Day Has Come

Party Sixty-five

"This is as nice as the suite upstairs Mom." Jessy whispered not to disturb Andy. "His things are here." Diana shared opening drawers pulling out pajamas and placing them on the changing table.   "This would be perfect for Isaac and Mandy once she's had the baby." Zac suggested. "That too. Son your mother and I were talking and well... To be honest you two we'd like to build onto the house and keep you all with us forever, but we came up with an idea and well..." Walker suddenly was at a loss for words. "What he's trying to say with telling the world I'm a selfish Grandmother and Mother. I want all my babies with me. Jessy sweetie I know you love the old house and how Zac fixed it up for you but Walker and I have bought the land all around here and we were wondering, I'm praying that you'd like to build . You know the house of your dreams only next door." Diana shared. "Wow that's great. What do you think Babe?" Zac asked. "Mum." Andy mumbled as she dressed him for bed. "It's okay Andy." Jessy said taking him in her arms and moving to the rocking chair, humming and rocking until he was sleeping soundly again. "Build a house huh? I've never thought about it. Our own house, that's like, like we're a real family Zac. Can we?" Jessy asked. "Sure Babe if it's what you want." Zac answered as Jessy rocked herself up out of the chair, carrying Andy to bed as Zac pulled back the comforter. "Night my little man." Jessy whispered kissing the top of his head. "Night Bud. Sweet dreams." Zac whispered bending down and kissing the top of his head. "Let me in there." Diana insisted. "Night my angel. Gramma loves you Andy." Diana whispered kissing his cheek then the top of his head. "Night my Andy, Grampa loves you too little buddy." Walker shared bending to kiss the top of his head. "He's a lucky little boy, our son. So loved." Zac whispered laying his head on Jessy's shoulder. "He knows Zac. Why do you think he's so cool." Jessy answered. "Yeah you're right." Zac said kissing her cheek, adding "Let's go before we wake him again." The four headed to the master bedroom. "Really nice." Jessy said entering the room noticing the computer, large screen TV, stereo system built in the far wall. "I hope you'll consider staying a few days so I can enjoy Andy. I'll understand if you want to go home but.." Diana shared as Zac interrupted. "Mom it's okay that you missed Andy and not me. Stop apologizing okay." he teased. "I'm glad you understand, hmmm I knew your name once, oh yeah Andy's Daddy." Diana teased back. "She got you." Jessy laughed giving Diana a thumbs up. "What you laughin at Daddy stealer?" Diana asked pointing at Jessy. "No that's Andy and JT's Great Grampa formerly known as Grampa formerly known as Daddy." Jessy corrected and the room laughed. "You two think about it and let's us know what you think. Sweetie get some sleep, you look tired my Jessy." Diana shared hugging Jessy whispering in her ear. "Sometimes it's best to just let it go. He does love you so." "You are so smart and I'm so lucky that you love me too." Jessy whispered into her ear. "Mom's right you look tired Jessy." Zac said after Walker and Diana left the room. "I am but I really want a shower." Jessy shared moving to the dresser and pulling out something to sleep in, heading to the bathroom."It's all ready for you." Zac said pulling out another towel and handing it to her after she laid her nightgown on the vanity. Zac headed to the door, "I brought you something to sleep in." Jessy called out and he stopped, turned, wondering what she meant. "Zac don't just stare at me. Talk to me, I'm not going to bite." Jessy said trying not to snap his head off. "It's just, I really pissed you off and.." Zac tried to say as Jessy interrupted, "Stop it Zac. Unless you want to fight then keep it up." Jessy said turning her back on him. "No I don't want to fight. I hate it when we fight. I get so scared." Zac said turning and heading to the bed, flopping down. "What do you mean you get so scared?" Jessy asked stepping out of the dress. "Zac?" Jessy asked turning around and not seeing him. She finished undressing and wrapped in a towel before looking for him. The sight of him sprawled across the bed. "Zac I asked you what you mean you get so scared but you didn't answer me. You okay Zac?" Jessy asked knowing he wasn't but not expecting him to share. "No Jessy