They piled into the Limo, "Well Chris this is your town, what can we do with six minors?" Barbara asked pulling out an appointment book, looking at all the notes and letters, sorting through them. "Lots if they were normal minors, but the six we have are going to turn heads no matter where we go." Chris said. "Here, see if any of these sound good." Barbara said passing out the invitations to different parties and events the girls had received for tonight. "Here's an under age Night Club." Chris said. "Here's an invitation to the Yankees double header, we could still make the second Game." Walker said and the car erupted it's approval. Barbara dialed her cell phone and accepted the invitation explaining they were on their way and they were bringing guests. "Owner's skybox is all ours." she said buzzing the driver. "We've decided on the Yankee game, you're welcome to stay or I'll call when we're ready to be picked up." "Ma'am I'm a big Yankee fan. I'll stick around. I know right where to go to get to the skyboxes." the driver explained. Before they knew it they were greeted by someone from Marketing, gifted with hats and shirts and escorted to the skybox. "We'd appreciate the girls making an appearance with the team, if they wouldn't mind?" the Yankee rep asked. "Girls you up for it?" Momma asked. "But we're not really dressed for it." Chele explained. "You look great." Taylor exclaimed shocked by his candor. "Thanks Tay but this and the whole team. I'd feel so out of place in a red leather suit." Chele explained. "Try green." Kristina complained. "I like my blue leather suit, don't look at me, but I'd rather be wearing that." Jessy said pointing at the ball boy. "Great idea. Come with me. I do have clothes small enough for you." the rep said. Momma and the girls followed him. As the first game ended the three were introduced to the team. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I'd like to introduce the newest players on the New York Yankees, numbers Jessy #13, Chele #16, Kristina #18, Barbara #00. I'm told the numbers represent their age, and they didn't have a shirt that said "None Of You Business" so she settled on #00. Come on out girls." the announcer said and the girls headed out on the field and met the Yankees. They took the field for fun! Barbara was paired up with the pitcher, Chele was paired up with the short stop, Kristina was paired with the first base man and Jessy was paired with the third base man. "Hey folks here's something I bet even they don't know. Our third base people and her mother the pitcher lived less than 30 miles from each other. Small world isn't?" the announcers said, adding, "This ought to show you how things have changed, the pitcher admits to play ball only in the neighborhood when enough boys didn't show up, the first base woman, says she got to play softball only, the short stop, tells us she played softball only in school, but in the neighborhood she got to play baseball and wasn't always the last one picked (she says she really hustles, can't wait Chele can't wait) and our youngest third base woman, says let me at them, played t-ball, b-ball and she waiting for her chance at the big league. Raring to eh Jessy? No remember guys whatever you do, don't let them break a nail." the announcer laughed as the stadium roared. Bararaa's circular arm movement pitching style amused them but got the job done and when she struck out a real Yankee she was cheered and he was booed. The first hit went between first and second and landed the player on first. The next player bunted close to the pitcher mound and Barbara hustled, throwing it to second, throwing the runner, who had foolishly picked up Kristina and carried her with him to second, claiming he would miss her, out and the second base man threw the batter out at first. The crowd booed the runners as they headed back to the dugouts. "One more Barbara you can do it. Oops I'm suppose to remain impartial. You go girl." the announcer yelled and the stadium cheered. "And here's the pitch oh no it's a hit between second and third and she's right folks, look at that girl fly. Way to go Chele that's three outs, let's see if these girls can hit." the announcer said as Chele hustled and jumped to catch the hit. "Way to go Sis." Jessy screamed. "Great catch Chele." Derek Jeter said smiling. "Ouch ouch ouch" Chele screamed pulling her glove off and shaking her hand. "Let me see?" Derek asked taking her hand and kissing it. "Whoa what's this an injured player and Jeter to the rescue." the announcer teased and Chele turned red and ran to the dugout, looking up seeing Taylor standing in the skybox staring. "Oh great, just what I need." Chele mumbled. "What was that? You're not smiling baby, come here." Barbara said. "Oh Momma look at Taylor." Chele said. "Cool that shade of green suits him well." Barbara said. "You think? I figured he was just disgusted with the whole thing, you know the attention, the droolers." Chele said. "I think you are exactly what that young man needs. A run for his