well he can get downright pig headed at times, especially where Chele is concerned. I happen to have developed a talent of twisting him around my little finger at times, but I'd rather you and Daddy try first and whatever you do, don't take Taylor. If Daddy Lappert knew she and Taylor were in love, he'd never agree. Then, well, I guess you know the rest, I love Zac, that and the family come first and always will, so Miss Up and Coming isn't Up and Coming anywhere except with Hanson. There I'm done demanding. I'm sorry to demand but Zac did promise me. He said I could demand anything and get away with it, that's why I did it. I'm sorry." Jessy explained, apologized and finally hugged him. "Walker was right, you are precious." Chris declared, kissing the top of her head. "So Chele's Dad is pig headed where she's concerned huh?" Chris asked. "Oh he's in this time warp where she's concerned. He looks at her and sees a little four year old looking up to her Daddy like he ruled the world, Get Real. Sucker has got to wake up." Jessy insisted. "She's right Chris. Chels is always complaining about the way he is about her." Taylor added. "Like I said, I have a way with him but I really don't like manipulating people, so I'd really like it if you and Daddy tried, you know man to man. But I'm telling you if he wants to act like a child, I'll handle it." Jessy warned. "Well you don't worry, let Daddy, I mean Mr. Personal Representative and I try to reason with him. Jessy are you sure that's it? No other demands?" Chris asked. "Nope and I'm really sorry about being that way. I baked cookies this morning would you like some?" Jessy offered. "Man if all my clients were like you. I'd love some cookies." Chris answered. "Cookie time." Jessy squealed racing to the kids and they all jumped for joy and followed Jessy out of the room singing "Cookie, cookie, cookie" and forming a conga line, dancing their way to the kitchen. "She's amazing." Chris commented watching them dancing, singing, laughing, loving then as the all worked together, all pitching in, even Zoe to get things ready. "Wash your hands and it's Cookie time." Jessy said putting a step stool at the sink for Zoe and Mackie to use. Everyone was seated at the table enjoying except Jessy, "Come on babe, sit down with me." Zac asked patting the seat next to him as she turned around with a platter of cookies, two empty glasses and the remainder of a jug of milk, "In just a minute hun, I'm going to take this out to Daddy and Isaac." Jessy explained kissing the top of his head as she made her way out the door and raced to the studio and back. Over the next few weeks Walker made endless trip to West Virginia with Chris finally returning with Chele, bags and all. The two were quickly joined by Veronica and the garage was emptied to be used as a dance studio as construction of a dance studio began next to the studio with office space joining the two buildings together. Jessy was thriving on home schooling, advancing by leaps and bounds completing a year of school in a little over three months time. She had completed all math classes available and Diana arranged for her to start college level math classes. Jessy and Zac recorded 'More Than Anything' in the studio out back of the house and the video was shot in warehouse not far from home with tight security, Jessy arriving and departing dressed in her brunette look. The trial finally began and Jessy's identity was announced to the world the day that her mother, Diana and Walker escorted the two into courthouse. "Zac who is she?" the reporters begged to know as they moved to the makeshift podium where Zac stepped forward removing his sunglasses. "We really weren't ready to share our relationship, making it public adds so many pressures but we've recently learned how deep our love runs and are confident we can handle anything you care to dig up about us. Jessy broke her arm when she was eight. She was riding her calf, Fionia, a fair project. Yes folks, Jessy was born and raised on a Dairy farm, a 4H member from the age of four, competing and showing cattle, horses, actually she started competing in Showmanship Sweepstakes at the age of nine. That's when the are judged showing each of the species at the fair, you know beef, dairy, swine, sheep, riding horses, draft horses and goats. Just last week Jessy was at our fairgrounds for that annual horse sale, she was hinting for a birthday present I think, but before we knew she had convinced a seller to let her show his horse. Man she promised that dude she would add $5,000 to the sale of his stallion or she'd make up the difference. She doubled that easily and we ended up in the stands the rest of the day watching Jessy show horses. Anyway, she's pretty amazing or at least I think so. Babe?" Zac said extending his hand to Jessy and as their eyes met a beautiful smile appeared on her face. She removed her sun glasses, both mothers hugged her before she reached for Zac's hand and stepped forward. Zac kissed her sweetly as cameras flashed and tapes rolled. They stood side by side, Zac's arm wrapped around her. "Hey everybody, I'm Jessy and I'm madly in love with Zac Hanson." Jessy announced as a million questions came her way. "Wow you guys want to know everything. How we met, well it's someting United Postal Service arranged. Zac and I were pen pals at first. Boy that was a long time ago, huh hun?" Jessy asked kissing Zac's cheek. "Seems like just yesterday babe." Zac responded. "Well from there we entered electronic stage of our relationship, remember the e-mail days?" Jessy asked looking lovingly at Zac. "Talk excitement, then that day you lead me by the hand into that private chatroom. Let's just say, I've been madly in love with her ever since." Zac teased. "Then everything changed, I won a contest and finally got a chance to meet Zac in person. I wasn't going to tell him so I asked his Mom for help and she came through for me. I'd just like to say that meeting and falling in love with Zac was amazing but the love and support we've received, I've received from his entire family, is.." Jessy paused apparently emotional, "Let's just say that each night I thank him for the best thing that ever happened to me and for his family too." she finished as Zac held her tight and she layed her head on his shoulder. "Sorry guys we