Day Has Come

Part Twenty

"Loaded up. You three go ahead we'll finish packing the car and meet you at home." Taylor said. "See you later sis. You're going to love their folks." Jessy said trying to figure out the looks between Isaac, Taylor and the glove compartment. "Ouch what is that?" Jessy said unbuckling and moving, sliding her hand between the seats. "Jesus Christ" Jessy screamed pulling her hand back "You carry a gun. Jesus Isaac how stupid are you?" Jessy said moving to and out the door. "I'm not riding with a gun. Let me out. I'll walk home before I sit in this truck." Jessy said and Taylor opened the door for her to get out as Zac pulled his seat back revealing the barrel of a gun."Jesus where'd that come from. Honest Jessy I have no idea how it got there." Isaac said as he reached for. "Don't be stupid, if it's not yours, how do you know it's loaded or not. Maybe it has fingerprints on it that'll tell who's it is." Zac said. "Jessy it'll be okay" Taylor said holding her. "That easy for you to say, it wasn't under your ass." Jessy laughed tears running down her face. "Oh sis it's okay thank god." Chele said hugging from the other side, making a Jessy sandwich. "Well it looks like you can stop by the police station on our way home. I'm sitting in back." Jessy said as Taylor opened the half door and Jessy crawled into the back seat. They made their way to the nearest police office, a state police post a couple miles away on the outskirts of town. They all went in locking the truck and explained to the desk person and the case was assign to a detective who removed the gun, took the information on the where abouts of the truck unlocked for the past month. The detective sent Jessy back to the front desk for a sucker for him, getting her out of the way to inform them the gun was loaded and a miracle it didn't fire because the safety was off. They finally made it home an hour later but no sign of Taylor and Chele. They went in first to tell of their latest excitement, "I'm sorry I can't listen to this. I detest guns, they only have one purpose, to kill." Jessy said headed to the kids watching MTV. "Not bad Jessie, it's more like this though." Jessy said and started to dance for her. "Hey that's cool. Show me again." Jessie asked. "Mackie, Avie help push the couch and table. please. Way to go muscles, let me see them. Whoa strong dude." Jessy said flirting with Mackie. "Oh the songs over." Jessie said. "It's okay, I have the CD in my car as soon as my sister gets here. I know how to get it to play" Jessy said dialing the local radio station requesting the song, emergency, was trying to teach dance steps and the DJ promised next set. Jessy set the station and turned on the radio "Special request folks, here we go for Jessy trying to teach Jessie, Avie and Mackie some moves so let's all get up and move to BSB's Everybody, Rock your bodies right." They all squealed, Mackie running to explain his name on the radio which brought everyone to see what was going on. They watched Jessy calling and explaining steps for the girls and when she spun she noticed the eyes "Smile pretty girls" she said."What moves Jessy. For you we'll play it out. Move it gurl" the DJ announced. Jessy taught the girls the main step in each number and then showed her extras. Chele and Tay showed up before Bad Boys and the two girls danced, "See girls it's the same basic step and now you set yourself free and soar." Jessy said as she twirled around Chele "You come here often?" Chele hit on Jessy. "No it's my first time." Jessy replied. "I'll show you the ropes little lady." Chele said cracking up. "Yeah and they're probably back at your place, the ropes you know." Jessy laughed. "You're a frisky one." Chele teased. "It's all the cat food. Chow chow chow." Jessy laughed. "Jessy no more. I can't dance and laugh. I'm blonde." Chele laughed."You know they hold lessons don't you, every Tuesday, that's the one after Monday, I think. But I can't think and dance. Blonde you know." Jessy teased. "Oh my do they have this much fun all the time. I'm dying." Diana laughed. "Pretty much Mom. Jessy probably laughs at funerals and gets everybody else to thinking it normal. I love her because she makes me laugh." Zac said. "What do I see around your neck?" Jessy asked, adding, "When? I didn't see it earlier, did I miss it, I'm sorry. It's beautiful." "I just got it from Taylor." Chele beamed. "Whoa from Taylor. Cool." Jessy said "Psst I think somebody likes you a lot." Jessy whispered. "Psst he said he loves me a lot." Chele whispered. "Whoa. True confessions of the Taylor Hanson." Jessy whispered, adding, "How about of Michele Lappert?" Jessy's eyes searched Chele for a sign she had told Taylor how much she wanted him. "Here you go Jessy BSB's latest song written just for you I bet, here's, I Want It That Way" the DJ announced and Jessy turned it off. "I like that one too." Jessie said. "Me too, let's dance?" Chele