Day Has Come

Part Fifty-three

"If that doesn't prove it." Chele said to Jessy's falling asleep. "There's no way she'd sleep in the middl of the day unless she was sick or pregnant." she insisted. "Hun give me the keys to the car. I'll go get one of the pregnancy test kits then we'll know for sure." Mandy asked. "Great idea. I'll ride along Sis." Chele said. "Hey what about me?" Taylor asked. "Baby I'm sure you are not pregnant." Chele teased. "Oh you weirdo. I mean you're leaving me silly." Taylor pouted. "Want to come with us then?" Chele asked. "What about me?" Isaac pouted and the four headed out returning with a home pregnancy test kit about the time Jessy awoke. "Zac, I fell asleep." she mumbled as she woke. "I noticed, you feeling better babe?" Zac asked kissing her tenderly, before adding, "Your sisters ran to the drug store and brought you a test to take. Sure hope you don't fail it." "What?" Jessy asked as Zac lightly caressed her belly. "Oh one of those tests. Great idea, I'm dying to know for sure Zac. I just keep having these feelings, you know I've had them for quite a while now, I've just been putting them off not paying attention to them. Zac, I feel so bad, I should have known." Jessy rambled on finally slipping her hand in Zac's as they both caressed her belly. "Babe it's okay. So much has been going on. Jessy honest the baby understands, we weren't ignoring it. The baby knows we love it and are so happy that it's here." Zac insisted as Jessy wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him tight with such desperation, "How do you always know what I need to hear." she shared, kissing him deeply. "Jessy you know I can't explain it, I've just always known. I figure it's part of you being meant for me, I know what's important to you. It's what's important to us Jessy, I feel bad too babe, I should have known." Zac confessed. "Oh Zac." Jessy sighed, "Come with me? Who's got the test I gotta take?" Jessy asked as she crawled from bed. "It's waiting for you in the bathroom Sis in Zac's old drawer." Mandy answered, then explained to Zac exactly what they needed to know, adding, "Don't look at me that way, I read the instructions. We've been careful and I've never been tested." "I keep trying but she's so determined to finish college first." Isaac shared. "I've enrolled too. Almost have my freshman year completed, I was thinking I'd wait until after the New Year to take my finals." Jessy shared heading out the door. "You're what? Babe you didn't tell me." Zac exclaimed. "I didn't. You sure Zac? I'm so sorry babe, I meant to, I thought I did, you sure? God no wonder I'm almost two months pregnant and don't know it. I'm pathetic." Jessy chastised herself, collapsing against the door, "It's all just too much. I can't do this." "Jessy. Don't cry babe. You're not pathetic Jessy. You know how hectic our lives have been. You can't blame yourself for forgetting a few things. Jessy you have entertained the family non-stop since we came home from our honeymoon, how you even keep going amazes me." Zac said wrapping her in his arms whispering, "I love you Jessy, it'll be okay." "You always know. Zac I love you so much." Jessy insisted wiping her eyes, kissing his cheek, then heading to the bathroom hand in hand. "I can't stand the waiting. I'm going nuts." Jessy said returning without Zac. "You are impossible. It's only a ten minute wait." Mandy insisted tossing a pillow at her. "Oh my god you could have hit the baby." Jessy teased first laughing before her face showed her concern. "Jessy, Sis what is it?" Chele asked. "It's, it's, God sis it mush have been ten minutes already. Oh why didn't I keep my mouth shut until I knew I was pregnant for sure. Zac is probably in there trying to figure out how to tell me i'm not pregnant. What could be wrong with me though, this isn't like me. I mean things have been stressful but not enough not to have a period." Jessy fretted. "Tay go check on your brother. Please baby, for me?" Chele said making her way to Jessy. "Sis you have to be, okay, that's all you hear me. Maybe Zac fainted at the good news, or maybe that's your answer." Chele said turning her to the door where Zac stood with a finger to his mouth. "Ssshh! Don't tell anybody but Jessy's having my baby." Zac whispered with the biggest smile on his face. "Zac. Really?" Jessy squealed racing to him, throwing her arms around his neck. "Really Jessy." Zac answered twirling her as he kissed her deeply. "She passed the test." Zac shared as they were surrounded by the others, hugging and kissing them. "Zac I can't keep this from Momma, she'd never forgive me and neither would your folks, God Grampa. Please hun, let's tell them okay but that's it, nothing to the rest of the world until later, much later like when they guess because II'm huge and out to Isaac.." Jessy asked. "Wow, that's far." Zac teased. "You know what I mean." Jessy insisted. 