Day Has Come

Part Sixty-four

"Zac." Jessy screamed sitting up straight in bed. "Babe what is it? Jessy?" Zac mumbled waking up. "Oh my God Zac. How could I not know? Zac I need my purse hun. Oh my God Zac, I just had this dream, this vision, this whatever. Zac I think I'm pregnant." Jessy rattled off. "Babe we just talked about it, that's all. A wishfull dream is all." Zac suggested. "Yeah maybe, I don't know. Yeah you're probably right Zac. I'm sure it's just that wishful thinking." Jessy said cuddling in his arms. "You okay babe?" Zac asked pressing his forehead to hers and gazing deeply into her eyes. "I know it'll happen Zac by I so want to." Jessy sighed laying against his chest listening to his heart beating. "It'll happen Jessy but until it does, I sure love trying to make it happen." Zac teased his hands roaming all over her body. "My treat." Jessy teased pushing him over and making love to him. "Man all that and a Mom too." Zac said holding her close as he drifted off to sleep. "I love you." Jessy whispered kissing his forehead as she slipped quietly from bed, heading to the bathroom with the monitor. She quickly showered, dressed and made her way downstairs with the monitor. Jessy was having a blast, just like old times, Hanson blaring in her headset, cooking for the family. "Ohhh." Jessy squealed noticing Diana ad Walker as she danced around. "Hey guys. Isn't life wnderful." Jessy exclaimed. "Most definitely sweetie." Walker answered wrapping his wife in his arms. "Why you spry old fox." Jessy teased. "No sweetie, just a man in love with the girl of his dreams." Walker confessed. "Oh Daddy." Jessy sighed. "Oh Waker." Diana sighed turning in his arms, "I love more than anything. Seven beautiful children, a wonderful life, and your love. I'm so blessed." Diana confessed. "Mommy." Zoe squealed running into the room as Walker whisked her up and held her near her mother. "Yes my Zoe?" Diana asked kissing her all over and Walker did the same. "Me hungry." Zoe shared. "I've got something for you lil sis. Here I'll get you a plate. Daddy I was thinking since it's so nice out, we would grill out. You feel up to it?" Jessy asked. "Great idea sweetie. This is about the first time in three months we've all been together." Walker suggested. "Glad you think so because I already invited my Grampa and I've defrosted some ribs I found and I'm doing a microwave type of soak. I also found some steaks and chicken legs." Jessy shared. "Man you have been busy. You're feeling better than?" Diana asked as Walker sat Zoe at the table eyeing her plate. "You want some Daddy?" Jessy asked. "Thought you'd never ask sweetie." Walker answered sitting next to Zoe as Jessy brought him a plate. "What do you need help with?" Diana asked. "I haven't looked to see what there is to drink." Jessy answered as the oven timer sounded and she moved that way. "Death by Chocolate Cake." Diana gasped as Jessy pulled it from the oven, adding, "I am so glad you are home." "Me too Mom." Jessy replied hugging her after putting the cake down to cool. The two had most things completed and well under control as Chele joined them all smiles too. "Isn't life wonderful." she sighed entering the room. "Yep." Jessy giggled. "Most definitely." Diana giggled. "Damn straight." Walker insisted and they all laughed. "Daddy I haven't said that in years." Jessy teased. "It fit the moment sweetie." Walker teased hugging her. "Sis. That's JT." Jessy said leaning towards the monitor, adding, "Need a bottle for him?" "I'm sure if you don't mind." Chele answered heading to the Nursery. "Me T. Me T." Jessy heard Andy say. "Aren't you a good boy. My special Andy. You made JT happy." Chele said entering the room. "Me T." Andy insisted. "Yep your JT awake." Taylor said entering from the adjoining room picking up Andy so he could see JT. "There he is my bud. Hey son, what's all the crying about." Taylor asked leaning to kiss him before moving Andy near. "Me T." Andy squealed before kissing him and JT laughed. "He laughed. Taylor did you hear that." Chele asked excitedly. "Yeah babe. Cool. Way to go Andy. Make him laugh." Taylor said leaning Andy near again as JT laughed, Andy laughed, they all laughed. "Andy let Aunt Chele change you why we're here." Chele asked. "No Mum." Andy insisted. "How about me bud. I'll change you." Taylor asked. "Mum." Andy insisted as Jessy grabbed the bottle and made her way to the Nursery. "Hey my little man." Jessy said entering the room testing the bottle again before offering it to JT as Chele picked him up cuddling him in her arms. "Me too." Taylor insisted pulling her to his lap as he sat in the rocking chair holding them both, talking to his son. Andy looked at the three as Jessy changed his daper, "Dada?" Andy asked. "He's still asleep