"Momma I'm okay" Jessy said to start their conversation. Jessy then explained that she may hear on the radio since you're out in the boonies that Zac Hanson has just gotten engaged. "Honest Momma I'm okay with it. Honest I am." Jessy was interrupted by, "Jessy what are you not telling me? That is the second time in one sentence you have told me honest." Barbara asked. "Momma I'm okay with it because it's me." Jessy confessed. "My god child when did this happen?" Barbara asked. "I accepted his proposal last night. We went this morning to pick out an engagement ring, and the press were all over us. Someone tipped them off that they would meet the pregnant girlfiend of one of the Hanson boys. And you know i'm not, and now the whole world knows i'm not cuz I took a pregnancy test right there to prove i'm not." Jessy said. "I bet you did. It sounds just like you, Hell it sounds just like me." Barbara laughed. "Anyway Momma, Zac and I are going to get married on November 2nd, but haven't set the year. Zac wants this year, and I'm undecided. What do you think Momma?" Jessy asked. "He was at the depot wasn't he?" Barbara asked. "Yeah Momma how'd you know?" Jessy asked. "And Taylor's in love with my Chele." Barbara said. "Damn straight." Jessy said, adding "You having more of your psychic spells again?" "Damn straight girl." Barbara laughed. "Saves me calling you. The boys want to move here." Barbara told her. "Jessy are you there? Jessy talk to me?" she repeated. "Momma hang on this is Zac. Honey pull over to the side. Jessy are you okay?" Zac asked as he walked around the car to her side. "Scoot over and I'll drive."Zac said and Jessy moved to the passenger seat. "I'm okay Momma. Just threw me for a loop is all. It's funny I dreamed that Tuesday night. You all seemed so happy." Jessy said. "What are we going to do?" Barbara asked. "I don't know Momma." Jessy said. "I know not to ask you to move to Watering Hole, Montana. So I won't even bother. I can't put this responsibilty on Chele, it's too much to ask." Barbara pondered. "I know Momma, I could marry Zac." Jessy said. "Yeah that would be an easy solution. I'm not sure if it would be the right one. I'll have to give it some thought." Barbara said. "I will too. Just really wanted you to know before you heard it somewhere else. I got to go to call Gramma. Bye Momma." Jessy said dialling up Gramma. "Hey Gramma. It's me Jessy, and I'm gonna marry Zac. You were right all along. Except he's much hotter than you or I thought. He's gorgeous and he's so nice. I've never been happier in my whole life" Jessy shared. "I just knew it baby girl. When are we gonna do this? I'm not getting any younger." Gramma asked. "Um November 2nd, but not sure what year yet. have you heard from Momma yet?" Jessy asked. "Yes that fool is thinking about moving there. Taking my grandbabies from me. Population 13 now that the boys and her are there." Gramma laughed. "You do know. I'm thinking about this November, I don't want to be number 14. I can't leave Zac now." Jessy sighed. "I can imagine not." Gramma said . "I have to go we are at Zac's house. We have to tell his folks. Bye Gramma." Jessy said hanging up and they headed into the house. "Mom, Dad where are you?" Zac shouted. "Here son. Hey my Jessy." Daddy said hugging her. "Hey Daddy." Jessy said placing her hand in Zac's. "Jessy sweetie, did you have a good time." Diana said hugging her. "Yeah Mommy. It's was a blast. We all get along so well." Jessy said. "What's this? What happened Zac?" Dian asked looking at the bruise, grabbing a tissue and wiping away the makeup. "It's a long story Mommy, I'll tell you everything later, short version Ike broke up with Mandy who blamed me, slapped me, and we smoothed things over and now Ike and Mandy are fine. It's much better honest, Zac took good care of me." Jessy insisted. "Zac baby I'm sorry to accuse you of not taking care of her." Diana said. "It's okay Mom. Mom, Dad sit down, I have to tell you something. I don't know how to tell you this but straight out, I'm marrying Jessy November 2nd. Me I want to marry her this year, she's not sure about the year." Zac said. "My." Diana exclaimed. "That's nice son. When were you thinking, Jessy?" Walker asked. "Honestly, before I met your son, I wasn't going to get married. My first thought when he asked was after college, then it was after high school, and now I'm just not sure, as crazy as I thought Zac was when he said this year, I agree with him now." Jessy explained. "I see. This year huh? Five months from now. Why November 2nd?" Walker asked. "It's the midway point between our birthdays Dad." Zac answered. "Good Day. Wow what will the fans say?" Walker wondered aloud. "We ought to know real soon Dad." Zac said explaining their Mall experience. "My god Jessy I can't believe you handled the press that well. I am impressed." Walker said hugging her and pulling her to his lap. "You sure you're okay with this?" he asked wrapping his arms around her. "Sure I am Daddy. I had Zac with me. Alone I probably would have crumbled. I'm amazed at what I can do by his side." Jessy said snuggling in Walker's arms. "What do I see here?" Diana said grabbing Jessy's left hand. "Isn't it beautiful. Oh Mom I felt like a major pain, this poor man must have shown me a thousand rings and I'm just smiling, nice, nice and every time he left to bring more rings, I was like Zac get me out of here, these are ugly. Zac had asked for something heirloom quality, and I just finally told him I hadn't seen anything I would pass down who wanted a big rock in a gawdy setting. And he said something simple and brought the first rings that weren't ugly and on the third tray, there it was. The minute I say, I knew it was the one and only ring for me. Just like when I met Zac. I knew he was the one and only love of my life. Excuse me Daddy." Jessy said getting up and moving to Zac. "I love you so much." Jessy said caressing his face, kissing him tenderly and sitting next to him. "I love you too Jessy. Life finally make sense since you came into mine." Zac said wrapping his arm around her and pulling her closer as her eyes filled with tears of joy and she smiled. "Well mother what do you think?" Walker asked. "Well I can't lie, marrying at sixteen, seventeen is only asking for problems, there are so many things that will change that you will have no control over, it's going to take committment, a deep committment to weather what's ahead of you. I can see how much you love each other, but you have to realize sometimes love isn't enough, what are you going to do when you're faced with that Jessy, Zac?" Diana asked. "Share honestly, ask two people who love us that have managed to weather their storms for guidance, and pray a lot." Jessy said. "All that and listen to each other, to you." Zac added. "God I would rather you wait, but I won't stand in your way, if it's right for you, I'm behind you." Diana said. "Same here but you need to explore all your options." Walker said. "Thanks Dad, Mom. We will think it through, Jessy's Mom has reservations too." Zac said hugging them both. "Oh Jessy I can't wait for you to be part of the family honey really I can't." Diana said hugging her tight. "Me neither Jessy. You light up all our lives." Walker said hugging her then hugging his wife. "Now the tuffy, let's go tell Grampa. He's going to go through the roof. Maybe I'll call Gramma and she can break it to him. Gramma said when we gonna do this, I ain't getting any younger. She's a gas." Jessy laughed. "Let's go Jessy, we're on a roll. The press, Momma, Mom and Dad why not Grampa too." Zac said. "You feeling okay?" Jessy teased then kissed him, adding. "Then you can tell my sister." Jessy said saying goodnight to his folks. "See you at church in the morning. Mom I'd love to come to lunch now since I talked to Momma today." Jessy said. "You better be here." Diana said. "Wouldn't miss it." she said as Zac dragged her out the door and on their way to Grampa's.
