At Kersplatt the girls humiliated the guys once again as they came out spotless and the guys looked just like living rainbows as Jessy had predicted. What the guys didn't know until too late, Jessy had invited Bobbie and the gang over as insurance that the girls won and it was more like three to one odds in the girls favor. "Man Bobbie, I owe you big time for this one." Jessy said. "Little momma then get me seats for this concert of theirs, I hear you're singing." Bobbie said shocking her. "How'd you hear that? Bobbie I just thought maybe a couple of days ago. I mean just yesterday I told the guys and their rep I would. How did you... Zac Hanson?" Jessy said turning, glaring at Zac. "He's our best friend of course I told him." Zac argued. "I guess he is, but I wanted to tell him." Jessy pouted. "Little momma you're good. Pout that lip gurl." Bobbie cheered on, adding, "Zac how could you." "But baby, when I figured you were going to have us ambushed by your posse here, I just sort of let it slip." Zac confessed taking Jessy in his arms. "No, I'm mad at you." Jessy said turning her face away as he tried to kiss her. "But baby." Zac moaned rubbing her butt. "Don't be playing with my butt either." Jessy said pushing his hands away. "Don't Jessy, please don't be mad at me. I'll get the gang their tickets, front row for the early show. Okay baby?" Zac pleaded. "I don't know. Bobbie front row okay?" Jessy asked. "Sure little momma. You sure know how to get what you want from the old man." Bobbie answered. "Uh no I don't, I've been begging for a long time and he just tells me no way." Jessy squealed and headed towards her sisters. "What was that about or don't I want to know." Bobbie asked as Zac nodded towards the locker rooms where Zac explained Jessy's remark. "I've never wanted anything as much as I want her Bobbie, but I just can't. I think I've gone crazy." Zac shared. "Way cool Zac. I knew you loved her, but not that much. Such respect. You are about the best thing that could have happened to her." Bobbie said, lowering his head, adding, "Man from the first time I laid eyes on her over at the park, I knew she was something special. When I figured you two were a match and you were buying her all sorts of things, sorry dude but I didn't think you deserved her. I was wrong. Way wrong Zac, you are so right for her. I'm really happy for you. She's actually begging for you. Cool move." "Where's Zac?" Taylor asked. "He went to change I think." Jessy answered. "What's the matter lil sis?" Isaac asked. "Oh I was just .. " Jessy stopped as Zac reappeared and their eyes met. As Zac smiled and opened his arms to her, the biggest smile came over Jessy's face as she raced to his arms, "Sorry." they said in unison. "I am Zac. I wasn't mad hun, I shouldn't have pretended I was." Jessy confessed hugging him tight. "Jessy I shouldn't have told Bobbie even though he is our friend. He hasn't told anybody and he won't okay? Jessy I love you babe and I was proud of you that's why I told Bobbie." Zac explained kissing her tenderly. "I love you too Zac." Jessy said hugging him even tighter. The others changed and they loaded up and headed to the market. "So what do you girls want for supper." Isaac asked. "Steak." Mandy said. "Fettucine Alfredo." Chele said. "To not have to clean up after you've made supper." Jessy sighed. "That ain't on the menu girl." Zac teased hugging her tight. They had a blast shopping, cart races, dancing in aisle five, "Zac? Did you guys see Zac? He was behind me and when I turned around he was gone." Jessy shared and they all stopped and looked for Zac who had purchased a toy fishing pole and ugly hat and then headed to the fish counter, dragging a lawn chair he'd spied in one of the aisles, setting up at the lobster tank, casting his line in the tank and kicking back. "Jesus Zac." Isaac burst out laughing as Zac came into view. "Got a bite yet Zac?" Taylor asked bursting into laughter. "Is there a limit Zac? You know I was going to say lobster instead of steak." Mandy asked. "I gotta pee, this isn't funny." Chele said crossing her legs. "Taylor take care of that it's embarassing." Isaac said as Taylor took Chele's hand and led her to the restrooms. "Slow down. It's not easy walking this