Jessy interrupted, adding, "Honest I'll be okay. I just miss you so much." "Know what I miss most?" Zac asked. "Umm me taking off my clothes?" Jessy teased. "Ohhhh. I try not to think of that." Zac moaned, adding, "It makes it almost unbearable." "Zac? Zac you still there?" Jessy asked of the silence. "Uh huh." he finally answered. "I wish I hadn't called now." Jessy said with such sadness, fighting the tears, adding, "I guess I'll let you go now that I totally bummed you out too." "No Jessy. I'm sorry. I was quiet because I was remembering not because I was bummed." "Oh." Jessy whispered. "So you called me because you're bummed huh?" Zac asked. "Yep." Jessy mumbled. "Why?" Zac asked. "Cuz I miss you." Jessy answered. "Why?" Zac asked with a chuckle. "Cuz you're in LA and I'm not." Jessy answered with a giggle, adding, "How's it going?" "It's going. I wish you were here." Zac pouted. "Zac you know I would if I could. It's just.." Jessy tried to explain. "I know. I know. I shouldn't have asked Jessy. I know you'd be here with me if you could. When is the voting over?" Zac interrupted and then asked. "Oh that. They should announce it before last hour. I'm sure Venita or Ashley will get it. No big deal. Either way I'll be busy as part of the Court so I wouldn't be able to be with you all the time even if you could come Zac." Jessy answered not too excited. "So you're saying you'd ignore me if I came?" Zac teased. "Like I could if I tried. Oh Zac if I saw you right now I'd hug you so tight and never let go." Jessy gasped fighting back the tears. "Don't cry babe. I wouldn't let go of you either." Zac replied, adding, "That's what I miss most, holding you in my arms." "Oh Zac." Jessy sighed, before adding, "Wait you're saying.... you'd rather hug me than watch me... strip." "No way." Zac squealed. "That's what you said. You miss hugging me more than watching me take my clothes off. That's stripping Zac. You know like when we took of my sweatshirt or in the dressing room." Jessy teased. "Ohhhh I remember that." Zac moaned. "You better. You were there." Jessy teased. "Yeah I was." Zac moaned. "If you weren't I never would have taken my clothes off. Nope, nope. nope." Jessy teased. "Nope, nope, nope. Just for me, me, me." Zac teased back. "Yep. I miss you so much Zac." Jessy sighed. "Yeah babe. Me too." Zac sighed. "So how's the recording going?" Jessy asked to change the subject. "It's going." Zac answered his mind on other things. "Sis wrote and I guess Tay told her things were going real well. Said you would be putting down tracks soon." Jessy shared. "Uh huh." Zac answered. "So you really going to appear topless on the album cover?" Jessy asked. "Uh huh." Zac answered. "Bottomless too?" Jessy asked." Uh hu.... hey what are we talking about?" Zac asked suddenly aware of what she'd said. "You don't know? Zac I'm hurt. Don't you listen to me?" Jessy asked pretending to be hurt before finishing, "We were talking about the dress I'm going to buy for Homecoming." "What! Huh? Topless and bottless too?" Zac asked. "Oh Zac I was teasing. You have to admit you weren't listening to me were you?" Jessy replied. "Nah babe. Man Jessy I was thinking about..." Zac answered before trailing off again. "Me stripping?" Jessy asked. "Uh huh!" Zac moaned. "Zac I need to see you. I know I said I wouldn't have time to spend with you if you came but I sure wish you could." Jessy pouted. "I'll try babe. You know I will right?" Zac answered. "I know you'll be here as soon as you can. I'm sorry Zac, I'm just feeling sorry for myself." Jessy admitted. I love it when you're sorry!." Zac teaseed. "I love you so much Zac." Jessy said laughing heartily. "I know babe and I love you even more." Zac shared. "Oh I better go or we'll be late for school. Call me later?" Jessy asked. "Always. Practice after school?" Zac asked. "Yeah. You know the drill so well. Talk to you tonight. Bye Zac, I love you." Jessy answered. "Love you too babe. Bye Jessy." Zac said hanging up. "Come on sis. We'll be late." her