Day Has Come

Part Seventy-Two

"Man I really didn't think it was possible." Taylor said as Zac led Jessy around the lake and to the folks' house with Andy on his shoulders. "What's not possible babe?" Chele asked handing him JT. "Hey bud. What's up this morning?" Taylor asked playing with the baby. "Taylor you didn't answer me." Chele reminded, adding, "Yoo hoo remember me." "Of course I remember you. You're JT's mother." Taylor teased. "Fine I'l be JT's mother. You just remember that's what you wanted tonight when you're all alone in that great big bed. I'm JT's mother not your wife, not even the love of your life." Chele pouted. "Ah babe you know I was teasing. Besides I'm JT's father and you heard how much JT's old man loves his old lady." Taylor answered. "Jordan Taylor Hanson don't you be teaching your son to call me his old lady. I'm not that old." Chele complained. "You're older than me." Taylor teased. "God will I never hear the end of this. I confess I am older than my husband. Shame on me marrying a younger man. I married a younger man." Chele screamed. "Way to go Sis. I heard you had to get married." Jessy screamed back. "I confess I had to marry a younger man because I loved him." Chele screamed back. "Oh I see. I had to get married just to get some." Jessy screamed again. "You got it all right." Chele choked out before she burst into laughter. "What's this all about?" Diana asked joining them, extending her arms to Andy. "MumMum." Andy squealed as they headed to JT. "MumMum T. Me T." Andy said as Taylor leaned JT their way for hugs and kisses before placing him on the floor and Andy got down to play with him. "You never did answer me Taylor, what isn't possible?" Chele asked. "I was just looking at them and it just seems they're more in love than before." Taylor shared. "Aww that's so nice Taylor." Jessy said as Zac wrapped his arms around her stroking her belly. "Wow she's active." Zac exclaimed leaning around Jessy, kissing her belly and talking to the baby, "Angel what's the matter? What's the matter with Daddy's little girl huh?" As Zac stroked and kissed the baby, bit by bit she relaxed. "Aaaahh you are so good at this. Thanks hun she's peaceful now." Jessy sighed. "So you think it's a girl now too huh? See I told you Tay." Chele shared. "How can you know?" Taylor asked. "This baby is nothing like Andy was so I figure it's a girl." Zac said as Jessy squirmed in his arms, "Zac I gotta go potty, let me go okay?" Jessy asked. "Mum me pee pee." Andy said heading her way. "Sure my little man. Daddy come help okay?" Jessy said extending her hand to Andy, then whispering, "Daddy insists I stop helping him cuz I make him sit like a girl." "He'll never learn if you don't let him try." Zac argued. "But Zac he has such lousy aim. It's a good thing you tiled the bathrooms, I can just hose them down." Jessy teased. "Hey what you complaining about we learn the most important rule huh Andy?" Zac shared. "No pee pee Mum's seat." Andy declared to everyone's amusement. "Great you're here. Just got off the phone with Chris and you'll never guess what." Walker said entering the room. "Let's see Jessy has to go potty and so does Andy." Jessy teased. "Oh I see after the trip to the bathroom is good." Walker said with a chuckle. When they returned Walker shared that the Foundation was proving to be so successful, that Congress had honored the Foundation with a sizeable grant and Rosie insists Jessy be present. "No, absolutely not. It's just to risky to fly now." Zac answered. "Excuse me. You got the hair but that thing between your legs means you aren't Jessy, so why are you answering for me." Jessy fumed. "Jessy you're not considering it. I won't let you. No Jessy you are not flying off somewhere even with me by your side." Zac insisted. "You by my side. I don't think so not with that attitude." Jessy said backing away. "Time out." Zac called placing both hands in the air and took a deep breath. "Jessy I'm sorry I blurted out. You're right babe I shouldn't have answered for you but I have to be honest I'm terrified at the thought of you flying. What if something should go wrong? What if.." Zac explained as his eyes filled with fear and doubts. "Oh Zac don't do this. Look at me Zac. Please?" Jessy asked. She caressed his face as he finally turned to her, "I love you