Something New

Part Thirteen

Jessy tossed and turned all night. Nightmares caused from the letters she had read added to the fac she was home in Michigan and Zac was in LA. "Baby. This was fine a week ago, you here and him there." Jessy criticized herself and for the fourth time in just about as many hours, she tried once again to go to sleep, re-reading her letter from Zac. "Jessy, You have to tell me again that who I am now isn't the same as the person who'll be meeting the Contest winner Friday night. It sounds so much better when you tell me. I wish I hadn't promised you I'd do this, I don't want to meet anyone else, it's a waste of time. I mean it Jessy, I already met the girls of my dreams, my destiny, the love of my life, my partner for life. No wise cracks either, you know it's you. (I imagined you saying "And when did you plan to tell me about 'Miss Perfect for You' ".) Jessy can you wait up for me Friday babe? I don't know exactly what we're doing so I don't know if I'll be back for our normal chat time. Please say yes, I won't make it through this without you. Jessy I'll die if I can't talk to you. You're at cheerleading practice now otherwise I'd just ask you. So have you decided where you want to go in 26 days on our first date. We really need to narrow it down so I can book the flight and arrange for a car and driver. I told Mom and Dad what you said the other night when I bugged you about it (as you put it) and they said they'd love it if you came to Tulsa for our first date. Mom said she'd talk to Momma if we wanted her to, maybe she could convince her to let you stay the weekend. So we could have our second and third date too. I'm going to get this in the mail and then check on line to see if you're home yet. Love you forever and a day, Zac." Once again she drifted off but within the hour she was awake again after her dream of her meeting Zac and them falling madly in love, marrying and then it happens, Jessy hears the baby crying but the baby isn't in her crib. "Zac" Jessy screamed as she woke in a cold sweat. "No more of this." Jessy insisted as she sat up, rose from her bed and headed to shower, grabbing tea and toast on her was back to her room. Jessy powered up her web and set up her accounts to be accessed from a remote spot. Jessy then wrote a letter to the parents of the sicko who threatened her future children. When she had it just right, she addressed it to Zac, "Hey hun. I can't sleep, I've tried four times now and I keep waking to the same nightmare, we meet, fall in love and then I hear the baby crying but when I get to the crib it's emptying and I wake up screaming for you. I'm not going to try sleeping again, no sleep has got to be better than this. Anyway, seeings I'm up because of that sicko I decided to take the opportunity to write to Parents of Sicko. Zac I'm also sending you URL's to access the three accounts from your computer, webtv and aol are really that compatible so you will see a lot of numbers at the beginning of lines most likely by the body of the messages should be easy to read. If you find it impossible just go pick up a webtv for under $200 and use the second set of codes and it'll look just like it does here. I'm not sure what you're going to tell or give the attorneys so I decided to just make it all available to you. I'm also attaching a list of other e-mail accounts I have at yahoo, geocities, gurlpages, hotmail, ivillage, eCircles etc. I ran a total on all my accounts and Sis and my's webpages and since last Friday morning when I cleaned all boxes before heading to school and LA, in less than 56 hours I received a 1, 492 pieces of crap, intimidating, threatening, useless pieces of crap. Between Sis and I the total must be around 2,500 pieces. The a list of six pieces on my HansonJello account that are acually god and from friends, 2 on Yellow-Docs and 1 on HansonFansForever. Wow 9 out of 2500, Zac I don't think your fans are ready for you to love me yet, or even like me! I'm so funny, I crack myself up. Hun before I forget, thanks for doing this for me, I really can't look at any more of it. Before I told you last night, I had decided I was going to just delete the three accounts and act like it didn't happen. If I could only erase the few I read from my memory and act like it didn't happen. Zac I love you for doing this for me. I've got to go, bus comes in 5 minutes and I'm still in a towel. I'll write to you after schoo. E me when you get a break. I Love You, Jessy" finished and sent and then forwarded all the attachments before throwing on what ever was on top of her drawers and slipping on her sandals as she heard someone holler bus. She made a mad dash out the door and down the driveway to the waiting bus. Jessy was quiet all day, even to Krystal and Venita and by noon rumor was that Jessy had a boyfriend even though she wasn't suppose to date and they have since broke up. As she headed into gym class, she saw Krystal talking to a group and when they noticed Jessy all grew quiet. During last period Jessy, cornered one of the girls in the group listening to Krystal and asked point blank if they had been discussing here because they all got quiet when she entered. "Nah Jessy we weren't talking about you getting dumped, honest." Melissa said. "Good I'd hate to think a friend, Krystal would talk about me that way. So Melissa you knew the rumor, me getting dumped did you start it?" Jessy asked knowing the answer. "Hey ask you so called friend." Melissa answered as their teacher was called out of the classrom. When Mr. Jackson returned he handed Jessy a note, sending her to the office where Jessy's Mom was waiting. "What's wrong?" Jessy asked. "Get your things we have to go." Barbara said hurrying her along. Soon they were loaded up and headed home where she