Discard everything you know of your God.
To identify and label any omnipotent force is nothing short of blasphemy.
Faith empowers these forces and being defined by the mind of man becomes these things, these Gods.
Simply put, if the majority of the social consciousness believes and exercises that faith that God is a man then by force of will God is a man.

There are innumerable instances in history where this has happened.
Consider these two cases in point, the Romans, and later in history Santeria.
The Romans invaded Greece and assimilated the Greek deities by renaming them thus Zeus became Jupiter, Aries became Mars, and so forth.
These Gods, although renamed, remained and were essentially the same beings with the same temperments and personalities.
As in Santeria, when the Spanish came into Cuba and the Caribbean Islands the local population did not discard their ancient beliefs and traditions they simply juxtaposed the Santerian deities with Roman Catholic Saints; thus Chango' became St. Barbara and Aganyu' became syncretized as St. Christopher.

The social consciousness of any population that hold any similar belief in anything ethereal or infinite define that which is omnipotent.
I hold that these Gods where Gods only because the minds of the population, the minds of those societies, gave that which is greater than the mind of man a face.
The people gave God those identities and so God became those deities.
I also hold that these deities are not separate beings but the tiniest portion of the same whole, that everything we know now of God is not God but the machinations, the machine, that men have created to understand God.

There is no God that man can comprehend, and so men worship the machines and create the methods with which God can someday be grasped by the soul and mind of humanity.
Our faith, our minds and will are collectively the only thing truly infinite in this universe.
