Baby You'r So Fine
Chapter Six
"What's that?" Jessy asked pointing out her window. "University of Tulsa." Zac answered.
"Where Sis is going?" Jessy squealed. "Yeah Jessy. She could walk to school if she wanted." Zac replied. "Sis. Ummm Zac no she couldn't. That would be asking too much of her in the..." Jessy teased, looking both ways before whispering, "morning" "What are you doing?" Zac laughed. "Just making sure she couldn't hear me. Sis don't like mornings." Jessy replied shaking her head no, mumbling, "Nope, nope, nope." "Thanks for the warning." Zac teased. "Im serious Zac. You just be careful of Sis in the morning. I like you the way you are." Jessy said with a giggle. "What's so funny?" Zac asked. "I was just thinking what a shame it would be if she chewed you a new one because I like the one you got." Jessy choked out and they both laughed, quickly adding, "Watch the road Zac." "You crack me up Jessy. You behave and I'll watch the road." Zac shared shaking his head in disbelief. "Zac?" Jessy asked. "Remember you behave. What Jessy?" Zac answered shaking a finger at her. "I was just wondering, you know the way your brother was looking at my sister. I was wondering if maybe Ash had a girlfriend we could like invite over. You know so he doesn't feel like a fifth wheel. Left out." Jessy asked. "You baffle me. One minute you're cracking me up and the next you do something like this. Or something like giving your new truck to Daniel and his brother. You're pretty special." Zac shared. "Thanks Zac. I think you're special too. Man I thought you'd come unglued when I said I wanted to give away the truck. You were awfully cool about it Zac. Thanks again for understanding." Jessy said gazing at him, smiling back as he reached over taking her hand in his. The blaring horn, turned his attention to the light which had turned green, "When did that change?" Zac chuckled. "When the guy behind you blew his horn. Must be some sort of sound activated light huh?" Jessy teased. "Don't start again." Zac teased back as he pulled into a parking lot. "You push and I'll pickup." Jessy said as they made their way into the store, hopping on the front of the cart for a ride. "You're always willing to pickup aren't you." Zac teased. "It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it. I just choose to do it with a smile." Jessy teased back hopping off and picking up items, asking, "So what you want for supper?" "Like I said I eat anything. You serious about this asking a girl for Ash?" Zac replied. "I'm sure Zac." Jessy said heading to the produce. "How about two more?" Zac asked. "Sure I guess. Who?" Jessy answered with her own questions. "Ike and his girlfriend." Zac answered. "Really. Cool. Yeah Zac I'd like that. Call them." Jessy replied watching as Zac dialed his cell. Jessy was busy picking out vegetables, "All set Jessy, that'll be eight for dinner. They said thanks for the invite." Zac shared. "Eight huh? I think I'll get some more." Jessy said heading back to the bin. "So what you going to feed us?" Zac said following her down the next aisle. "Haven't decided. I'm waiting for the meat case. Then I'll know." Jessy answered picking up things to make dessert. "Maybe you better get more. That looks like it'll be good." Zac suggested with a chuckle. "So you have a sweet tooth huh?" Jessy asked picking up more. "Nah." Zac said shaking his head no then yes, adding, "Yeah." "Mine's like that to. I can do without then all of a sudden there is something I have to have and lots of it too." Jessy shared. "Keep your hands off my stash." Zac teased. "Ummm a stash. What do you keep?" Jessy asked. "Chocolate mostly. I mostly am hiding it from the others. If I don't it's gone the first time I turn my back." Zac replied. "I know. My brothers will devour something that would have lasted me a month. I just hate it when they go through my room." Jessy grumbled. "My sisters are worse. I swear they can sniff out candy." Zac shared and they both laughed. "I just hate it when I hide it so good I forget where I put it. Man once I hid Airheads from my brothers because they'd scarfed theirs. I was cleaning my room and found them about six months later." Jessy explained as they made their way to the meat counter. "So what's it going to be?" the clerk asked after calling out their number. "Those steaks look good. You any good at grilling Zac?" Jessy asked turning to Zac. "Don't know, never get a chance. You'll understand once you meet Dad." Zac answered rolling his eyes. "Oh so Dad is the Chef huh? It's pretty easy Zac, I'll help you." Jessy replied picking out the steaks then heading back for a grill and charcoal. "You got everything?" Zac asked as they made it to the check out lane. "Good thing you asked." Jessy squealed picking out a candy bar, adding, "How about you?" "Do I look dead?" Zac teased. They made their way home and Jessy got busy in the kitchen while Zac put the grill together then got the charcoal going. "Zac you here?" Jessy heard and made her way to the hallway. "He's on the balcony starting the charcoal." Jessy said looking down the stairway spotting his brother and two girls, adding, "Come on up Ike. Maybe you can give him some moral support out there. He said your Dad is a grill hog and he never has had the chance." "You're either brave or crazy." Isaac teased making his way up the stairs. "Both actually. Hi my name is Jessy." Jessy replied leading them out to the balcony. "Since you already know me, this is my girlfriend Ann and this is Ash's girlfriend Kelsey. So you like Tulsa so far?" Isaac asked. "Let's see. I had been in town all of ten minutes and I met your bothers, yeah