Baby You'r So Fine

Chapter Four

"This should be it." Taylor called out, motioning the girls to the side of the road. "Not too bad." Jessy said looking at the huge old house, adding, "I wonder how many apartments it's cut into?" "Man I hope not too many that our place is dinky." Chele replied as she exited the car and headed to the porch of the house. "Apartment D is mine." Chele called out to the guys who were already on the porch. "Not going to carry anything in?" Jessy called out from the car, standing at the opened trunk. "I want to see it first. I mean if it's a dump, I'm not staying." Chele answered. "Wait for me then." Jessy hollered closing the trunk and racing their way. "Hallway is clean at least." Chele said as they entered. "Must be upstairs. This way." Taylor called out grabbing Chele's hand then heading up the stairs. "This is your town, is this a good neighborhood Zac? I worry about Sis. Man I don't think she's every been alone before, you know had to take care of herself." Jessy asked as they waited for Ash to head up the stairs. "It's okay I guess. Just an old neighborhood so there's a little of everything. You know like old people, young people, there are some black families, some Mexican families just a mixture of everything Jessy." Zac explained, adding, "She should be okay here I guess." "You think?" Jessy asked stopping and turning around. "Oops. Sorry I wasn't paying attention." Zac explained as he ran into her, wrapping himself around her, quickly adding, "I'm not sorry. This is nice." "Yeah it is nice." Jessy whispered wrapping her arms around him, hugging him back, adding, "Wow you have grown. You're as tall as your brothers." "Yeah I guess." Zac replied before looking at the floor. "I like." Jessy whispered. "You do?" Zac asked excitedly, hopping it was true. "Of course I do. I like alot." Jessy insisted running her hands through his hair, adding, "God I'm so glad you didn't cut your hair like your brothers. I just love your hair. I would have died if you'd cut it." Jessy sighed as she gazed into his warm brown eyes, smiling back at him before realizing what she'd just said, "I'm sorry Zac. That's not fair. Your hair and how you wear it is your decision and I shouldn't have said what I did even though it's how I feel." "You like my hair huh?" Zac asked with a smirk. "Yeah I do. I think it's sexy." Jessy answered with a giggle. "Sexy? Hair?" Zac asked looking at her like he didn't believe her. "Yeah Zac. I mean you must get so teased for long hair, but it doesn't phase you. You still stand tall, so confident of yourself. I just think it's so cool. I mean it's you. I couldn't imagine you without it." Jessy whispered twirling his hair around her finger. "Confident? Me? Wow I must be a good actor. Maybe I'm in the wrong field." Zac teased. "You are not." Jessy pouted, releasing her arms, pulling away, then sitting on the step as if the wind was knocked out of her, whispering, "God you not part of Hanson. Bummer. I can't even imagine." "Me either." Zac echoed sitting next to her. "Zac you wouldn't quit would you?" Jessy asked leaning her head onto his shoulder. "Nah Jessy. I really enjoy it all. I mean it's a pain at times but all in all I really enjoy it. Without it I wouldn't have met you." Zac shared wrapping an arm around her. "And I wouldn't have fallen for the hottest drummer of our time." Jessy sighed. "Oh bull." Zac squealed. "No bull. What you don't know you're the best sticks in the business?" Jessy insisted shoving him. "Not likely." Zac replied shoving her back. "Oh maybe you don't think you're a hottie." Jessy teased getting in his face. "So not. You're crazy Jessy." Zac insisted rubbing his nose to hers. "Yeah right now I'm crazy about you." Jessy declared pushing him back onto the stairs before climbing on top of him, kissing him deeply. "Wow I like crazy." Zac moaned as she pulled away. "Me too." Jessy sighed. "Maybe I ought to try it." Zac said in a deep voice before he rolled her over onto the steps, slowing lowering himself onto her. "Crazy is nice." Jessy sighed as Zac neared. "Nice." Zac sighed pressing his lips to hers. "Holy shit. Look at those two." Ash called out. "Maybe you better not look." Taylor squealed turning Chele around quickly. "I'm an adult let me look." Chele insisted, adding. "Holy shit. Get a bucket of water quick." "Oops. We forgot about them." Jessy squealed pointing up at the onlookers. "Let them get their own makeout spot." Zac grumbled before kissing her again. "Ohhhhh." Jessy moaned. "Oh oh she's moaning." Taylor shared. "Like where's the bucket of water." Chele shouted. "Do you swim hun?" Jessy asked into their kiss with a slight giggle. "Yeah I swim." Zac replied into their kiss, pulling away and asking, "You want to go swimming?" "Ummm I must be doing something wrong. What am I