Day Has Come

Part Forty-seven

Jessy woke rested and raring to go. She was up showered, dressed, breakfast made, a goody basket packed for the plan ride when Grampa appeared ready for breakfast and as soon as she served him, she was off to wake the girls. "Mandy, time to get ready to go Sis." Jessy called and on the first call she was up showering. Chele on the other hand was being difficult, "That's okay Taylor should be here soon, I know he'll get a rise out of you." Jessy said heading out the door. "I'm up already, see I'm headed to the shower. Aaahh that feels so good." Chele said. "Jesus Chele you're still in bed, ain't moved yet. If water is running, you're in big trouble." Jessy teased and ducked as the pillow flew past her and hit Mandy in the face. "Die Troll Princess. I heard about you and I ain't taking none of your grumpiness." Mandy said diving onto the bed. "Jessy what did you say about me?" Chele insisted to know. "Sis I didn't say a word." Jessy said. "No, Taylor told me." Mandy shared, adding, "We've spent the whole summer together, I sort of knew you weren't a morning person." "He is dead the minute I see him." Chele fumed heading to the bathroom. Jessy made her bed, retrieving the cell phone and headed to her room to finish packing her bags, placing them by the front door and joined Mandy and Grampa for breakfast. Walker and the boys arrived and joined them for breakfast, "Tay give me a hand." Jessy asked and when he made it to the kitchen Jessy shared what had happened. Taylor took the back way to the stairs and headed up, finding her still in the shower. "I hear I did a bad thing." Taylor said as he closed the door. Chele peered out of the shower curtain, "When did you get here?" Chele asked. "Just now. Everybody else is eating breakfast. Sis told me I put my foot in it. Baby I really didn't say anything she didn't already know. We all teased you at the lake. I guess I just didn't think about what time of the month it was when Mandy and I were talking last night." Taylor explained. "Oh you think you're so smart." Chele said sticking her tongue out and returning to her shower. Taylor quickly slipped out of his clothes and joined her. "Baby you have to forgive me. I didn't mean for your feelings to be hurt." Taylor pleaded kissing her sweetly, over and over before kissing her deeply, their passion growing. "TayBear, I'm not mad. We got to get out Tay and get dressed before everyone leaves without us. Home alone. I like that thought." Chele said. "Man what I wouldn't give, just me and you for a whole day. Paradise." Taylor shared as they got out dried off. Chele dried both of their hair and as Taylor dressed in the bathroom she returned to her room dressing for the trip to New York. "I'm just about ready babe. Can you zip me?" Chele asked. "Sure sis." Jessy answered giggling, adding, "So Taylor still getting dressed huh?" "Sssh. You want the whole world to know." Chele asked. "That's why I'm here. I just told him to come get you and your bags. So where is he?" Jessy asked. "In the bathroom daydreaming of us spending a day alone probably." Chele answered. "Heaven." Jessy said staring off into space. The girls ran down Chele's bags and shared Taylor had to use the bathroom. "Grampa you all packed?" Jessy asked. "Yeah. It's still laying on the bed though Princess." Grampa answered. "I got it since the girls took off with Chele's. I would have brought them." Taylor mumbled heading to Grampa's room. They cleaned up breakfast dishes, double checked the doors and headed out. Jessy running next door to the neighbors with muffins and to let her know they were headed out again. "Princess you're so sweet." Grampa said hugging her. "Get real, you were afraid to go, you might let slip Gramma is coming with you." Jessy teased. "No make that Princess, you're so bad." Grampa said swatting her butt as she got in the van. No one but Zac noticed the surprise and then the hurt expression on Jessy's face or that she was suddenly unusually quiet. They also didn't notice how hard Zac tried to make her happy, all of his attention directed at her. "Babe, tell me again?" Zac asked. 'What? Tell you what again?" Jessy asked trying to remember what she had said. "You know, how much you love me and would do anything for me." Zac answered. "When did I say that? Anything? You sure that was me you were talking with?" Jessy asked. "Now who else would I be talking too?" Zac asked. "I'm not sure. Let's find out. Gimme your cell phone?" Jessy asked putting out her hand. "Babe you have it in your purse." Zac reminded her. "Excuse me, give me the cell phone you're carrying in your backpack?" Jessy asked and Zac reluctantly handed her the phone. Jessy quickly called up the last number dialed and time and redialed the number. "Hey yeah you up still?" Jessy asked. "What? Who is this? Up still?" some girl answered. "Yeah like you still up from when your Hanson like called you. He did call you? Bummer them going out of town again. I don't think he'll call me, she's there." Jessy said. "Oh it won't last he'll dump her soon, and then he'll be mine, all mine again." she offered. "This is all my fault. I told him I wouldn't be seen with him and now this." Jessy said. "You what? Fool. Didn't you think he'd