listened to the messge on the answering machine and she shivered in fear. "Sweetie I don't know what else to do, I talked to Chris, Walker and Diana and until this dies down we all agree you'll be safer with them, Walker and Diana." Barbara explained. "What?" Jessy asked in disbelief. "Jessy just pack, your flight is in two hours, O'hare to LA direct flight. Move it. Question later." Barbara ordered. "I don't believe this, if this isn't something new and off the wall." Jessy said rushing to her room repacking her bags still mumbling to herself, "If I'd ask can I liv with Zac you would have all come unglued. I don't ask and you order me to go, no questions." "What about school?" Jessy hollered. "Diana will enroll you out there I have your transcripts, you're going to be home schooled." Barbara answered. "Beg for three years to be home schooled and no, no, no. One sicko and you'll be home schooled ." Jessy mumbled to herself. "I'm done packing only have to change clothes." Jessy hollered. "Here wear this." Barbara said laying her brother's things on the bed and a short brown wig. Jessy grabbed two rolls of Ace bandages to make the outfit more realistic, dressed in an exercise outfit, put on the bandages and then dressed herself in her brothers clothes, adding a hat and shades. "Ready to go." she reported as Barbara gasped, "Definitely something new and off the wall." Barbara said as they loaded up and headed to Chicago. Once inside O'Hare Jessy stood in the Check In line while Barbara stood in the Ticket line, picking up the ticket with two people to spare. "Wow five minutes to flight time what will we do except hussle to the boarding area. Let's move it girl." Barbara said as soon as they made it through security and as the called final boarding, "Whatever you do be careful please and call me when you land and behave. Jesus Jessy you're leaving me. How did this happen? Oh yeah I remember you fell in love." Barbara said stopping dead in her tracks as a tear made its way down her cheek as Jessy stepped in the boarding line, "Bye baby, be happy." Barbara said as Jessy was greeted by one of the stewardesses. "Bye Momma, I'll miss you." Jessy turned and said as she dissappeared from view. At the plane she was directed to her seat and asked to buckle up as she stowed away her backpack. In a matter of minutes the were on their way and about mid-flight, "What just happened? What am I doing here? Momma's right this is all because I fell in love with Zac." Jessy thought to herself as the realization set in that she was headed back to Zac a little over 24 hours after leaving him but at what price? As she thought of everything she was leaving behind, friends, family, school, Cheerleading, Volleyball, Basketball, the tear started falling, "Are you okay sweetie?" the stewardess asked. "Yeah I'm sorry, I was just getting a little homesick and I haven't even landed yet. Not a good sign huh?" Jessy answered. "Aren't you the cutest. I'm sure everything will be okay. We all get homesick. We'll be landing in five to ten minutes, then you won't have time to think about it." the stewardess replied and she was right. Before she knew it, she was in a crowd of people making her way to the terminal as she donned her hat and shades. At she stepped from the hallway, she scanned the waiting area looking for Zac or Daddy. "So many hats and sunglasses must be everybody is somebody in LA." Jessy thought to herself as she wondered what to do if nobody showed to pick her up. Jessy moved from the line of people and found a seat where she could easily see everybody who came in as the waiting game began. Soon the crowds began to thin as Jessy's stomach growled, "Man it's suppertime. Zac where are you?" she thought to herself as the room emptied out even more and the seats next to her emptied. Jessy pulled off her backpack and searched for change for the phone, dialing the house, "Mom? It's me Mom, who's picking me up?" Jessy asked. "Baby you're not due in for an hour." Diana answered. "So no one huh? I got the fast plane out, I'm here already." Jessy teased then laughed. "No! Baby are you okay? Walker she's here, go pick her up. Sweetie I'm sorry, he's coming to get you." Diana replied. "Mom tell him I'll meet him out front okay, I'm going to get something to eat, find my luggage and head out front okay?" Jessy shared. "Walker wait, she'll meet you in front of the terminal. She's hungry and then she'll grab her bags and head out front. Jessy, Daddy said to be careful please?" Diana said. "Mom I will be. I got to go my tummy's really growling. See you soon Mom. Bye bye." Jessy said and headed out to find something to eat and her luggage as she spied a pretzel cart and grabbed a cheese filled pretzel then headed up front to find her luggage. Bags in hand she made her way out front to watch for her ride, "Daddy, Zac." Jessy screamed as the van approached. "Jessy? Dad it is her, I think." Zac said laughing "What do you mean, you think!" Jessy pouted as Zac grabbed her bags and put them in the back. When he turned back he found Jessy sitting up front. "But babe?" Zac complained. "Yeah Mr, I Think?" Jessy teased buckling up as Zac climbed in the back. "All set sweetie?" Daddy asked. "Sure Daddy, why not?" Jessy asked. "I think Zac was hoping you'd sit with him." Daddy suggested. "Nah, he doesn't like brunettes, only blondes with boobs." Jessy said glaring at Zac. "Baby I was just teasing." Zac pleaded. "Well you asked me to be careful and a blue-eyed blonde with boobs traveling alone is not being careul." Jessy responded. "That's my girl. You okay that way sweetie. You've been in it for a while now?" Walker asked. "Not really Daddy. Maybe I will sit with Zac and he can help me out of it." Jessy answered. "Sure sweetie. Go ahead." Walker said and before his last