Zac and I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize Daddy's little girl. I couldn't do that to the baby, to me and Andy, but most of all to you Zac. I know how much you love the baby already but most of all I know how much you love me and I couldn't risk it. It's just not worth it. Daddy tell Chris there is no way I'm leaving Tulsa right now. After the baby is here okay but not until. Make him understand Daddy okay?" Jessy asked. "Sure sweetie. I already told him no but I figure I don't have the right to answer for you either." Walker answered. "Someday Zac. Someday you'll be as smart as Daddy but until then you are so good and getting better at this loving me." Jessy shared kissing him sweetly "Babe I flew off the handle and I shouldn't have. I know you love me babe but sometimes I just panic at the thought of losing you and act like a total jerk." Zac confessed kneeling in front of her, looking up and adding, "Forgive me?" "Oh Zac I knew as you said it you didn't mean it but I just wanted to make sure you and everyone else knew." Jessy shared as she kissed him deeply. "What's wrong Jessy?" Zac asked as she sighed. "Man I'm so tired all of a sudden. Must be the walk over. Zac I think I'll go sit down for a little while." Jessy answered. "Come on babe. Let's get you comfortable." Zac said leading her to the family room and helping her into one of the recliners and covering her with a blanket. "Thanks hun. I love you." Jessy said as she yawned and stretched out, soon falling asleep. "Hmmm she slept in this morning, that's why we didn't make breakfast. She walks over and is exhausted enough to sleep again." Zac shared with his mother. "Zac she needs her rest, she has a big job coming up. Remember son?" Diana reminded. "Yeah Mom I remember." Zac answered, adding, "But I'll still worry if you don't mind." "That's your job son, that's your job." Walker said wrapping an arm around him then patting him on the back. "Yeah I know I learned from the master." Zac teased hugging his father. "Zac!" the heard Jessy scream and all headed to the family room. "What babe?" Zac asked leading them in. "Get me up now." Jessy said desperately trying to get up. "Hang on babe. I've got you." Zac said picking her up out of the chair. "Move. Move." Jessy said rushing from the room heading to the bathroom. "She was just in there before she laid down." Chele worried as Diana headed down the hall. "Jessy. Babe what's wrong?" Zac asked following her into the bathroom finding her hanging onto the vanity, definitely in pain. "Breath babe. Work with it." Zac said placing a hand on her belly. "When did this start?" he asked. "On the way." Jessy tried to explain but stopped to concentrate on her breathing. "On the way over but I just figured it was from the walking. You know like with Andy, all those Braxton Hicks things I had for days before having him." Jessy explained as the contraction stopped and Zac looked at his watch. "What is it sweetie?" Diana asked. "Not sure Mom. She thinks it might be like with Andy all that false labor she had right before he was born." Zac answered as Jessy leaned back against him, resting her head on his shoulder. "That was fun. Remember sweetie, we played so many board games trying to keep your mind off of it." Diana asked. "Man I would have screamed if we'd played one more game of Monopoly with Taylor as the banker. Urrghh!" Jessy shared. "You! I was about to suggest Chutes and Ladders, but I was sure Taylor would be just as bad. What's with having to win?" Diana asked. "Hey if we'd played Chutes and Ladders I bet he would have spun for everyone like he does with Mackie. Even Mackie won't play with him." Zac added. "Him who?" Chele asked entering the room. "Him your husband who. We were talking about all the games we played waiting for Andy to decided to make an appearance." Jessy explained. "Mom what is with him? Does he always have to win?" Chele asked. "Dear I don't know where he got it." Diana answered. "Sis why are you talking about waiting for Andy to be born? Are you?" Chele asked realizing why they were remembering Andy's birth and she placed a hand on her belly. "I don't know Sis. On the walk over I had a few but I was figuring Braxton Hicks most likely." Jessy said as both of their eyes got bigger. "Breathe Sis. Work through it." Chele said