Day Has Come

Part Fifty-one

The final ten days passed quickly. Walker and Barbara went down to secure the marriage license, which Walker's connections downtown managed to keep secret until after the wedding. The wedding rehersal was held in a warehouse, with a video tape of the church so everyone had a pretty good idea of what would happen the following afternoon. Jessy and Zac even practiced their vows, singing 'From This Moment' as it was recorded and video was shot for release as a single. "From this moment life has begun. From this moment, you are the one. Right beside you is where I belong. From this moment on. From this moment, I have been blessed. I live only for your happiness. And for your love, I give my last breath. From this moment on. I give my hand to you with all my heart. I can't wait to live my life with you. I can't wait to start. You and I will never be apart. My dream came true. Because of you. From this moment as long as I live. I will love you, I promise you this. There is nothing, I would have missed. From this moment on. You're the reason I believe in Love. And you're the answer to my prayers from up above. All we need is just the two of us. My dream came true, because of you. From this moment as long as I live. I will love you. I promise you this. There is nothing I would have missed. From this moment I will love for as long as I live. From this moment on." "Perfect. You were so right, the echo effect here will help sell this to the number one slot in no time. This one will cross over all categories." Chris declared as they finished up and he decided to fly back and get production underway, promising to be back for the wedding. "Okay, now what happened to the bridge and groom? Zac? Jessy?" Reverend Miller asked as everyone fanned out searching for them. "Awww Mackie you're so good at hide and seek but I wanted Zac to myself for a little while." Jessy pouted. "No cry Jessy. I not tell nobody about me find you." Mackie shared. "Oh you're still my special fella." Jessy said bending to kiss him as he headed out. "So you ready to become Mrs Hanson babe?" Zac asked wrapping his arms back around her. "I can't wait until this is all over with. Tell me again why I wanted a big wedding, broadcasted for the world to see." Jessy whined. "Because you love me." Zac answered. "I what? Where on earth did you hear a thing like that?" Jessy teased. "Oh I sure needed seeing you. I can't believe it's almost been three days. How'd things get so busy I haven't seen you?" Zac asked kissing her neck, nibbling her ear. "Zac?" Jessy whispered. "What babe? Jessy what is it?" Zac asked concerned when he finally quit kissing her neck and looking at her and the question in her eye. "Zac I've waited so long for tomorrow and now I'm so scared." Jessy admitted. "Scared. Of what babe? Me?" Zac asked confused. "How could I ever be afraid of you silly? I trust you with my life, my heart, my soul Zac. No I'm afraid of the whole world watching us. It's like they're watching to see us fall on our faces, you know screw it up royally. I can see us followed every where, waiting for us to fight, get cross with each other." Jessy shared. "Babe don't worry what they think, they're just jealous. You know that trust you admitted to, you know that's what's going to prove them wrong don't you?" Zac asked. "Huh?" Jessy replied. "Trusting each other, that's the one thing that brings us through the hard times. Whenever I get frustrated or don't understand, I say Jessy loves me, I trust in that love babe." Zac shared. "Zac loves me, I trust in that love, everything will be okay." Jessy said closing her eyes and a peaceful smile came over Jessy's face. "Babe we better get back or we'll never get done." Zac suggested. "I'll be okay now Zac." Jessy replied and they headed back in and finished the rehersal. After, they all headed to the Country Club for dinner. Rosie and her kids joined them and they went over the plan for tomorrow. "So what do you want me to say?" Rosie asked. "What? No Rosie that's why I wanted you, I don't want a yes man. I wanted you because I respect your opinion, I want your words not ours coming out of your mouth." Jessy explained stealing the kids and heading for the rest of them playing games while waiting for their meals to be delivered. Soon the room was filled with the innocent laughter of children. Dinner was soon a memory and Zac was sitting on the front porch at Grampa's with his arms around Jessy waiting on Grampa to finish packing, "I can't believe this is the last I'll see you before you head down the aisle to become my wife. We made it Jessy." Zac congratulated themselves. "We still got time. Look at all those back seats in the driveway, take your pick." Jessy teased. "You are so totally terrible but I love you even more babe." Zac confessed as Grampa came out the door with a suitcase. "Now why