They were checked out of the hotel, the buses were packed, wardrobe and equipment was packed in one semi, the stage was almost taken down and it was just a little after noon. "Isaac leave her alone, she must need her sleep." Mom said as he quietly opened the door to see is she was still asleep. "Isaac?" she asked. "Yeah babe. Just checking to see if you were still sleeping, stardom tuckers you out." he teased. "No making mad passionate love to my husband tuckers me out. Stardom is a piece of cake." Kaitlyn corrected him. "You ready to get up for a while. Or you going to be a lady of leisure all day?" Isaac asked sitting at her side caressing her cheek. "You can get me up please?" Katlyn asked and he pulled her to her feet. "I'm hungry, gotta pee, and I missed you." Kaitlyn informed him. "Well bathroom, kitchen, back here then." Isaac said and they headed out to the bathroom. "There's our little star." Daddy said. "Give me a minute I gotta go." Kaitlyn said heading into the bathroom and then returned to sit on Daddy's lap. "So we finally weigh something?" Kaitlyn asked. "Boy how do I say this without getting in trouble if I say yes, she'll think she's gotten heavy, if I say no, she'll be upset that she hasn't gained a pound after all that work. Isaac, come get your wife before I put myself in the dog house and we didn't bring one." Daddy said and the room laughed. "That's my baby..." Mom was interrupted by the entire room in unison "and those are my grandbabies and you be careful not to hurt her feelings or you answer to me." "I am shocked you would say such a thing that's for me to say." Mom laughed and they all joined her. "Isaac did you check on the tape yet?" she asked. "Yeah babe with Dad and the guys. We all like it. Called Chris and he's coming to the Tallahasse show and wants to know how far you want to take your stardom. He says right now you name it you can have it." Isaac said. "Isaac my career is by your side as you wife, then to our three girls, and yeah I enjoyed singing last night, but I'm not taking it anywhere you aren't and that's that. Chris doesn't have to waste his time, didn't you tell him that's what I would say." Kaitlyn said. "Almost word for word but he's coming any way." Isaac said. "Kool I guess." she said as the Chele, Jessy, Tay and Zac got things out for their last meal in Atlanta. "If this is going to be awhile, Isaac?" Kaitlyn said. "Where do you want to go, Ice Cream, Pizza, Chinese, Burgers?" Isaac asked. "Yes." Kaitlyn said and the group laughed. "One of each please." Zac laughed. "This is all your fault, you should have had lunch ready." Isaac said. "Daddy I'm hungry can we go get something now please?" Kailtlyn asked. "Sure baby, Diana want to go for ice cream with us?" Dad asked. "Love to. Dad?" Mom asked. "Count me in, Miss Zoe, Mackie, Jessie, Avie want to go with Grampa and get ice cream?" Grampa asked and they all made a beeline for the van. "Come on Little Momma." Grampa moaned pulling her to her feet. "Grampa I'm not that heavy." Kaitlyn pouted. "See Dad just can't win." Dad teased, adding, "Now I was leaning to the haven't gained any weight answer dear." They were headed to the door, "Wait, where are you going?" Isaac asked. "Hun I said I'm hungry now." Kaitlyn said. "We're going for ice cream." Dad said. "If you behave, you can come along too." Mom said. "Us too?" Taylor, Chele, Zac and Jessy asked putting things back. "Only if you behave, I'll have my eye on you five." Mom warned and the six stood discussing as Grampa and the kids were playing in the shade while Kaitlyn waited for Daddy to bring the van over. "Grampa I don't feel good, where's Isaac." Kaitlyn said feeling faint. "Isaac now." Grampa yelled. "Kaitlyn you hang on." Grampa said. "I was so hot, now I'm cold." Kaitlyn said as Isaac picked her up. "Heat stroke, get her in the bus." Mom said. "No I'm cold." Kaitlyn said. 