as Zac looked at his watch then caressed her belly. "Breathe babe. Nice and slow." Zac whispered in her ear. "Whoa that's not fair. You sound so sexy." Jessy teased and Zac nibbled on her ear. "Not fair." Jessy moaned as Zac caressed her belly again and Jessy took a deep cleansing breath as the contraction ended. "I gotta go potty." Jessy said Zac looked at her watch. "Me too if you'll excuse us." Zac announced walking his mother and Chele to the door. "Oh oh." Jessy said rushing to the toilet, pulling her pants down quickly. "What babe?" Zac asked heading her way. "I'm not sure but I don't think I'm peeing." Jessy shared. "What?" Zac asked. "It's not the same Zac. I don't know. I've never peed this long either." Jessy said wiping and as she started to get up, "Not again." she complained sitting back down, leaning back and breathing deep and slow. "You peeing again?" Zac asked and Jessy rocked her head back and forth still breathing deep and slow, ending with a deep cleansing breath. "I think it must be amniotic fluid Zac because my bladder couldn't hold this much." Jessy answered as he looked at his watch. Jessy wiped again, looked before flushing and headed to the sink washing her hands then grabbed Zac's arm. "Ohhhhh." she moaned hunching over. "Jessy don't fight it. Relax babe." Zac insisted as she tensed more. "Come on babe breathe in, out, in, that's it Jessy nice and slow." Zac said wrapping his arms around her, pulling her into him and then rubbing her back. "Ohhh no." Jessy said squatting down to releive the pressure. "Jessy what are you doing? You can't push babe. Mom get in here." Zac called out. "Oohhhh." Jessy moaned again. "Jessy don't. Not here babe what if something goes wrong?" Zac asked desperately. "What is it?" Diana asked entering the room. "Mom I think it's coming." Jessy shared with fear in her eyes. "Well I never. She is anxious to meet us I'd say. Sweetie can you try real hard not to push until we're ready for you okay Angel." Diana said rubbing Jessy's belly. "Walker Hanson call the doctor and tell him to get over here now. His private number is on the fridge. Now do you hear me." Diana called out throwing the house into a panic. Taylor and Chele rounded up the kids and headed to Zac and Jessy's to play on Andy's swingset. Chele called Grampa for the extra support in case it took longer than they'd expected. Diana put a mattress cover on the bed in the spare room as Walker called Taylor to bring Jessy a nightgown or two, then helped his wife. "Zac here you go. Mom said to get her into this. How you doing Sis?" Taylor asked. "I'm fine Tay. Just having a, a, Ohhhhhh." Jessy tried to explain as the next contraction started. "Definitely serious babe. They're lasting longer then the rest in between." Zac said as Jessy rushed to the toilet, kneeling as she began to throw up. "Mom she's puking." Zac hollered out making it to her, pulling her hair back. "Where is that doctor? Taylor call and check, telling him she threw up. That's what she did in transition, he has to get here now." Diana ordered as she wetted a washcloth for her. "Man I hate to puke." Jessy grumbled as Zac helped her up. "Ooohh." Jessy moaned as fluid streamed down her legs. "Oh yuck." she complained quickly stepping into the bathtub. "Did I get any on the floor?" she asked. "Nah babe Mandy still holds the honors." Zac chuckled. "She'll love to hear that." Jessy said and started to giggle. "You're crazy. Laughing, standing in a tub, totally drenched and you haven't turned on the water yet." Zac teased. "Help me get out of these?" Jessy asked and he undressed her. "I'm taking a quickie, my legs are sticky feeling." Jessy explained and soon she was cleaned, dried and wearing one of her gowns. "Zac I can't take much more of this not pushing, I really ooohhhh." Jessy moaned again panting to try and fight the urge. "All ready for you sweetie." Diana said entering the room again. "Mom she really wants to push. What will we do?" Zac pleaded to know as Jessy moaned louder and squatted down . "Zac she's coming now. Zac get her please." Jessy mumbled moaning louder. "You hold her and I'll get the baby." Diana said grabbing a white towel before lifting Jessy's gown. "I see her head. She's definitely coming. Walker Hanson get the baby aspirator out of our medicine chest now." Diana