Andy." Jessy answered. "Me Dada." Andy insisted squirming free, crawling off the bed and streaking down the hall yelling "Dada." "Stop that naked boy." Jessy called out as Andy headed down the hall. "Andy Hanson where are your clothes?" Diana asked bending to pick him up as Andy turned and raced through the family room. "Mommy he's naked." Jessie hollered. "Stop him Jessie." Jessy called out as Walker opened the patio door, "What's all the excitement. Hey boy where are your clothes?" he asked chuckling. "Daddy it's not funny. Stop him he's headed to the lake. "Zac." Jessy screamed as she started to tire. "Andy please stop Mommy doesn't feel good." Jessy screamed as Walker, Jessie, and finally Zac raced past her. "Hey boy what are you doing to Mommy?" Zac asked sweeping him up in his arms. "Dada." Andy squealed. "You okay sweetie?" Walker asked turning back when Zac passed him. "Yeah. Just scared I think. He's fast." Jessy said trying to catch her breath. "You okay babe?" Zac asked racing back to her. "Oh Zac I was terrifed. Thank you. God I would have died if anything happened to him." Jessy choked out as she started to cry. "He's fine babe. Please don't cry?" Zac asked wrapping an arm around her. "Mum." Andy pouted crying. "Mommy's okay Andy. Okay see Mum is fine my little man." Jessy said holding back he tears, breathing deeply to not cry. "Andy I'm okay. I was just scared because Mommy and Daddy haven't taught you about the lake. The lake can be lots of fun as long as we play safe. Andy you never go into the lake alone, always have to have a buddy in the lake okay? Either Mommy, Daddy, Grampa, Uncle Tay. You have to have a buddy to go in the lake." Jessy explained. "And you have to wear a bathing suit, no naked swimming around her boy." Zac added. "Lake." Andy said. "You want to see the lake?" Jessy asked. "Mum bud." Andy asked. "Sure Andy Mommy be your lake buddy. Come on let's go see if we can find suits." Jessy answered. "Can I come Andy?" Zac asked. "Dada bud." Andy squealed and the three headed to the bath house. "Look what Gramma must have bought you Andy." Jessy said opening the drawer marked Zac, Jessy, Andy and pulling out a little bathing suit as Zac grabbed one of his suits and stripped. "Not fair. Two naked Hanson men." Jessy said looking at Zac while she dressed Andy. "Hurry up Mommy. We'll meet you at the lake." Zac said picking up Andy and heading to the lake. Jessy quickly stripped and slipped on one of her old suits adjusting it to this year's body before racing after her fellows. "Mum." Andy squealed when he caught sight of her. "Babe there's nothing to you." Zac said looking at her in her blue Hanson bikini she'd worn when she'd first stolen his heart. "Jessy that's my bikini isn't it. Yeah that's the one you wore to get even with Ash." Zac gasped. "What's the problem?" Jessy snapped. "Man you're skin and bones Jessy." Zac commented. "Fine I'll leave." Jessy said turning and heading to the bath house. "Sis my God you're skin and bones." Chele said as she, Taylor and JT made their way out of the bath house. "Well new mother to be who danced her way back to a smaller size than when she got pregnant. I'm the poor sucker who you danced her ass off. If you don't like it don't look. Don't worry, I'm leaving you won't have to look." Jessy said making her way past them slamming the door. In a matter of minutes, she was dressed and headed to the house. "Sweetie what's wrong?" Walker asked from the grill. "Nothing Daddy." Jessy lied making her way inside. "Jessy what is it?" Diana asked. "What's the matter Princess?" Grampa asked. "Oh my Grampa." Jessy squealed racing to his arms. "It's okay little princess. Everything will be okay." Grampa insisted as she cried. "Oh Grampa I was so scared. Andy ran from me and headed to the lake. What if? I'd die if he'd gotten hurt." Jessy choked out. "He appears unscathed. Having a good time with Daddy and Uncle Tay. Daddy doesn't appear too happy." Grampa shared. "That is his problem, not mine." Jessy snapped heading down the hall to her sister's room. "My my. Definitely a problem." Grampa shared making his way to the lake. "Well my Andy you are definitely your mother's son. You swim like a fish." he shared. "Papa Papa." Andy squealed racing his way. "A fish you are." Grampa said sweeping him up in his arms. "Zac what am I going to do? She's my Princess Zac and she's hurting and it has something to do with you boy. Andy and I are fine, you and your wife are not." Grampa hinted. "Oh my God Sis." Chele gasped as they all turned to look, finding Jessy all covered up in a long sleeve sweatshirt and sweatpants, carrying things to the table. Diana following her glaring at Zac. "Man I wouldn't want to be you." Taylor whispered. "Sweetie you sure you're not too