The alarm sounded 7am "Chele did you hear that time to get up girl?" Jessy asked making her way to Chele's bed. "Come on get up" Jessy said as she plopped down next to Chele. "Oh god Jessy. Not yet." Chele moaned. "Sorry sis, the clock says so." Jessy said adding "You don't want to be late on your first day. Bad impression." "Ok I'm coming. Just stop bouncing on the bed." Chele said getting up and heading up to the bathroom. Jessy made her bed, and returned to make her own and dressed in shorts and tee for her day. She put her hair in a ponytail, stopped at the bathroom "Do you want anything for breakfast beofre you leave us?" Jessy asked. "Toast and coffee would be nice." Chele said. "How long do you figure it would take to get to down town from here?" Jessy asked. "Five ten minutes tops." Chele said. "So you gonna leave at ten after?" Jessy asked. "Yeah that's what i figured." Chele said. "Well I'm heading down to make your coffee. Be down in forty minutes. I have all my clothes hung up, you're welcome to anything you need or want." Jessy said heading for the kitchen. "Thanks sis." Chele yelled. Jessy hit the stairs and hit the bannister once again, improving her landing. She made her way to the kitchen making coffee, made herself a bowl of cereal, checked the menu on the refrigerator and started to prepare Grampa's breakfast. 8am she put in Chele's toast, and headed upstairs. "Wow you look nice in my clothes sis." Jessy teased seeing Chele at the top of the stairs. "Toast just went in, so come on down." Jessy said. They sat and talked while Chele ate.Jessy walked her to the car, grabbed her blades from the trunk and wished her a good day. jessy got back in the house, finished preparing Grampa's breakfast and wrote him a note explaining she had "Grampa, I fixed breakfast and was going blading to see the our neighborhood. Be back in an hour." Jessy headed to her room to retrieve her CDplayer, and shades, and finally made her way to the front porch to put on her blades. She headed South, on her second block, she heard someone holler, and looked up to see a white van pass. "CREEPY" Jessy said and skated on until she found a group of kids her own age, blading in a school parking lot. "Hey everybody" Jessy said. "Hey gorgeous." one guy said. "Whoa did i make a mistake. See you." Jessy said leaving. "Wait. Where are you going?" the guy asked. "From a distance i thought i would have enjoyed meeting you, i guess i was wrong. My name isn't gorgeous, it's Jessy. I personally don't like name calling. Labels suck." Jessy said continuing on her way. "Jessy don't judge us all, by Ash's rudness. I'm Kate. Welcome to the neighborhood." Kate said adding "You've met Ash, the rude one, this is Ken, Dave, MIke , Julie, Ronnie, Brian, Barbie, and Nikki." "hey everybody. I'm here for the summer. Living about six blocks back." Jessy said. "Wow that's near where I live too." Ash said. "Oh and I thought i was gonna like the neighborhood." Jessy said to eveyones amusement. "Jessy I'm sorry i called you gorgeous, but you are. Truce?"Ash asked. "Truce for the sake of the neighborhood." Jessy said adding "Where do you guys blade around here?" "Here and if you have time follow us." Ronnie said. "I have forty minutes before i should be back." Jessy said. "Plenty of time" Ronnie said leading the way to a park a few blocks over. "Cool" Jessy said looking at the ramps, jumps and half turn pikes, moving her headphones back to her head and cranking the volume. She skated off having a blast. "Wow you're good." the group said. "Thanks. It's one of the things i love to do." Jessy said. "It shows." Nikki said. "Hey Jessy can you do this?" Ash said taking a few jumps. "AWW. That's kid stuff." Jessy said laughing adding "Try this." as she took the first ramp reaching back to grab her feet in mid-air, landing to turn a backflip off the last jump. "Damn. Hot stuff. Where'd you learn that?" Brian asked with the look of amazement on his face. "Mome said i was hanging with the wrong crowd. I had fun." Jessy said. "What kind of crowd you hang with?" Ken asked. "I get along with anybody." Jessy said. "Except Ash." Barbie said laughing. " Ash and I will get along just fine." Jessy said hugging him adding "otherwise i'd hav to beat his ass." Jessy said hugging him real tight. "I give. Jessy and I will get along just fine." Ash said laughing. "Sorry guys but i have to get back. Later." Jessy said leaving. "Wait Jessy. Here's a short cut, head home this way." Ash said. "Thanks Ash. You guys here all the time?" Jessy asked. "Um yes on nice days, up until about noon, then we hit the pools. And usually get back around 6 or 7p. Make sure you come if you get a chance." Mike said as Jessy left taking the short cut home. As the white van pulls into the park. "Hey guys.What's up?" Zac said. "Man you just missed her. Gorgeous." Ash said. "Missed who?" Zac asked. "Jessy." Ash said. "Who is Jessy?" Zac asked. "Some hot chick here for the summer. Heavenly."Ash sighed. "It'z just the way my day's going. Downhill, real fast."Zac said. "Was she with someone my age?"Tay asked. "Nope all alone. Why?" Dave asked. "We're looking for a pair that came in last night. Zac's and mine. Lost them around here last night."Tay said. "Sorry man can't help you." Mike said. "We just came from Grampa's. He didn't see them." Ike said. "If Grampa didn't see them, they aren't here. Maybe they are in the new suburb just north of here." Ash said. "Well thanks. Nice seeing all of you again." Zac said and headed back to the van, and headed towards the new suburb. "Hey Grampa. I'm home."Jessy called. "In the kitchen sweetie." He said as jessy entered. "So how was your skate?" Grampa asked. "I had a blast. Met lotz of nice kids my age to hang with all summer." Jessy said. "Well you'll proabably meet Ash then. He lives in the next block." Grampa said. "Can't say it was a privledge. He called me gorgeous." Jessy pouted. "But Jessy you are gorgeous." Grampa said. "It was the way he said it Grampa. Sounded dirty."Jessy complained.
