Aight you guyz! These are the wunderful opz of #Japan that everybody probably loves and cherish ^-^ Behind these nicks are the people whom you've come to know and probably have kicked your ass outta the channel plenty of times. We shout at all of you, warn you, SWEAR at you, but most importantly we all do it out of love *puke* (getting mushy there). Anyway, we ain't monsters or anythin' and you can see how lovable and sweet SOME of us are by clicking on our NICKS to the right.
All the ops of #Japan comes from all over the world. Being an op in #Japan means that the ops should be able to speak "some" japanese or be knowledgeable about Japan (present ops not included). We've got ops that come from the US, Belgium, Sweden, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil, Korea, France, Mexico, and of course Japan itself. The most crucial thing in being part of the #Japan family is that we all love Japan. *3 cheers for JAPAN*
How do people become an OP in #Japan?"
When the need for new ops arises, candidates are nominated by the present ops based on the users character, presence in channel, morals, and participation on/in the channel. Nominees must have regularly attended #Japan for a minimum of 6 months and not be under the age of 18 (this rule does not apply to Ops chosen before) to qualify for AOP nomination. Once a possible candidate is chosen, the nominee is then presented to the channel SOPs where ALL of the SOPs must approve of this nominee in order to be Op'd. New Ops will have a one month trial period, during which they will be observed by other AOPs and SOPs. At anytime a SOP may de-Op a nominee in his/hers trial period if there are complaints about the nominee by AOPs or other regulars. *The channel founder reserves the right to accept or reject any nominees without the approval of the SOPs*
Helpful Hints
1. We don't Op people who ask for Ops. Instead of Op'ing you, we will probably just get you kicked from the channel.
2. We don't Op people because they are "experienced" or because they have Ops on other channels. We want Ops who will chat and participate on #Japan , not Ops who set their script on in 8 channels
3. If you do not gain Ops the first time you are nominated, this does not mean you cannot be considered next time. SOPs and AOPs cast their votes according to the "need" for new Ops. This may change from time to time due to the number of Current Ops.
4. Adding new Ops are held as the need arises. Please do not continually message SOPs asking when the next vote is being held. The Channel Administrator will convene a vote when s/he believes a vote is necessary. Harassing the SOPs or the Founder WILL get your nomination revoked.
*To AOPs and SOPs of #Japan, do not simply nominate a regular just because they are your friend. Being an op in #Japan is a duty and a privilege. SOPs that add a new OP without first telling the founder or are using their SOP position unsuitably will have their SOP removed and placed on the AOP list until a decision has been made about his/her status in #Japan.*
**Temporary OP's are given ONLY when you are the last OP in the channel and you really have to get off the internet.**
