Day Has Come

Part Fifty Nine

Christmas came and went with joyous celebration. The family was preparing for the New Year and Taylor and Chele's first anniversary. "It's a wonderful idea Taylor but she won't go. You still don't get it do you?" Jessy argued. "Get what?" Taylor asked. "The fact you ask what, proves you have no idea what that comment did to Sis. Taylor she is so insecure right now, any pregnant woman is. And that fan's comment two months ago about is she expecting twins, did her in. When you already feel like a cow, to have someone ask if you are having twins and it's only one. I can't imagine what that would feel like. I know you don't mean to but you keep comparing her to me and my carrying Andy. Taylor we are so different you'd swear we weren't sisters." Jessy shared. "Duh!! You aren't." Taylor answered sarcastically. "Why do I bother to talk to you, you, male." Jessy screamed. "Duh!!! I'm your husband's brother, that makes me a male." Taylor screamed back. "What is going on?" Zac asked entering the room, adding, "You two out to wake up Sis and the baby?" "Zac you talk to him, tell him there's no way Sis is going back to Cancun." Jessy explained throwing her arms up in the air and heading down the hall to check the baby.   "Man Sis has only gone out in public once in the past three months and you honestly think she's going to travel to celebrate your anniversary. Get real bro. It ain't gonna happen." Zac declared. "Yeah I guess you're right, I mean Jessy is right. I have to do something." Taylor insisted, adding, "Oh big guy I woke you up. I'm sorry baby. Sis I'm sorry, you were right. I didn't want to admit it because I'd be without an anniversary present and little time to come up with something special and she deserves something special after everything she's been through." Taylor explained taking the baby, walking and rocking him back to sleep before putting him back in his crib. "Sis can you help me?" Taylor asked returning to the room. "I'll do it because Andy loves you cuz I sure don't. You're stubborn." Jessy answered. "And she knows all about stubborn." Zac teased. "You be careful, I know where you live and I know the person who cooks your meals." Jessy teased back. "Oops. Forgot about that! You're on your own Tay." Zac replied wrapping his arms around her, kissing her cheek,, then nibbling her ear before kissing her neck.. "I know I don't deserve your help and you're doing this just because the baby and I are best buds. I really appreciate this Sis." Taylor said and the three sat and put their heads together coming up with the perfect solution to Taylor's problem. Zac and Taylor headed out making arrangements while Jessy made final plans at home, waiting for Chele and Andy to wake. "Hello." Jessy answered the ringing phone. "Hey babe. Everything is a go on this end. Mom said she's set up for Andy now except maybe his favorite toys. She also has quite a few of your clothes that you sent the girls home in, so we just need to pack up some clothes for me." Zac shared. "Well that will give me something to do. Man Tay really put him back to sleep, he's sleeping so soundly." Jessy shared and after the call, she busied herself packing for Zac. "What are you doing?" Chele asked entering the room totally confused. "Oh you're awake. How you feeling?" Jessy asked desperately searching for an explanation to give her. "Worried. What are you doing Sis? Where's Zac?" Chele asked the worry apparent on her face. "Calm down Sis. Zac rode along with Taylor to keep him company and I'm trying to make room in the closet by getting rid of some of Zac's things. It's fun watch, I walk in the closet, pull something out, "Hun do you still want this?" I ask and when he doesn't answer, I say "I take it you don't want it anymore." Jessy explained and the two laughed together. "Man I have to remember your cleaning technique, closet space is a premium at Grampa's still." Chele shared. "I plan on cleaning out the dresser next time he leaves me alone." Jessy shared and they laughed at the thought. "What's so funny?" Zac asked entering the room as Jessy quickly hid the suitcase under their bed as Chele covered for her. They were busy making supper, "You two ought to stay again, you know spend the night. Sis you have all of my maternity clothes to choose from and Tay can borrow from Zac. All you have to do is let Grampa know. I know, invite him to dinner." Jessy suggested. "I'd love to stay Tay. I feel so comfortable here. Sometimes I feel like Grampa can hardly