'Yeah babe. You're right we should tell the folks, they wouldn't understand our not sharing with them." Zac answered as they made their way downstairs. "How'd you manage to get to a drug store without the third degree anyway?" Jessy asked. "We said you needed Pepto and Tay and Ike stole the three bottles Mom had in the house, so we went after more is all." Chele answered. "That's your almost mother-in-law you just made feel bad." Jessy warned. "It was her sons idea." Chele said pointing at Taylor. "Don't tell her that." Taylor said. "What are you arguing about?" Diana asked. "He's your son." Zac answered shaking his head as Jessy made a beeline for Grampa's lap. "How's my Lil Princess?" Grampa asked. "I'm fine Grampa, honest." Jessy answered looking up at him. "My Lord child. Oh baby that's wonderful." Grampa gasped holding her tight, adding, "Wonderful. Just wonderful. Zac you take good care of my Princess." "Always Grampa." Zac answered heading their way. "What's so wonderful? Daddy what is it?" Diana asked. "Can I tell her?" Grampa asked. "Sure Grampa, you can tell them all. " Zac answered hugging and kissing Jessy as Grampa hugged him. "How come you didn't tell me sooner, make me figure this out and all. You know I'm blonde." Jessy teased. "Oh Princess, I almost did ask you a couple of weeks back when you seemed so tired." Grampa shared before adding, "My Little Princess is having my great grandchild. Wow my great grandchild, what a blessing. Jessy, Zac." Grampa announced to the room as it errupted into oooh's and aaaah's. "This doesn't go any farther than this room for now, Jessy, we only want just us to know right now, until she's farther along and we know everythings is fine. We weren't even going to tell you guys yet, but as you saw it's a little obvious." Zac added. "I think Zac wrote it on my face. Do you see it Mom? Is it on my forehead, 'I'm Pregnant', did he write it there?" Jessy asked looking at Diana. "Oh my God baby, it's written all over your face. Jessy I'm so happy for you even though you know I think you're too young but I'm still so happy for you." Diana declared hugging Jessy and her father. "Congratulations Zak. Enjoy it son, it's a joy you can't describe, being a father. Right Dad?" Walker said wrapping an arm around his son. "Right son. As much as you think you love Jessy now, that will all change as she carries your child and after she delivers a beautiful, healthy baby and you take that baby in your arms for the first time, you will finally know what it's all about, the big picture." Grampa shared as Jessy rose from his lap and made her way to Zac, hugging him tight. "Thanks Zac." she whispered. "What for?" Zac asked. "For my special gift, our gift." Jessy whispered laying her head on his chest. "I didn't think about Chris, man we should tell Chris before any rumors start. Dad would you?" Zac asked. "Sure son. I agree he should know. So when are we due?" Walker asked. "As close as I can figure, nine months and three days after we got married, so like August 5th, the hottest time of the year, right in the middle of the tour. I wonder how far along I can get and still sing, I should be able to still sing right?" Jessy wondered. "Sure babe, you'll look so cute. The fans are going to love this, watching you grow. I can see all the Baby Hanson sights now." Zac shared. "Well that's all the baby talk for now. We have other more pressing things to talk about, Baby Hanson has seven months to go and Chele and Tay have on seven days to go and her family arrives tomorrow. Daddy are you still going to come in and pick them up for us or should we just switch vehicles?" Jessy asked. "No, mother and I will be there to pick up Donna, Bobby and Shane." Walker answered. "Daddy is spending the night and staying with the kids while we meet Chele's parents." Diana added. "Good because I'm not sure if my bathrom episode this morning was a wake up call or a sign of things to come, so I think I'll wait for them at home just in case." Jessy said as Zac wrapped her in his arms, rubbing her belly. "Then we'll pick up Chele on the way, unless you're spending the night again?" Walker asked turning to Taylor. "You know yo're welcome to stay, I haven't changed the sheets in your room yet, you're always welcome, besides if you stay, I don't have to wake up the fair Princess Chele. Please Tay, please, I'm pregnant, don't make me wake up the Troll Princess. Think of your neice or nephew, don't make me do it." Jessy teased. "It's okay sis, calm down, breathe, in, out, good, now a deep breath. I'll stay sis, for the baby's sake." Taylor teased taking her from Zac and hugging her, kissing the top of her head and then returning her to his brother. "If it's okay with you, I'll be spending the night, so we can go pick up your folks together." Taylor said slipping his arms around her waist, stepping into her. "I'm not grumpy in the morning Tay." Chele pouted. "I know baby, it's okay I still love you, even the morning you." Taylor assured kissing her sweetly. "Tay you don't have to stay, I can set and alarm." Chele offered. "That's okay baby, I'd love the chance to see you first thing in the morning." Taylor teased. "Maybe you better not. I plan on marrying you in a week, we better not take any chances." Chele