I like Tulsa. It has so much to offer." Jessy answered making her way to Zac as he turned to her and took her in his arms and kissed her. "Shit you work fast woman." Isaac exclaimed. "Me? It takes two." Jessy replied glaring at him for a little while before laughing. "Man you're teasing. For a minute I thought I'd pissed you off." Isaac said with a chuckle. "Oh you did. I was laughing because your brother was tickling me." Jessy teased straight faced until Zac did tickle her. "She's a real kidder." Zac said as Jessy squirmed in his arms. "Not fair." Jessy squealed until Zac kissed her again causing her to sigh. "I think you deal with it quite well." Isaac teased. "Uh huh." Jessy moaned. "Maybe you ought to have a talk with your younger brother." Ann teased making eyes at him. "Oh and I should ask him what? How to make you sigh like that?" Isaac teased grabbing her and kissing her passionately. "Uh huh." Ann sighed. "He don't need talking to huh?" Jessy teased, adding, "I'll take a hand in the kitchen if either of you are up to the task." "Smells good in here." Ash said carrying in the table top. "Hi hun." Kelsey said leaning back so he could see her. "What are you doing here? This is great. Thanks Jessy." Ash said putting the table top down and making his way across the room as Chele and Taylor made their way in. "Kelsey, Ann, what a nice surprised. Chele this is Isaac's girl Ann and I'm sure you guessed that's Ash's girl Kelsey. This is Chele." Taylor introduced. "Yeah even I figured out that was Ash's girlfriend." Chele teased. "What gave it away? The liplock?" Jessy teased. "Nah I thought she like stopped breathing and he was just trying to save her." Chele teased rolling her eyes. "Smart ass. Let's try some of that mouth to mouth." Taylor said pulling Chele to him and kissing her deeply. "Feel a little out of place huh?" Jessy said turning to Ann. "Totally. Isaac. Isaac can you come here please and kiss me." Ann called out. "Well you're nice." Jessy teased as Isaac came through the door. "Oh if I gotta. Zac. Zac could you come here a minute." Ann chocked out as the room joined the laughter. A few trips later and the furniture in place, "This is nice. Thanks for all your help. You guys are really great." Chele said hugging each of them. "That's dessert. Zac can you put the steaks on?" Jessy asked as a timer sounded. "Sure. Just what I wanted to do." Zac moaned collapsing on the couch he'd just moved into place. "Poor baby." Jessy said straddling him, kissing him deeply then whispering, "I'll put them on if you'll check them in about five minutes." "That's okay Jessy. I'll do it." Zac said, pulling her back down as she began to rise. "That's okay hun. Putting them on is the easy part, let me." Jessy teased pecking his cheek before making her way to the grill with the steaks, calling out, "Five minutes from now hun." The guys manned the grill as the girls set the table and finished preparing. "This is good. You weren't kiddng when you said you were a good cook." Zac said leaning towards Jessy, kissing her cheek. "You thought I was kidding? Man I missed my golden opportunity." Jessy moaned, pouting, "Hey I could have got one of those PlayDoh kits. You know the one that you make hamburgers and french fries with. Man I could have had so much fun." "Mud pies for dessert anyone?. Yuck." Chele squealed. "Nah I don't make mud pies but I do make a mean Dirt Cake." Jessy teased. "I love dirt cake." Ann squealed. "Oh I haven't made one in so long. Mmmm they are so good. Especially the worms." Jessy sighed. "You're kidding right?" Zac asked not sure if they were kidding. "Zac Hanson you know me. Would I kid about food." Ann asked filling her mouth. "Be careful how you answer that." Isaac warned, whispering, "It's that time of the month." "I can't believe you said that." Ann squealed swatting him with her napkin. "Isaac how could you?" Kelsey said swatting him with her napkin. "I don't believe you said that." Chele said reaching across the table swatting him with her napkin. "Swat him for me Zac he's too far away." Jessy asked and when he did, "Take that you, you... oh if I wasn't a lady." "What did I do?" Isaac moaned. "Typical." Jessy squealed rolling her eyes. "Males." Chele squealed rolling her eyes. "What did I do he asks." Kelsey squealed rolling her eyes. "Isaac, Isaac, Isaac." Ann said shaking her head no over and over. "Ann I'm so sorry." Jessy sighed. "It must be so hard to bare." Chele sighed "Such a disappointment." Kelsey sighed. "Oh Isaac." Zac sighed. "You blew it bro." Taylor sighed. "Making us look bad man." Ash sighed. "I forgot what we were picking on him for." Ann squealed and they all laughed. "Great steak Jessy." Ash shared. "Thank Zac he cooked them. Thanks hun, they turned out great." Jessy replied leaning into Zac kissing his cheek then nuzzling his ear, whispering, "You did real good." "We make a good team huh?" Zac suggested. "Oh yeah." Jessy sighed. After dinner, they took their dessert out on the balcony watching the night sky, listening to music, even dancing under the stars. "Gees look at the time. Ashley I'm so grounded if I go home at this hour.." Kelsey squealed. "I still don't understand them. They'd rather you stay out all night then come in after 1 am. Just doesn't make sense. I ain't complaining you can come home with me." Ashley answered. "Yeah and listen to your folks rag on us." Kelsey moaned. "Stay here." Chele offered. "What? You serious?" Kelsey asked. "Sure why not. You don't mind do you Sis?" Chele asked. "Me? Nah. Both of you stay if you want. Shoot all of you stay if you want." Jessy replied and they discussed the possibilities.
