"I love the two of you more than life itself. Sleep tight Kaitlyn. I'll be with you in your dreams, Isaac's words came back to her at the sound of the ringing phone. "I love you Isaac" Kaitlyn answered. "I love you too Kaitlyn soon to be Hanson." Isaac said. "I can't wait. The last six years were a piece of cake compared to the next ten days. I don't know how I'm going to make it. I miss you so much." Kaitlyn said and got quiet. "Don't Kaitlyn. If my calling is going to make you cry than I just won't call." Isaac said. "No, I won't cry promise. Don't go." Kaitlyn said heaving one last sigh. "Isaac, whoa. I have to go potty if I fade out I'm walking real fast. That was strange one minute I'm fine then wham. Oh no I got the yucks." Kaitlyn said and he heard the toilet flush and the sink running. "Man I don't feel good. Mary. Mary." Kaitlyn called as she went down. "Kaitlyn, John get in here. Kaitlyn, wake up. Come on Kaitlyn." Mary said trying to wake her. "Out of the way woman. Kaitlyn wake up now. Do you hear me. That a girl. No don't fight it. Come on. What's this about?" John asked pulling the smelling salts back. "I don't know I was fine talking to Isaac...Oh my God Isaac. The phone. Honey I'm okay. At least I think I am. I was fine, then I had to pee like now with no warning. After I peed when I stood up, I felt real queasy and when I splashed water on my face, that's the last thing remember. I'm getting a ride back to bed. Thanks John." Kaitlyn said giggling. "I'm going to eat you talk." she said. "Kaitlyn you don't want to hear what I've got to say. I can't do this, I should be there with you. What if you had hit your head on the way down, or... I should be with you is all." Isaac said. "Isaac the baby is fine. I wouldn't let anything happen to her. Here you talk to her." Kaitlyn said putting the phone to her belly. "What ever you said, tell her again, I think she's what was wrong." Kaitlyn said outloud as a peace came over her and she felt much better. "I don't know what you said but I feel much better, I'm sure she must. Thanks." Kaitlyn said sighing. "I just told her how much she was loved and to take care of you for me." Isaac said. "How sweet. I love you both." Kaitlyn said. "Kaitlyn are you really feeling better?" Isaac asked. "I felt better when I asked you to repeat yourself and when you did I was really feeling good. Such ups and downs." Kaitlyn said grabbing another bar and devouring it in three bites. "I'm hungry I just ate one of those bars, gone not a crumb. I think I may have inhaled it, one minute it was there then nothing. Just an empty wrapper. I keep this up I'll be a cow before the wedding and won't fit into my dress. Don't even think about it." Kaitlyn said. "How did you know I was going to peek?" Isaac asked. "Don't know just had a glimpse of you, reading the note that tells you not to peek so you did." Kaitlyn said. "Oh Mary thanks I'm starving. You're so good to me. I love you. I love you both." Kaitlyn said hugging them both, tears filling her eyes. "Mary and John just brought me breakfast." Kaitlyn said stuffing her mouth. "God Kaithlyn you'd think you hadn't eat in a days and were starving." Sandy said and Kaitlyn just nodded her head, putting another mouthful in and sighing. Kaitlyn took a big drink of milk. "Isaac you still there. I'm sorry I was starving though. You're daughter makes me real hungry at times." Kaitlyn said. "As long as she doesn't make you throw it up, it's fine." Isaac said. "Kaitlyn no one is going to take your food you don't have to stand guard." Sandy said "Come on in guys, look at this. Ken pickup the phone and tell Isaac what she looks like." Sandy said. "Jesus Kaitlyn I'm after the phone not your food. Isaac you still here?" Ken asked "Yeah, what's up?" Isaac asked. "Oh your Kaitlyn is a little, say primitive right now. You know like an animal staking claim to its meal. She growled at me when I reached for the phone. I'm lucky to have my hand." Ken said. "Sorry man, I had no idea." Isaac laughed. "She had a stack of six pancakes and they're almost gone. Can't have been three, four, five minutes tops since she got them." Ken said. "What a lovely picture. You be careful when they're gone. Remember the Donner Party." Isaac joked. "Shit man. Isaac said we should be ready to