I'm not okay, I'm so scared something's wrong with you and I can't lose you." Zac shared crawling and laying his head in her lap. "Something's wrong with me. Zac I don't feel sick. Well I guess I do. I'm just run down and need a little vacation is all but before long you guys will have the new album done and you'll hit the circuit. Maybe I can cancel out the rest of mine and rest so I can go on the road with you guys." Jessy suggested. "You'd do that? Babe I can't let you. Once you cancel you get a bad rep and you don't deserve that you've worked so hard. We'll figure something out. You wait and see our day will come soon enough." Zac said turning and kissing her belly. "Oh Zac our Day Has Come, his name is Andy and he's the best of me and the best of you. He's so amazing." Jessy said bending and kissing the top of his head. "So you going to take a shower with me or you don't need one." Jessy teased plugging her nose. "Oh so I stink now huh? Well as long as I stink." Zac said ripping loose. "God Zac you smell dead." Jessy said choking suddenly feeling sick. "Oh God Zac move." Jessy said pushing his head from her lap and racing to the bathroom, kneeling just in time. As she finished she heaved a big sigh of relief until she looked at the fear in Zac's face. "Don't freak on me now. I'm never sick, I hate this." Jessy pleaded. "It's going to be okay Jessy. Honest. You're okay, you have to be. God listen Andy and I need her she has to be okay." Zac said dropping to his knees praying. Jessy was so moved by the sight, she rose and moved to his side and knelt down saying her own prayer. "You okay now Babe?" Zac asked standing and helping her to her feet. "I am now." Jessy said hugging him tight. "I think I can handle anything from here Zac." Jessy insisted. "Well let's get showered and I'll hold you all night." Zac suggested. They showered and crawled in bed. "I have to check on Andy or I'll never be able to sleep." Jessy shared one knee on the bed the other foot on the floor. "I'll go you crawl in bed." Zac said. "Silly you're already in bed. Save my spot, I'll be right back." Jessy said making her way to the nursery, returning with the monitor, "Here Daddy." Jessy said tossing him the monitor which Zac placed on the end table as she crawled into bed. "He okay?" Zac asked as she cuddled into his arms. "Got to go." Zac said suddenly rolling her off him before getting up and heading to the bathroom. "Don't go in there. I'm warning you." Zac said as he crawled back in bed. "Man Zac can't even fart in your own bed because your wife gags. I'm sorry Za.." Jessy trailed off falling asleep. "You have to be okay Jessy." Zac whispered kissing the top of her head before drifting off, only to wake the next morning to more of the same. "Jessy where are you?" he called out. "Bathroom." she gagged out. "Not again. Babe what's wrong?" Zac asked wetting a washcloth and grabbing a hair tye. He pulled her hair back and waited for her to finish. "If I knew what was wrong I'd fix it I hate this." Jessy complained. "Well you are going to the doctors and we're finding out what is wrong. I can't take this Jessy, I'm scared. I'd rather face whatever it is than go on not knowing." Zac insisted. "Sure." Jessy said rising and heading to the sink, washing her face. "Oh no." Jessy said making her way back to the toilet. "When you're done back to bed. I'll go get some toast and a cup of tea. You have to get something in you, if you're going to keep puking." Zac shared as he headed out the door. On her way to bed she heard Andy stirring on the monitor and headed his way. She sat on the edge of his bed as he started to wake, "Mum." Andy said opening his eyes. "Morning my little man." Jessy said caressing his face. "Dada." Andy asked. "He'll be here soon. He went to get Mommy something to eat. Mommy don't feel good again." she shared. "Oh Mum." Andy said crawling to her and hugging her. "Thanks Andy. I feel better already." Jessy said hugging him back. "Jessy. Where are you?" Zac called out. "In the nursery with Andy." Jessy answered. "Hey buddy." Zac said entering the room and picking him up. "Good take him to the changing table please." Jessy asked. "i'll change him, you go eat your toast and drink your tea. We'll be fine." Zac ordered, adding, "Mom is calling her doctor to get you in today." "Good I'm tired of puking." Jessy said making her way back to bed, eating the