stand my moaning and groaning." Chele shared. "Sure baby, anything you want. You know that babe." Taylor answered dialing and inviting Grampa to dinner. "He'll be here in fifteen." he shared and they got serious about preparing dinner. Over dinner,Taylor and Chele deided to stay with Zac and Jessy until their anniversary, "I still don't get it. What is Mom doing starting this early? I'll never make it until midnight when I start partying at breakfast." Chele complained giving Jessy a hand with Andy. "Sis go pick out a couple of his favorite toys to take along, or watch him and I'll do it." Jessy asked. "You know I can't resist spending time with him. I adore him." Chele confessed cuddling the baby. "You know his favorite toy is his train set." Zac shared entering the room. "No it's the Harley." Taylor argued. "Not you two again, I thought I got rid of you two." Jessy moaned. "What?" Zac asked, adding, "You did. Jessy thats not nice. You sent us to the store and we've got a case of diapers in the basement don't we?" Zac asked not thrilled with being deceived. "Zac. Don't feel that way. Yeah we have a case of diapers in the basement but they're not the same. I sent you to buy a smaller size. Zac your mother forgets to fold the bigger ones down so the end up drooping and his little jeans get wet. Gees Zac, that wasn't nice accusing me of decieving you." Jessy replied glaring at him. "Whoa. Back up. Zac relax man." Taylor suggested as Jessy could no longer stand it, looking away as her shoulders drooped and she thought to herself. "He thinks I'd play games, deceive him. Why? How could he think I'd do that." Jessy looked back at him as he spoke with Taylor before she disappeared down the hall. "Jessy. Jessy wait please." Zac pleaded hot on her heels. "Now what have I done wrong?" Jessy asked the hurt evident in her voice. "You didn't do anything wrong. Jessy I'm sorry. Please look at me?" Zac pleaded. "Zac just drop it. I still have so much to do and your Mom is waiting." Jessy answered with her back to him. "I'll help you. Just tell me what you need?" Zac asked reaching out, taking her arm and turning her to him. "Umm Zac, that's what started all of this, I asked you to help me. God I'll never do that again." Jessy answered shaking her head no and pulling away from him and heading to Andrew's room. Zac followed, finding her packing up a few of the baby's toys. "I love you Jessy. I cant believe I accused you of behaving that way. Forgive me please." Zac pleaded taking her hand in his. "Zac of course I forgive you. I guess it seemed that way." Jessy shared pulling away and busying herself at Andy's toy box. She could feel his disappointment but couldn't help herself, she was dsappointed too. The few minutes of silence seemed an eternity, broken by the sounds of him leaving. "Oh Zac I'm sorry too." Jessy whispered as her tears broke free and she collapsed to the floor. "Oh sis don't cry." Chele said entering the room with the baby, making her way to her. "Don't let Andy see me, he wouldn't understand." Jessy whimpered, hiding her face. "Jessy why are you crying?" Chele asked. "That time of the month I guess. I don't know." Jessy answered instead of sharing the truth. The two of them finished packing up and loaded the baby, making their way to the folks' to celebrate the New Year. "There's my baby." Diana squealed as they entere the door. "Hey Mom." Zac replied as she made her way to Jessy and the baby, taking Andy in her arms. "Hey big guy. How's my boy." Walker said making his way past Zac to the baby. As Isaac and Mandy arrived, "Hey Zac where's that baby?" Isaac asked. "The folks have him. Get in line for their attention." Zac answered sarcastically. "Bad mood." Isaac declared as he and Mandy made their way to the baby and Zac headed downstairs to the gameroom. "Man what's with your husband. Such a grumpy gus." Taylor shared as he came up to check on Chele. "Hey babe and baby." he said kissing Chele then her belly. "Hey daddy." Chele whispered kissing the top of his head as he lay on her belly talking to the baby, adding, "You spoil the baby already." "That's my job right? You grow them big and healthy and I spoil them rotten. Isn't that what the instructions said?" Taylor teased. "You are impossible but I still love you." Chele whispered. "A whole year babe, it seems like just yesterday you walked down that aisle to me. What a vision? Babe my heart stood still when I turned and saw you. I thought Man am I in trouble, here to get married and I'm thinking these