BULLDOG SPIRIT

Local heavy weights Bulldog Spirit have built a very loyal following around Canberra (and Sydney and Melbourne too from what I hear), their brand of oi punk sits comfortably with the punk, hardcore and metal scenes. Their hard work paid off and they got signed by Brutus records in Italy, resulting in this, their debut slab! Musically its guitar driven, solid as shit straight down the line, dirty, evil and ugly oi, with only a few leads to break things up. Lyrically it deals with the corrupt governments, drug abuse and crime that plagues our society but on a more positive note also provokes some thought and encourages ordinary folks like us to stick to their guns and not take shit from anyone. Overall this is a quality release with the sound all being there, to my ears will appeal to fans of Cock Sparrer, Anti-Nowhere Leauge and Motorhead! Lots of short, to the point, infectious songs that are easy to get into, with most tracks being very memorable from the first listen.