split when her foods gone or we may be next. Maybe you ought to run and I mean run and bring some more." Ken warned. Dave made a beeline for the kitchen. As Kaitlyn was licking her fingers, Dave returned with a short stack. Kaitlyn's eyes got big, "For me. Aww you're so nice to me. Thanks Dave, you're such a sweetheart. If I wasn't getting married." Kaitlyn said shaking her head then looking at Sandy. "I'm going down to breakfast, join me Dave." Sandy asked. "Sure. You coming Ken?" Dave asked. "Be right there. Isaac I need a favor? My girl is flying in Friday for the wedding, should be there at 6:00 and John guarantees we'll be there in time to get her, but just in case we're not and she has to take a cab, we need the address to the house." Ken said. "You guys don't want to go to the airport, that's out of the way. Why don't I just arrange for car service for her, than no one has to worry. We have a good service we use. What's the flight number, why did I ask that we made the reservations. We'll do it that way. Tell her to look for her name on a little white easel board. That will be her driver." Isaac said. "You're the greatest man. Thanks. I'll tell her. It's looks like Kaitlyn is a lady again, would you like to talk to her?" Ken asked. "You sure it's safe?" Isaac teased. "Yeah she's got that peaceful glow again. Here she is and bye." Ken said handing Kaitlyn the phone. "Bye Ken." Kaitlyn relayed the message. "Kaitlyn are you there?" Isaac asked. "Yeah I'm here. This is so unreal. I don't remember eating the first plate of pancakes but they're gone and my tummy feels full. Wish you were here you could rub it but you might not stop there and then you know what would happen." Kaitlyn said. "I know what I'd like to happen." Isaac said. "What?" Kaitlyn asked. "Isaac are you still there?" Kaitlyn asked. "Yeah I had to leave the room so I could tell you that I'd rub aand kiss your tummy and while I was kissing your tummy, I'd let my hand slip down between your legs and I'd rub you until you moaned my name screaming for me to take you." he said "Oh Isaac I want you." Kaitlyn said. "Then I'd climb on top of you, kissing you everywhere, I'd suckle at your breast until I felt your body reaching for me then I'd make my way inside you, deep inside you and then I'd make love to you and collapse in your arms and you'd hold me, stroking my hair the way you do, loving me." Isaac said. "I do love you Isaac" Kaitlyn sighed. "I know you do, I've always known you were the one for me. That day I took you to the treehouse, and I took your hand in mine. I'd taken you hand so many times before only to have you pull away. But that day, you didn't pull it away, you looked up at me and smiled. I knew then that you loved me Kaitlyn and from that point on you've been the only woman for me. I could see that in your eyes." Isaac said. "Isaac that's More Than Anything." Kaitlyn said. "Yes you are. Kaitlyn I told you, you're just about every song we've recorded and there are a hundred that we haven't recorded. You were my inspiration and now you are my life. You and our baby." Isaac said. "I have to go or I'm going to cry and you know how you hate that. I love you and I thank God everyday for allowing me that pleasure and now our baby Jane. I'm so blessed." Kaitlyn said. "We are blessed, in spite of everything they took from us those six years, we are truly blessed." Isaac said. "I'll call you tonight. We love you." Kaitlyn said hanging up. "He loves us so, we are so lucky." Kaitlyn said touching her belly.
Because of her fainting, Kaitlyn was assigned the center from that point on. She busied herself bringing the center into the world of computers, buying and donating the center's first computer. She spent all her time inputting and connecting them to the outside world. Within days the entire town was at the center learning as much as they could about computers. Kaitlyn purchased two more and had an additional line put in so the town could use the computers. She held a class teaching the basics to anyone who was interested. John and Mary were shocked when the entire town showed. They ended up walking to the church and Kaitlyn preached computers to the town. John was fascinated. He and Kaitlyn would spend every extra minute at the keyboard, opening his world up.