'You just feel cold, you're not baby." Mom said. "Jessy, Chele grab a couple bottled waters and bring light foods." Mom said as she grabbed an ice bag, a wetted a couple of wash cloths. "Here Mom. What else can we do?" Chele asked. "Get more wet rags and cool her down, Walker crank up the air." Mom said dialing the phone. "Dr Baker please I think Kaitlyn is suffering from heat stroke. I'm sorry this is Diana Hanson." Mom waited. "Diana has she been in and out all day?" Doc Baker asked. "No she's been in air conditioning all day. She was out only four or five minutes. She complained of being hot, than cold and she wasn't sweating like the rest of us." Diana said. "I'd keep her in air conditioning during the day time until Indianapolis, if she doesn't come out of this within ten minutes take her to the nearest emergency room and have them call me for instructions." Dr Baker said. "She's looking better already. She was so white and now the pink is coming back." she shared. "Isaac I'm hungry. I'm okay but I"m hungry still." Kaitlyn said. "Here Kaitlyn try this." Jessy said. "Jessy make me a peanut butter and banana sandwich would you?" Kaitlyn asked. "Sure thing" Jessy said turning and rolling her eyes at Mom. "Her appetite is back. I think we're out of the woods. We will be more careful. Thank you Dr. Baker." Mom said. "That's what I'm here for. We'll here from you in the morning goodbye." Dr. Baker said. "Baby you sure had me scared. I'm glad you're better." Mom said hugging Kaitlyn. "Mom I didn't mean to. I don't know what happened." Kaitlyn whispered. "I think you have a thermostat problem. Dr. Baker said to keep you in airconditioning during the daytime until we hit Indianapolis. That won't stop you from singing with Isaac, you'll be in air conditioning until sunset and then you can go on stage for the beginning and go back to air until you sing." Mom said. "Mom I don't care about that, what about the girls." Kaitlyn said. "They weren't in danger baby, you were. But you're better now and we won't let this happen again. Baby I'm sorry, I never thought about it. I had the same problem." Mom said "So I just have to keep my cool huh?" Kaitlyn asked."That's all baby, 11a to 7p you are indoors in air coniditioning until we are out of the south." Mom said. "I'm full now but still thirsty." Kaitlyn said. "I'll go get her something Isaac you sit with her and assure her she's getting better and that the girls were never in danger." Mom said leaving and returning with another bottled water. "Thanks Mom." Kaitlyn said opening the bottle and drinking a third of it. "Aaaahh Now I'm better." Kaitlyn said her eyes getting big. "What?" Isaac asked. "Now I gotta pee. Get me up and come with me?" Kaitlyn asked. "I'll just carry you." Isaac said. "Let me try to stand. I do feel better." Kaitlyn said. "You're so impossible at times." Isaac said. "That means yes." Kaitlyn smiled as he pulled her to her feet and they made it to the bathroom. "I'd like a shower." Kaitlyn said as she flushed. "Sure. You sit here I'll get you a night gown and be right back." he answered putting the lid down and making sure she sat down. He was back in a matter of minutes with a sundress at Mom's insistence to not to treat her like a baby and put her to bed. "Need help?" Isaac asked. "Start the shower?" she asked pulling her top over her head and pushing her shorts and panties down, heading for the shower. "You're not going to join me are you? I was scared too." Kaitlyn whispered stepping into the shower and closing the door. Kaitlyn moved ito the spray letting her tears fall. She was washing he hair when he finally entered. "Let me do that for you." Isaac said finishing and putting her under the spray to rinse. "Are you trying to drowned me on purpose here?" She said spitting water. "Oh I'm sorry I was sort of distracted." Isaac said and Kaitlyn opened her eye to see him staring at her. "Isaac hold me tell me it's okay." Kaitlyn cried. "Oh baby of course it's okay. We just learned something new the scary way again. You got a bum thermostat when it comes to heating and cooling for four." he teased. "You sure. You're not just saying so to make me feel better. Are you?" she asked. "No Kaitlyn I heard Mom and Doc Baker. The girls are fine and you will be and we'll make sure it doesn't happen again." Isaac said holding her tight. "I was scared too. I can't tell you how scared I was about losing you." he said holding her tighter. "Me too. Before I started to pass out I looked at the fear in your eyes and thought about you having to go on without me. I refused to pass out, I fought back." Kaitlyn said. "I'll always fight, I'll never let anybody take me from you again." she whispered and kissed him with her whole heart. "Now I'm cold." Kaitlyn said as she stepped from the shower. Wrapping a towel around her she opened the door, "Daddy I got goose bumps on my goose bumps, I'm cold." Kaitlyn said and Daddy headed to the thermostat. She returned and they got dressed. When they came out, lunch was on the table. After lunch they secured everything for the trip and one by one the buses pulled out followed by the semis and they made their way to the interstate, heading south.