toast and drinking the tea."You need anything else? Andy and I are going upstairs to breakfast .Got the monitor, call out if you need something." Zac shared. "Bye bye Mum." Andy said waving. Jessy was the topic of discussion at the breakfast table until, "Oh my. Isaac. I think it's time, my water just broke. Mom I'm sorry." Mandy got out before she let out the deepest moan and doubled over. "Relax and breath baby. Remember breath and work through it." Isaac said rubbing her back until she relaxed. By then Chele and Tay returned with old towels to clean the floor with and Diana returned with clean clothes while Walker moved her suitcase to the front door. Isaac helped her to the bathroom to get cleaned up while Diana phoned the doctors office and informed them of what was going on, "Please don't cancel Jessy's appointment if you can help it, Zac is so worried about her." Diana shared. "Mrs. Hanson doctor says to bring Jessy here now and Mandy to the hospital. As soon as he's done with Jessy he'll check in on Mandy." the nurse informed. "Zac you have to get Jessy dressed son. They'll fit her in now before he goes to the hospital with Isaac and Mandy." Diana shared, adding, "I'll watch Andy you get Jessy." "Jessy wake up. Come on Babe we have a doctor appointment and we have to go now. Doc said he'd check you over before delivering Ike and Mandy's baby." Zac shared entering their room pulling out clothes for the both of them. "Ike and Mandy's baby? When?" Jessy mumbled waking up. "Not until he's done with you so hurry up. Get dressed Babe." Zac said as he changed then watched as Jessy pulled on her clothes. "What you staring at?" Jessy said throwing a pillow at him. "You Babe. You haven't eaten anything in two days, barfed your guts out but you suddenly have a pot belly." Zac answered. "I do not. Jesus I do. What the..." Jessy said staring down at herself. "Worry about it later Babe Doc's waiting on us." Zac said holding her jeans for her to step into. "Us. Good you give blood and I'll pee in the cup." Jessy teased stepping into her jeans and Zac pulled them up quick giving her a wedgy. "Ouch Zac I can't walk this way. Well I could but like major embarassing I'd think." Jessy said as he tugged them back down and laughed as he tried to zip them. "What's so funny now?" Jessy asked pulling on her blouse and starting to button it. "Nothing. Here I'll button you brush your hair." Zac suggested. "Zac all the buttons." Jessy giggled at the two buttons he left undone. "But that's a pretty bra." Zac pouted finally buttoning them. "What about Andy? Did you call to see if Grampa can watch him?" Jessy asked. "Chele and Tay are here." Zac answered. "But they have JT, Mackie and the girls. Besides he loves his Great Grampa." Jessy explained. "I'm dialing. I'm dialing." Zac shared. "Grampa hey I need to take Jessy into the doctors. I know it's short notice but can you watch Andy. Mandy is in labor and so Mom will be with them and Jessy would just feel better if he was with you." Zac asked. "Of course Zac. Andy is always welcome here. I'll be waiting" Grampa answered. "Thanks Grampa see you soon." Zac said as Jessy returned from the Nursery with Andy's bag. They headed up the stairs to find Ike and Mandy ready. Zac and Jessy took Chele's mini van with the built in car seat for Andy afther moving JT's rear facing carseat into Walker's van. "We'll take Andy to Daddy's, we have more time. You get her to the doctor office." Diana said taking Andy from Jessy. "You're in my prayers. Nothing is wrong if God has been listening." Diana whispered kissing Jessy's cheek. "Bye my little man. Gramma and Grampa are going to drive you to Great Grampa's." Jessy explained kissing him goodbye handing his bag to Walker. "Good thoughts sweetie." Walker shared kissing her forehead and hugging her. "Come on Babe. We better go. Bye my bud." Zac said picking him up, hugging him and putting him in the car seat next to Ike and Mandy. "I've got him Zac. You take Jessy in and find out what's wrong. We're praying for you two." Isaac shared buckling up Andy. The ride to the doctor office was quiet, Jessy stared out the window most of the time. A couple of blocks before the doctors office Jessy reached over and slipped her hand inside of Zac's as he closed his around hers. Zac pulled in, parked, and made his way around the van opening her door. "I can't do this. I don't want to know