way." Chele whined. "Mommy, look that's Taylor Hanson with strange walking girl." Jessy said in a high pitched voice. "Shut up Jessy." Taylor ordered. "Did you tell my sister to shut up?" Chele asked stopping in the middle of the aisle. "Not now baby, you got to go to the bathroom remember?" Taylor asked. "No I don't remember, I always stand like this." Chele said. "Yeah, we all do." Jessy said crossing her legs. "It's a girl thing." Mandy said crossing her legs. "Yeah the guy thing is like this." Isaac said putting his knees together and placing his hand in front of his crotch. "What I wouldn't give to be a guy, that looks like fun." Mandy said. "I don't get it." Jessy said putting her knees together and her hand in front of her crotch. "Not until your wedding night." Chele and Mandy answered in unison. "You sound like Zac. Can't be, Zac went fishing." Jessy teased as Chele made a mad dash for the ladies room, followed by Mandy, followed by Isaac heading to the men's room followed by Taylor. "Was it something I said. Yoo hoo, where'd everybody go." Jessy called after them. "Zac they ditched me." Jessy said making her way back to him. "Awww. Was it something you said or did?" Zac asked. "How could you ask such a thing?" Jessy asked. "You sent me fishing for supper babe, remember?" Zac answered. "Oh, I did, didn't I." Jessy replied sitting on his lap kissing him sweetly, "And here you are. You love me, you really love me." Jessy declared loudly. "Enough is enough babe. I haven't had one nibble. Won't you let me buy you supper instead of catching it." Zac pleaded loudly cracking up the workers. "Give him a break lady. He's tried at least." the workers shouted. "Oh all right. You can buy me supper then." Jessy shared and they cheered. They grabbed the cart and headed up front to check out. The others finally showed and the loaded up and headed to Grampa's where the girls went blading, while the guys fixed supper. "Hey Jessy. It's been a while girl. You get engaged and don't come down no more?" the gang called out. "Nah, been busy on the concert only got two weeks to go." Jessy answered. "You guys seens Ash?" Chele asked. "Bladed to the store to get something to drink." Ken answered. "Guys this is Mandy, Ike's fiance." Jessy introduced and started naming off the gang. "Man that's two down. I suppose you're going with Taylor?" Barbie asked. "Matter of fact, she is. I predict Taylor will convince her to marry him by the end of the years. He'll wear you down yet Babe." Ash declared. "Hey, Nikki, Ash." Chele said. "Jessy saw your picture in the paper this morning." Nikki shared. "I what?" Jessy asked shocked. "It was okay sis. Last Sunday at church. Didn't you see the photographer? Mr H did, he talked to him sis. It was a nice article for a change." Ash said patting her hand. "Man Ash." Jessy said not feeling well. "Sis you're not looking well. You okay?" Ash asked sweeping her up in his arms and heading to his car. They loaded up and headed to the house, Ash beeping the horn as they pulled in the driveway, "Where's Zac. Jessy's sick or something." Ash hollered to Taylor who stepped onto the back porch. "Zac it's Jessy. Ash brought her home, sick or something." Taylor repeated and all three made their way to the car. "One minute she's fine and then she turned all pale and I grabbed her thinking she was passing out or something." Ash explained as the girls unloaded out the other side and Zac kneeled next to Jessy. "What's wrong babe, you look pale?" Zac whispered. "I don't know Zac but something's wrong but not with me." Jessy answered. "God you sound like Momma, sis." Chele shared. "No it's not Momma. Man I can't shake this feeling Zac. I'm scared." Jessy whispered wrapping her arms around his neck. "What do you mean she sounds like Momma?" Isaac asked. "Momma just knows things when they happen, usually bad things." Chele explained as the phone started ringing and Taylor headed in to grab it. "Jessy it's Momma she thinks there's something wrong with you sis." Taylor called out. "Ben. It must be Ben because I'm fine." Jessy gasped. "Taylor tell her wrong twin this one has the same feeling she does." Zac hollered. "She'll call us right back as soon as she knows anything." Taylor shared as Zac took