does Grampa have to leave me again?" Jessy asked, complaining. "My lil princess, tomorrow will be so busy, it will just be easier if they don't have to worry about me in the way." Grampa explained. "I guess." Jessy replied sadly, adding, "Night my Grampa. Night my Zac. See you guys in church I guess." Jessy said kissing them booth goodnight before making her way to her room that she was sharing with Avie and Jessie. She dressed for bed and stretched out along the foot of the bed, falling fast asleep. Early the next morning the house load of females began showering/bathing according to the chart they made and the hairdresser and makeup artist arrived before nine in order to get everyone done in time. Rosie and her crew stopped by to witness the chaos, only to find Jessy at the dining room table making sure her little sisters all ate. "Jessy I never did ask you what he got you for your graduation present. Share won't you?" Rosie asked. "Oh that's right. I just want to tell you thanks Rosie, you're the one who insisted he owed me a graduation present. You rock." Jessy said. "Well what did you get gurl, spill it." Rosie pleaded. "Zac really out did himself on this one!" Jessy said digging into her pocket and producing her keys and held up the key to her new house. "Okay you were happy about this, so it isn't just the key, it must be what the key goes to right?" Rosie asked. "Rosie, Zac bought me a house for my graduation present." Jessy shared. "A house! He bought you a house for graduating High School?" Rosie squealed. "I said he out did himself. Yes, for graduating High School early, before I got married, my Zac bought me the house of my dreams and even had the white picket fence put in." Jessy smiled contentedly, "I'm still not good on directions here, Mom would you say our new house is less than an hour away from Grampa's house?" Jessy asked knowing she was about five minutes from her new house. "Most definitely. Especially the way you drive your new car." Diana answered. "You got a new car too?" Rosie asked. 'Yeah I did from my Mom and Daddy. They were proud of me too." Jessy said blushing, adding, "You see I had bought my own car, the little white mustang but I was always borrowing Mom's car because I hardly go anywhere with out my new brothers and sisters. Mommy you should have gotten the new car and me just get yours. Do you want my new car?" Jessy asked. "No baby, I just wanted mine back and I wouldn't mind my kids every once in awhile." Diana joked. "Oh, do I have too, I like them so much?" Jessy whined. "Sweetie, you I love. You bring us so much joy." Diana shared finally making her way to her, hugging and kissing her. "I love all of you guys too." Jessy admitted. "Well sweetie you're the last one, let's get you ready. Time to shower Jessy." Diana insisted. "I'm going." Jessy answered and soon she was having her hair and makeup done and they finished as the limos arrived to take the girls to the church. As they pulled up to the church, Jessy looked for signs of the guys being there, hoping to get a glimpse of Zac. "Sorry baby, they won't be here for another half hour." Diana whispered and Jessy looked back awed she knew what she was thinking and looking for. "I got married once baby and I was so anxious, I thought I was going to come out of my skin and was so grateful, Daddy was there to keep me from falling down. He wouldn't let his Princess fall and he won't let his Little Princess fall either." Diana said hugging her, calming her fears. "I'm so lucky he loves me too." Jessy whispered as they made their way inside to be dressed. "Now I have never been in a battle zone, but the chaos here, it'll be a miracle if anyone keeps their sanity. There she is our little bride to be patiently waiting her turn to be dressed for the biggest day of her life. Jessy how are you holding up?" Rosie asked. "Hey Rosie, everybody. This is a little nerve racking to say the least." Jessy said bending to pick up Zoe, whispering to her and rocking her in her arms. "You act like you like her. Isn't she just beautiful. I can see why." Rosie remarked. "Like her, I love my littlest sister. She's such a precious gift. My littlest angel." Jessy shared kissing her forehead, asking, "Have you seen Zac? How's he doing? "Zac, your future husband. Jessy he's on cloud nine, not a nerve, totally enjoying this. Actually, I have something for you from him." Rosie answered producing a present as Jessy's eyes got big and she and Zoe got excited. "Here you unwrap while Jessy reads." Jessy said handing the gift to Zoe and she anxiously opened the card, visibly moved by what was written, then smiling big before kissing the card. "Me do, me do." Zoe announced opening the box and producing a jewelry case. "Oh Zac it's beautiful." Jessy gasped as Zoe finally opened it, revealing two diamond heart outlines joined. "Oh Momma, Mom look what