word was past his lips, Jessy had unbuckled herself and was out the door waiting for Zac to finish opening the side door. She moved past Zac and sat in the middle of the seat and buckled herself in. "Babe you no I didn't mean nothing by it. I was only teasing. Jessy don't be mad at me please." Zac pleaded. "Well I am this is all your fault. You know Zac if you weren't so, so wonderful, I never would have fallen in love with you. And if I didn't love you so much, I'd still be home. Wrong, I guess it's not home anymore." Jessy said pausing as her eyes filled with tears, "This is." she finished cuddling into his arms. "Zac I'm scared. I don't know where I belong now. My heart says I belong with you but I really didn't think about leaving Momma and the boys this soon, and my friends, school, 4-H, the kids I babysit. Zac I didn't tell anybody goodbye except Momma." Jessy said before she started crying. "Baby I'm so sorry about all that but when I listened to the message from that sicko, I was so terrified something might happen to you. Jessy I'd die if something happened to you. I love you babe and I promise I'll make it all up to you somehow. I promise Jessy." Zac pledged. "Oh Zac. Hun you didn't do anything wrong, I shouldn't have teased that this was your fault. I don't feel that way Zac honest. I'm just having a pity party here. Poor me, I can't go to school. What am I sick in the head? No more getting up at 6am, panicked over what to wear, a zit or bad hair. Or no more listening to a boring teacher who hates his job and you can tell by the lousy job he does. Thank God no more halls lined with boys, whispering and smacking their lips or whistling as you walk past or begging you to go out with them, have their babies, and my all time favorite 'Suffocate me in your chest Jessy, let me die a happy man." Jessy shared. "Babe there's good things about school too, Cheerleading, Basketball and Volleyball." Zac replied. "Zac stop." Jessy yelled. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell. Sorry Daddy. I know Zac, I thought about all the good things I have to give up because there are sick people in this world but babe I never blamed you. Zac I also thought about all the good things too like your family but mostly you. You're about the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I mean it Zac." Jessy declared pressing her lips to his, kissing him with all the love and passion she felt for him, leaving them both breathless and emotionally moved. "Help me out of these, please?" Jessy asked raising her shirt, exposing the Ace bandages. "You got to stop squishing my boobies." Zac teased. "No my boobies." Jessy teased back, finishing, "I don't think you'd look too good wearing them." "Oh but I so love to feel them." Zac proclaimed pulling of the last bandage and caressing her breasts. "I missed you so much." Jessy whispered, hugging him tight as Zac wrapped his arms around her, "Me too babe." he replied. "Man Zac we're almost home. Help me out of this get up before I scare Zoe. She'd never understand." Jessy said taking the bobby pins out and pulling off the wig then sliding them back in and laying on the seat beside her. She then pulled her arms inside her shirts, pushing them up over her head as Zac grabbed and pulled. "Get my belt while I unpin my hair." Jessy asked and soon her long blonde hair came cascading down. Zac unbuckled her seatbelt, then her belt before unsnapping and unzipping her jeans. Jessy lifted herself from the seat as Zac slid down her jean then buckled her seatbelt back up. "Lift your foot babe." Zac asked as he pulled the jeans free and handed them to her. "Wow. There's my girl." Zac announced. "Hey sweetie, there you are. Thanks, I think your right about Zoe." Walker agreed. "Oh I know so. Last Halloween I was on the way to a party and I stopped by my Aunt and Uncle's to drop of goody bags for their kids because they live in the country and Drew came unglued. I was dressed as Zac, younger years, you know like I did on his birthday. I ended up having to take the costume off and spent the whole night making it up to him instead of going to the party. He was about Zoe's age then." Jessy shared. "We're home." Zac announced taking her hand in his. "Yeah, we're home." Jessy responded kissing him lightly. "Jessy." everyone screamed as the garage door rose revealing the whole family awaiting her arrival. Isaac slid the side door open as Jessy climbed out kissing his cheek then hugging and kissing Jessie, Avie, Mackie, Taylor when Diana finally put Zoe down, "Essy, me Essy." she squealed toddling her way. "Hey my baby girl. How's my Zoe?" Jessy asked sweeping her in her arms, lifting her high as Zoe asked, "Essy home?" "Yeah baby sister, Jessy home. "Sweetie welcome home." Diana whispered fighting back the tears. "Mom it's okay. Honest I'm going to be okay. Now whether you survive me, that's something to worry about." Jessy teased, "Or maybe you are and that's why the tears." "You butt. I missed you and it's only been a little over a day." Diana said hugging her tight as the family headed in. "Come on dear. Share Diana." Walker said squeezing between the two. "Walker Hanson. I wasn't done yet." Diana announced. "Yes dear." Walker said releasing Jessy and moving out of the way. "Men. Who do they think they are?" Diana teased. "Um, Mom that's Daddy and I'm pretty sure he still thinks he's the love of your life not me." Jessy teased. "God Zac, get her out of here." Diana ordered as she turned to Walker, "Sweetheart, I'm sorry you know you're the only love of my life. Jessy is the love in my life just like the rest of our children." she insisted as she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him deeply. "Way to go Mom." filled the room as everyone snuck into the house leaving them alone.
