"Sure it's fun for you, you've got a sweetheart of a girl to take care of." Chris said, touching Katie's blushing cheek softly, as he stood and dried the sweat on his forehead with a towel.
"Well, man, I haven't got nobody either." Brian said.
Chris nodded. "I know..." He trailed off, seemingly in deep thought about something on the subject.
"Okay dude, what's up? You're freakin' me out, I know somethin's on your mind." Scotty said, lightly punching him in the shoulder.
"Eww.." Katie giggled, noticing Chris's sweat on Scotty's hand. Scotty wiped it on her as she turned into a mess of giggles. While they were playing around, Chris sat next to Brian.
"Yeah man, what's up? You got a woman you ain't tellin' your doggs about?" He said.
Chris smirked. "I wish." He said quietly.
"Oh no...don't tell me..." Brian said, ready to laugh.
"I AM NOT GAY!" Chris yelled.
Brian backed up a bit. "Yeah, yeah, I'm playin' with ya. So....ya' after somebody?" Brian said. Just as he was about to answer, "Hot Boyz" by Missy Elliot blasted them out from the next dressing room over.
"Okay, this song is played out. Time to leave. " Scotty said, as Brian nodded. "All right guys, go get the limo and whatnot. I'ma take a five minute shower and I'll be right out there."
"Give It To You" by Jordon Knight blasted from the stereo in the living room of the McMahon Mansion. Lexa and Joe were dancing while Jason and Sara sat in the kitchen making homemade pizza for dinner.
"Five bucks says Lexa dumped Jeff to go for Joe." Jason said, peering in the other room at them. Sara rolled her eyes and lightly punched him in the shoulder.
"No, she didn't. I say she's going out for a chic this time. She's been spending lots of time with Joanie lately..." Sara trailed off.
"Now that's ridiculous, Joanie's straight like a line!" Jason exclaimed. "And the pizza's ready."
Lexa was laughing her ass off as Joe spun her around and dipped her. They were both pretty good dancers. Just then, Skippy ran down from upstairs.
"Hey guys, what's up?" He said. He had had the night off Raw that night. Lexa pulled Joe and herself down onto the couch and smiled up at him innocently.
"Nothing, just gettin' our grove on...you?" Joe asked. Lexa stuck her tongue out at Joe.
"I don't know, Riss just called." Skippy said, sitting down next to Joe. "IS DINNER READY?!" He yelled into the kitchen. Sara walked out carrying a pizza on a large glass plate, smiling. Jason wasn't far behind.
"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!" Lexa said.
"Are Mom and Dad coming home tonight?" Skippy asked.
"Nah, we have the place to ourselves. They're...somewhere besides here." Jason answered, cutting a piece of pizza for himself. Skippy walked into the kitchen and soon returned with plates.
"But I'm thirsty...ugg." Joe said, sighing and getting up. Lexa jumped up and followed him into the kitchen. They came back with a bottle of Diet Coke. They sat down to see the three of their friends giggling.
"What?!" Lexa demanded to know.
"Heh, nothing!" Skippy insisted. "So umm, where's my sister Stephanie?" He said, trying to change the subject as he bit his slice of hot, homemade pepperoni pizza.
"With JP," Lexa said quietly, sighing.
"I hate Dad for promising him one of you guys for a wife if he brought the company the money he promised he would. I mean, thank god he didn't pick you Sara.." He took another bite of his pizza.
"WHAT ABOUT ME?!" Lexa said. She had just been with JP earlier that year; he rejected her.
"Sorry Lex. Anyways, I hope he rejects Steph too. He should hook up with that Natalie girl who no one likes.." Skippy laughed. The rest of them joined in the laughter. Lexa sipped some Diet Coke as she reached for her cell phone.
"Who you calling?" Joe asked. She shrugged as she got up and headed up the stairs with her cell, going into her room and closing the door behind her.
"She's calling her new love interest!" Jason yelled. Sara smacked his leg.
"Her eyes and ears are here, shut up!" She said, motioning her head towards Joe.
Joe stepped back and shook his head. "No, no, no, I have no clue who she's with now...honestly." He said, reaching for another piece of pizza.
"Sure ya' don't..." Jason muttered.
"Okay, of course. You know I'm always here for you whenever you need me! I just wish you told me at the arena, I could have went over there with ya'll, but it's all good." Joanie said to Lexa, on the other end of her phone call. Lexa had asked her if she would stop by for the night; she needed someone to talk to.
"Thanks so much Jo. You're such a sweetheart." Lexa smiled. "See ya' in a few."
About twenty minutes later, the doorbell of the McMahon Mansion's front door rang. Joe was sitting on the couch watching TV with Jason, Sara, and Skippy..
He looked at them. "I'm not getting it." He said.
Sara shook her head fast. "Neither am I, Jason is." She ordered. Jason sighed as he got off the couch and walked over to the door. Joanie was shivering, dressed in jeans and a black sweater outside the McMahon Mansion, when she was greeting by her friend Lexa's brother in law, Jason.
"Hey girl! Nice to see ya' this evening, get your cold ass in here before you catch hypothermia!" He said, pulling her into the home and closing the door.
"Thanks Jay. Where's Lexa?" She asked.
Upstairs, sitting in her bed, writing in her diary, Lexa heard Joanie had arrived. "In my room!" She yelled.
Joanie nodded. "Nevermind. By the way, hey Joe, hey Sara, hey Skippy." She said. The three of them gave her a wave as she headed upstairs and knocked on Lexa's door.
"It's open if it's Joanie." Lexa called. Joanie smiled and walked in, sitting down on her bed next to her.
"Sweetheart, what's up? I heard ya' dumped Jeff!" She said.
"Who told you?" Lexa said, appearing alarmed.
"Shh, calm down...he told me himself. It's not a big deal, not everyone knows. I just happened to run into him before I left the arena, that's all." She said, stroking Lexa's hair. "Anyways, why'd ya' do it?" She asked.
Lexa sighed and leaned her back on her body pillow. "Okay Joan, call me crazy, but last night...I had this dream..." She started, gazing out her window at the freezing field behind the mansion.
"Yes, keep going Hun. You're not crazy, dreams tell us TONS about life." Joanie nodded reassuringly.
"Okay, right. Anyway, I don't remember most of it, only one detail is vivid to me..." She said, closing her eyes and she saw the image once more.
"What was it?" Joanie said eagerly.
Lexa sighed. "I remember my bare fingers...running through this beautiful, long blond hair." She said, sniffling, bringing her finger to wipe her nose. Joanie sat dazed, trying to decipher what the dream meant, and had to do with Lexa's dumping Jeff earlier that night. "And the feeling of it...that's what was so freaking vivid to me...I just remember that hair in between my fingers..." She trailed off, once more bringing her glance to the window.
"So...why did that make you dump Jeff?" Joanie asked.
Lexa turned her head and looked her friend in the eye. "Because, I think that hair means something...or someone." She said.
"But Jeff has long, beautiful, blond hair. It could have been his hair, and been a sign that you and him are meant to be!" Joanie said, rubbing Lexa's tense shoulder.
Lexa shook her head quickly. "Jeff has purple and blue hair." She said quietly, looking down at her bed sheets. Joanie just shook her head. She had ideas in her mind, and she didn't like them.