he bought me." Jessy squealed lifting it from the box. "Sis look isn't it just perfect." she squealed as the others came to her side. "You're right baby. That's just perfect." Diana agreed, adding, "It's time to get you dressed." as Chele fastened her new necklace and took her hand and soon she was dressed as Grampa appeared, announcing it was time to get the show on the road. "Are you ready my Little Princess?" Grampa asked. "My Day Has Come finally Grampa, this is what I'm meant to do." Jessy answered smiling as they made their way out and to the front of the church where Rosie was blown away, so much so they had to stop filming, giving her a chance to compose herself. "I have to admit to you all, not much throws me, but I'm telling you the inside of this church is going to gasp at the vision that just moved me to tears. Yes folks, I lost it, had to stop cameras. That's a first for me. Now you at home, I'm warning you sit and hang onto something, here's your first look at the Drummer Boy's Princess." Rosie narrated as the front doors were opened and Grampa escorted Jessy into the church that filled with gasps at the sight of her. "Oh my God, Grampa, look at him." Jessy gasped looking at Zac dressed like the Drummer Boy on their annoucement, in a band uniform type jacket. They made their way to the front of the church where Grampa answered the question 'Who gives this woman in marriage?' with, "Her mother and I, her Guardian do." before being seated as Jessy and Zac gazed at each other holding hands. "Zac you look so handsome. Just like my Drummer Boy you drew me." Jessy whispered. "And you are the most beautiful Princess on earth. I can't believe you're going to be mine." Zac whispered holding her hand tighter as the service continued and soon they exchanged vows, singing for their guests, producing tears and applause that soon turned to a standing ovation. "Whoa, maybe this single release will pay for this shingding." Jessy whispered. "Good idea, I was wondering which account we'd empty out to pay for all this fun." Zac kidded. Reverend Miller continued and they were soon pronounced man and wife and introduced to the church and the world. From the church, the wedding party and the majority of the guests loaded onto busses and were delivered to the Country Club for the reception. The receiving line seemed never ending. "Zac I finally got, we had to announce our wedding to the world because you're related to everbody." Jessy teased. "Yeah and that's just Dad's side of the family. You ready for Mom's side?" Zac teased back. "Bobbie. Thank God. I know somebody." Jessy squealed throwing her arms around him. "You have to forgive her, she's a little overwhelmed by the size of the family." Zac explained. "Now I understand why we had to change our plans and serve dinner. I sure hope they serve us over here, we'll still be meeting and greeting." Jessy complained. If that wasn't enough as the last guest was in sight the Wedding party was gathered for pictures. "Man. Who's idea was this big wedding, why didn't we just elope." Zac asked as Jessy glared. "Now you agree with me. Remember me the one that was never going to get married, so you decide Zac." Jessy teased. As promised, the kids were the happiest of the guests as they played games, rode ponies, were amazed by a magician, and surrounded by clowns. The wedding cake was in the shape of a castle complete with a Drummer Boy and Princess on top and the companion cakes in the shape of towers for the castle. After cutting the cake, as Zac got ready to feed Jessy her first bite of cake, he hesitated, staring at the cake and finally scooped up a finger full of frosting and daintly fed it to her. Jessy on the other hand almost choked him stuffing in so much cake and making such a mess which she lovingly licked clean before he kissed her deeply. "Well I have a surprise for you wife." Zac announced as Isaac and Taylor joined him and the three sang 'Amazed', "Everytime our eyes meet, This feeling inside me, Is almost more than I can take. Baby when you touch me, I can feel how much you love me, And it just blows me away. I've never been this close to anyone or anything. I can hear your thoughts, I can see your dreams. I don't know how you do what you do, I'm so in love with you, it just keeps getting better. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you by my side, Forever and ever. Every little thing that you do, Baby I'm amazed by you. The smell of your skin, The taste of your kiss. The way you whisper in the dark. Your hair all around me, baby you surround me, Your touch everyplace in my heart. Oh, it feels like the first time everytime. I wanna spend the whole night in your eyes. I don't know how you do what you do, I'm so in love with you, it just keeps getting better. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you by my side, Forever and ever. Every little thing that you do, Baby I'm amazed by you. Every little thing that you do, I'm so in love with you, It just keeps getting better. I wanna spend the rest of my life with you by my side. Forever and ever. Every little thing that you do, Oh, every little thing that you do, Baby I'm amazed by you." they finished as Jessy stood there crying with the biggest smile on her face, surrounded by Chele and Mandy with the same expression. "Walker this is going to be as big as Jessy and Zac's duet." Chris remarked. Dinner was served and at that point, Isaac and Taylor shared Best Man honors and toasted the bride and groom, praising Zac, sharing their brotherly love, their closeness and respect of each other and complimenting him on his great taste in women before welcoming Jessy to the family officially, "Zac isn't the only one who's fallen madly in love with you, all of us have. Mom and Dad adore you and like Grampa, they also love you best." Taylor teased. After dinner, the bride and groom opened the dance floor. "Ha! Jessy can pay for her college education with the money in this jar." Chele teased as she and Taylor supervised the Bride and Groom dances. "Yeah well, you don't even let them dance with her. Two, three steps and they're moving in the next guy." Taylor complained. "Well look at the line, we let them dance a dance, she'd be here a week or two. Fine, I'll let them dance with her longer but you have to explain to Zac why she's here still instead of on their honeymoon." Chele teased. "No, no. He'd kill me. He's so looking forward to tonight and the rest of their life." Taylor pleaded. "Yeah, Jessy said finally he can't tell her no. She'll never have to listen to one more of his lectures ending, not until our Wedding Night. Finally. It's about time their Day Has Come." Chele added. "So baby, I sure hope we aren't going to these extremes." Taylor asked wrapping his arms around her waist. "From what Jessy said, she is now related to everyone here except for about twenty people and the catering people and she's not too sure about some of them. So you tell me, do we have to invite your whole family." Chele teased. About eight or a little after, Zac snuck Jessy away to change only to be disappointed when the designer chased them down insisting she undress Jessy to take care of the dress. "Here's your chance Jessy, give him one of those lectures back. Tell him he has to wait." Diana suggested. "Mom you seem to have forgotten, I was the one who had to be lectured. So why is it Zac is dressing in the bathrooms?" Jessy pouted as they helped her out of her dress and she took her own sweet time dressing, hoping that they'd be done with the dress and leave so Zac could help her, but they all finished about the same time, leaving to find Zac waiting outside for Jessy. "I tried. I figure if I dagged my feet hoping they''d finish and you could come and help me. Wrong." Jessy said slipping onto his lap, caressing his face. "Zac I know I kept saying I didn't care, I never dreamed about a wedding, you decide. Hun this has all been so unforgettable. You know the stuff fairy tales are made of. I love you for making this so special." Jessy said kissing him deeply. "I'm glad you're happy, Mrs. Hanson." Zac replied. "Oh Zac. I don't believe it." Jessy gasped laying her head on his shoulder as she started to cry. "Jessy don't cry, I didn't mean to make you cry baby." Zac said trying to comfort her. "I know. I think I'm more than ready to get out of here." Jessy said raising her head gazing into his eyes. "I can't believe you've waited this long. Whoa maybe we waited to long." Zac said as Jessy yawned. "Well we have to go anyway, plane leaves in a half hour babe." Zac shared. "And when are you going to tell me where it is you're taking me?" Jessy asked suddenly wide awake. "Just mention the word honeymoon and you're wide awake." Zac teased as they headed out and soon were jetting off to where Jessy still didn't know, but it was far enough that she fell asleep. "Jessy you have to wake up babe. We need to change planes, to make it the rest of the way." Zac explained. "Geez it's the middle of the night where are we?" Jessy asked. "An airport." Zac answered. "Zac I know that, which airport, in which state, country?" Jessy asked. "Again with the where you taking me." Zac said grabbing her hand and leading her to a helicopter. "This is a helicopter not an airplane." Jessy squealed at him. "Don't ask, you'll see soon enough." Zac answered helping her into her seatbelt as their bags were loaded and they were soon off. "Zac why are we traveling at night, I can't see where we're going." Jessy complained. "Babe it's the only way Dad would let us go. He figured at night we wouldn't be noticed and might get some privacy." Zac explained. "So I have Daddy to thank for all this cloak and dagger suspense huh?" Jessy pouted as they