have to be seen with someone. Especially his little brother being engaged. You did know that right?" she asked. "Yeah he told me about that. Still don't believe it." Jessy said. "Oh from what Isaac said, he's madly in love with her, they're engaged, getting maried, going to have kids, the whole fairy tale life." she said. "Way cool. I don't know if that's for me though." Jessy said. "Yeah I know. I just want to have fun." she said. "Well gotta split. Maybe, just maybe he'll call again. See you." Jessy said hanging up, sick to her stomach. "Sssh babe it's okay." Zac assured. "No it's not." Jessy whispered back but with such expression it was like screaming it. "You knew?" Jessy asked. "It's not what you think." Zac suggested. "Think. I don't have to think, she spelled it out. He's going to dump her soon and he'll be mine again, all mine. What's there to think about?" Jessy insisted to know. "She said that?" Zac asked surprised. "Oh he's lying to you too." Jessy suggested and Zac was quiet. "Baby it's going to be okay. Somehow they'll work it out. Don't let it change us okay Zac?" Jessy asked wrapping her arms around him, holding him close, kissing the top of his head as he rested his head in her chest. Jessy stroked his hair and gently rocking him. "Babe do you think he's just fooling himself, thinking he is just friends with her. That's what he told me, they're just friends, have been for years." Zac asked. "Possile hun. You have no idea how many Mrs Zachary Hanson there already are out there, and three times as many girlfriends. I'm surprised you have time or energy left for me." Jessy teased. "Babe you know..." Zac was explaining as Jessy interrupted. "I know you love me more than anything Zac, anything or anyone. Just like I love you, now and forever. You are God's great plan for me. I'm so sure of it Zac. We're meant to be together forever and have a bunch of happy, healthy, kids." Jessy shared. "Not right now. Sorry kids you have to wait." Zac said lowering his head and kissing her belly. "Zac you're okay with it aren't you. I mean I thought you were, you were right there asking questions and everything." Jessy asked as they pulled into the terminal and then onto the runway and the company jet. "Let's get unloaded guys." Walker said and the guys headed to the back of the van. "You okay Princess?" Grampa asked the strange look on her face. "Daddy I'm running in to the terminal and use the bathrooms." Jessy said taking off on a dead run to the terminal, Chele in hot pursuit. Jessy refused to share and asked that she drop it for now. "As long as you're okay." Chele asked. "Yeah sis I'm okay, Zac and I are even better. Now New York City awaits us." Jessy declared. "Look out world here we come." Chele screamed and the two raced back, boarded after kissing Daddy goodbye and they were off to get Gramma. When they landed in Kalamazoo, Jessy got off and ran in to see who brought Gramma to the airport and visited with her cousins. Jessy brought them to meet everyone else while they loaded Gramma's bags. "Knock 'em dead Jessy." Sunny said. "And have a blast doing it." Christi teased. "Hey you guys would make great chaperones, interested? How about you Miss Law School, I'll pay you well." Jessy asked. "Jessy you're unbelievable. When, where?" Christi asked. "Up until the wedding and where New York, LA, New York, Chicago, New York, LA. I don't remember them all." Jessy said. "Let me check my class load, or maybe I'll just drop out and pick up next semester." Christi said. "Both of you?" Jessy asked. "Mike would have a fit." Sunny said. "I'll e you after Rosie and get you the schedule or here, this is Daddy's office, call him and tell him who you are and what I offered you. He can fill you in on what's up with me, stuff I don't even know." Jessy said writing the number down and the girls were off and the jet was back on the way to New York City. "Christi a chaperone. God we'd have a blast." Chele shared. "I know it'd be just perfect." Jessy shared slipping back into her seat and her hand back in Zac's which finally got his attention. "Hun you okay? I'm worried. You know I didn't meant to find out and I won't say anything to Mandy. I couldn't break her heart that way. Isaac did and he'll be the one to tell her not us." Jessy whispered. "It's, it's" Zac said looking at her in such disbelief. "Hun it's just that he's human. I know he's your big brother hun, but sometimes even our heroes let us down." Jessy whispered placing her forehead against his. "You understand then?" Zac whispered. "Been there, done that. It's the pits." Jessy whispered, adding, "But you, you're lucky. Cuz even though it's the pits, you won't notice cuz I plan on doing this." Jessy said kissing him deeply, with such love and emotion, Zac moaned her name in a matter of no time. "Babe I love you." Zac moaned. "Me too but I think that's pretty obvious. I got the hots for you." Jessy declared kissing him longer and harder than every before and when the pilot announced they could get up and move around if they wanted, Jessy moved directly to Zac's lap to do some serious necking. "You two are heating up the entire cabin." Taylor teased. "Try it you might like it." Jessy teased and that he did pulling Chele to his lap, "You