Golden Sun 2 – The Lost Age

Walkthrough (2nd Half)

The 1st half walkthrough covers the right part of the map, and it ends at Lamuri (the white island in the middle of the see). This walkthrough is from that point on. This walkthrough covers the mostly left portion of the map (a bit right as well). 

1.       Sail to the port where you dig a whole in front of a dog. There will be a big rock block you way. Use sink to get rid of the rock. Then continue forward. At the left side of the map, the monsters are at higher level, you might want to train a little bit. The sea monsters here are harder to defeat.

2.       Sail to the northwest (the upper big island). Sail into the stream or river at the lower-left part into the island. You will find a cave entrance, and just drop off there. Enter the cave. There will be a Mercury which you are not able to catch it for now. When you are out of the cave, go directly to the town. This is the town of native or Indian. Go to the house behind the weapon shop (there is a rope nearby), enter it, but you will be stop by the head of the Indian. After talking with him, show him the Shaman Rod. Then he will leave and go to the back of the town. Don’t follow him yet. There you will have to race him. How it works at the cave doors is: if you are faster, you step on the pad, one box will open and you have to put an item (only weapons or defense items) in the box, then the door will open. If you are slower, you have to give away two items at each door. I recommend you save before you race him. Just try once, and get to know what you have to do to get though at each level. Then reload and race him again. At the end of the race, you will have to fight him. He is a tough cookie (I think) since you have to give away you weapons and defense items. After you defeat him, he will give you a stone or something, which allows you to use levitate. If you want to know how it works out, just go to the left side of the fighting stadium. There is the purple strange symbol, and use “levitate” at the center circle of it. You will be lifted up and able to walk a little bit in the air. You can get to the cave entrance at the left. As for the cave, you need lift to get through the cave, so you don’t really have to enter it for now.  Now the town will be normal, stores are open and people are talking. Go get the Jupiter in the town. You have to use the rope to get to it.

3.       If you want a Dijinni, there is a Venus behind this town. Just sailed to the upper west side of this island. There will be a big sand area close by the see. If you fight a monster in that area, the background is actually a desert. Go to the upper portion of that area, and get into the woods, go east a little bit, close to the mountain. You will enter that venus there. Wonder around a bit, it will pop out.

4.       There is a Mars at this island as will. Travel to the lower west part of this island. You will see a little town. Enter the town, the mars is so obvious to see. All the way up to get the box down to help you to jump to the Mars.

5.       Next step is to the Jupiter light house. Sail down to the south island (lower island). At the lower right of the island, enter the stream and back out into the sea enclose by the rocks. You will arrive at a port, there is nothing to do for now. Just leave and go north, you will arrive a town with a big hole next to it. You can enter the town. There is a gamble tent here. There is a Venus Dijinni at the center of the grass at the left of the city. Use dig at the little empty circle in the center to get the Venus. Also, I believe there is a Mars here as well. It’s hiding in the most upper left trunk behind the inn. You have to use force to get it out the truck. Then you can leave the town.

6.       Go west to the Jupiter Light House. The door inside is locked. Go to the left, and you will see some purple pad. Use the “Tear wind” or “Cyclone” psyenergy on the pad, and it will get you to somewhere else. Actually, whenever you see a pad, just use cyclone on them to get you to somewhere else. You will unlock the iron door by moving the block. After enter the big room, enter the left door in the big room. Complete everything (I think the puzzles are not that difficult, you can figure out yourself). You will eventually u will reach a room, with a ladder in the middle. Climb up, and use levitate on there to active all the levitating spots. There are couple more puzzles you have to solve after active levitating. It’s not hard. After that, go to the room with a red key. Use levitate to get up and so get the key. Now try to find a pad, which is in the middle of tow statue. Use cyclone to get you in the front of the red door. Open it and get to the left side of the light house. There are some broken spots in these rooms here. To get the blue key, u have to up to get it. To get the box, you have to get to the other side of the room, leave the room, and reenter the room, move the pillar and go around to get it. At level with many broken spots. You can go to the right first, and use levitate to get a little straight further, and the drop yourself down at the crashed spot. Continue drop yourself down to get the key. Then you have to up to that level again. This time go to left to get the left margin. Move the pillar to open the door. Then go to the right levitating spot. Levitate to go straight forward, and enter the room on the other side. You will reach the roof, fill in the block spot, and then the statue will shoot an arrow to the center. After that, you can leave now and go back to the first room. Use levitate to get up to the right of the well shooting a bean out. Then use levitate again to get to the bean. The bean will get you in front of the blue door. Finish the right side, it’s not complicated. After the second arrow is shot to the center, go back, and try to get to the top of the light house. On you way, you will meet Isaac!!! And all other guys. No! They are in trouble. Go up help them. Alex will show up in the before you get out, and he will cure you. (isn’t he a good guy now?) Then go out. You guys will talk for a while, and Felix and Picard will go up with the bad guys (I’m not sure about there name). Felix and Picard will light the light house, and then get into a fight. After two runs, Jenna will come up and join the fight. After another two runs, Shiba will come up and join the fight. These two bag guys are both fire. They are not tough. After defeating them, you will get a black stone, which the blacksmith can make it to a cursed item. Alex will show up again, and he will go with the bad buys (oh, he’s bad again. A strange guy). After that, I think you will get back to the town with a big hole near by. You guys will have a long talk. Then, someone will come. Isn’t he? I think he’s the one taught Ivan reveal in GS1. He will show you guys your ship with wings. Yes, wings. When you press B bottom now, the ship will rise a bit above sea level, it can travel on plane land, but not high enough to pass any forest area. Of course, Isaac’s ground will join you. They are all at level 28, they will catch up soon. I think each of them has about 4 or 5 Dijinnis, and they have some Psyenergy from GS1. Such as lift, catch…. But no force…