doing wrong sis?" Jessy hollered out. "What do you mean?" Chele asked. "I'm in a serious liplock with Zac and he pulls away and asks if I want to go swimming." Jessy explained. "He's no dummy. You in a bathing suit. Smooth moves Zac." Ash shared. "Is that true Zac?" Jessy asked looking deep into his eyes. "Not a bad idea if I say so." Zac answered his hands gliding up and down her body, adding, "You got a bathing suit with you?" "I'm not telling." Jessy whispered looking away. "Please. Tell me Jessy." Zac asked nuzzling her neck. "Not fair." Jessy moaned as Zac trailed his lips down her neck, kissing her tenderly between the breasts before moving to her other ear. "Tell me." Zac whispered nibbling her ear. "Ohhh yes." Jessy moaned. "Whoa I missed something. Is it warm in here?" Chele declared, fanning herself. "I think you're right, it's getting a bit warm." Taylor moaned, leaning against the bannister. "Where'd he learn that?" Ash asked. "I'd like the answer to that." Chele said nudging Taylor. "Don't look at me." Taylor chuckled. "Oh darn." Chele teased heading back down the hall. "Here it is, apartment D." she called, pulling a key from her pocket. "So open it already." Taylor said walking up behind her. "Okay. Okay. Here goes." Chele said as she turned the key in the lock and slowly opened the door. "Not bad. Hey sis come see." Chele called out. "Come on Jessy, let's go see where you live." Zac said giving her a little peck on the cheek before rising and helping her to her feet. "Where I live huh? I wish." Jessy mumbled as Zac pulled her along. "Come on Jessy, stop dragging your feet." Zac hollered dragging her towards the others. "I was having fun back there and all you can think of is...." Jessy pouted planting her feet. "You don't want to know what I was thinking." Zac declared, stopping and turning towards her taking her in his arms, whispering, "You'd slap my face." "Zac Hanson." Jessy squealed then started laughing as she turned red. "Laughter is better than a slap in the face." Zac teased. "Jessy come see." Chele called from the doorway to their apartment. "Coming." Jessy replied, adding, "Come on, let's go see." As she gazed into his eyes and smiled, "Yeah let's go see. I'm going to like you living here." Zac whispered kissing her sweetly before taking her hand and leading her into her new home. "Not bad. It's really clean. Thank God. Bedroom is huge. I really like it Sis." Jessy shared as Zac led her from room to room. "I really like it too." Chele said as they all met back in the living room. "So we move in?" Jessy asked. "We move in." Chele answered. "Okay then we need a truck to go pick up the furniture. I'll call Lucas." Jessy suggested. "I didn't even check, the phone is supposed to be connected." Chele said moving to the wall phone, picking it up, finishing, "It works." "Who's Lucas?" Zac asked. "Lucas? He's someone I've been writing to for a year or so." Jessy explained digging through her purse for her address book. "You've never met him?" Zac asked. "Nah. Met him through my brothers sort of." Jessy replied thinking nothing of it. "Sort of?" Zac asked stepping in front of her as she headed towards the phone. "What Zac? Sort of yeah. My brothers met him through High School Rodeo. They like him and think he's okay" Jessy answered trying to understand what was up with Zac suddenly. The serious look on his face worried her. That along with the change in the tone of his voice made Jessy wonder if something was wrong. "Jessy how well do they know him?" Zac asked as Jessy looked through the address book. "Huh? What's with all the questions?" Jessy asked. "I'm just.. I'm worried... I don't know. Knock yourself out." Zac mumbled before heading away. "What? Zac Hanson get back here." Jessy grumbled. "Forget it." Zac grumbled. "Don't want to." Jessy said heading his way. "Just drop it Jessy." Zac insisted. "No that would be the easy way out and I just love to do things the hard way." Jessy teased making her way to him adding, "Zac I can see where you'd be worried about Lucas being a stranger but honest I think he's okay." "Okay." Zac mumbled turning away looking out the window. "Not okay. I don't understand. Why won't you look at me. What's wrong?" Jessy asked. "Nothing." Zac said shrugging his shoulders. "Nothing huh?" Jessy mumbled turning and heading out the door. "Where you going?" Chele called out. "To the car to carry up boxes." Jessy yelled back racing down the stairs. "Good idea. Wait for me." Chele hollered heading her way. "I'll help." Taylor said as they all headed to move the girls in. "I'll take that." Zac said reaching for the box Jessy had picked up. "I got it. Boy do I got it." Jessy whispered making her way past him heading to the house. "Whoa what just happened?" Ash asked. "Nothing." Zac answered grabbing a box and