brother Sam called out. Jessy made her way to school. First and Second period flew by. As she entered class for third period, "Congratulations Jessy." Mr D'Orenzio welcomed. "For what Mr. D?" Jessy asked. "Oh I see you haven't been told yet." Mr. D'Orenzio answered. "So you going to tell me?" Jessy asked making her way to his desk. "I should probably wait for the office to get in touch with you. I assumed they had." he answered. "Come on Mr. D. Don't keep me in suspense." Jessy asked again noticing the computer screen and adding, "Cool layout. Why don't you move this down here and then you can make this bigger, you know so it stands on more." "Go for it kiddo. I was going to ask you to finish it anyway. It's for the Coach." Mr D'Orenzio answered. "I don't know. Mr. Coady ticked me off this morning. 'Hey Jessy get your brothers to play for me.' he calls out then gets everyone around to tease the same thing. Major embarassing. I'm avoiding is hallway. Do you know how far out of the way I'll be going?" Jessy moaned as she sat down at the keyboard and started making the changes. "Mr D'Orenzio please send Jessica Pursey to the office." the PA system announced. "You never told me." Jessy squealed. "Saved by the bell." Mr D'Orenzio said pointing to the door, adding, "To the office young lady and congratulations." As she headed down the hallway, "Congratulations Jessy." Mi Coady called to her. "You too! How come everyone knows what's going on except me?" Jessy asked. "You're on the way to find out. Oh and ask those brothers to come play for me." Mr Coady replied with a chuckle. "Hey Mrs Garrod. Do you know why I was called to the offiice?" Jessy asked entering the office. "Oh congratulations sweetie. Jessy I'm so proud." Mrs Garrod replied with a big smile and tears filling her eyes. "What?" Jessy asked hugging her. "Well your Majesty, I'm glad to see you." Mr. Overly said stepping from his office. "Huh?" Jessy asked looking around for Venita or Alicia. "Jessy you were elected Homecoming Queen." Mr Overly said noticing her looking around. "Me? What? I don't believe it." Jessy said, quickly adding, "Can I call home?" "Of course I'm sure your Mother would love to know." Mr Overly said. "Here use this line." Mrs Garrod added handing her the phone. After calling home, Jessy headed back to her Keyboarding Class. "Your Majesty." Mr D'Orenzio said as she entered the room and the PA announced that Jessy had been elected Homecoming Queen and the Brandon Olds had been elected King. "Mr D can I make a call?" Jessy whispered sitting in the chair by his desk. "Sure Jessy." he answered picking up the phone. "No I have a cell. It's just for better reception I need to step outside." Jessy asked. "Oh I see, him. Sure Jessy the back door but don't go too far. I'll keep the rest away." Mr. D'Orenzio replied. "You're the greatest." Jessy squealed heading to the back door, stepping through it as she dialed Zac's cell, muttering, "Thank God you gave me this. Answer Zac. Answer." Receiving no answer she dialed his Dad's numbers then finally dialed the house, "Hello." Diana answered. "Mom. Thank God you're home. I tried reaching Zac. He must be recording. Oh I so wanted to tell him. Mom I've been elected Homecoming Queen." Jessy squealed. "Oh my Jessy, how wonderful. Royalty in the family. Your Majesty." Diana replied. "I'm in class so I gotta go. I just wanted him to know." Jessy shared. "You're right sweetie, they're recording. I heard from Walker about fifteen minutes ago, he said they were heading into the booth." Diana replied. "Just tell him for me Mom. I'll talk to him tonight anyway." Jessy asked. "Of course sweetie. Walker always checks back in when they're out of the booth so he'll know right away Jessy." Diana assured. "Love you Mom. Talk to you later." Jessy replied. "Love you too sweetie. Congratulations your Majesty. We're so proud dear. Talk to you later sweetie. Bye." Diana said and the line went dead. Jessy headed back into class, counting down the three days until Homecoming.