money." Barbara laughed and she smiled. "Now our first batterette the lovely Kristina our eldest. Give it your best shot. Here's the wind up and the soft pitch and it's a bunt folks. Look at that girl run. Come on there, give her a break. Oh now that's team work. She's safe at first thanks to the minor distraction we have on the field. Way to go Chele, Jessy." the announcer broadcasted his approval of their sexy dance on the sidelines, distracting the players. "Next up our little mover, Chele. Let us see what you're made of." the announcer said as Chele took the first pitch hitting it over the reach of the first baseman. "Must be a hot day, it looks like she's taking off the shirt." the announcer said. "Gotcha" he quickly added as the girls made it safely to their bases and Jessy smiled innocently smoothing her shirt. "Now for our youngest. Come on Jessy." the announcer said as Jessy took to the plate. "We have a time out called and here comes Jeter to the plate, Pinch hitting, No we want Jessy." the announcer yelled and the crowd followed. "Hey Jessy the third baseman is lousy, so if you can place hit, send it his way. Swing early so you.." he was interrupted. "I know I know, swing early. I've done this before Derek, now shoo, shoo, shoo." Jessy said chasing him back towards the dugout. "You tell him Jessy. You go girl." the announcer declared, adding, "Here's the windup and the pitch and it's a hit folks, she's put it down the third base line and it's by him folks, run girls run. And here she comes our first runner to home plate, Kristina, let's give it up folks. Watch it Chele here comes the ball. Slide girl. Way to dig in the dirt. Let's hear it for her folks, so pretty but not afraid of a little dirt. Did you check the nails?" the announcer laughed. "Okay folks our last batterette, the youngest at 00, Barbara. Here's the windup and the pitch and it's a bunt. She's laid it down at the plate and she's booking folks. Look at the pretty girls dancing on second and third folks, did you ever see such a sight." the announcer said and the pitcher looked at Chele and Jessy as Barbara made her way to first base and joined them. "Okay folks let's see who they send us. We have bases loaded with the prettiest things this stadiums ever known and from the dugout we see................02 Derek Jeter. Let's give it up for the neighbor kid. Bring those girls home. Let's hear it folks. Here's the windup, the pitch and it's out of here, it's going, going, gone. Way to bring them home. It's a grand slam. Way to treat the ladies Jeter. Let's hear it folks. Way to go and what a homecoming. Look at that folks. No wonder he hit it out of here. Hugs and kisses all around for the home run king, Derek Jeter. That's the end of the fun folks. The Yankees will be back with the last game of this double header against the Red Sox. It's been a pleasure ladies. Let's hear it folks for our lovely guests." the announcer said and the girls hit the dugout and the players autographed their mitts, hats, back of their shirts, and balls for them and the said their goodbyes, wishing them luck. "We'll be watching from the owner's skybox." Barbara warned. "Yeah another homer Derek" the three said in unison. "One for each of us." Barbara said as they headed out. "Man I'm beat but that was so much fun. They're a great bunch of guys." Barbara said as she opened the door. "What about us?" Chris asked. "You are even better because you put up with all this." Barbara said kissing him lightly and hugging him. "Umm my favorite lips." Chris whispered kissing her back to her surprise and pleasure. "You looked like you had fun?" Walker asked. "Blast but I'm too old for this." she said plopping in a seat up front. "Here." Chris said handing her a bottled water and sitting next to her as their eyes met and she sighed. "Man Jessy you can hit girl." Zac said with a big smile. "Thanks Zac. Man was I scared until Jeter came out. He pissed me off and so I had to show him. So what if I'm only 13, I don't need help." she said. "Yeah I know what you mean. Treat you like a baby." Zac said looking deep into her blue eyes. "Yeah what's up with that?" she asked lost in his warm brown eyes a smile made it's way to her face as she felt him take her hand in his. "You went kicking and screaming girl." Isaac laughed as Kristina made her way through the door and he picked her up. "What do you mean? I'm not kicking and screaming. Must be the picker upper." she smiled wrapping her arms around his neck. "You are so beautiful. You're just glistening." Isaac said. "You are a romantic. That's just plain sweat Isaac." Kristina laughed. "Well that's the prettiest just plain sweat I've ever seen." Isaac declared. "You are sooo dangerous. My what a sweet talker." she said. "It's how I feel." Isaac said lightly pressing his lips to hers as she kissed him back. "Man I'm a mess." Chele said making her way into the room dusting herself off. "You look beautiful." Taylor said. "Yeah right. I feel like the Peanuts Character, you know the one with the dust cloud