teased. "Come help me pack, I'm staying." Taylor said taking her hand and leading her up to his room. "Ike, Mandy you know you're welcome to stay. You know if that was morning sickness earlier, I might need a hand fixing breakfast for everyone." Jessy suggested. "Sure Sis, we'll help out. Jessy it's going to be okay, I just know it is." Mandy said hugging her. "Thanks lil sis." Mandy whispered. "You''re welcome big sis. Thought you two could use a little couple time." Jessy whispered back as they headed up to pack too and Jessy headed back to Zac's arm and soon the six made their way into town, stopping at Grampa's to make sure Jessy's Mom and brothers found the way and were all set, before heading to Zac and Jessy's house. "Thanks again sis, as much as I love the family, I was about to scream, "No More." Mandy shared as they entered the house. "You, I about screamed for Joy when Daddy asked Tay if he was spending the night again. Way cool Daddy." Chele added as the guys carried their bags in and down the hall to the right rooms and the girls crashed on the couches in the living room. "Man I'm not comfortable, I'm going to change. Preferably something without a waistline." Jessy said unsnapping her jeans, moaning her relief. "Oh no." she squealed. "What babe? Jessy what is it?" Zac asked rushing into the room. "I can't get them buttoned back up. Zac help, I think I exploded." Jessy answered as Zac stared and started smiling. "What you smiling about, this is serious. Aaaah" Jessy moaned as Zac unzipped her jeans. "Sorry baby. I'll buy Mommy bigger jeans tomorrow." Zac said to her belly before kissing it. "Umm Zac, your brothers are standing behind you, watching you kiss my belly and my shirt isn't going to cover the fact that you unzipped my jeans to set my belly free." Jessy shared as Zac swept her up in his arms and headed to their room. "It may be awhile, you want to play in the game room?" Taylor asked and the four headed downstairs. "Jessy you're just beaming. I don't see how we're going to keep this from the rest of the world with you looking this way." Zac exclaimed. "I look this way because of you silly, not because I'm pregnant. I was just thinking that we haven't been alone since we realized we aren't alone anymore, there's somebody with us and has been with us for a while now. You know how much Mommy and Daddy love each other already don't you baby. Well as much as we love each other, that's how much we love you too." Jessy shared rubbing her belly as Zac placed her on their bed and undressed her. "It's just a miracle Jessy." Zac shared kissing her belly as he removed her panties then her bra. "You know, I thought you were, well more full as I appreaciated your body the other night." Zac said gently squeezing each breast before kissing her tenderly. "Oh Zac, make love to me?" Jessy pleaded pulling at his shirt, pulling it up and off his head as her hands search out the waistband of his jeans, quickly undoing them and pushing them downwards over his hips as she lifted a foot and pushed them down further. "Somebody's impatient." Zac teased climbing on top of her making love to her. "Aaaah Zac." Jessy sighed as they collapsed in each other's arms and Zac rolled them over. "What?" Jessy asked. "I'm not squishing our baby is all." Zac answered. "Oh get real Zac, the baby is still so tiny it wouldn't notice you on top of me." Jessy explained. "Well I didn't know and wasn't taking any chances." Zac replied as they lay in each others arms discussing their new future. "I'm hungry." Jessy announced and they got dressed and headed to the kitchen, making hamburgs and homemade french fries that Jessy craved. "Wow it's going to be good eating around here with your cravings." Isaac shared taking more fries. "You're just lucky I'm full." Jessy glared at him, adding, "But I want something, hmmm." "Oh boy Zac, that looks like trouble." Taylor said as they all watched her open cupboards, the refrigerator and freezer. "Babe what you looking for?" Zac asked slipping an arm around her. "I don't know Zac but whatever it is I have to have it." Jessy answered desperation in her voice. "How about something sweet babe. Where's my candy stash. Here babe ." Zac said opening the right drawer. "Ohhh" Jessy said her eyes lighting up as she searched the drawer. "Mmm." Jessy said grabbing sour gummis and a chocolate bar, taking a bite of the chocolate and then popping in a sour worm. "Mmm" Jessy sighed. "No don't close it." she said with her mouth full as Zac started to close the candy drawer. "I want to look at it, it makes me smile." Jessy said looking at the drawer of candy with such contentment. "You're so cute." Zac said lifting her up and placing her on the counter. "Zac you didn't finish eating. Hun I'm okay now, go finish your plate before your brother does." Jessy insisted. After dinner they headed to the game room, playing until first Jessy, then Mandy fell asleep. "Well look like you two are out of luck" Taylor teased as Isac decided to take the guest room downstairs carrying Mandy down the hall as Zac carried Jessy upstairs to their room.