sister said I should do this." Taylor said kissing her deeply. "You better listen to her she knows what she's talking about." Chele said kissing him back. They sat side by side necking their way to New York City and all four moaned when the pilot informed them it was time to buckle up. "Maybe we can do it again sometime." Jessy teased as Chele got up. "Right a make out party huh?" Chele answered. "Yeah but next time your place." Jessy teased moving back to her seat. Chris met them at the airport and delivered them directly to the show for make up and wardrobe while Grampa and Gramma checked into the Hotel for the show. The show started and as the lineup for the day was announced, the audience went crazy and screamed right through the introduction of Rosie but she entered like a trouper and joined the screaming. Finally, "I have to tell you something. Ssshh. I want to share with you. Okay quiet down this is important and about Hanson." Rosie screamed and the audience quieted. "What about Hanson?" someone yelled. "Push, pushy. I know you love them, all of them and they are all here. My cutie patooties, Isaac, Taylor and Zarchary. Yes Hanson is here but, there is soon to be a new Hanson. No Mom Hanson isn't having a baby." Rosie answered the scream Diana is having a baby. "Dad Hanson sorry, false alarm. No I'm talking about this. I got this yesterday and I just have to share. This is mine, mine, mine but I will share, watch your monitors they'll bring it up. It says here Hanson proudly announces that, The Drummer Boy take his Princess as his wife. Ohhh isn't this just precious. This Drummer Boy, Zac, drew himself. His Princess insisted and he did this for her. It goes on to tell you about the parents believing in them, then this part I'm not sharing about the when and where, could be any where in the world at any time on any day. Now if you're real special, you'll get one of these in it. This is the good part, it invites you to attend the wedding of their lifetime, they're only doing it once, so don't miss it. The happy couple is here, she's going to sing after break and you'll see for yourself what all the hype was about at their recent successful concerts. Talking about the conerts, Hanson is here and they will talk about this Fan Appreciation Extravaganza that took place. And if that isn't enough Taylor and Isaac have brought along their special someones, Chele and Mandy. So don't go away, Jessy will sing right after this. Oh, Oh I'm so sorry. I got so wrapped up in this all, John McD and the McDLT's." Rosie said hurriedly at the break. Jessy sang first and was joined by Zac and they discussed the pending wedding, Jessy's graduation, Jessy's family. Jessy left to change to sing with the girls as Taylor and Isaac joined Zac and they discussed the Fan Appreciation Concert. "I can't stress enough how incredibly special my lil sis, my soon to be sister-in-law truly is. Not only is Jessy one dedicated Hanson Fan, our number one fan is the reason and inspiration for the Fan Appreciation Concert. If that wasn't enough, she is a computer whiz and single handedly got the show up and running. And if that wasn't enough to make us all totally devoted to her, Jessy blew us all away when she spearheaded and was the driving force behind the raising of over $50,000 in donations during the days preceding the concert. Jessy in my book is one very special lady." Isaac finally finished. "I agree with Isaac totally and I'd just like to say she is the most loveable person I've ever met and she's my best friend." Taylor added. "Zac do you have anything to say about Jessy." Rosie asked. "She's all that and more and in spite of that for some reason she loves me, she really loves me." Zac cut up doing his Jim Carey version. "He is definitely a goner where Jessy is concerned. After this break, Hanson, the Younger Years will be performing here on my show. Don't go away." Rosie said going to break. After the girls preformed 'Poison Ivy' before joining the guys, sitting on laps and chatting with Rosie. Chele was thrilled when Rosie gave her an autographed picture and a Rosie jacket and she autographed that too. To end the show they sang 'Boomerang' together and Rosie joined them after telling the audience "Under each seat a copy of the 'Simply Jessy" cd and remember coming soon Hanson presents, The Younger Years cd will be released. Bye Bye." Rosie said and they all waved goodbye. After chatting with Rosie, Chris finally gathered them up and they made their way outside to screaming and adoring fans. After taking time to sign a few things, shake a lot of hands, poise for pictures, the group finally loaded up and headed to the Hotel and naps, resting up for the club hopping they were scheduled to do later that night. "Alone time you want, alone time you get. Be good though. Mandy I promised Sis some alone time to make up for teasing this morning, okay?" Jessy asked. "Sure I owe you more. Enjoy but not too much." Mandy said wrapping an arm around Jessy as Isaac scowled. "Bed preference?" Jessy asked entering the room. "Nah doesn't matter." Mandy answered as Isaac scowled again. "God I'm bushed. Hun take my shoes off." Jessy asked flopping on the nearest bed and Zac not only took them off but he rubbed them, "Anything