hollered. "You're doing fine sweetie." Diana said calmly. "Zac I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." Jessy sighed as the contraction ended but started again immediately. "Ooohhhh." Jessy moaned. "Diana here." Walker said breathlessly handing her the aspirator. "Ready for you now Angel, come on." Diana said soothingly. "That's my girl, pant sweetie so I can get her suctioned out a little. Walker where is that doctor?" Diana asked and Walke headed out to find the answer. "Right here dear." Walker announced seeing Taylor with Doc Adams, adding, "Heads out and the wife is doing your job." "I'll gladly give it up. I don't care to deliver her but I'll glaly hold her once she's here." Diana shared smiling at the sight of the Doctor. "Thank God you're here." Zac exclaimed. "Excuse me panting here and about to hyperventilate." Jessy got out between pants. "Looks good Diana, you've done a wonderful job. Now to turn the shoulders. You watching this in case one of your other girls do this again." Doc Adams teased. "On the next contraction push with all you got left Jessy, we're ready to catch her now. If it's not a girl, I'm not going to be the one to tell you." Doc Adams teased. "You won't have to I know it's a girl, I feel it. Here she comes, you catch her or you don't get paid." Jessy teased breathing slowly then moaning loud and long until the cries of her daughter were heard. "Hey Daddy's little girl what's all the crying for?" Zac asked and the baby stopped. "Oh that will come in handy." Jessy sighed collapsing in his arms. "She's beautiful Jessy." Zac whispered, adding, "Just like her Mommy." "Is she okay Zac?" Jessy whispered. "She fine babe. Look at her." Zac suggested and she raised her head as Diana rose holding her in her arms. "She's beautiful sweetie, just like her Mommy." Diana shared offering her the baby. "Mom I'm afraid I'd drop her as weak as I feel. Zac hold her."Come her Angel. Mom we'd like to name her Angel Jane Lawyer Hanson if that's okay with you and Grampa." Zac shared taking the baby and moving her to Jessy. "Hi Daddy's little girl. It's me Mommy." Jessy whispered kissing her forehead then her cheek. As she pulled away Angel opened her eyes for the first time. "Such pretty blue eyes. Just like her Mommy's huh Zac?" Walker asked as the baby stared at Jessy. "Hi my precious Angel. Mommy and Daddy love you. Gramma and Grampa love you. Oh oh Mommy has a job to finish. Mom take her again please?" Jessy said turning away from her before moaning softly. "Diana do you think you can get her measured and weighed for me then clean her up?" Doc Adams asked. "Come on Grampa you can help." Diana said heading to the spare room. "Taylor good you're still here. I'll need the baby tub from the nursery then clothes for Jessy and the baby. Walker the baby scales from the back room and a tape measure from my sewing basket." Diana ordered moving to the spare room. Jessy delivered the placenta then Zac helped her clean up as Chele arrived with clothes. "She's beautiful Sis. Not too thrilled with her bath. Zac I'll help her maybe if you were with Angel she'd quiet down." Chele suggested. "Please hun for me. I can't stand to hear her crying." Jessy pleaded. "Sure babe but promise you'll take it easy." Zac answered. "Promise. Now go take care of our daughter." Jessy said kissing him sweetly and soon the crying stopped. "That's twice now. All he has to do is talk to her and she stops crying." Jessy explained. "That'll come in handy in the wee hours of the morning. Just leave it to Daddy." Chele suggested. "Sis?" Jessy asked as she finished dressing. "Yep Andy and Angel's mom. Wow you're a Mom and so am I. I can't believe this sometimes." Chele said picking up a brush and brushing Jessy's hair. "That's what I was just thinking. This is all so unreal, I really never thought it would all come true. Not only come true, but be even better than that. Our Day Has Come I would definitely say." Jessy shared. "Our Day Has Come again and again and again. You and Zac. Taylor and me. Andy, Angel and JT. God sure has gone all out to make us sisters." Chele shared huggng her tight. "Yeppers. We finally have the same set of parents and Grampa. If that don't make us real sisers, nothing will." Jessy shared. "Our Day Has Come." they said in unison heading to join their family.