following him." she laughed and Taylor laughed with her. "You're even more beautiful on the inside. Or at least as much as I've seen." he said looking at her then away. "That was nice of you to say Taylor." Chele said, adding, "I never imagined you would be shy. You always appear so confident and sure of yourself. Now me, your song Sometimes, ""Sometimes I get wrapped up in what I want you to be. I guess sometimes I forget just how much you mean to me. Sometimes I get wrapped up in what I want us to be like. Then I forget hjust how much I need you in this life. An I know it's not my place to judge. Who you are or what you're gonna be." Chele sang as Taylor wrapped his arms around her lost in her eyes drawn by her voice. He sang with her "I guess sometimes I forget. Just how much you mean to me." they were lost in each others eyes. "Boy if there mother could only see this." Walker said. "Chris give me your phone." Barbara whispered and he handed it over. "So call her and let her see through yours at least. Make sure you tell her I didn't mean her in my spacey chicks crack, I was talking about myself." Barbara said as Walker took the phone, dialed walking to the corner for privacy. "You are far from spacey. It's been awhile since I've met such a confident, intelligent woman who wasn't a bitch about it. Sorry, I mean who wasn't out to prove it. You act like it's no big deal." Chris said. "It isn't that's why. Chris it's more important to accept and be, you know Just Do It." Barbara laughed. "You can laugh at just about anything." Chris said. "You would say that. Ouch." she said tears coming to her eyes as she rubbed her calf. "Here let me help." Chris said leaning over and massaging her calf over and over. "Ohhhh you've go great hands." Barbara said laying her head on his back, wrapping her arms around him, hugging him. "Any better?" he asked. "All. Thanks." she said kissing him as he kissed her back. "Hey you two. What's going on?" Walker asked. "Um let's see, my leg cramped, I cried, he made it better, I kissed him, he kissed me back. That about it Chris?" Barbara asked. "To a T" Chris said. They all gathered to watch the second game enjoying each others company rooting the Yankees on to victory. On the ride home, "So have you told them yet?" Walker asked. "No, you said you'd change it." Isaac said. "Dad you did right?" Zac asked. "Oh no." Taylor said. "Guys I only said I'd try. There's no way to cancel at this late time. We're out of here in two hours and you're not even packed." Walker said as the girls complained "What? No. Momma?" "I didn't know either. That's too bad. I don't hear any of you offering to help them pack. I would, so I could spend every possible minute together and then ask to go to the airport." Barbara said and it was agreed the six would pack while the adults stopped for a drink. "I trust my daughters, it's your sons I worry about." Barbara said. "I was thinking just about the same thing." Walker said. "What? You don't trust them either?" she gasped. "No they boys are good boys but your girls have such an effect on them. They're so taken by your girls. I'm afraid they won't be able to remember who they are, much less how to behave." Walker explained. "Oh that. I already warned them, it would be their job to be the responsible one and remind them, Who you are or what you're gonna be." Barbara said smiling. "Wow even you're a fan." Walker said. "They are really talented boys Walker. I enjoy their music as much as the girls." Barbara said. "I think this is going to be one of the hardest things I've ever had to do." Walker said nodding at the six sad faces in the lobby. "When are you due home. You can't be a half day away, we'll just come for a visit." Barbara said pulling out her appointment book and the set a four day meeting in a couple of weeks. Here's everything on me and I have all the girls with me until the last week in August." Barbara said giving him Names, her address, phone, cell, fax and web addies and Walker did the same about them. The ride to the airport was quiet and sullen and the airport proved to be one of the hardest things Walker and Barbara had to do. "Chris thank you for being here for me. I don't think I'd survive this without you." Barbara said hugging Chele as Chris held Jessy and Kristina. They got them back to the car and to the hotel. "Call me in the morning?" she asked. "I'm not letting you go without a fact sheet like you gave Walker. I'm not taking any chances on losing touch of you." Chris said kissing her. "What you got to write on. I'm not going in there. My mother's instincts wouldn't let me leave them." Barbara said and wrote all the info on the back of a couple of his business cards, taking one for herself. "You're turn, I need to know the personal Chris." she asked handing him the card and pen and turned for him to write on her shoulder. They said their goodnights and she made her way inside to find they had cried themselves to sleep. She showered, dressed for bed and set the alarm before settling down for the night.
