Baby You're So Fine
Chapter Nine
"Look at those two." Isaac said. "Sure was a smart move." Ann mumbled. "What?" Isaac asked. "You know Jessy pretending to want to ride with Zac." Ann aswered, adding, "Did you see him light up when she said she'd ride with him." "She's pretending? You think?" Isaac asked. "You think she wants to ride a dirt bike? Get real dear. She knows all about him, you heard her. Of course she knows he loves riding dirt bikes." Ann explained. "If it's true it was a smart move. Zac will adore her for life if she rides with him." Isaac said looking out to see his brother Zac and Jessy making their way hand in hand towards a shed. "Jessy doesn't play girlie games. I'm sure she must ride if she said so." Chele defended. "Did you see the muscles on her? I bet she rides." Kelsey added. "They sure do get along." Taylor said watching as Jessy hopped on Zac's back for a ride the rest of the way to the shed. "I don't think she's pretending baby?" Isaac said pointing at the two bikes racing away from the shed. "So I guess this means your brother will adore her for life. Maybe we ought to go ride dirt bikes." Ann teased. "You on a dirt bike. I laugh." Isaac choked out, quickly adding, "I don't laugh." as Ann scowled at him. "Wouldn't want to be him." Ash whispered bumping into Tayllor. "Me neither." Chele whispered bumping into the other side of Taylor. "You bump nice babe." Taylor shared with a big smile on his face. "You butt." Chele squealed heading to his mother to help clean up. "Awesome trails. This is a real nice place Mr. H." Jessy shared entering the house followed by Zac. "I'm so glad you rode wih me." Zac said. "Oh Zac I had such a great time. I'm so glad you're not a jerk like the rest of them. You know the typical, you're a girl, kind of guy." Jessy replied, turning to face hm as Zac wrapped his arms around her and pulled her back into him. "Thank you Jessy. You two look like you had fun." Walker replied, adding upon being ignored, "I'm talking to myself. I must be getting old, I'm talking to myself.". "You're funny. It was great Mr. H." Jessy squealed. "She rides well." Zac said nuzzling her neck. "Are you hungry again?" Jessy teased. "For you." Zac whispered before asking, "You cooking lunch?" "What? I guess. Okay. You grilling?" Jessy replied turning in his arms to see his father's reaction. "That was nice." Zac sighed into her ear. "Yeah. We fit pretty good." Jessy sighed turning back around gazing into his eyes. "Uh huh." Zac whispered into her ear, hugging her tighter. "So you cook now son?" Walker asked watching Zac's hands caressing Jessy. "Zac your Dad, he asked you if you cook now." Jessy repeated to get his attention. "Huh? Oh yeah Dad." Zac sighed. "I see son but I was talking about grilling something for lunch." Walker replied with a hearty chuckle. "He does both quite well." Jessy shared with a giggle. "He takes after his father." Diana teased entering the conversation. "Don't mind if I do." Walker said wrapping his arms around his wife. "So what we making for lunch?" Diana asked wrapped in Walker's arms. "I don't care. Why not a picnic and eat outside?" Jessy suggested. "Wonderful idea. Actually I picked up...." Diana said grabbing Jessy's hand and pulling her along. Soon the two were busy preparing lunch. "Zac?" Jessy called out not seeing him in the room. "What Jessy?" Zac answered. "Where are you?" Jessy asked. "On the patio. I'm starting the grill." Zac answered. "Oh. That's why I called you." Jessy said making her way outside and down to the patio. "What you got there?" Zac asked about her loaded arms. "Don't know. Your Mom just started loading me up when she heard you were here." Jessy answered as Zac made his way over and helped unload her arms. "Darn. I was hoping you brought something to drink." Zac mumbled taking the last item. "I'll go back and get you something. What do you want?" Jessy asked pecking his cheek and heading back. "I don't care as long as it's wet and cold." Zac called out. "Why do they do this?" Jessy grumbled as she headed to the refrigerator. "Why do men do what dear?" Diana asked. "Oh that was outloud. Sorry. Oh. I asked Zac what he wanted to drink and he goes like, 'I don't care as long as it's wet and cold' on me. I'm no mind reader and I'm sure he has preferences." Jessy explained. "It's a male thing. Just can't commit." Diana chucked, adding, "He prefers Dr Pepper, likes the rest of the pops. He tolerates milk but if you want to get even take him one of those drinkable yogurts. He hates those." Diana replied with a hearty laugh. "One drinkable yogurt coming up. I think I'll have a Dr P." Jessy chuckled making her way back pretending to drink the unopened Dr Pepper. "Here you go babe. Your Mom picked it out for you." Jessy said pretending to sip for the Dr Pepper again. "What? Mom." Zac hollered. "What hun? You said something wet and cold. It is, feel." Jessy said touching the container to his face, adding, "Cold right?" "Yeah it's cold babe. It's just..." Zac started to explain. "I know it's just you don't like them. It would have been easier if you just told me Zac. Here this is really for you, I'll drink