thoughts about this angel. Wait that's my angel. Yippee, I'm the luckiest man on earth." Taylor shared. "Jordan Taylor Hanson you are so full of it. It doesn't seem possible does it. Just think in six weeks we'll be a family, you, me and old stinky here. You've spoiled it rotten." Chele teased. "Don't be calling my neice or nephew stinky, you hear me. You do not smell, no matter how rotten we spoil you." Jessy shared making her way to them, rubbing her sister's belly. "So what did you mean, what's up with Zac?" she asked. "Man Jessy he's so down. I mean I beat him at ping pong because he just stood there at times all zoned out like. And the look on his face, bummer." Taylor explained. "Bummer, no the dude has a serious bad mood going." Isaac shared as he joined them, adding, "What's happened? Zac's normally the life of the party." "That would probably be me that happened. We sort of had some harsh words. No not we, me. I sort of told him I'd never ask for his help again." Jessy shared preparing for the worse. "You said that? Never again. Jessy how cruel." Isaac replied. "But he said, suggested, oh I don't know why I was mad at him now. Why do I do this? I didn't mean it, doesn't he know that. I was just angry at him for what he said." Jessy explained tears filling her eyes. "Oh yeah when he accused you of playing with us and sending us to the store for something you already had." Taylor reminded. "Me playing girlie games. So not." Jessy defended. "Still Jessy, never again. That's really harsh. I wouldn't want to hear it." Isaac shared. "He's right lil sis, I wouldn't want to hear never again. Man it's so forever like." Taylor agreed. "Jessy even though you weren't wrong, go apologize. It is a little extreme huh?" Chele said giving her that big sis look. "You think?" Jessy asked. "Me thinks." Chele teased. "Well you haven't steered me wrong yet. If I don't come back, look for freshly turned ground out by the trees." Jessy teased heading to the kitchen. "Hey daddy, do you mind playing with my little boy so I can go play with yours?" Jessy asked. "Huh? What? Oh me play with Andy and you play with Zac. Lucky Zac." Walker teased."I sort of said something I didn't really mean and he thinks I did from the way he's acting." Jessy shared. "Oh sweetie he knows you love him." Diana added. "Maybe not right now so I'm going to go remind him." Jessy replied kissing the baby and heading downstairs. As she cleared the stairs, there was Zac staring out at the lake. "Do you think the ice is thick enough so we can go skating?" Jessy asked as Zac spun around looking at her like he didn't believe she was there, speaking to him. "Uh I don't think so babe. It's been awfully warm this winter." he answered. "Darn." Jessy pouted making her way to him, adding, "Now what we going to do?" "Hmm I don't know. What you want to do?" Zac asked as she neared. "I don't know. Your folks have the baby. It was so nice of us to have him for them don't you think?" Jessy teased. "Yeah they sure seem to like him." Zac replied. "You know he's about the best thing that's ever happened to me, right after you." Jessy shared as she reached out and stroked his hair. "Zac thanks for giving me Andy. He's so cool and I love being a Mommy. I guess maybe I love it too much sometimes and I'm sorry because I think sometimes you forget how much you mean to me, how much I love you." Jessy shared tears filling her eyes, finishing, "Zac I'm nothing without you. You're the best part of me." "Baby don't cry. I love you too. I know you love me and I shouldn't go pouting around because you love Andy so much. I don't mean to be jealous even though I am at times." Zac explained. "Oh Zac. I'm sorry. I didn't mean what I said. I was just hurt that you'd think I'd play games with you. I know you watch me play with everyone else's heads but honest Zac, I couldn't do that to you. It be like doing it to me, you're part of me. Besides you know me to well, I could never get away with it." Jessy said fighting the tears, laughing at the end. "Yeah it would be kind of a stupid thing to try." Zac replied wrapping his arms around her pulling her closer, adding, "I mean sometimes I know what you're thinking before you do." "Yeah, so why 'd you think I'd ever try that with you. You know I don't play in your league." Jessy asked. "I'm not touching that one. Nope I don't want to fight anymore." Zac answered. "Oh you wuss. It's so much fun making up when we fight." Jessy said sitting on his lap, caressing his face. "Let's just say we