poison Ivy -Nine-

The van pulled into the parking lot of the church and as Zac stepped out, turning, offering his hand to Jessy, followed by Taylor turning, offering his hand to Chele, followed by Isaac turning, offering his hand to Becky, the entire parking lot, side yard and church was a buzz with word of Hanson arriving with girlfriends. "Momma that's the girl on the yellow horse. You know the one that rode the bull." a little girl said as Zac and Jessy approached. "I don't think so Dear." her mother replied. "No she's right ma'am. This is Jessy, my girlfriend and she rode at the fairgrounds yesterday just like you said on the yellow horse named Buster and that big old awnry bull." Zac said. "Would you sign my work book please. You ride so good. Your horse I mean. Didn't that bull scare you, he sure was big." the little girl said. "What's your name sweetie?" Jessy asked. "Sarah." she answered. "Well Sarah, when you ride you can't let them know you are afraid or you'll be in big trouble fast. But between you and me, I was scared big time." Jessy smiled as she finished signing her Sunday School workbook. They continued on to the front of the church where they were surrounded by a couple dozen kids all asking the same thing "Did you ride that bull like Sarah said?" "Sarah sweetie, I don't think much of your friends, do you know they think you're a liar." Jessy said. "Yeah I know the boys said girls can't ride bulls." Sarah said. "Oh yeah, well you just show them this." Jessy said pulling a picture of her riding the bull from her purse and autographing it for her then handing it over. "I told you she rode that bull. Look." Sarah said and she was instantly the most popular kid at church. "You sure made her day." Zac said kissing her on the cheek holding her tight. "Babe that guy over there is waving at you I think." Jessy said as Zac turned them. "Come on Jessy." Zac said taking her hand and making their way over to the group. "Hey Ash. Guys. I'd like you to meet Jessy, my girlfriend, babe this is Ash, Dave, Mark, Ron, Brian, Corey, and Brandon, guys from the old neighborhood." Zac introduced. "Ain't you the chick on the bull yesterday?" Ron asked. "Yeah Ron that's her, she's a little bashful at times." Zac answered as Jessy stood closer, hanging on tighter. "Man you should have seen the size of that bull. They picked the biggest freaking bull in the pen and send it out for her to ride and she rode it like she had glue on her britches." Ron said. "Zac did you tell them my secrect." Jessy teased. "No babe someone else must have told them about the crazy glue, I didn't say a word, honest." Zac teased. "They're just kidding. That sucker bucked and twisted at the same time and everybody thought she was sailing but she hung in there rode that sucker the whole eight seconds." Mark said. "Who's that with Taylor?" Ash asked. "My sister." Jessy said turning to wave to them. "Who's that with Isaac?" Ash asked. "Jessy's sister." Zac answered. "What the three are sisters? Don't tell me they all ride bulls?" Ash asked. "No man, just Jessy." Zac laughed at the thought of Becky or Chele riding a bull. "What's so funny?" Jessy asked as Zac whispered to her and the both started to laugh. "Hey Ash longtime man. What you been up to?" Taylor asked, adding, "Baby this is my best friend, Ash. Ash man this is Chele, the best thing that's ever happened to me." Taylor said. "Taylor Hanson when did I happen to you?" Chele asked. "Umm last night baby don't you remember?" Taylor asked. "I can't believe you just said that." Chele said really upset and she stormed off. "Chele what?" Taylor asked chasing after her. "You been to Laser Quest lately man, they got a new game really cool." Ash asked. "Nah man, it's been like a month or so since we been." Zac said. "Babe I'm going to see why Zoe looks so sad. Be back." Jessy said kissing him sweetly and heading to his sister. On the walk over she grabbed her cell phone and dialed home and talked to Momma. "Hey Miss Zoe why the sad face?" Jessy asked. "No body play with me." Zoe said. "Well let's see what we can do about that. Follow me." Jessy said and she headed throughout the yard finding little girls to play follow the leader and soon there were ten little girls following Jessy, all smiling and giggling. They back tracked their path and returned everyone where they had picked them up, just as it was time to head in for church services. Jessy and Zoe raced to Mackie. Then the three raced to Avie and Jessie and all five headed to Mom and Dad. "Wow all together without one raised voice. Magic, just plain magic." Walker said motioning to the guys and the family headed in filling a larger sized pew all by themselves. Jessy noticed every tear that made it's way down Chele's face and the growing desperation between her and Taylor. Zac was having as hard of a time dealing, finally laying his head in Jessy's lap. Jessy stroked his hair praying for help in dealing with their separation. As the services ended, "Zac you know my car is just going to sit in the garage, Momma and sisses don't need it and I won't let the boys drive it, so if you want to Zac you can use it or just park it back in the garage." Jessy said. As they made their way outside, Jessy could hear it in the distance. "I won't be needing a ride home, I'm leaving from here. Remember you two both promised me you'd ride for me and you two promised to love my dog. He loves to run so play tag with him, okay? Zac, I'll call you tonight when I hit Cheyenne. I love you Zac and I'm going to miss you so much." Jessy said hugging him then kissing him deeply. "Bye everyone." Jessy said and headed to the street, "Jessy." Chele called, "Sis you ain't coming. Take care of Center business for me while I'm gone." Jessy hollered rounding the truck, hugging Momma and sliding into the driver's seat, pulling away from the curb and heading out before it could sink in.
