About This Site:

So you want to install Linux? You heard about it, but you don't really know what its all about. You've read all the hype. You're curious, but you're confused by the differing opinons. Its seems so complicated. If this describes you, you're in the right place. Don't worry we're here to help.

Site Layout:

This site is broken into several sections.

The first section, What is Linux?, will introduce the basic concepts of Linux, what it is, where to get, who should use it, and why it is better (or worse) than other Operating Systems.

The second section, Specifications, goes through the minimum specifications required to run Linux, what you should look out for, and some possible pitfalls.

The third section, Installation, goes through the install process and explains what's happening to your computer.

The fourth section, Configuration, shows you how to do some basic configuration of your system, how to add users, set passwords etc.

The fifth and final section, Links, has a list of helpful links and resources on the web, usenet etc.