7.       If you are hunger for some Djinnis, now it’s a good time to get some. At the port (south of Jupiter Light House), there is a rock you can lift on. First use cyclone to tear the grass, and a Venus will show up. Lift the stone up to catch it.  Also, there is another Mars in the forest at the south of Jupiter Light House (the forest is close to a river, and there is a mountain block the river.)

8.       Since you get lift now, you can go back to the town of native. In the cave to the town, use lift to rise the left and the middle stones. The Mercury will run away, but because the middle stone will block its way, so it can go anywhere. In the town, you can go to cave at the left of the fight stadium. There is a Jupiter at the end of it. Try to get it to the middle of a pool, and use reveal to get jumping pad. You will jump on it and make it stop moving.

9.       Then u can sail or the way to the west border. U can see an island on the map, just go to there, there will be a Jupiter there. You need lift to get it. Also there is an item which you can give to the black smith.

10.   Travel way up, there is a little island cover in snow, and a village really obvious. There is a Mercury there. You just have to slide on the ice to get it. Also there is an Apple, and you need catch to get it.

11.   After this little Djinni hunt, you need to sail to the lower part of the southern main land, and pick the a main river to sail up. Sail until you see a red rock, then drop off. It’s called the Magma Rock. At the gate, first go up. On the rock, when you see a blower, just use burst on it, and the blower will shoot something. (The blower face side way will shoot something out; the blower face the front will shoot its cover up to help you get up.) You will enter the cave from above. In the cave, the same, use burst on the blower. The big blower will get a lot of lava out, and allows u to jump on the jumping pad. The puzzles are not difficult. There are two Mars Dijinnis, really obvious to see. What you have to do here is to get Jenna a new psyenergy; let’s call it lighter for now. What it does is to blower the fire. To use this psyenergy, you stand close by a fire, and the fire will blow a bit further to light something else. Use Lighter to light the fire, and there will be a cave hiding behind the pillar. Go to the red burning rock, and you will get cannon ball out of it.

12.   After you complete Magma rock, go up to the northern mainland, and sail along the border. You will see a town. It’s the town of dwarf. There will be a cannon in the middle of the town, use the cannon ball and it will destroy the big wall. Then the dwarf will install the cannon on your ship. There will be couple items you can get behind the wall by using dig and lift, they are for the blacksmith. Also, go get the Jupiter.

13.   Sail all the way up to the north. Find an entrance in the rock. You will see some iceberg there. When u reach the ice wall, the cannon will get ride of it, and so u can sail forward. Then you will reach the Blizzard Town.

14.   In this town, there will be a black rock somewhere, which can be made to a cursed item. Also, there is a Venus; use dig to get it after it gets itself covered in snow. Also there is a Mercury in a house at the right side of the town. Then you can go all the way up to the Mars Light house.

15.   In the LH, go to the right door (the door close to the ice-covered dragon head). Just keep going, until you reach a room with a fire Djinni. Use sink on the ice, it’ll make a split on the big ice down below. You won’t get this Fire for now, so just leave. Use burst on the broken ice. Go to the door at far left, where there are heads blowing flame out. You need to move the dragon statue at the left all the way to the right to black the head at the rights. It gonna take a while. Dodge the fire if the head is coming, and then go push it. The puzzles are not hard afterwards; use Lighter to power up the dragon head, use burst on broke ice. You will eventually get a stone, which allows you to use teleport (the box contain the stone actually is close by the teleport circle). Use teleport on the teleport circle to get u to new places. After you get teleport, try to find this room, which is obvious for using Reveal. There will be a circle after reveal. Well, teleport on it. The next room you go to, you need to slide down, and run fast forward to get to the door (u need hammer to get rid of the ice sticks). If you are too slow, the dragon head’s fireball will bring you all the way down. The next one, don’t go teleport yet, go to the other rooms first, use the dragon statue to block the flame. Then go back to the teleport circle, and teleport. Go all the way to this room, where there are two monsters frozen in the ice. Use light and then burst to get rid of the ice. You will battle with these two dragons; there are not hard to defeat. After that, oh, they are the bad guys. Get the Mars Ball from them, and then face the dragon head in the center. Use the bag Felix has equipped since the beginning. The Mars ball will active the head, and then everything will be cover to Lava. Now you can go all the way back to the first room. To get the Mars Djinni, break the ice of the right dragon head by lighting up the right dragon head, and there will be another door there. It leads straight to the Mars. Then go all the way back to the first room again, this time enter the center room. You will get into a room with another big dragon head and with  one picture on each side. Just stay at the middle of the picture, there will be a door revealed. Go to through each picture, and at the top each, use lighter to light the part of the house. The puzzles are not complicated. But one thing to mention, at the People (the picture) side, in the part where there are flaming heads; in the middle, there are two green boxes, they are actually sand. Use burrow there to dodge the flame. After you light all of the four lights, the dragon head will reveal a teleport circle, which lead to the top of the light house. You can go up and fight with the final boss, the doom Dragon. It’s actually not that hard, but it has this one psyenergy, which can put all your Dijinni to rest. Also, it has one big summon quite powerful. But it’s not that hard to defeat. After you defeat the dragon, what!!! Yes, they are Isaac’s family…… The End!