One morning, they were in the center at the computer,"You're are going to be able to carry on for me. I know it now. That's why all this interest." Kaitlyn told him. "No I'd do anything to be able to spend time with you little one. Even learn about computers." John teased. The buzzer sounded and they looked up, "Isaac what are you doing here." Kaitlyn screamed racing to him, throwing her arms around him and kissing him. "I came after that. No here's your answer." Isaac said as the attorneys came through the door. "Morning Kaitlyn, I'd like you to meet my friend and your other attorney Lee Bailey, F. Lee Bailey. Lee this lovely young lady, the future Mrs. Isaac Hanson, is Kaitlyn Diana King for three more days." Mr. Smith said. "My pleasure Kaitlyn and you are lovely. I see now why Isaac smiles so." Mr Bailey said. "Thank you. Gentlemen I'd like you to meet my John Smith, a man I've learned to admire and love as a father these short weeks. These are my attorneys, John Smith and Lee Bailey." Kaitlyn introduced. "Before you ask, my John Smith is married to Mary." she added. "John and Mary Smith, original. You must have heard them all?" Mr. Bailey said as Kaitlyn made her way back to Isaac's arms to hear they were here to get John and Mary's signature, so they could pick up the license that afternoon and that the District Attorney was prepared to go ahead and charge her father. "That's right Kaitlyn and I need to know that you are sure. That you understand everything that will happen. I need to see in your eyes that you realize that you will have to face the man and woman that gave you life and tell them how they hurt you physically and emotionally." Mr. Bailey asked his eyes fixed on her. "I understand, I want them held accountable even for a brief moment. I want them to know they are better than anyone else, and they had no right to treat me the way they did. I'm a living thing not a possession to be dealt with when they saw fit. And he had no right to lift his hand to me, to beat me into submission, because he was not man enough to control his own emotions. I want to face them and tell them to their faces. I want the world to watch me stand up for the child I could never be because of them. If just one person watching is saved from striking a child, or treating them like they don't matter, it will all be worth it. But most of all, I'm doing this for her. I want her to know that her mother did matter." Kaitlyn said touching her belly. "Thank you Kaitlyn. I needed to know. Well I say let's get this show on the road. We were thinking tonight, 6pm news conference, District Attorny, State's Attorney General, Governor Keating and we will represent you and announce and read the charges and give him forty-eight hours to surrender or the warrant will be issued. That means for your wedding he will either be in jail, or a fugitive of the law." Mr Bailey said. "Kaitlyn, Isaac get her outside in the fresh air. Kaitlyn breathe. Come on. You haven't done this in almost a week. Come on girl breathe. That's better." John said as Kaitlyn rose and leaned against Isaac. "Better" John asked. "Yeah but I'm starving now. I think we're having a drama queen. She sure doesn't do anything quiet and refined." Kaitlyn laughed. "Isaac Mom and Daddy know and approve of this right?" Kaitlyn asked. "Of course they do. You know they are behind you 100% Kaitlyn." Isaac said. "I know, I guess I just wanted reassurance, this will affect their lives so." Kaitlyn said shaking her head. "Then get this show on the road." Kaitlyn said. "Then let's get the Smith's signatures and we'll head back, pick up Walker and go to City Hall. They were headed back to Tulsa but Isaac stayed for lunch to experience Kaitlyn's possessive food habits. He laid with her for her afternoon nap. "Isaac son there is a Mr. Jones here for you." John said waking Isaac. "Good that's Kaitlyn's body guard. He'll be here if he can sleep in the shelter and untl he brings her home." Isaac explained. "You care so much. It shows. He's more than welcome. Better safe than sorry." John said. "Isaac. Don't go." Kaitlyn whimpered. "Kaitlyn I'm not leaving it's just your bodyguard is here." he explained. "My what? You are possessive aren't you. Not taking any chances huh?" Kaitlyn joked. "That's right. Not taking any chances, he'll be with you when I'm not." Isaac said. "Oh I hope he's as cute as you are." Kaitlyn said. "Kaitlyn Hanson!!" Isaac said knowing it pleased her so.