something is wrong Zac. I know stupid kills but I don't want to know." Jessy said staring straing ahead. Zac was about to try to reason with her but remembered something she had said and sat on the edge of her seat and wrapped his arms around her. "It'll be okay." Zac whispered. "Not fair." Jessy pouted. "Not fair that I remember you saying you could handle anything from here. Probably not Babe but I do so let's get this over." Zac said helping her down and walking her into the office. Jessy was immediately taken to the examination room where they drew blood, weighed her, and had her fill a specimen cup. She was waiting for the doctor for what seemed like forever when she heard Zac. "This room?" Zac asked. "Yes Zac she's in there." the nurse answered. "Babe?" Zac asked opening the door slowly. "Zac what are you doing back here. Must be bad news. What are you smiling about?" Jessy asked totally confused. "So did you tell her?" Doc asked as he entered. "Tell me what?" Jessy asked. "Well tell her Daddy." Doc said slapping him on the back. "Jessy you were right. You know when you told me to get your purse the other day." Zac said as Jessy just glared at him, finally putting things together. "I'm pregnant. That's why I'm barfing then, because I'm pregnant. Not sick just pregnant. Man I didn't have morning sickness with Andy." Jessy rambled on. "She doesn't have morning sickness with this one either, it's more like morning, noon and night sickness." Zac shared. "Jessy when was your last period?" Doc asked as Zac grabbed her purse finding her calendar and leafing through it. "Jesus Jessy February? You must have forgotten to write it down right?" Zac asked. "I guess. We were on the road this month and April and in March we were jetting around from place to place. Man last period I remember was February we were still in the studio, Sis and I." Jessy answered. "So between 1 day to 3 months we're talking." Doc asked. "Make that 4 months, I remember it was more like spotting and I told myself it was because I was dancing like 16 hours a day at that time." Jessy shared. "Four months possible. I say we do an ultrasound and see what that tells us." Doc suggested and they headed to the Ultra sound room and waited as the Technician readied everything. "Man this is the other thing you could have handled for our appointment." Jessy teased as the Technician applied the jelly to her belly and they began. "Active little thing I'd say." Doc commented watching the screen. "Zac this will take forever if the baby doesn't hold still. The Tech will never get a reading and Andy is waiting for us to tell him Mommy is okay." Jessy pleaded. "Hey baby it's Daddy. Yeah I talked to you the other day but you didn't talk back until now. Do you hear me baby Mommy and Daddy love you and we need you to lay still so we can get a picture to show Gramma and Grampa, brother Andy and Great Grampa." Zac explained talking to Jessy's belly, kissing it above the jelly line. "It worked." Doc exclaimed as the Technician clicked picture after picture to determine the age of the fetus and a final print for Mom and Dad to share. Zac went with Jessy to get her dressed then they stopped out front setting appointments and picking up prescriptions. "I don't believe it." Jessy sighed as she sat in her seat. "Believe it. I saw it, I was there." Zac teased. "You butt." Jessy said laughing. "Zac what will people say?" Jessy gasped at the reality, adding, "Man we better build a big house. Big, big house. Oh what the hey, your Dad better build the big, big house they'll all be over there the minute they learn to walk anyway." Jessy no more got out and the two were roaring. "Hey we could get by with a one bedroom with a Nursery and as soon as they walk, ship them to Gramma and Grampa's." Zac teased. "Only if we get visitations." Jessy added as Zac roared. "Tell me, tell me." Jessy begged. "We get to visit and spoil them rotten then leave." Zac choked out before sitting on the floor in front of her laying his head in her lap. "You okay hun?" Jessy asked as she stroked his hair. "Yeah babe just thanking the big guy for listening and answering my prayers. You're okay. Both of you." Zac said kissing her belly slipping his arms around her waist and hugging her. "Let's go tell Andy he's going to be a big brother." Jessy suggested and Zac made sure she was buckled in safe and then drove to Grampa's.