landed. They were met and taken directly to their honeymoon cottage. "Zac it's beautiful, the ocean is out the back door." Jessy exclaimed as she checked out the rest of the rooms. "Cool." she said returning to him as the others left. For the next two weeks they were on a semi private Island in Hawaii, swimming, surfing, laying in the sun and enjoying married life. "Time to go home babe." Zac said waking her one morning. "Man. Zac who would ever think that as man and wife, you'd be the first one up. I've gotten lazy as your wife. You spoil me too much." Jessy shared. "I spoil you?" Zac asked. "Yeah, I feel so happy and content in your arms, I never want to get up." Jessy explained. "So you ready to go back to the real world." Zac asked. "Uuughh! You mean where we'll be followed every where waiting for our first fight? Hoping they can capture it on film huh?" Jessy replied. "Yeah that world. They'll give up babe. They're going to get so tired of following us only coming up with pictures of us necking. I can see it now, Drummer Boy still loves his Princess. Boring they'll say and then they'll stop following us." Zac teased as he made love to her for the last time in Hawaii. They hit the main island and soon word was out that the honeymooners had chosen Hawaii and they were surrounded by reporters and autograph seekers. They quickly loaded onto the personal jet and made their way back to the mainland, refueling and heading to Tulsa to find Walker waiting, driving up to the jet to avoid all the press who were camping out as word had reached them that the newlyweds were headed home. "Come on babe." Zac said wrapping an arm around her and rushing her to the van as their luggage was unloaded and as the left they were joined by three look alike vans to confuse the press and as soon as they ditched the last of them, they headed home to be greeted by the whole family. "Gawd Sis you're dark. TayBear that's where I want to go for our honeymoon in five weeks." Chele asked. "What? Five weeks. When did this happen? Sis oh my God." Jessy squealed. "I can't take this you have to put some real clothes on, this island girl look makes me sick." Chele insisted. "Oh party pooper. You're just jealous. Mom, do I have any clothes here? Sis is tired of my half naked brown body already." Jessy asked scooping up Zoe. "Yeah sweetie. We sort of set the spare room up for you and Zac if you don't mind." Diana said wrapping an arm around her and leading her down the hall. "You two look so good. Healthy and happy." Diana said as Jessy chased Zoe. "As good as it was, I'm so glad to be home. I missed all of you, especially you." Jessy declared chasing Zoe again. "Jessy? Babe you hungry?" Zac asked diving onto the bed, snatching Zoe and pulling her to him. "How's my littlest sister?" Zac asked kissing her. "Me happy." Zoe answered. "What you happy about?" Zac asked. "You home." Zoe exclaimed joyfully. "Me Essy too." she finished as Jessy sat on the bed near them as she and Zoe cuddled on Zac. "Baby are you hungry?" Diana asked. "Not really Mom. Let me change and I'll give you a hand, my husband is always hungry. "Hey that's not nice, true but not nice." Zac complained as Diana headed out and Jessy headed to the dresser pulling out underclothes, jeans and t-shirt and changed. "Babe pull me out a change of clothes, I guess shorts in November is a little strange." Zac asked. "You a little strange huh?" Jessy teased. "Really strange, I just watched you strip and then dress and I laid here just watching." Zac explained. "Um your little sister is present. What else would you do?" Jessy teased placing jeans, boxers and a t-shirt on top of the dresser for him and headed out with Zoe to help in the kitchen. They talked all through dinner about the latest releases, the upcoming tour and the next wedding. "One way to ring in the New Year." Zac commented as Jessy headed upstairs with a sleeping Zoe in her arms. Afterputting her to bed she returned sitting in Grampa's lap as Zac headed up with a sleeping Mackie. Next Walker discussed all the marketing ideas Chris had on the two newest singles from the wedding. "See his latest idea." Diana said moving to the closet and pulling out a Drummer Boy and a Princess doll. "I have to put them up. Zoe wants them so bad." Diana said. "Zac I don't know if I want a doll of me out there for sickos to buy. Do we have to?" Jessy asked. "Sicko fans and a doll in my image. Eww Jessy, I never thought of it that way. No way Dad. Give them to Zoe." Zac said. "You sure. I mean I have a set still boxed you can keep as a momento. These are the ones Chris had and he left them for you." Diana shared. They talked a few more hours "Zac if you're going to keep talking, why don't we just stay so I can go to bed." Jessy hinted. "No way. We have our own house and I wanted to take care of you." Zac insisted and said their goodbyes.