warm." Walker asked. "Fine." Jessy mumbled not lifting her eyes before making her way back in for the next load as everyone stared at Zac. "I'm going, I'm going." Zac shared grabbing a towel and heading in. "Babe can I talk to you?" Zac asked. "Fine if you have to." Jessy answered, standing still, staring at the floor. "Jessy don't do this. I didn't mean it like this. Jessy I'd just made love to you and didn't notice how small you've gotten babe. There's nothing wrong, I know how hard you've been working since the first of the year. Babe I'm so sorry. Me and my mouth. I'm back to being the jerky Grandson." Zac explained receiving no response as he moved near her. Zac stopped an arm's length away from her, giving her space to be angry. "Remember how I used to always put my foot in it, you wanting to whoop my ass?" Zac reminded as she stood still. "Bet you wish you had. Maybe I would have finally learned how not to hurt you.Jessy It kills me when I do this. Why God? The most important person in my life and I go a run my mouth and rip her heart out time and time again. I'm so sorry Jessy. I don't know why I do this to you. You would think I ddn't love you the way I hurt you." Zac shared his shoulders drooping and head hung low shaking no. "Babe I do love you, you're my life and I'd do anything to make this better. You can't think this about yourself. It's not what I think. Damn Jessy I've been hopping your bones two three, four times a day for maybe the past two months." Zac explained suddenly getting quiet. Jessy peeked up at him puzzled by the look on his face, he was deep in thought. "You poor thing. Man maybe that's why you're so tiny, I'm a sex maniac and I'm screwing you to death.." Zac finally shared seriously. Jessy stood there thinking "My don't we think a lot of ourselves." as the first chuckle broke free and before long she was laughing hysterically, ending on the floor rolling from side to side. She caught a glimpse of him as she rolled back, noticing he wasn't laughing with her. "Get real Zac." Jessy said grabbing his leg. "I am. You I worry about. I'm not the one dressed in sweats on an 80 degree day, rolling back and forth on the floor laughing about something serious like your health." Zac answered as calmly as possible, pulling his leg from her grasp and stepping back. Jessy was shocked at his reaction at first and then her blood started to boil, "How dare you talk down to me." Jessy said rising from the floor. "Apologize now." she demanded. "For what? I know apologize for something I didn't do, like I always do huh? If you didn't twist around everything I say, trying to cause trouble, we wouldn't have any." Zac answered. "Fine then." Jessy said glaring at him. "Yeah fine then how dare you not do what I told you." Zac replied. "Anything else?" Jessy asked as calmly as she could, biting the inside of her lip to keep from screaming. "What?" Zac asked looking at her. Jessy glared at him, "Well let's see, my body disgusts you. I turn what you say around just to cause trouble. Oh and I'm bossy. Is that about it, or is there more?" Jessy asked still glaring at him, adding, "I didn't forget anything did I?" Zac was speechless. "Well if you think of anything else, feel free to stop me and share. It's always such a pleasure. If you'll excuse me, I have things to do." Jessy said turning her back to him and loading up and taking things to the picnic tables knowing everyone just heard everything through the screen door. She prepared for Walker or Diana's comment but they kept it to themselves. She noticed Chele rise and walk her way until Taylor pulled her back. Jessy turned to get the rest of the things, noticing Zac still standing there, "Either really slow on the uptake or he's thought of something else and can't wait to share." She made two more trips, Zac just standing there watching and everyone else keeping their distance. When she finished, she walked past him not saying a word, her defensive wall around her almost daring him to speak. Jessy made her way down the hall to Chele's room again, changing into her fist choice, a flowery print cotton full length dress that buttoned up the front with a sash to adjust the fullness. As she stepped in front of the mirror, she collapsed to the floor sobbing until her Mommy radar kicked on. Jessy quickly grabbed the sweats she had worn wiping her face and dropping them in the laundry before making her way down the hall to find Andy fussing in Grampa's arms as Diana took him. "No Mum. Mum." Andy insisted as Zac took him. "No Dada. Mum." Andy insisted. "Buddy Mum doesn't feel good right now. She'll be here soon though. She loves you." he answered trying to calm him. "Mum." Andy squealed catching sight of her, wiggling to get free. Zac put him down and off he raced