heading to the house. They met on the stairs, Jessy on her way back down, "Where do you want this?" Zac asked. "I'll be nice. Put it in the living room please." Jessy answered avoiding eye contact as they others appeared. "That don't sound like nothing to me? How about you?" Ash teased. "Nope sounds like something to me." Taylor replied as Jessy glared at him. "Taylor sshhh." Chele whispered bumping him with the box she carried. On the next trip Jessy again turned away, ignoring his attempt to talk to her. "What happened?" Taylor whispered into Chele's ear. "Not sure." Chele answered watching Jessy avoid Zac. "Hey Zac." Taylor called out. "What?" Zac mumbled making his way to the apartment and putting down the box. "What's going on?" Taylor asked as they put down their boxes and Chele and Ash headed back down. "Nothing." Zac answered making his way to the window looking down at Jessy, sighing. "So she makes you sigh now huh?" Taylor asked. "Huh? I guess I didn't notice." Zac replied. "She's a knockout. You two seemed to be getting along real well. I mean the stair episode and now she won't even look at you." Taylor asked. "Man I don't know why I pissed her off." Zac grumbled. "Did you mean to?" Taylor asked. "Nah. I just didn't... I don't know." Zac answered totally frustrated, slapping the window frame, looking away when Jessy looked up. "So what's going on?" Chele asked approaching the car and her sister. "Don't ask me. I just don't get it." Jessy answered shaking her head no. "Don't get what?" Chele asked. "One minute he's all over me and the next it's like... like... like I got the plague or something. He won't tell me what's wrong, what changed." Jessy answered leaning against the car looking up at Zac looking at her. "Hmmm he's just male. He can't help it. I think they have this handbook of all this dumbass rules. Right now he's obeying "Thou shalt now show any sign of emotions". You know he's probably jealous of Lucas and doesn't want to admit to it." Chele shared. "Jealous of Lucas? Why on earth? I haven't met Lucas? What's to be jealous of?" Jessy ranted. "Oh Sis give him a break he's only male. Jessy just think, you meet this girl and get along great. You even take her to MakeOut Point. After that, she says she's going to call this guy she hasn't met yet." Chele suggested. "So. I mean... Do you think? Nah.... Maybe. I don't know." Jessy wondered. "Maybe not. It just seems that the mention of Lucas changed everything." Chele suggested as Jessy picked up another box and headed back up. As Jessy walked through the door, Taylor headed back down giving them privacy. "How many more?" Zac asked watching her put the box down on the kitchen counter. "Just a couple." Jessy answered making her way to the pile of boxes in the living room, sorthing through and delivering them to the appropriate room. "Jessy?" Zac asked. "Yeah Zac." Jessy replied returning from the bathroom. "I'm... I didn't mean. I'm just sorry okay." Zac finally got out. "Why? You said it was nothing. Why be sorry about nothing." Jessy shared without much emotion even though she wanted to scream at him. "It's not nothing." Zac argued. "Sorry. I thought that's what you said." Jessy said avoiding eye contact, adding, "I must not have listened very well." "Oh forget it." Zac grumbled. "Yeah that's what you said. I think." Jessy replied sarcastically turning away. "Jessy listen, it's not nothing. I was worried about you meeting a stranger okay." Zac blurted out loudly. "Yeah it's okay Zac. But I explained he's not really a stranger." Jessy shared. "He is too. I don't want you meeting a stranger okay." Zac grumbled. "Zac to you he's a stranger but he's not to me. I honestly don't think of him that way. You know a stranger. Honest Zac I didn't think twice about calling him to ask him to haul the furniture. I'm sure he'd do it." Jessy argued. "Yeah I would too." Zac grumbled. "You probably would if I'd asked you. But Zac I don't know if you have a truck. I'm sorry that's one rumor I never heard that Zac Hanson drives a pickup truck. I mean we've talked about your hot bod, your sexy hair, your talent, how nice you seem but never taked about what you drive. Do you drive a pickup truck Zac?" Jessy finally asked. "No I don't drive a pickup Jessy. But I could get one." Zac answered. "You could get one? Borrow one, buy one." Jessy asked. "Hey if I gotta I'll buy one." Zac teased. "You goof. Okay Zac go buy a pickup truck." Jessy teased. "Okay. You wait right there." Zac hollered as he headed out the door. "Zac Hanson get back here." Jessy hollered racing to the hall, looking down the stairwell seeing Zac jump the last three or four steps, heading to the door. "Zac wait." Jessy hollered racing down the stairs reaching the porch in time to see the guys pulling out. "Wait." Jessy screamed after them.