did and make up." Zac suggested kissing her deeply, whispering into their kiss, "I'm sorry babe." "Me too Zac." Jessy shared pulling away from his lips. "Zac I shouldn't have said I'd never ask for your help again. Like I could do anything without you by my side. It was just mean and I'm so sorry." Jessy apologized. "Jessy you were hurt by what I accused you of, I understand. Really I do." Zac explained. "But it doesn't make it right. It was just mean. God I'm sorry Zac, why would I be mean to you. I love you." Jessy asked laying her head on his shoulder. "Maybe because what I said was even meaner. Jessy I know you wouldn't mess with me that way. I don't know maybe it was your teasing that you thought you got rid of us. I don't know something just snapped but I know you better than that, there was no excuse for what I said." Zac explained. "Ummm Zac?" Jessy asked. "What babe?" Zac replied. "Ummm can we makeup now?" Jessy asked flirting with him. "So you want to makeup huh?" he asked. "Oh yeah, I'm real, real sorry and I want to make it better." Jessy answered making eyes at him. "You're so cute. I think I'm real, real sorry too." Zac replied kissing her passionately. "Whoa. You sure are sorry." Jessy sighed before kissing him back longer and harder as she moaned. "Zac." Jessy squealed as he stood up holding her, adding, "Man it's a good thing you got this body I love so, or we'd still be sitting there." Jessy stroked his biceps as Zac walked them to the spare room, pushing the door shut. "Wait." Jessy ordered as she reached down and locked the door. "You are sorry." Zac teased. "Real sorry Zac." Jessy answered gazing into his warm brown eyes as Zac walked them to the bed, gently laying her down. She smiled up at him, "I love you for the way you make me feel." "I love the way you feel too." Zac replied caressing her face before making his way down her body as she came to life from his touch. "I love the way you feel too." Jessy said pushing him over undressing him. "My turn." Zac said pushing her back over, undressing her before making love to her. "Zac how could you ever think I meant I didn't need your help. Only you can help me feel this way." Jessy shared. "Yeah I know babe. Just plain dumb of me." Zac answered kissing the top of her head, "Ewww you're leaking. Must be time to feed the baby." Zac teased. "Man I haven't leaked in like forever." Jessy said as Zac cupped her breast and applied pressure. "I'm a good little Dutch boy, I stop the leak." he teased. "You're crazy and I love you for it. Oh Zac." Jessy said her eyes filling with tears. "Man I stop the leak her and now it's coming out here." Zac teased lifting his other hand to wipe a tear from her cheek as they both laughed. When the leaking stopped they got dressed and headed up to find the baby, "I'm stopping in here." Jessy said heading into the bathroom as Zac made his way up the stairs. "What's all the racket for? What's the matter Andy? Come to Daddy." Zac said taking the crying baby from his mother. "We've tried everything and he still cries." Diana shared as Andy quieted laying in Zac's chest. "Looks like he needed Daddy." Walker shared as Andy lifted his head and looked around, seeing her and smiling big. "Until he can have his Mommy." Zac admitted as Andy stuck his arms out to her. "Hey big guy. Were you calling me?" Jessy asked making her way to them hugging Zac from the back and kissing the baby as he squealed. "Oh I'm happy to see you too." Jessy teased leaning around Zac looking under the opposite arm he was holding Andy in, adding, "Peek a boo." Andy laughed and they played the game a little whil longer until Andy let it be know he was done playing and the two headed to the rocking chair in the Family room. "Big change in old sour puss. You have the touch lil sis." Taylor shared helping Chele into a recliner, covering her with a afghan before sitting on the arm of the chair, stroking her belly as Chele drfted off t sleep. "She's so tired lately." Taylor shared his worries evident. "It's not as easy as it looks. I remember times, I felt so drained I couldn't even get up." Jessy explained. "When? You never looked it." Taylor asked. "Like I was going to let you see me that way. It was hard enough letting Zac know." Jessy answered. "He never said anything." Taylor replied. "Like why would he. Hey everybody being pregnant is no piece of cake. Get real." Jessy teased. "He shared how great making love was." Taylor declared. "Wow. I didn't know. Umm." Jessy was speechless. "Not in deatail