screaming, "Mum." Jessy bent to his size, "Hi my little man. I heard you in my heart, needing me. I love you Andy." Jessy said caressing his little face before kissing him. "Mum." Andy squealed. "Andy." Jessy squealed as he kissed her. Jessy picked him up, singing and dancing their way around the patio as Andy squealed with joy. Walker emptied the grills, and called the family to dinner. "Zac I forget Andy's highchair, would you.. oops nevermind." Jessy started to ask as "How dare I not do what you told me." rang through her mind. Jessy turned and headed back to the house balancing Andy, dragging the high chair, stopping at the door opening it as Walker arrived, "Allow me." he said taking Andy leaving Jessy with the chair and something to laugh about. "Thanks Daddy." Jessy giggled. "Anytime sweetie." Walker said, adding, "I think your son wants to sit next to his Papa." "Not to hurt your feelings or anything Daddy, you're sitting next to the food. It's the food he's drooling over not you." Jessy teased. "Andy my boy, tell me it's not true?" Walker asked picking up a steak with his fork and waving it near him and he smiled as his eyes got big. "You just love me for the food." Walker pouted putting the steak on his plate cutting off the meat and handing Andy the bone to suck and chew on. Jessy loaded his plate with the things he could have. "Daddy you sure you want to feed him?" Jessy asked. "Of course we do. His first night home. You just go sit down Mum, MumMum is here." Diana shared. "Here's his plate then. I'll leave you three alone." Jessy teased looking for a place to sit, the only empty place next to Zac. "I can do this. I can do this." she chanted in her mind but as she neared she felt the tension. "Andy all set?" Zac asked. "Yeah your folks insist, it's his first night home. I think they're planning on us staying. Let me rephrase that, I know they plan on Andy staying, probably have him sleep in their bed. I don't think they care what we do as long as Andy is here." Jessy answered. Don't care about you. I don't think she's noticed I'm here." Grampa teased. "Wait until you're holding your son and he whimpers and she gives you the look. You know the look, "What are you doing to my grandson, you, you mother you." Chele shared. "Hey I'm her son and right now I don't think she could remember my name." Taylor teased. "Oh she knows your name, JT's father." Jessy teased and they all laughed. "Get it Tay, I mean JT's father. That's a good one." Chele laughed, adding, "Hey Andy's dad." "You talking to me. I said you talking to me?" Zac said doing his Stallone impression. "That means I have no name." Grampa suggested. "No you're now Andy and JT's Great Grampa formerly known as Grampa formerly know as Daddy." Zac shared. "Wow I got a long name." Grampa replied as they all laughed again. Zac placed his hand next to hers feeling the energy between them then looking her way. Jessy was still laughing, "You're so beautiful." Zac whispered lifting a couple fingers, teasing hers before he lightly placed his hand over hers. She stopped laughing trying to decide what to do, "Drop it Jessy. It was a stupid fight. He loves you more than anything. You can feel it in his touch. Drop it." she thought as she looked at their hands. Jessy slowly raised her eyes to his, "I love you too Zac." Jessy whispered before leaning towards him, kissing him tenderly as the whole table cheered. "Wow don't take much to please them." Jessy said as their lips parted. "Nope pretty easy to please." Zac declared. "Mum. Dada." Andy squealed over and over until Walker carried him and his chair down to the end of the table next to Zac. "Hey buddy what's all the noise for?" Zac asked. "Dada." Andy said looking at Jessy. "You want your Mum huh?" Zac asked as Andy reached to be picked up. "Ewww what a messy boy." Zac said as all the food he dropped started falling. "I know." Zac said racing him to the lake washing him off as he squealed. On the way back he grabbed a towel, wrapping him up before handing him to Jessy. "Mum." Andy sighed. "Hi my little man." Jessy said hugging and kissing him until he quieted and fell asleep in her arms. She held him as everyone finished supper and talked over cake. "I won't take no for an answer. We've made up a room for you downstairs, you're staying until I say you can go home." Diana shared. "You'll have to forgive her. This last tour was hard on her." Walker shared as he wrapped an arm around his crying wife. "We heard. Tay shared the Andy collection. We'd love to stay. Right Zac?" Jessy answered. "Sure Babe anything for mom." Zac replied helping Jessy to her feet. "Why don't you show us our new room, Andy's ready for bed, so is my wife." Zac said following his folks in the house putting his family to bed for the night.