it's yours, just don't stop. See I told you, you said more than anything and now it's mine." Zac teased. "You're so good to me." Jessy declared crawling into his arms. "Hun what would make you happiest?" Jessy whispered. "Babe you are all I want and I have your love. You make me happy Jessy." Zac confessed kissing her deeply over and over finally connecting, becoming one as he rolled her over laying her down next to him as she cuddled in his arms, laying her head on his chest. They were soon sound asleep until Jessy heard something. She raised her head looking around the room noticing Isaac was missing and she heard the toilet flushing and soon Isaac was standing in the doorway gazing at Mandy. "Sorry Sis. I didn't mean to wake you." Isaac whispered. "That's okay. Can we talk?" Jessy whispered. "Sure kiddo, what about?" Isaac asked. "Care to go for a walk?" Jessy asked. "Serious huh?" Isaac asked. "Yeah Isaac." Jessy answered grabbing her shoes before making it outside where she stopped to put on her shoes. "What's up?" Isaac asked and Jessy explained what had happened. "Honest I wasn't being nosy, we were just kidding around. There's no way I expected someone to answer, someone to tell me Isaac thinks that Zac and I lead a fairy tale life, but most of all someone to tell me your dumping Mandy soon, and you'll be hers again, all hers." Jessy finished her face mirroring the sadness and disappointment. "Jessy it's not like that. Please you have to believe me." Isaac pleaded. "Does Mandy know about your old friend?" Jessy asked. "No. I didn't see any reason to tell her." Isaac answered. "Then why should I believe you. If it was nothing, Mandy would know her, or Zac at least. You have no idea what this did to him. The hurt you helped me put on his face. I won't forget anytime soon." Jessy explained. "Jessy she really is a friend, we never even dated." Isaac explained. "So what, I know a butt ugly girl who never dated either but she was laid by about every guy in my class." Jessy shared. "Jessy don't think that. I didn't. You know that from the lake and Mandy, remember? I didn't sleep with her Jessy. I haven't been with anyone that way but Mandy and that's the way it will stay. Jessy she's the only one for me." Isaac pleaded following Jessy into the stairwell where they sat and chatted. "Jessy, Jessy." Zac called. "Hun. Zac. We're down here." Jessy answered making her way to the door. "Why couldn't you sleep?" Zac asked wrapping his arms around her and kissing her, pulling her out of the doorway. "That's my fault. I tripped on a chair leg. Surprised I didn't wake all of you." Isaac explained noticing Zac looking away avoiding eye contact. "Zac, man, there's no way she's anything to me but a friend. I wouldn't let it be anything but that you know that. Just like you wouldn't let anyone come between you and Jessy. Mandy is my life now." Isaac explained. "Yeah I bet that's what Mandy thinks now but what would she think if she had hit redial. She deserves to know. She's just a friend right. You didn't call Mandy this morning. Mandy should be your friend. Jessy is my best friend." Zac shared as Jessy hugged him. "How'd you guys get it so right. You remind me of Mom and Dad, you know like it's no big deal." Isaac insisted. "It isn't. Right babe?" Zac asked. "No big deal. It just is. I mean we work at it all the time but it keeps getting better and better because of it." Jessy shared. "You gotta be honest with her. You owe her that." Zac said. "Don't you think Mandy loves you enough, enough you can be honest with her. Remember our beginning? It was a toss up whether we hated or loved each other. We ran so hot and cold, I loved but he hated. When he loved, I hated. I can't explain whatever made Zac risk it all. Isaac that day at the lake, he bared his soul to me. I'd never felt so connected to anyone. There wasn't a thing he could have said that would have changed the way I felt about him and still isn't." Jessy explained. "Babe care to have our own make out party?" Zac asked sitting on a step and pulling her to him. "Don't mind if I do." Jessy said kissing him sweetly. "I'm going to go try this bare my soul to her method of yours Zac. Thanks for caring you two." Isaac said heading to the door. "Of course we care, you're our big brother." Jessy explained as she and Zac enjoyed each other's company in the privacy of the stairwell. "I like this alone stuff Zac." Jessy no more than shared. "You'd think they'd really have it down now." Mandy said. "Care to try?" Isaac asked sitting on the step next to Zac and Jessy, pulling her to his lap. "Don't mind if I do." Mandy said kissing him sweetly, adding, "They appear to have this down quite well." Things only got better between Isaac and Becky, it just was. The group made the rounds that evening, the press was everywhere and the six of them were the hot topic. They sang and danced there way all around New York City until almost the break of dawn, "I feel like it's the day after tomorrow." Jessy moaned. "Party Pooper. That's wha...." Chele teased falling asleep in mid sentence. "Aahh isn't that cu..." Mandy said falling asleep. "Lightweights! Where to now." Jessy asked. "Back to the Hotel Jessy." everyone said in unison and gave a collective moan.
