Graduation

I look up from the ground

Tears streaming down my face
Thinking of all that i have found

In this soon forgotten place
I think of all i'm leaving behind

And all of those i have loved
All the ties that once did bind

Are now cut from above
Its time for me now to walk away

And find something new
Knowing we will meet someday

Know that i won't forget you
All the time we've spent together

And everything we've shared
Floats away like a feather

Just know now that i am free
As i near my final stopping place

I try not to quicken my pace
I slow down as it all comes back