this." Jessy said handing him the Dr. Pepper. "You're right. I should have just told you what to bring me." Zac said kisisng her gently. "Couldn't hurt." Jessy sighed as he pulled away, gazing into his eyes, smiling at him. "No couldn't hurt." Zac whispered kissing her harder. "Oh Zac." Jessy moaned stepping into him wrapping her arms around him tighter as she kissed him back even harder and longer. "Man." Zac said breathlessly as they finally pulled back. "Whoa." Jessy sighed deeply before finishing, "That's something. Zac you're a great kisser. I've never been kissed like that. I like it." "Me too Jessy. I like you." Zac replied kissing her gently. "Oh Zac." Jessy whispered with such a big smile before finishing, "I like you too. A lot." They were still gazing at each other, "Thought so. Mother sent me to separate you two. You are to head back to the kitchen and you are to grill these." Walker shared with a chuckle. "I gotta go." Jessy sighed kissing Zac's cheek. "I'll miss you." Zac sighed kissing her gently. "I'll miss you too." Jessy said kissing him tenderly. "Enough already." Walker hollered. "Bye hun." Jessy said kissing Zac sweetly before adding, I'm going. I'm going already." "You I like." Walker shared. "I like you too Daddy." Jessy called out making her way back upstairs. "So was I right?" Diana asked as she entered the kitchen. "Huh? Oh you mean about sending Daddy. Uh huh." Jessy answered with a big smile, adding, "I think your son is just about it." "I'm glad. You I like." Diana replied. "Oh then it's unanimous. That's what Daddy just said." Jessy giggled. "And where are the others?" Diana asked as they were finishing up. "Who knows. Sometimes..." Jessy answered with a pause. "Sometimes what sweetie?" Diana asked wondering what the look on her face was about. "Don't get me wrong I adore Sis. She's my only one so far. It's just sometimes, you know, the age difference is really noticeable and other times it's like were so in touch. I mean do they actually have fun just sitting. Sitting doing nothing. No talking, dancing, playing games or anything, just sitting." Jessy shared, rolling her eyes adding, "Boring." "You and Zac are so alike. I can see him struggle with the same thing. The older boys get into listening to as Zac puts it 'different' mustic and he tries so hard to get it but like you said boring. I'm glad the two of you have met." Diana replied. "I'm glad we met too." Jessy repeated then sighed. "Such a deep sigh. What's wrong?" Diana asked making her way to her, putting an arm around her. "It's just..." Jessy said before her face mirrored the saddnes she felt over, "I have to leave. Right now I really don't want to go but I have to." "When sweetie?" Diana asked hugging her. "A couple more days is all we have." Jessy answered, adding, "I really don't want to go." "Go where?" Zac asked entering the room, asking when he noticed the sadness on her face "Jessy what's wrong?" "The go where, that's what's wrong." Jessy answered trying hard not to cry. "No Jessy." Zac shared shaking his head no. "Yeah Zac." Jessy sighed making her way to him shaking her head yes. "No." Zac insisted shaking his head harder. "Yes." Jessy hollered shaking her head so hard her hair tye came out and her hair whipped from the back to the front. "No I said." Zac yelled pulling his hair tye out and shaking his head no so hard his hair whipped from the right to the left. "Yes." Jessy laughed. "No." Zac laughed harder. "What on earth?" Isaac asked. "A new dance?" Chele asked. "No. No. It's the annual "Battle of the Hair'. Man I think she's got him with the back and forth whip action." Taylor teased and the all laughed. "Just jealous because you cut yours and now you can't play." Jessy teased. "I want to play." Kelsey squealed shaking her head. "Let me in on this." Diana squealed. "Whoa! Make room. Make room." Zac teased. "I haven't got a chance of winning now." Jessy pouted. "Why bother to try." Kelsey sighed. All throughout lunch Jessy and Zac manage to plaster on fake smiles for the sake of the others. "May I be excused?" Zac asked looking to his father then mother before adding, "Oh and Jessy too." "Me? I'm still eating. You go if you want but I know what I made for dessert." Jessy mumbled through her mouth full of food. "Of course son but I saw dessert and you might want to reconsider." Walker answered. "You have to stop looking with your fingers dear. How many times have I told you." Diana scolded. "It is delicious if I say so myself." Walker sighed. "That's okay Zac, I'm fat enough. I can do without the extra bites and dessert. What we gonna do?" Jessy asked. "I thought maybe.." Zac said before leaning and whispering in her ear. "I am stuffed. May I be excused also?" Jessy asked with a big smile on her face. "I don't dare say no." Walker teased. "You better not." Jessy teased back. "Of course sweetie. You two go and have a good time." Diana answered. "Thanks Mom, Dad. We'll be about an hour or two." Zac said rising and taking Jessy's hand. "Zac I better use the bathroom first before we take off." Jessy shared. "Yeah, not a bad idea." Zac said and the two made their way inside hand in hand.