have to head in now." Walker announced wrapping an arm around the two of them as the moans began. "If you guys can wait around, I'll be glad to talk to you afterwards." Jessy said. "Zac is she always that nice?" someone shouted out. "Why do you think I love her so, Dun!!!" Zac answered kissing her deeply before they headed into the courthouse for opening statement from the Federal Prosecutor at which time a recess was called and deal was struck and presented to the Judge for approval. As proceedings resumed, the prosecutor introduced Jessy who stepped forward and addressed the person who had changed her life by her threats, standing directly in front of her, head held high trying to make eye contact with her. Jessy spoke of how her irresponsible actions changed the course of her life, affecting not only her but her relationship with Zac, her family, Zac's family, her schooling. "I stand her to tell you I refuse to let you or anyone like ruin my life. Anyone meeting me today would ask what I'm complaining for, I'll say it myself, my life is wonderful, I'm surround with such love and devotion, I've found it so easy to excel and succeed at everthing I've attempted but what you did was take away years from us, you forced us to excellerate our lives, or relationship with each other and with our families. I turn fourteen in a few days and because of you, I've left my family and now live with Zac and his family, at first it was to insure my safety. You'll never understand the terror your words created, one minute I was sitting in my sixth period class listening to Mr. Jackson describing Steward's Folly and the next minute, I was in the office, rushed home by my mother, dressed in a disguise and was on a non-stop flight to LA to live with the Hansons. What you did to us." Jessy stopped as it all came back to her, the color left her face as a few tears broke free, "I can't believe you my oldest brothers age and you think nothing of throwing you life away by such careless and hurtfull words. Please tell me you'd never harm a baby, an innocent baby, a gift from God. Anyone who would even joke such a thing is sick and needs definite help. Your honor, I understand her intention was to destroy my life but I can't act in kind, I couldn't live with myself if I did anything but beg the courts to insure she receives the help she needs, what she did was terrrible but not unforgiveable. Please you honor, I ask your leniency in this matter. Thank you." Jessy asked turning, facing the judge, making eye contact, letting him in to see her love and compassion. "I must say, I find it extremely hard to believe you are a few days from turning fourteen. You are the most mature thirteen year old I have ever met young lady but that fact alone only mirrors what has taken place here. The magnitude of the Defendant's actions. She is a thirteen year old girl who now sounds and acts as if she was nineteen, twenty. This is just evidence of the effect your actions have had, as Jessy put it you have denied her years, the luxury of developing at a normal rate but stood here and faced me begging not to allow you to destroy your own life and assured me that she was a survivor. I have spoken personally with those closest to her and I agree with you young man, Jessy will be fine, with your love and the support of both families, she will be just fine. The world will hear again from this young lady, you mark my words." the judge began finally setting probation with intensive counseling , personal and family, community service on Saturdays, Job Corps in the summers until she reaches the age of nineteen. "This is the strongest sentence I have ever handed down to someone of your age but I intend to serve notice to the youth of this nation, this behavior will not be tolderated." the judge said banging his gavel ending the proceedings. "You did it babe, I can't believe it turned out so well. You were amazing as always." Zac said as the family gathered around them echoing the same sentiments. "I pray your family heals and something good comes out of this all of you too." Walker said extending his hand to the father of the girl who changed their lives. "Daddy's right, we'll all pray for you. Especially you, I'm sorry I had to do this. I had to make you understand what you did with nothing more than your words and intentions. How you've changed my, our lives. I should probably thank you Zac and I are closer than ever and we are committed to making it. I guess most of all I did this because someday Zac and I will have and raise a family, I did this mostly for our future babies. Yeah even now I worry and care for them, we both do." Jessy explained cuddling into Zac's arms dependent on his strength. "Sweetie we can go home out the back way and I'll go explain to the press." Walker offered. "No Daddy. I'll be okay. If I could just stay here for a minute." Jessy asked hugging Zac tighter. She composed herself and addressed the press as promised. "This is something new. She gave us her word and kept it." the comment came from the press. The press coverage generated paved the way for the release of 'More Than Anything' which skyrocketed to the number one spot nine days after being release and their video mirroring the love between them made them the hottest selling item, cds, pictures, and posters. Their duet was included as a bonus track on the guys' new album release and when the tour began, the girls headlined and at the opening concert their album was recorded and video shot being released as the tour completed skyrocketing the girls to the number one spot. "This is something new, recylce music and it his number one." Chris said raising a glass and toasting the girls as the family gathered as Chris presented them with their first gold record. As the guys' got busy recording their next album. Jessy released her first solo album which skyrocketed to the number one spot and remained there for almost three months, shattering previous records. As she spent most of her time in the studio recording duets with Isaac, Taylor, and again with Zac. "I like this something new. I think it has come together quite well don't you?" Diana asked. "Nothing like something new to make life just wonderful." Walker replied looking at the ten of them, their family, playing, laughing and loving as families are meant to be.