said. "I'm not slow dancing with you ever again. Last time you pinched my butt." Jessy complained turning it back on. "Dance with the other Jessie" Jessy said making her way to Mackie sweeping him off his feet. Wanna learn to dance?" she asked. "Me do" Mackie said and Jess explained where to put his hand as she got down on her knees to get closer to his height and they moved back and forth to the music. "Why thank you Mackie I had a wonderful time dancing with you." Jessy said kissing his cheek and he ran off to tell his Mommy. "You're so good with him Jessy you just made his life by dancing with him." Zac said pulling her to her feet and wrapping his arms around her. "You I have to marry to make you life, your brother just a dance. He's easy." Jessy teased. " Mom's worried you're hungry, Isaac mentioned you didn't eat supper." Zac said. "Mom I'd love a snack. Let me give you a hand." Jessy said kissing Zac and heading to the kitchen. They made sub sandwiches and were setting the table, "I can't wait to get in church and thank god for not letting that gun go off. You know you were the first person to sit there Jessy. You must work your guardian angel overtime." Isaac said hugging her. "Maybe it was your's working overtime. We saw you and Mandy on the lane earlier. I'm so happy for you two." Jessy whispered. "You are precious." Isaac said kissing her forehead. "Help me get drinks for everyone." Jessy asked. "Four milks, Four waters, three Dr Peppers." Isaac asked and Jessy handed them out to him as he placed the four glasses on the counter. "Fill three of them?" Jessy asked. "No Mackies still takes a half glass, Zoe not even that." Isaac said as Jessy poured and he delivered. They sat for their meal discussing the concert, Isaac running to check for responses. "Whoa we're selling like hot cakes. Jessy there's over a thosand responses already. Great idea using the net kid." Isaac said excitedly. "Mom what else can we bring tomorrow besides the lethal chocolate cake." Jessy asked. "You know girls I haven't even decided what to make. What do like?" Diana asked. "Vegetables" Chele said. "You have to forgive my weird sister. She tries to do what's good for here at the wrong times. She won't eat pork, loves pizza, most italian dishes. Me I'm not picking, I can always find something offered I will eat. I don't care for shellfish but I will eat it. You know we haven't barbecued yet this year and I think Grampa not thrilled with me over it." Jessy said. "Oh Walker would you Daddy loves a cookout. Great idea Jessy. Dear?" Diana asked. "Zac did anybody check the tank, I'd hate for your Dad to run out because we borrowed his grill." Jessy whispered and Zac asked Taylor since he loaded it and Taylor didn't know. "When you unload it you will both know." Jessy said sternly. "You go gurl." Chele said. "Chele will take care of the tossed salad. I'll make baked beans if you don't mind my using your Mom's receipe. I came across them the other day. Sounded good so I made them for last night." Jessy said. "That's why I like them so, Grandmother's Mean Beans that's what we had last night." Zac said. "That's why I thought they were familiar." Taylor said, adding, "Grampa love her pot pie but when you make it you have to invite me." Oh I guess so, pot pie taylor." Jessy teased. "What you going to grill Daddy?" Jessy asked. "Your father's into ribs right Diana?" Walker asked "I'll answer that, with a passion. He's taken me three time for lunch to this little joint on the not so best side of town, great food, but it's hard to enjoy, with the sirens and screams in the background." Jessy shared, adding, "He took me my first day in town. I held onto him so tight. He got such a kick out of it, Jessy was speechless. Yeah it's called sheer terror." Jessy laughed and the all joined her. "Jessy come here a minute, I don't understand this." Isaac asked. "If you'll excuse me. I'll try to bring him back with me." Jessy said, adding, "Keep your mitts of my sandwich." she threatened Zac. "Wow guys you better get serious about what you're going to play, twenty-four hours and it's a third sold." Jessy said smiling "It's going to be great" she told Zac kissing him. "Come on Isaac you promised you'd sit and eat if I answered your questions." Jessy called. "Coming sis." he said taking a seat next to her and the conversation returned to the concert. As they finished, "Isaac bring sis home later when she's ready I'm going to head home and stop by the market and get the cake baked yet tonight. Please?" Jessy asked. "Sure Jessy" Isaac said. "Then you can bring me home, I'll go help Jessy." Zac said. "Jessy should we stop and pick you up for church?" Walker asked. "No I told Grampa he was walking me to church, he's getting pudgy. Somebody spoils him." Jessy laughed, adding, "Sis might like the ride, she's not into torture. It's only eight blocks with a hill, three bad dogs, one blaring music, and a questionable shop."