16.   Actually if you go fight doom dragon right away, you missing some exciting parts of the game. After you get teleport, you can go to couple more places to get some really good combination summon scripts.

17.   Turtle Quest: Go back to the east side, go to the ice island located at the southeast of the map close to the Atlantic region. Help the male Penguin get her girlfriend. He will reward you an egg (I think it is an egg). Then go to the north west Iceland, close to where u get the trident assembled. Use mind reading on the bird, and u will give the egg to her and she will give you something else. Then go to the lower island to get to a cow, use mind reading on it, too. He will exchange you with milk. Then go to an island in the middle of the southern mainland and the vertical ellipse mainland. Use mind reading on the door in the ocean, he will give u a little turtle. Then go to the south east island of the four. The turtle is obvious to see. Use mind reading on the turtle, and u will give the little turtle to her, and she will get you to the cave. In the cave, don't teleport yet, go to another screen, and there will be Venus there. After use teleport, you will get to a big long hall. In the hall, the monsters are quite powerful, especially the blue phoenix, it can attack couple times each turn, but you can get many points from it. There will be a Mercury hiding in the Girl statue; use shake to shake it out. The final boss there will be a green iron guy. He is quite powerful. After you win, you can go get the script there.

18.   There is an island enclose by rocked at the north. There is a point at the upper left part, where you can get into the island. You will need sink and lift in this island. There are empty boxes (how unfortunately!) But don’t give up on check each one of them, there might be something good. There is a Jupiter in the room with many lift-able rocks. To get to it, only lift the center one, and use the rope to get to it. There is a Venus at the entrance to the final room. The boss is the star Magician, who I consider the most difficult boss of all. My tip to defeat him: The focus isn’t on him, but on the green-white ball, which helps to rise the Magician’s defense enormously; the blue ball, which recovers more than 1000 life points. You have to get these two balls as soon as possible. Also, boost up your defense as well. The start magician has this aqua ball, which can cause more than 200 life points on all of you.

19.   Go back to the town with the broken ship, and reenter the desert nearby from there. Go to find the align dots. There will be two sets of them. Use reveal on them. One will have a box in the middle. Another will be an arrow pointing up. Use burrow at the sand fall, which the arrow is point at. Go all the way up, and there will be a cave. The monsters here are even more powerful. There is a Venus; it’s hiding in the sand, you can see it’s moving. Use dig to dig it out. (You might want to set dig as a hot key. You have to use dig at where you cans see it’s moving.) The final boss here, a flying cow. His axe attack is quite powerful, also it can pull your dijinni out for itself to use your summon.  Actually it makes everything easier. After he releases the dijinni for you, you just summon them. Summon them right after, because he won’t really wait for a big summon. After his defeat, you can get the script.

20.   After your get all 72 dijinnis, now you can go to get the remaining two summon scripts. A friendly warning: if your Felix’s party is about level 50, don’t go here yet. Go to the town east to the Jupiter LH. In the middle of the town, there is a teleport circle, use teleport on it. Then you will get transport into a temple. Walk in to the four circles with pictures. After four lights are ignited, the door will open. You will get a script right away, 8 Venus and 2 Jupiter; but not done yet. Continue going down. In this temple the monsters are the ultimate. The puzzle in this temple isn’t really hard. In two rooms, there are empty holes and a flying pat; you just have to step on each one of them to get the flying pat power up. Also, there are three rooms with mirror stones. The mirror stone will help you open the door. The last two are quite hard to figure out; I don’t even remember how I made it through. At the last room, there will be a spider-like picture, with six pieces of stone. You just have to match the picture on the stone to the adjacent part of the picture on the ground. After you put the pieces together, use levitate on the spider to get you to the boss. I think this boss is called Dullahan, and it is the hardest boss of all. He can summon the script you just get earlier in the temple, he can put all your Dijiins to rest, and his attacks are really strong. The only way to defeat him is: before the battle, unset all your Djiinis, and then just use big summons on him. Don’t wait. If Felix’s party is down, don’t try to revive anyone, just let Isaac’s party to fight on. Battling him this way, actually make the fight quick, and he doesn’t seem that difficult to beat. But this boss isn’t the boss you can pool around. After you defeat him, you can get the last script, 4 Mercury and 9 Mars.