off Jessy's blades, then carried her into the house. "Zac I'm okay hun. Just spooked. I can walk." Jessy complained. "You know I'll take any chance I can get to get my hands on you." Zac replied. "I love you so much." Jessy confessed leaning her forehead to Zac's. "I know babe." Zac replied. "I need the phone Zac." Jessy asked and dialed. "Hello Reverend Turner? It's Jessy is Grace there?" Jessy asked. "Yes Jessy, dear is everything okay? Grace it's Jessy, somethings not right." Buddy said. "Jessy dear what's wrong?" Grace asked. "Have you heard from Momma yet?" Jessy asked. "No. But we just walked through the door and haven't checked messages, there's three of them. Why Jessy?" Grace asked. "You know Momma's feelings, well I had one at the same time she did and I was wondering if Ben is okay?" Jessy asked. "Oh dear I don't know. He'd be at school right. Buddy can you go to the high school and check on Ben for me, please? Don't ask, just go?" Grace ordered listening to Barbara's same request. "Jessy Buddy's headed that way they know him in the office, the girls will tell him. Other than this, how are you?" Grace asked. "Did you get my last letter?" Jessy asked. "Yes dear I have one started to you, but you know." Grace laughed. "Well since that letter, I found out the Jerky Grandson is the love of my life. I'm engaged to Zac Hanson, we're getting married in November, the second, if you can come. Invitations will be going out the end of this month, we're sort of busy with their concert. Grace, I'm going to sing." Jessy shared. "Wonderful. It's about time you shared God's gift." Grace said. "Here comes Buddy now." Grace said anxiously. "Buddy something's wrong, what?" she asked nervously. "There was an explosion at school, we have to go to the hospital the flew him to Bronson. Let's go woman. Jessy we'll call you on your cell." Buddy yelled and the line went dead. "Jessy what is it?" Zac asked. "Gramma answer if you're there. Grampa." Jessy said frantically. "Hang on child, what is it?" Grampa answered, adding, "Your grandmother is still on her way in from the car." "Grampa my brother Ben has been hurt, he's at Bronson. There was an explosion at school. Get her there now." Jessy ordered. "We're going. We'll call." Grampa said and the line went dead. Jessy tried dialing but by now her hands were shaking, "Who you trying to call sis? Let me." Chele said sliding in next to her. "Momma, to let her know." Jessy choked out. "Zac I want to go to church, okay?" Jessy asked. "Sure babe. Let me get your shoes." Zac said heading to the porch. "Buddy and Grace will call on my cell. Grampa and Gramma will call on Grampa's line. Zac you got your cell?" Jessy asked. "Yeah babe they'll call us if they hear." Zac answered slipping on her shoes and taking her hand. "Ash you got to move or give me the keys." Zac said. "They're in it Zac. Go ahead take it. I think we'll stick around." Ash answered. "Come on babe." Zac said leading Jessy to the car, drove her to church and lead her inside, kneeling and praying with her. When Reverend Miller entered, Zac rose, made his way to him and explained. "I'm surprised your parents didn't call me for a prayer circle for Ben." Reverend Miller said causing Zac to gasp. "I haven't called them. They don't know." Zac shared. "You stay with Jessy, I'll call them." Reverend Miller said returning to his office. "Wait Reverend Miller maybe this is word." Zac said answering his cell phone noticing Jessy praying even harder. "Hey." Zac answered. "Zac, Grace called Ben is going to be okay, he's.." Chele shared "Jessy he's going to be okay. Grace called. Come talk to sis she'll tell you what they know so far. Babe don't cry." Zac said making his way to her, wrapping her in his arms. Jessy listened as Chele explained that Ben was burned on his arms and hands trying to rescue fellow students. He was being held under observation to insure there was no lung damage. She also reported that Gramma had arrived and Ben would be staying with her during recovery. They made their way back only to find dinner had been sacrificed, burned to a crisp and pizza had been ordered and would be delivered soon. They celebrated the good news, discussed the New York trip, the concert until they finally crashed.
