The following is in no way intended to be a comprehensive links resource for all of the artists below, just ( at the moment anyway) the stuff that I use most. Some of the links will not necessarily be to home pages, but to lyrics or chords pages. Those which I have put here are all very, well..special to me and I could if I had something new to offer do a whole page dedicated to each of them!! However that is NOT going to happen as they are already well represented on the net and there is little that I could add
Lead by ex Deep Purple hard rock guitar legend Richie Blacmore who has now taken to prancing round in the garb of a medieval minstrel! I love it! This is the official Blackmore site.

I was gutted to have missed seeing Maddy Prior in St Ives last year, but hope to one day atone for that sin. Steeleye are fantastic, buy their albums..go on!!! If you don't want them why not just follow this link and get the chords and lyrics instead "Fa la la la its a lovely day"!!!
Has done two of the best albums in recent years in Ophelia and Tigerlily, some of the songs are sheer inspiration. Former head of the 10000 Maniacs is flourishing as a solo artist. Also featured on Billy Braggs 'Mermaid Avenue'. This is the official site.
Most famous for 'The Year of the Cat', but theres much more to this prolific songwriter than that, has done some great stuff. Saw him in Stoke on trent a couple of years back when he answered our request and played the haunting 'Roads to Moscow'!

Fantastic Scottish folk group Battlefield have been around for ever, like Fairport the lineup changes over the years. Now includes the brilliant John McCusker who I made a fool out of myself to at a Kate Rusby gig last year by confusing him with Kate Rusbys brother....Doh!! Incidentally Johns new solo album is to be named 'Yella Hoose"!!!!!!! Hoorah!
