Diary of a Mad Painter

The Ancient Galleries...

Welcome!...to my breakdown...
Alice Cooper Painting 'A Rose For Emily'.

I have finally and permanently merged my art display sites together. Here you can find galleries of my Jim Morrison interpretations, Alice Cooper portraits, and Marilyn Manson art, as well as some illustrations I'm doing in tribute to the legendary rocker Buddy Holly. In addition, there is a portfolio available for viewing, with some selections of my past works of various other subjects. I hope you will enjoy my presentation of photo-realistic artwork of these rock legends as much as I have enjoyed creating it...

"I treated Art as the supreme reality and life as a mere mode of fiction". ~ Oscar Wilde

All of my artwork is traditional, or tangible; that is to say, created by hand without the aid of any computer programs or enhancements of any kind; this is old-fashioned, handmade work, with hundreds of hours in each piece...there is more info about the artwork available at the various Galleries.

Latest Work::

March 2009: "Mythos", Jim Morrison, 14" x 18", Acrylic on canvas.
Jim Morrison Painting 'Mythos'.

A commissioned piece that took me a little too long to finish, but I guess was worth the wait...the client was happy so I'm happy. Jim is of course once again lost in the Wilderness, out with the hitchikers lining the Great Hiway. I also had in mind the Midgard Serpent, the snake that guards the world, but also The End. The original of this painting is of course not available for sale, having been a custom ordered project. For more about ordering and stuff, go here.

Upcoming Projects...

Expect the unexpected!

I am actively pursuing portrayals and interpretations of both Jim Morrison and Alice Cooper, and most likely will continue with Marilyn Manson art as well; so along with getting a few projects together for the late great Buddy Holly, and legendary ex-KISS guitarist Ace Frehley, I keep pretty busy. I really never know what I'm going to be drawing next until I'm working on it. So please stay tuned, or join my
mailing list and you'll receive updates when I've added new work to the site...

In the meantime, thanks for visiting and don't forget to sign my Guestbook before you leave!