babe, I wouldn't do that. More like it's the greatest feeling when you make her come to life and you both love each other is all." Zac explained entering the room. "It definitely is the greatest feeling. But he knows first hand now." Jessy teased. "Yeah it is pretty awesome." Taylor shared. "What's awesome?" Isaac asked as he and Mandy entered the room. "Making love." Taylor answered. "Definitely awesome." Isaac replied. "What's awesome?" Walker asked entering the room. "Making love Dad. But you've known that for a long, long time." Zac teased. "Nothing like it with the right woman." Walker sighed as Diana entered, "What with the right woman?" she asked. "Making love with the right woman is awesome." Walker answered. "And how would you know, you've only made love to one woman in your life." Diana questioned. "And it was right and still is." Walker declared wrapping her in his arms. "Man we are all so lucky. God has been good to us." Jessy exclaimed kissing the top of the baby's head as he nursed before looking up at Zac. "You can say that again." Zac agreed leaning down and kissing her sweetly, before leaning down and kissing the top of the baby's head. "Looks like he's so contented he fell asleep there. Can't blame him." Zac added. "Babe take him and put him down for me okay?" Jessy asked. "Sure babe, anything you know that." Zac answered lifting Andy from her arms. "Yeah Zac I know that. Thanks hun." Jessy answered kissing his cheek before he headed down the hall with the baby. "Walker let go, I'm not sure I got the crib made up." Diana insisted. "We did it together this morning, remember. Let's go see our little boy's little boy sleeping in his crib though." Walker insisted. "O you old softie, I love you so much Walker Hanson." Diana declare kissing him deeply. "Cool." Walker teased as they headed after Zac. "I love you so much Isaac Hanson." Mandy echoed, kissing him deeply. "I love you so much Chele Hanson." Taylor whispered leaning down and kissing her sweetly. "Man sickening sweet in here." Jessy said heading to the kitchen. "Major munchies babe. What's up?" Zac asked finding Jessy in the kitchen chowing down. "Man I don't know Zac. First I'm leaking, now I'm starved. I'm a mess." Jessy shared as Grampa came through the door, followed by Aunts, Uncles, cousins, "Let the party begin." Zac teased as the family celebrated. When everyone had arrived and partied for a while, "Hey guys I just wanted all of you to know that one year ago today this lovely lady made me the happiest man on earth and becme my wife and as you can see, she's about to top that by making me father. I hope I'm as good a Dad as mine is. Anyway to show her how much I love her still and always will. Here babe." Taylor said handing her an AirLine folder. "Taylor no." Chele exclaimed with a worried look on her face as she slowly opened the folder. "Oh Taylor this is wonderful. Sis are you guys sure?" Chele squealed. "We're sure." Zac answered. "Oh Taylor thanks it's just what I needed. How'd you know?" Chele asked as tears broke free and traveled down her face. "I definitely had a lot of help from some very smart sister." Taylor answered. "But I did it because Andy loves him, not me. He's stubborn." Jessy shared. "Talk about stubborn. Ooops. Sorry Sis. We can still go right?" Chele asked waving the folder at her. "Of course you can. I'm sorry I didn't notice sooner is all." Jessy answered hugging her tight, "You just relax and enjoy yourself. He really loves you Sis and would do anything for you." she whispered. "I know. This really proves it. I love Grampa and all but, but." Chele said at a loss for words. "Being pregnant is not a piece of cake." Jessy shared. "Yeah especially when the whole world is watching. How you ever managed I'll never understand. In the spotlight constantly. I have a new respect for you." Chele whispered. "I have an amazing husband too." Jessy answered as Zac and Taylor joined them. "You take good care of her bro. She's special." Zac said wishing them well and a happy New Year. The family gathered round and wished them well as Taylor helped his wife into the car and then drove away. "Where are they going? Back to Cancun?" a relative asked. "I'm not sure what their destination is, Taylor didn't share that part." Jessy answered for the first time of many with the lie they had rehearsed knowing that Taylor was headed to their house for the next two weeks for some definitely needed one on one time with his wife while she, Zac and the baby stayed with his folks.
